The day of our appointment at Childrens hospital for Mason.

It's been a while since I've used this. Someone told me I should journal and get my thoughts out somewhere... so here I am. I want to back track to where it all began on Friday November 17th. Matt and I had to wake up very early that morning to head into Boston. We had a 7am appointment at Childrens hospital for an ultrasound. They're watching Mason's Kidneys. We got there early, as planned so there was no stress trying to figure out where we needed to go. The women who did our ultrasound wasn't the friendliest person at first, but she grew on us. She ended up being nice. She educated us a lot on Masons condition with his kidneys, so we understood exactly what they were looking for and watching. She explained that even though we were referred over to them specifically for his kidneys that they still look at every single part of his body to make sure nothing was missed over at my OB. Not only did they check every single part of his little body, but they also did the same thing for Bailee. We are used to ultrasounds at my OB that are about an hour long. The longest ultrasound we ever had was the anatomy scan which was about 1.5/2 hours. We were not prepared for this ultrasound. We ended up sitting in this ultrasound for THREE and a half hours. We were shocked.

After our ultrasound we had a consult with a urologist who would explain everything they found in the ultrasound. Unfortunately, that wasn't until 1:30... so, we had to sit around Boston and wait a few hours before the appointment. Fortunately, I have the most amazing husband who brought me to the new Central Perk Cafe while we waited. Which for anyone who knows me, knows I am obsessed with friends and that was the HIGHLIGHT of my entire week.. or even month. It didn't really look like the actual central perk in the show, but they did a nice job inside with all the merchandise. They had a few orange couches you can sit on and take pictures on. All in all, it was pretty cool. I got a bagel with cream cheese despite not supposed to be eating that due to having gestational diabetes. My OB told me that I can cheat SOMETIMES and that felt like the perfect time to do so. Matt got some fancy caramel coffee which looked amazing. After we finished there, we still had some time to kill before our consult. Matt saw this place in Boston on TikTok called 'Snowport' in the Boston seaport. It a cute little area of shops, food and drinks with fake campfires, all decorated for Christmas. We went there and we sat and relaxed by a fake campfire. Matt got us food and a drink for himself, and we sat in a circle with a few people we didn't know. One guy was with his wife and baby, they sat down and immediately I asked how old she was. He said she was a month old. She was so cute. He said they had her just in time for Christmas. I said we will probably end up with Christmas babies as well, letting him know i was pregnant with twins. The women across from us said "you're having twins?!" I said yes, we are due Christmas eve. she shared that she is also a mother of twins! How exciting! Love meeting other twin moms. There is just something about a twin mom, they understand what you're going through more than any singleton mother would. Then the gentlemen with the baby said, " I am a twin!" -- WHAT A SMALL WORLD. We just happened to sit down in a circle with these people who all somehow had a connection with either being a twin or being a twin mom. How cool. We walked to this little shop where we bought a candle and me a Boston sweatshirt then left for our consultation. Overall, it was a good day. We managed to enjoy ourselves while stuck in Boston and it ended up being a good appointment for him. His kidneys look good they will just follow his hydronephrosis and want to have a follow up ultrasound and a Cystography to show whether any urine backs up into his kidneys to rule out reflux.

I slept the entire way home; I was absolutely exhausted from waking up so early. When we got home it was about 3:30/4:00pm I was still exhausted. I was supposed to pick Alanna up from the high school football game at 5:00. my husband is a sweetheart and offered to pick her up for me so I could sleep. I slept until about 6:30 when he woke me up for dinner. We watched some tv after dinner and just relaxed the rest of the night. Around 9:30 I started getting what I thought was Braxton hick's contractions...

He Gave Hip-Hop A Voice at the Grammys Before Being Fired. Ten Years Later, He’s Ready To Talk.

Throughout his 15-year tenure at the Recording Academy, Alan Foster’s peers viewed him as an invaluable asset and trusted representative during a time when rap’s explosion was reshaping popular music in the late-Nineties. Foster, a musician himself — he served for years as Little Richard’s occasional guitarist (and assistant) in the 1980s — became one of the few Black midlevel employees at the organization’s main Los Angeles office. During his tenure, he says, it was virtually impossible to be hired or promoted to the executive/VP level of the organization as a Black person. But Foster had become so renowned in his corner of the industry that mogul Ernie Singleton honored him at his 2012 Toast to Black Music Executives, despite Foster never having an executive position.

Foster’s former colleagues say his biggest contribution was as a member of the academy’s awards department, where he was instrumental in diversifying the nominating-committee membership pool and helping to implement important new awards in the R&B and rap categories, such as Best Rap Song, Best Rap-Sung Collaboration and Best Urban/Alternative Performance, among others. During a time when rap was the fastest-growing genre in the country, Foster played a central role in strengthening the relationship between the hip-hop and R&B community and the academy, which was widely seen as slow to adjust to the changing landscape of popular music.

“Alan was extremely helpful in every sense of the word,” rapper MC Lyte, who became the first female chair of the rap screening committee after Foster recommended her, writes to Rolling Stone in an email. “My experience at the academy was exciting, but even more so knowing there was someone I could depend on for clarity and leadership.”

One of the things I didn't get a chance to mention in my discussions about the musicians' entrees for the 10's that were in all shapes and sizes as we have seen was the comeback principle. Every decade manages to bring back a couple of players back together, so the 10's couldn't have been any different. Thus, Olympia found Bryan Ferry working with David Gilmour again on the former 10's introduction. While they did keep in touch since Boys And Girls, Olympia locates them on the LP that holds a place as the ideal of a Bryan Ferry's records thanks to the disc being a collection of what works with him and putting all that through some steroids. We could actually call the disc Ferry's Supernatural, though this might be my cheekiness.

What a wonderful season of life it is for the Matthews family! We moved to Newcrest seven years ago to raise a big, Watcher-loving family in the safe confines of our sweet home church here in Newcrest, and oh, how we've been blessed for that decision! We have SEVEN children aged five and under right now, isn't that wonderful? First we had our first set of twins, Mason and Mitchell! Then our second set of twins, Melanie and Melissa! Then our only singleton, Mark, and then followed our third set of twins and our second set of girl twins, Morgan and Mackenzie!

Being a mom to seven five and under is hard sometimes, but my wonderful husband Michael is firm with me in demanding I discharge my domestic duties, and my love for the Watcher makes me persevere in those trying times! And of course, there's also our loving church community watching us to make sure I don't slip in being the perfect wife and mother!

03–11–20   Courtney announces Pregnancy #11.

As you can see, Courtney was a little slow out of the gate.  She got married a month later, then had a miscarriage, before finally Clint arrived in March 2010.  During that time, Anna had Mackynzie, and suffered a miscarriage of her own.  Then, they each announced a pregnancy in November 2010, then had a baby that summer.  (Michael was born first.)

At that point, Courtney started really picking up speed...  She announced her 3rd Pregnancy, had that baby, and announced her 4th Pregnancy, before the Duggar–Kellers finally announced again.  Anna ended up giving birth first and Courtney quickly followed, but with her 4th instead of her 3rd.  (Basically, she had Babies 3–4 in the time Anna took to have Baby #3.)  This cycle repeated, after that.  Courtney announced and has Child #5, before Anna even revealed her 4th Pregnancy.  When Anna finally did announce, Courtney announced a 6th Pregnancy—with twins, no less!—barely 2 Months Later.  Courtney gave birth to twins (#6–7) shortly after Anna had Meredith (#4), solidifying her now extremely–large lead over Anna.  And she honestly hasn’t slowed down.

Overall, Anna’s Procreative Pace is 772 Days.  Her Firstborn Spacing was 389 Days.  Her Shortest Non–Firstborn Spacing was 573 Days, while her longest was 806 Days.  She has had No C–Sections, all singletons, and home births, and suffered 1 Miscarriage.  By contrast, Courtney’s Procreative Pace is 405 Days.  Her Firstborn Spacings were 293 Days (Projected; She Miscarried) and 452 Days (Loss to Clint).  Several of her spacings have to be adjusted due to Non–Typical (for Courtney) Premature Birth or C–Sections.  After adjustment, her Shortest Non–Firstborn Spacing is 362 Days, and her longest will be 535 Days or so.  (It’s Rogers #11.)  She has had 7 Spacings of 400 Days or Less.  She has had 2 C–Sections, one set of twins, one [unplanned] home delivery, and has suffered 2 Miscarriages.

Courtney Rogers is seriously, seriously fertile.  No joke.  She gives literally all the Predictor Women a run for their money, including Michelle and Kelly Jo.

Kyleigh is thankful for an easier pregnancy, with this baby being a singleton she’s experiencing less exaggerated pregnancy symptoms than the ones she experienced with the twins and triplets. Like with 5 toddlers means that someone is always somewhere doing something they aren’t meant to be - but Kyleigh wouldn’t have it any other way

There’s always small voices asking questions or hovering around somewhere, with the toddlers having growing tummies they’re always eating or drinking something. Recently they’ve learnt that Violet is allergic to peanuts (not deathly, but enough to cause major discomfort), meaning peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are off the table for everyone to avoid accidental allergic reactions via toddlers sharing their food. Kyleigh enjoys seeing the different personalities come out in the toddlers, Chloe is always wanting to be near her mum and is an avid learner. The boys are less eager to learn and need some persuasion to do their flashcards, Rose and Violet are fairly getting the hang of their flashcards, with Rose doing slightly better than Violet.

In terms of sibling relationships, Chloe loves having sisters to play dolls with, whilst AJ and Benji are learning how to share their toys with even more siblings. Kyleigh works hard to teach manners during the day, with a focus on saying ‘Sorry’ as well as ‘Please’ and ‘Thank You’. The harsh winter weather means they’ve been stuck playing inside, which doesn’t have that much space, meaning they’ve all been implementing their lessons in patience and obedience.

While they work on their thinking/reasoning skills, the toddlers are still vulnerable to nightmares/disrupted sleep. Being cranky means they're less likely to be thinking of obedience and their manners, like Benji was in this case. After a quick talking to, Kyleigh was able to soothe him and put him back into bed.

Once all the nighttime interruptions are dealt with, Kyleigh can spend sometime relaxing whilst getting her list of projects done.

Kyleigh, Adalynn, and Macie have started a knitting group and text each other their latest creations. Kyleigh takes this time to put on a face mask she was gifted by Casandra, change into her pajamas, and spend some time knitting things for the kids to wear. Kyleigh and Adalynn have found it more cost effective to knit pieces than have to buy them whenever the children wear out a piece of clothing. Adalynn shared with Kyleigh that she would love to be pregnant at the same time again, but the recent tests she’s been taking have been negative. While disappointed, Adalynn says it’s a lesson on contentment, she and Mason have been talking about doing some renovations on their house, but with their current finances they’ll have to take it step by step.
