Jack Marton is back with a new release: "Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor."

Hailing from Venice, Italy, Jack Marton recently announced a new work titled "Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor," featuring Mason Jennings (the song's original author) and Adam Topol.

"Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor" is an exciting comeback for Jack, who took some time off before eventually returning with this inspired rendition of a classic from Mason Jennings. This project is very creative and one-of-a-kind, highlighting the artist's ability to seamlessly combine a wide range of creative influences while still retaining a very unique sound. The winning factor that glues it all together so smoothly is the song's personality, which goes for a more unique vibe. Mason Jennings and Adam Topol contributed to the song with their creative twist, allowing Jack to further branch out with a very diverse arrangement that will surely excite and intrigue the audience. While the sound of this cover stays true to the spirit of the original, Jack set out to explore a more rhythm-centric approach, with infectious percussion and a spicy groove, courtesy of drummer Adam Topol's fantastic percussion work. Already well-known for his work with artists such as Jack Johnson, Topol knows what it takes to craft the perfect rhythm section, and his work on this new version of "Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor" is a definite testament to his ability to play for the song. While Jack's version is more expansive, it still retains the soothing intimacy of Mason's original, giving the audience a different perspective on a great track.

"Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor" is a truly perfect example of what he can accomplish, and it feels like an excellent way for the artist to build on his sonic legacy. This release features outstanding production chops and a very notable performance from the artist, who is not afraid to go all in and truly ignite the music with as much energy and emotion as possible. The realness and connection are what make the track all the more special and easy to relate to for people of all backgrounds. Ultimately, this song is a truly stunning example of what it means to create music that feels very catchy and easy to relate to, making the audience feel connected and engaged, but that is also filled with integrity and passion. This release comes highly recommended to fans of artists such as The Lumineers, Francis Moon, Dead Rituals, or Ben Howard, only to mention a few.

I really liked this set, largely because it was the second week in a row that I played over two hours without really falling on back much on what I think of as my "usual" songs. Even the ones I did play, I mixed up a bit ("Note" and "Sunshine" were the fast arrangements instead of the slow arrangements, "Ghosts" and "Fear" segued into other songs, etc.). The highlight for me was this cover of Mason Jennings' "Hospitals and Jails," which is a great song by itself, and this time through served as a sandwich for the "Echo Head Jam," which has become this specific two-chord looper jam that I've been dropping into songs here and there for the last few months.
