I have a simple fascination and joy in the thought that, for the Ghost King AU, most of the time Danny is literally so normal compared to other ghosts.

Like, he’s a kid. He looks like a kid. Going by canon appearances, he is the most human looking ghost we see (aside from Ellie). Even Plasmius is more inhuman, which is where all the vampire jokes come from. Every single one of this enemies is off even in a human disguise. They’re not human, and people don’t expect them to be.

So aside from the implications of Danny looking like a child ghost, I wonder what other characters would think if they summon the Ghost King, expecting this huge monstrosity worse than anything they’ve ever seen, and getting a totally normal human-looking kid.

I’d be terrified. Because if horror movies have taught us anything, it’s that the most innocent and normal looking people are the worst monsters you’ve ever seen.

i deeply understand the hilarity in zuko being dumb in fics but when i read fics that are centered around him and iroh they always depict iroh being too wise when iroh being stupid occasionally was literally part of book 1 and 2s comedy. its important to me personally. mind you if zukos head wasnt nearly entirely bald against his will in book 1 then most of it would be grey hairs and it would be all irohs fault. buying random knick knacks off zukos monthly banishment budget when he had mouths to feed. turning the whole ship around for a singular tile off his nonsensical board game (itd been a farse to keep him off the gaangs trail but still.). his funky ass sandals. that ship is too small for him not to be washing his feet. running around hot springs while butt ass naked. flirting with women. making zuko socialize with zhaos bald and ignorant self

and thats not even covering book 2. eating poisonous flowers in the middle of nowhere then nearly dying. ruining the potential of zuko having a situationship with the cool mysterious tall boy with curved swords in ba sing se just to heat up his lame tea. No wonder zuko always lost it with him. i know i wouldve too. occasionally hed play the dumb old man card if it benefit him in some way but im telling u rn the other 85% was him just being stupid. It runs in the family. i wont stand for this erasure

theres multiple reasons i dont like s/urgeamy but one of the things ive seen people do with it that annoys me a bit is the idea that surge and kit are going to become good because surge is gonna fall in love with amy and thats gonna be her only motivation to change.. and im sorry but am i the only one who thinks it would suck so bad for such fun antagonists to instantly switch sides just because one of them was "fixed" by romance and no other reason

i know that a majority of the characters in aftg with visible scars and injuries don’t necessarily have permanent or chronic injuries but it’s a nice change of pace to see fan art depict injuries and scars across the board. comics really shy away from characters being visibly hurt for longer than the story “requires” or showing past physical trauma outside of one off moments and it’s especially wild that characters so reliant on physical fitness aren’t regularly depicted with tools to aid in the upkeep of that. both in canon and in fanon??? for something with a plot as outlandish as cape comics it’s so refreshing to see scars and kt tape and braces be a mainstay in aftg fanwork. love u recovery devices. love u body maintenance tools. love u sports medicine

idk just gets on my nerves and feels like a slight against obi-wan who yeah wasn't perfect and the circumstances for becoming anakin's master weren't ideal but i think he was a great master and this idea also makes palpatine seem far less manipulative, cunning, and evil

the man once said he would gladly make vader again given the chance, even knowing how it would eventually end, so he's not stopping just because anakin has a different master

Consider a multiverse fic in which canon! Q and Bond find themselves in our universe.  I normally don’t like this trope because it almost always ends up feeling too gimmicky, but James Bond is such a cultural institution with an equal amount of cultural baggage that you can just about pull it off I think.  And the angst potential is exquisite.

Above and beyond the getting yanked bit, they can tell something is wrong in this new place the moment Bond uses his classic intro—”the name is Bond, James Bond”—and gets a hearty chuckle and a ‘good impression daniel craig lookalike’ in return.

(Bond could actually sense it a little earlier when Q saw him and pulled him into a bruising hug as if he’d seen a ghost. ‘What year is it for you?’ Q asked and looked puzzled for the briefest moment when Bond said 2019 though he quickly replied it was the same for him too and he had no idea where this 3 year gap came from, where in this new place it’s 2022.)

And this new place is full of ghosts—Eva Green looks exactly like Vesper, Judi Dench exactly like M and DCraig and Ben Whishaw, all of them actors, exactly like the two of them and so on.

Still, when they get DVDs of the films, they expect them to be wildly inaccurate—isn’t that always the case with movies based on ‘real stories’?—even though they hope they might contain some clue as to how the hell they get back home.  

Except they start CR and according to Bond, every single detail spot on from the make of the car he drove to what he wore—

I just think you can do so much with taking someone as private and cagey as Bond and turning his life (his grief) into mass entertainment, you know, and how dehumanising and bewildering it must be for them both to find out your life is a story as far as a whole universe is concerned with narrative choices and plot points, and them finding out that Bond is this symbol of ultimate masculinity to so many men.  

And it would also offer this intrusive but super interesting window into the bits of each other’s lives they were never a part of (Q suggesting they don’t have to watch CR when he realises what’s going on and what’s coming or at least that he doesn’t have to be there only for Bond to make it a point of pride and doom them both) and it would also be a tale of grief—not only for people Bond lost along the way but for Q too; Q who very much so is from 2022.

I just think of them reading the commentary from the cast and producers around NTTD alone, that the best ending for Bond was for him to die for the people he loves the most, that Madeleine was the love of his life etc. and I break my own heart, man.

Honestly he didn't really want to deal with this right now. So after a moment, he sighed once again. "I'll make this easy for you... are you here for business or is this a recreational visit. Obsessed with the new idea for Levi.

After killing Raphael in the House of Hope he:

1) Eats Raphael's heart

2) Takes out his eyes. Replaces his blind right eye with Raphael's and hides the left one in a little magically enchanted box.

This will: change Levi even more than he is already changed and will give him a weird dive into Raphael's memories, i.e. seeing everything the eye he uses has seen. Also he can use the other eye as a spying device, a scrying eye of his own invention.
