I'll say it. Despite the fact that I hate how Fairy Tail is full of fanservice and unnecessary nudity, I appreciate so much that the couples are actually liked. IN A SHONEN. The backstories? The yearning? the profound devotion? Unmatched. Like, they are not called the big four for nothing.

Do I STILL really believe Nalu won’t happen?
Short answer: No.
But you know that's not how we do things here.
It feels so good to be back! (sort of, at least) I know I've been away for some time. Part of it is being busy with things in real life. Part of it is mental health not doing too well. Some of my plans for things have shifted quite a bit, as you might be able to tell.
All that said, this hasn't changed.
I haven't talked about this in the proper context of the sequels. I've taken shots at the ship. But have I given this ship the treatment I'd probably be expected to?
Or, at least, have I explained my reasons for still doubting the ship will happen? Because I don't have to like that a ship is happening to believe it will happen.
Speaking of which, what better place to start with than talking about that other ship I rag on a lot: Gruvia. I've said this a few times, but I don't like Mashima's writing of Gruvia in the sequel. To be brief, the ship's focus is different from what I believe it should be. And having Juvia as an active series member has long since passed the point of straining reality.
At the same time, no one denies that Gray has decided to accept Juvia's feelings. He's come to terms with himself in this regard and will accept Juvia as a lover once the mission ends. (How are we still on the fourth dragon?) It's hard to see something like Gray wishing for an alternate universe where he's married with a kid and ask myself, "How serious is Mashima about this ship happening?" You know, as if it isn't only a matter of time.
The issue is that Nalu isn't on that level. That sounds like me being biased and denying the reality right, especially if I listen to certain people.
But let's compare these two ships and what's happened to them in the sequel.
When the gang visited Fairy Nali, their version of Juvia was the catalyst for Gray being as open with Juvia as he's poised to be. Fairy Nali has its own Nalu, but nothing meaningful came from it. Natsu got jealous because of Lucy, but that's not brought up again and doesn't affect anything.
They go to Edolas and see their alternate-world kids. I'll grant you that Natsu and Gray want to bring their "kids" to the Earthland. But what else happens? I mentioned what goes on with Greige already. Ashley talks with Lucy about the possibility of a future romance with Natsu, but she's not meaningfully moved by it.
Come to think of it, there was a similar conversation to that when they were on the Earth God Dragon. Lucy heard Touka had a romantic interest in Natsu. Her response wasn't one of jealousy. She figured it wouldn't go well once she heard about it. (It's almost as if she knows that Natsu isn't currently interested in a romantic relationship if he ever will be.)
Nothing showed that more than the one moment I've talked about the most from the sequel: Natsu and the women in his heart. The fact that Natsu's bunch of women is canonically juxtaposed with Gray's feelings for Juvia shows that Mashima's taking this ship as a joke.
To be a Nalu shipper, I must believe one of a few realities. It's possible that Natsu does have romantic feelings for all these women and can't decide between them. You know, despite Wendy being in that bunch. It's also possible Mashima, being in tune with fandom, is trying to appease fans of Natsu's most-popular ships, even outside of Nalu. It wasn't as if I expected anything involving Nali in the sequel. My theory, which I alluded to when it happened, is Mashima making a callback to a sketch he made a while back. That would explain why Mira and Cana were there but don't talk. They weren't in that old sketch.
I can't say for sure what this moment is supposed to mean. But I know that this isn't helping Nalu's case as a romantic ship. Not just because it's multiple women. Not just because Gray's only interested in Juvia. Natsu's focus in the matter is that Yakune put his friends against him. Not women he's interested in romantically used to distract him.
By the way, I'm sick of having to say this after eight years of having this blog. But I guess some things never change. Characters being put in awkward potentially sexual positions isn't proof your ship will happen. At best, it's a cheap gag that could reveal characters' feelings through their reactions. At worst, it's one of the most annoying tropes of the medium we love and want to take more seriously. Lucy wanting Natsu to touch her anywhere doesn't hold the kind of weight I'm annoyed to know so many fans want it to have. That doesn't matter how real or fake Lucy or whoever else is.
But what tells me Nalu isn't likely isn't any of that. It's not anything involving Gruvia or chapter 71 of the sequel. I don't think I'd say this a few years ago. But the thing that sells me against Nalu is Jerza. Of course, this isn't to say Jerza happening would jeopardize Nalu. But Jerza has been making strides toward becoming canon.
A few years ago, I concluded that Erza would never willingly leave Fairy Tail, even to be with Jellal. That means the only way Jerza could happen would be if Jellal accepted his actions as being forgiven and was willing to join Erza to some degree. This could be joining Fairy Tail or some sort of mutual partnership outside of it. Mind you, this was for how I was thinking of how to pair them in rewriting the series. (Also, thank "Kidnapping Erza".)
Now, what's happened in the sequel?
Awkward and annoying as it is, Jellal put his past behind him. At this point, it's more a matter of conviction, similar to Gray not using Iced Shell. Erza invited Jellal to join Fairy Tail. He's currently considering the offer and isn't too enthusiastic about it. But if the guild was willing to accept Gajeel destroying the guild and stapling Shadow Gear to a tree, Jellal's not too far from being accepted by the guild. Not because Tower of Heaven isn't objectively worse. Because if the one person in the guild hurt by his actions is willing to accept him, no one else has any reason to reject him. Especially considering she might become the next guild leader if Makarov dies (again).
And all the while, they genuinely get flustered at the idea of being in a relationship with each other. The notion of a Jerza romance is treated as all but a certainty by characters familiar with them multiple times in canon, including the the past few chapters we’ve got from the sequel. As far as I can tell, no one operates under the assumption this ship isn't happening. Nothing has convinced me this shouldn't be the case.
What can I say of Nalu in this regard?
It's one thing if I question whether or not Nalu will happen. I've never seriously liked it and have outright said it won't and shouldn't happen multiple times for multiple reasons. In years past, I probably would point to that and call it a day. But, if there’s any benefit to being away for the past few months, I’ve had time to justify something crazy.
For the past few years, Nalu fans have questioned if the ship will happen. People who like the ship genuinely wonder if Mashima will make the ship happen or if they're right to doubt its prospects. I've seen this all over the internet, not just here on Tumblr. It’s a question people bring up on Reddit. It’s mentioned in places like Youtube and Twitter.
And as much as people will reassure them that it's going to happen, this isn't true of the other ships in the Big 4. As a fandom, we're convinced Jerza will happen. We're convinced Gruvia will happen. No matter how people feel about them, I don't see anywhere near as many people questioning these ships happening as Nalu. Gajevy's already happened, and we know how that's supposed to go.
And, to be honest, this has been amazing to notice. Going from everyone taking Nalu for granted to seeing the whispers of Nalu not being as possible genuinely makes me feel so vindicated. When I made my big post about Nalu years back, I was terrified someone would tell me I was wrong and tear down my post as idiotic. If I were to remake that post now, I'd have so much fewer worries making the post. Even making the sequel to that post after Mashima’s supposed positive comments about Nalu at NYCC was so much easier knowing they weren’t meant to be.
It's almost a shame that I've all but run out of things to say about the ship. At this point, there's not a whole lot else for me to say but "I told you so, idiots" to the people who doubted me and those who agreed with me. It's not unlikely that something new will happen that requires me to talk about Nalu between now and Mashima's final decision on the ship. Something always comes up, be it a moment or something in fandom. Some Nalu fans may reply to my posts, and I'll answer them. But nothing to change how we all view Nalu will likely happen for some time.
Is Nalu possible? Yes, Nalu can still happen as long as Mashima's still writing the series. I don't think that a canonized Nalu will look anywhere near as interesting as the fandom wants to believe it would be. However, it's not as if Nalu is entirely impossible. I said that when I made my first long post about Nalu. (I didn't in the sequel because I figured the series was over.) I said that when we learned Mashima didn't plan the ship originally. I still believe that now, despite everything that I've said.
While nothing is set in stone, I'll enjoy all the salt from the Nalu fandom.

We, as a community, do not talk enough about how Juvia and Bora are exes.
Like HELLO
Mr. Number 1 Opp of episode 1 who actively participated in human trafficking dating the one and only done-dirty-by-Mashima water woman.
Also Bora broke up with HER? Sir?? There is so much to explore there that, like many things, IS NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN -
Okay - so were they childhood friends or was he using her for her looks/powerful magic? Did it start off transactionally or was there some spark there? How long did they date? Did she stay with him because she felt that no one would ever love her, so at least she could be valuable in a different way? Did he make her laugh? Or just put up a facade in front of other people? Was she his backup for a while, a bodyguard adjacent fella for when his schemes went sideways? Is that how they started? What about the end? Sure we see him breaking up with her in canon - but why? You can't tell me he suddenly didn't like the rain of The Rain Woman. I mean he can, he's a prick, but consider the alternative: Did she catch on to his beginnings? Expose one of his scams? Grow critical of whatever shit he was getting into? Did she say something? Did she try to stop him?
The first time we see her she is completely covered head to toe in several layers and the rain does not stop. She says it's never stopped. But damn, doesn't it feel like turned from a drizzle to a downpour after him? I think it's purposeful. The layers are purposeful. The hints are there. She fully expects to be discarded after her fight with Gray. AND seeing how she comes out of her shell in the later arcs - watching her change her hair and her clothes, experimenting with new styles with an almost fervent joy - it just makes me wonder.
Could she not do that before? Was there an expectation there? A controlling factor? How much of her identity was she willing to sacrifice to quiet the fear of being unloved? How hard did the rain fall as it progressed, did it ever waver, or did it only get stronger and stronger.
And Bora? Fucking Bora?
Was it REALLY about the rain, or did she just speak up? Did she intervene and he had enough sense to refrain from trying to harm her. Because if the relationship was built off of him using her for magic and granting her some sense of companionship in return, then he damn well knew that there was no way he, a lil fire mage, could stand up to the actual force of nature that is Juvia. No, that meant he knew EXACTLY how to hurt her without inviting her vengeful side.
So he tells her she's too depressing. He reinforces how unlovable she is. How it's HER fault. How it's always been HER, how he's leaving her because of who she is - how he couldn't change her. He probably throws everything she's quietly confessed to him and leaves - safe from retribution and free to continue his fucking diabolical business. Because he knows he's hurt her worse than anyone else could. He knows that she'll either come running back, or she'll run and run and just keep running.
He doesn't know that Juvia only loved the idea of being loved. Not him. Bora can't imagine anyone not loving him (he can, but he's the one who's running, headfirst into greed with an enchanted ring on his finger - someplace Juvia never would've followed). Juvia doesn't run back to him. She doesn't run at all, the rain pours and she decides: "Fine, if I can't be loved. Let me be feared."
Maybe Phantom Lord orchestrated it, the master seems sort of cartoonishly conniving, and Juvia's magic is insanely powerful - but if that is the case, that doesn't change how easily Bora was bought. It doesn't change how Bora knew just what to say to push her to that point. It honestly doesn't change much of anything.
Bora? Pathetic.
Juvia? We all know she's always been lovesick and maybe if she was allowed a bit more characterization we'd be able to explore why. Maybe we'd talk about why she wore so many layers or kept her hair long. Why she kept a "frilly" pink umbrella but wore all blue. Indulging in a childish side while wearing a face of complete apathy. Why she adores the idea of being loved but can't seem to make it work. Why she's desperate for romance but finds more joy in the friends she makes - it doesn't stop her from chasing "true love" but she finds she doesn't need a lover's touch to chase the rain away anymore.
Because the rain was never about Gray, it was about Juvia. It was about how she was loved - not by others - but by herself.
I could spend eons critiquing how she was written... But for now I'm just gonna sit here and think about the consequences of Juvia dating Bora.
And I'm gonna laugh when Natsu and Lucy own his ass in episode 1. Because they don't even know it yet, but they're avenging a soon-to-be-friend. And honestly, I hope Juvia read about it in a newspaper, the pages soggy under her touch. I hope she sat in a park, the sound of pouring rain drowning out all else, read the headline.
And I hope, that even in that dark moment of her life, when she was the cruelest she would ever be, she read about Bora getting his ass handed to him. And I hope it made her smile.

Middle of the night thoughts: im always going to be a sucker for the "character who seems averse to romance falling first" idea. Which is why I truly think Gajeel catching feelings for Levy first on his path of redemption would've been the superior choice. The idea of a formee villain who is only beginning to properly figure out friendship realizing one of those people he's befriending strikes a cord in a way the others don't.
Now as I was thinking about this, I was struck with the question "do we ever see a man in fairy tail fall first and pursue the romance?" I don't mean something like Lyon where he falls for juvia and nothing blooms between them. I mean genuine reciprocal romance where the guy is the one who has to wait or act first.
Cause I don't know if we ever do. It's common in shoujo for it to happen and honestly when it's done well it sticks in my brain and makes me giddy. But I feel like every fairy tail romance follows the same pattern and it's part of why most couples don't work for me.
Guy and girl meet and start off on rocky terms
Guy proves himself to be a hero by saving the girl and the girl blushes as she thinks he's cool and realizes she might be into him.
Girl gets jealous and indignant when guy is oblivious to her feelings and is friendly at all with other women.
Several scenes with misunderstandings are written in for drama and comedy as we play up how overdramatic a woman can be.
Guy realizes down the line he's into the other woman who becomes much more subdued when romanced.
It's a repetitive pattern. It's really disappointing because Mashima has decent concepts for couples that could be fleshed out in interesting ways if done right. Juvia and Gray could've been a slow burn due to Juvia figuring herself out beyond romance and Gray only falling for her when her true personality shines through without the veneer of romance (fjord and jester from critical role are a great example of this. Though juvia and Gray are not perfect parallels to them.) Gajeel and Levy could've been a slow burn enemies to lovers where Gajeel has to first prove himself as a decent person before Levy even considers a friendship with him and we focus on then finding common ground and working well as a team to build the bond (honestly beauty and the beast would be the best example of things for them, though again not a perfect parallel to my own vision.) Jellal and erza could've focused on the difficulties of forgiveness when the one you care for betrays you and how that can change a bond over time and the difficulties of moving forward from that. It could focus on the complexities of the feelings they have for each other and not just had them immediately fall back into some kind of romance with little to no build up. (I don't have a comparison for this. But these two move way too fast for me to enjoy them in canon)
Mavis and Zeref should've been a full will they won't they that ends with they won't because the circumstances of their lives won't allow it. A continuous dance and bond that would've lent so well to tension in scenes where they interact and tinged their moments with sadness and bittersweet longing.
There are so many ways to flesh out the romances in the series without constantly reusing the same formula with alterations barely made based on the personalities of the women. People who enjoy fairy tail claim romance is the one thing Mashima does well, but as a romance fan I have to say I don't think a single couple in fairy tail was well executed. I do love several of them, but that doesn't mean they were well written.

hi hi! i'm v-mo, the one behind "natsu's smart moments" posts! i've seen some of your posts and i enjoy them!!! and also you liked some of mine, so i wondered, do you have any thoughts on them? maybe there is some things i missed, or you have some advice to me?🥺🥺🥺
i'm just a little anxious about posting in fairy tail fandom, i haven't interacted with it for a very, VERY long time
so, yeah!
hope you have a good morning/day/evening/night!!
Hi!!! Gosh I’m so flattered you’re coming to me for evaluation🥹 Even if I’m 100% sure you’re covering more than I could even think of (I do however find it hilarious that team Natsu is just a herd of sheep that Natsu tries to keep from sacrificing themselves) (laughed very hard at that lol)
Lisanna was supposed to die and not come back, so her being beaten down to the bone is, just as you say, unlikely that she survived without problems. I live her but the animation team was foul for making Mashima brig her back to life
(That’s not about Natsu being smart, I realise, but you’ve covered that so well that I just read and nod along) (and I see now that you mentioned it in the tags😭 sorry I’m not the sharpest knife in the box)
Natsu is a very active person in general, so anything that gets him moving, is stuff that gets his brain into motion too. Fighting someone and using smell, sound, touch, experimenting with eating etherion (crystallised magic) and diving head first into things, gets him going.
A lot of people (me included) take the fact that he isn’t very analytical when it comes to emotions, and grab the “dumb” marker and starts putting it all over him. But even when he isn’t analytical, he still notices and cares for other people’s emotions. The fact that he’s rowdy, easygoing and has a bright demeanour shouldn’t result in getting called emotionally constipated.
He is emotionally constipated, but not for those reasons (his unresolved identity crisis however, howdy!)
Anyways I hope this sufficed as some insight! Natsu is such a complicated character to me bc it’s so hard to clock his intelligence. He CAN be smart and mindful and caring, but it’s like he has a block on himself that catches himself before he confronts his own feelings about it. Classic case of Emotion Bad But Anger Not Emotion ☝🏼🤠

Ice Skating
Fandom : Fairy Tail
Relationship : Gray x Juvia
I got inspired by @creativepromptsforwriting’s January Prompts : Ice Skating.
I’m sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.
Summary : Juvia tied her ice skates and headed for the rink. She had waited until the evening to go there. No one was there and she could skate freely. At least she wanted to learn to skate. No one knew that she did not know skating, especially Gray. She did not want him to know.
Disclaimer : Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima.
@creativepromptfills
AO3 / FF.NET
Juvia tied her ice skates and headed for the rink. The cold had arrived in Magnolia and an outdoor ice rink had been set up in the center of town. All the inhabitants could enjoy it and have fun.
Juvia had waited until the evening to go there. No one was there and she could skate freely. At least she wanted to learn to skate. No one knew that she did not know skating, especially Gray. She did not want him to know.
They had been in a relationship for a few weeks. He was an ice mage and she did not want to disappoint him if he found out she could not skate. So when she saw that an ice rink had opened, she took the opportunity to learn. It should not be that hard, she told herself. After all, she had accomplished things harder than ice skating.
She glided along a few centimeters. She smiled, proud to be able to move forward. Suddenly, she slipped backwards and she fell on her buttocks. She winced in pain. She stood up with difficulty, nearly falling several times. When she regained her balance, she moved forward slowly. She told herself that by moving slowly, she would not fall. But her right leg slipped and she fell on her buttocks again. She stood up, groaning in pain. She would not give up. She had to succeed in skating for Gray-sama.
She did not know how much time had passed since she arrived at the ice rink. All she knew was that the temperature had dropped and she was cold. But she wanted to continue. She still could not stand on her ice skates. She fell several time and she was sure to have bruises all over her body. She fell backwards once again, but she felt someone catch her, putting their arms around her.
“Gray-sama!” She exclaimed, turning her head.
“What are you doing ?”
“No… Nothing.”
She did not want to tell him that she was learning to skate and that she was not good at it. She straightened up and looked at Gray. He wrapped his hands around hers.
“You’re freezing.”
He took off his jacket and put it around Juvia's shoulders. He was only wearing a t-shirt and even if he did not feel the cold, she felt guilty for bothering him.
“Now,” he said, “tell me what you’re doing at the ice rink at this hour.”
“Juvia was learning to skate.”
She had mumbled so quietly that Gray had not understood her.
“What ?”
Juvia sighed. There was no point in hiding it from him anymore.
“Juvia was learning to skate.”
She hid her face in her hands, ashamed.
“Juvia didn’t want to disappoint you.”
He took her hands away from her face.
“Why would you disappoint me ?”
“You're an ice mage and Juvia can’t skate. She tried to learn, but it was a disaster.”
Gray wondered where she got the idea that she would disappoint him if she could not skate. He wanted to reassure her.
“What you do with water is exceptional and I could never swim as well as you. Would you think less of me or that I disappoint you ?”
“Of course not !”
Gray smiled at her and Juvia could not help smiling shyly. She felt stupid for acting like this. Her lack of self-confidence had made her doubt what Gray might think of her.
“I can teach you how to skate,” Gray said.
A huge smile lit up Juvia's face and she nodded. They skated. Juvia was trying to imitate Gray. He had not let go of her hand and she had not fallen once. She had never had so much fun learning something. And it was thanks to Gray.
The end

Lucy Heartfilia and Compassion
So while casually thinking about my favorite anime, Fairy Tail, I realized something. This isn’t abnormal as I tend to notice things every once in a while whether or not they are intentional. This time around I noticed that, considering what she goes through in every single arc (this girl cannot catch a single break), Lucy Heartfilia still retains her compassion and kindness for strangers and enemies.
You could chalk this up to bad writing on Mashima’s part, which I would not complain about. I do adore Mashima’s writing but it isn’t perfect. However, I would like to suggest that it fits well with the themes of Fairy Tail. The importance of friendship and family weigh heavily through the series with the main focus being the Guild Hall and the bond of the people within the guild.
The extent of this theme goes even to the villains, where we see countless times either they care for each other, are neutral but are after a similar objective, or they actively do not work well and are injuring each other. Of course the first and last work the best when in a story such as this but I am getting ahead of myself. To get back on track... Through the entire anime we learn the backstory to each of the main characters and some others a part of Fairy Tail. If we focus on the main five; Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, and Wendy Marvell (sorry Happy and Carla) we can see that each have had personal obstacles that range in emotional impact on their character. Apart from Natsu and Wendy, who have tame back stories (that they remember) compared to the rest, Lucy is definitely the more tame. She was never against some giant demon and was never a slave, both of which ended up hurting and killing others by their actions. Lucy ended up having a peaceful beginning and was a high class girl with a big future ahead of her if all had gone according to plan. Since this is Fairy Tail, and a Shonen manga, nothing comes easy. Her mother died young and thus Lucy was left with an abusive father who and no care for her after her mother’s passing. She had no friends other than the spirits that her mother passed to her when she was on her deathbed. When Lucy was finally able to escape at roughly sixteen, she was able to find Fairy Tail who became her replacement family. In the meantime, Lucy also had been abused in some way in each arc (whether its fighting someone she cares about, sexual harassment and public humiliation, or quite literally being tortured), lost her father that she finally started to build a relationship to once again, lost her doll that was another connection to her mother, lost Aquarius, and even her guild. Yet the biggest thing that sticks with Lucy through all of this is her compassion, the main topic of this post that took oh so long to get to the point of. Lucy still has compassion for enemies and those that hurt her the most. She never has grudges that last long, apart from her father with understandable reasons. However, she even began building that bond again in her last moments and seemed to still have a heart for him. This is shown, of course, when he makes her way to Love & Lucky to protect her father when she believes he is a victim in a hostage situation. This isn’t the case and he is safe, but she still had the heart to put aside her feelings and do what was right. Minerva, who tortured Lucy and put her through immense humiliation and almost killed her if it wasn’t for Chelia and Wendy, was also forgiven by her actions. Lucy passes it as water under a bridge and they were trying to do right for their guild, but this is still a big moment to show Lucy’s kindness. Lucy is shown on more than one occasion to protect the guild, even from the very start, and how big her heart truly is. She could have absorbed it all and became a person similar to her counter in Edolas, but even more cold hearted. She had every right to be angry at Natsu for abandoning her and hardly put any pressure when it was shown she was genuinely upset. She never even let anyone know that Aquarius was gone. In my eyes, Lucy Heartfilia is one of the best characters in Fairy Tail. Once a character seen as purely for sexualization, which still is the case in a few instances, Lucy showcases some of the most important themes of Fairy Tail in her actions and how she continues forward. She is one of the most deserving of the Fairy Tail guild mark. Oh boy that was a long post but I hope I got my point across. As I said in the beginning, I think of these concepts all the time and I am really interested to make more posts about Fair Tail and why it is so great in many aspects. Let me know your opinions and go ahead and post any suggestions for me to cover in the future!
See you later in the Deep End!

Fairy Tail fandom, uuuhhh...i have a question...
Minors dni
Mirajane Strauss fingering Laxus Dreyar aka her husband? 👀
I mean- ummm...just...look at...her... Ain't no fuckin' way she's not fingering Laxus and maybe even fucking him with her strap-on, OR EVEN JUST A MONSTER COCK, THANKS TO GOD AND HIRO MASHIMA FOR TRANSFORMATION MAGIC.
Just give it a thought.

I need someone to understand me, please look at her and tell me if he's not showing his ass for her to fuck him, waiting with embarrassment, and then falling on the sheets totally out of his senses, cus someone is a Beast. And she's giggling behind him, so cute and smiley. Laxus is almost annoyed by how beautiful and angelic she is when just a few minutes ago she fucked his soul out of him with no mercy. Dried him 'till he became nothing else but a slimy mumbling not reacting to anything else mess. And now Laxus is fully covered in scratches, his cum, blood, sweat, and tears, while Mira is clean and looks abso-fuckin-lutely innocent like a goddamn white lamb.
'No-...' he choked on air, trying to catch his breath, laying on the sheets with no strength to even look at something that isn't the ceiling of their bedroom, 'no damn way I'm gonna let you do this ever, Mira, ever again!...'. He's hardly moving his lips and Mirajane on the contrary has all the abilities to clean him with a wet towel she just brought from their bathroom.
She just giggled, making him frown harder.
Laxus finally looked at her, 'Am I stuttering, woman?'. His rough, loud voice urging her to obey rumbled in the room like lightning, but Mirajane Strauss knew her husband perfectly and just wiped the sweat from his face.
'Yeah, yeah, I've heard you...' she said, kissing him on the forehead. 'I will never ask you about it again, mhm? You good?'
'I'm serious,' he repeated, though letting her kiss him all over his face, 'do not even try to remind me about that later.'
'Sure.'
'Mira, I'm serious, don't you dare-'
'I said, sure. Laxus.' he slowly blinked, she stroked his cheek like that huge man, an S-class mage, dragon slayer, was the most defenseless, fragile creature in the world. 'I won't remind you. Okay? No one ever fucked the Great Laxus Dreyar, and because of no one did he cum so loudly that I had to cover his mouth with my hand...'
'Demon!'
His blushed cheeks and ears, his offended look, while he tried to kick her ass out of their bed, and her laughter when she just fought him back, knowing exactly that he would never let her finish or even start something with him that he wouldn't be comfortable with. So they were just rolling over in bed, Mirajane - giggling and trying to dodge his spanks, and Laxus - dying from embarrassment, trying to catch her and scold her, but actually... having a lot of fun with his demonic little wife.
Because, after all, both of them were adults who know exactly what they want and who trust each other completely.
P.S. the day after that.
Laxus, entering the Guild: *obviously limps*
Freed, shocked: MY GOODNESS, LAXUS- What happened???
Evergreen: you fell??
Bickslow: did someone beat you??
Evergreen: no one can beat Laxus!
Bickslow: just askin'...
Freed: quit it, now! Laxus, what happened to you?
Laxus: um-
Mirajane, passing by: good morning!
Laxus: *shudders*
Freed:
Evergreen:
Bickslow: did Mira-san kicked your ass?...
Laxus:
Laxus: something like that.

Juvia Lockser In My Headcanons
In my au, Gruvia, is not, and will never be canon, but they will be friends, not bestfriends.
Juvia does continue to speak in third person, but the whole "Stalker, who respects no boundaries," just goes away.
Juvia is Aro/Ace, like water. Juvia has never really craved romance she just needed love, not romantic but platonic it only really came to her about that when she joined the guild.
You know, Juvia being neglected and alone since childhood and then she sees romantic love in action, it in her point of view is being loved but when it came to that she never had any actual romantic attraction towards her exes, she just felt "loved" but they'd all leave her because of her rain, she only liked looks, the men she's been with were decent looking except Bora, I have no idea how they even met.
Joining Phantom Lord felt no different, she was in a guild but the only people who she really talked to were Sol, or whatever that weird looking man was and 𝐆𝐚𝐣𝐞𝐞𝐥, other than that she kept to herself.
Then in Fairy Tail, she was content with everyone, they still viewed her as a enemy y'know because of her FORMER affiliation with Phantom Lord but she really proves that she'd do anything for the guild, and so y'know Cana spreads the word, people get a bit more comfortable with Juvia and she is happy with that.
Gray was someone that saved her life, and she was thankful because his kindness felt so rare to her, foreign, unlike everyone else who neglected her and would let her drop, he saved her, so she views him as a great person someone she can look up to, Juvia take my advice, don't, you'd be calling out Iced Shell almost every time a week.
Juvia is like the mother of the guild, not really but sort of, she has the motherly energy, the guys keep her away from Loke not because they fear he'd tried to flirt with Juvia, no that's actually why, Juvia is someone who needs to be protected.
I'm not really a fan of Mashima's Juvia and how he views romance, I don't stand for it in any shape or form, and the way he fucks up her character is just bad.
Juvia is apart of Team Shadow Gear
Levy, Jet, Gajeel and Droy are her partners and they get along, she and Droy have nature connected powers and so they like to interact, ofc she and Gajeel are close but she teases him about his crush on Levy, which he'll deny but stop later on, Levy and Juvia talk, a lot, like Juvia and Levy would be in the background questioning Lucy about her and Natsu while Lucy is blushing but telling how she feels about him. Juvia will team up with Lucy or Wendy, sometimes Erza and Gray but with Natsu that is rare, their styles and powers are different, but they work with it but it just doesn't work all the time.
Juvia: I catch them, you hit them.
Natsu: Alright.
Juvia does not get weaker, her love for her guild and previous power make her stronger, and she has a good amount of methods to deal with her enemies, water lock them, use her water body to confused weak minded men, and use water sources to her advantage, she's strong against fire users, not Natsu all that much, but fire users.
Juvia speaks in french when she gets angry.
You know Sol, weird eye glass man? Yeah they still talk. Sol is out and about, traveling and what not, but he teaches her a bit of french and it stays in her memories.
She calls people imbeciles instead of anything else, refuses to, unless she uses some other fancy word.

I’ve been on your for awhile now now and I love your blog your really tainted love to hear your thoughts , theories and ideas and I read that you like Laxana ? Same ! Do you have any theories , HCs etc on them? (Also hope your doing ok and taking it easy especially with work ) 🀄️anon
Hi ❤ thanks so much!
Laxana, Laxus and Cana. I like them cause I explored their relationship in my fics-- of the ‘younger generation’ of FT, they’re the two that have been in the guild the longest. Other than being designated eldest siblings, they also both have crippling daddy issues that they refused to address until it came bursting. Laxus also defeated Cana very one-sidedly in her first S-class exam, which was really early if you look at the timeline.
I like to think they’re not actually very close as in talking to each other and catching up after every mission-- they definitely understand each other, but in a way without words, maybe glances, and they don’t have to spend time together to keep it stable. Of the guild, they’re the most like actual siblings. (Of course, emphasis on ‘like’ and referring to the conceptual and stereotypical dynamics of a sibling relationship, not that they consider each other actual siblings. Please do not start the incest-or-not debate with me I have gone off on one person already.)
They probably genuinely started to grow apart as they grow up, but truly stopped talking to each other after that S-class trial. They don’t tell each other about their troubles with their fathers, and they don’t expect each other to. They don’t hold grudges on each other for it, either.
I like to think that Laxus didn’t visit the guild much when he was still under Ivan’s care, so they didn’t meet for a while. Despite Laxus being acquainted with the guild a little longer, Cana’s almost always there and thus she’s closer with them all. Moreover, Makarov probably set an age limit on joining since they were the first ones, but because of circumstances, Cana ended up joining before Laxus. I’d like to think Laxus was very jealous and Cana held that over his head for a very long time.
Laxus and Cana have matching guild marks. This is not a headcanon this is surprisingly a fact, I think it’s just a coincidence and Mashima didn’t think much of it, but it’s super cute.
I like to think that at first, everyone had a whole screaming-running overreaction every time Laxus and Cana approached the bar. Like, as a running joke for a few months before they messed up and Laxus and Cana ended up dead drunk and in health trouble. Cana didn’t learn her lesson, but Laxus did. I like to think that if not for Mirajane, Laxus would be the first to yank that damn beer mug out of Cana’s hands. But he stopped doing that too, because clearly, Cana needed it. it’s probably also why Laxus started smoking.
Laxus and Cana collectively and internally decided to adopt Gray (kid#3 in FT) when he showed up, because they both realised that the adults are hopeless in this child-rearing thing. Laxus is probably why Gray acts like a ‘cool, moody guy’ and started smoking, and Cana is probably why Gray has better impulse control and manners now compared to before.
When Laxus gets handed a drink at the party and he doesn’t want to drink, Cana stealthily comes by to swap it out with a non-alcohol one. When Cana starts looking really uncomfortable wit Gildarts getting along with the other kids in the guild, Laxus distracts Cana by asking her to fortune-tell something, like the weather, because he wants to go out for a mission and he’d hate to get rained on. They don’t need any words or communication, they just immediately understand and act on it.

Top 7 Things I Enjoyed in 2024: Introduction
Well, this has been quite a year.
With EZ ending during an election year where World War 3 almost started, it's hard to think that this is a normal year. If you're like me, chances are that you probably forgot this was a leap year sometime during fall.
However, this might be the first year since 2020 where things feel like we're past quarantine and pandemic activities. It's cliche, but it feels like nature is healing. We've taken some of the lessons learned from that time, but are returning to what we were used to before COVID.
Barring some cataclysmic event ruining the year for me right as it ends, I feel much better about this year than last year. At the very least, I'm not as depressed as I was this time last year. I even got to see Mashima in person.
I didn't get into as many things as last year. Honestly, I felt more invested in work than in my free time. It took a while to catch up with the shows and media I wanted to get into. Of course, that isn't to say that I enjoyed nothing from this year.
It seems I was right about last year being a unique year. Last year, anything I mentioned could have been number one any other year. This year, each spot feels like it belongs where it is. That makes it easier to think about these rankings as the year goes on.
Also, there's no number 0 this year. I might not see anything that good for some time. Then again, next year seems pretty stacked…
