　個人によって創られた映像作品はストーリーが無いものもあり、一見すると内容が難解と思われがちですが、その可能性は無限であり、次々と新たなイメージが産み出されています。しかし残念ながら、そのジャンルを越えたバリエーションに触れる機会は、多いとは言えません。私たちは、確実に増殖する個人映像作品を上映し記録することで、個人映画公開の機会をさらに増やしていきたいと考えています。 VIDEO PARTYは京都を中心に、所属、立場、ジャンルを越えた、ドラマ、アニメーション、実験映像からドキュメンタリーまで内容も様々な、個人で作られた映像を発表する場として企画され、2013年より公募作品の上映活動をしています。

　また、2014年より海外映像祭や教育機関、上映団体等と連携し作品の交換上映も進めています。2016年は���湾、韓国、マカオ、中国、札幌での上映をし、VIDEO PARTYの参加作品を各地で紹介しています。 　個人の眼差しによって紡がれる映像の行く末と更なる可能性を探る〈場〉へのご参加をお待ちしております。 2019年は7月27日(土)〜28日(日)８月3日(土)〜４日(日)の4日間、京都のLumen galleryにて開催します。

Announcement for VIDEO PARTY in KYOTO 2019 There are many video works created by various independent artists these days, many of which seem to have no storylines and contents hard to comprehend. But the potential of this media is limitless and there are many fresh imageries being created continuously. Unfortunately, we do not have enough occasions in which we can come in contact with borderless variations of the genre. It is for this reason we assemble this VIDEO PARTY, where we can screen and make records of these ever-growing works of independent artists, as well as to simply increase the opportunity for Indies video works to be seen. Based in Kyoto, the VIDEO PARTY has been organized for independent artists to exhibit their works, regardless of their nationality, affiliation, standpoint and genre - ranging from drama, animation, experimental and documentary - and has been screening publicly offered works, since 2013. For this year, the PARTY will be held in July (provisional), at the “Lumen Gallery”, a video-specialized gallery established in Kyoto. We have also started the work exchange program since 2014, in cooperation with several overseas film festivals, educational establishments and Indies film screening organizations. In 2016, we had successful screenings in Taiwan, South Korea and Macau and China, to introduce participating works of the VIDEO PARTY. We plan to expand the interaction and create more opportunities to screen in more locations this year. We anticipate your joining to this opportunity of witnessing the future and exploring the potentials of video works, woven by various independent artists. Hence, we would like to invite everybody to subscribe your works. This year's event will be held at Lumen gallery in Kyoto on July 27 (Sat)-28 (Sun) and August 3 (Sat)-4 (Sun) for 4days.

Zhanjia - got smacked. Why? He’s so nice and gentle with people, he even complimented her skin!.....but then he was too blunt and said she’s far too pale and peeling for a ghost her age so SMACKED. Poor bby was too shocked and speechless to even comprehend what just happened to him! 

Alastair - got smacked. He’s a smooth talker through and through, but he over-honeyed his words and Eliza saw through his sugar-coated “sweet nothings.” thus he got SMACKED. Not gonna lie, he was VERY angry, but had to hold himself back, a gentlemen should never hurt a lady!

Masami - actually did get smacked. Initially, he manged to woo her with his gentle, princely charm, but when she started singing, he didn’t know the lyrics, messed up annnnnd SMACKED. Also, Zhanji and Alastair had to hold him back from hurting her and especially with his image as an idol, something as bad as that would turn into a scandal. Can’t have that!

Kingsley - S M A C K E D. A major flirt just like Cater and over exaggerated his compliments and flattery, which Eliza caught on and knew he wasn’t serious through his confession of love. S M A A A A A C K E D. Boy didn’t even object, he knew it was gonna happen either way.

Anyu - bear in mind that Anyu is one of Leona’s many rivals so of course she laughed her ass off when she heard Leona got smacked. In fact she was impressed, to have the balls to do such a thing! Leona Kingscholar, the second prince of the Afterglow Savannah AND the only dorm leader at Savanaclaw? GOT SMACKED? HAH! However, when she found the reason behind it, she was a little peeved; at least warn him next time! On the other hand, when she heard that Jack AND Zhanjia got smacked, like Vidya(Phoenix-Manga/Phnxart), it would take all of Dragonstone(Phoenix-Manga/Phnxart) and even Savanaclaw to hold her back from fighting. No one is allowed to hurt her baby brother and her precious bodyguard! plus, Eliza is of royal status, should word go out that Jinshe’s Princess fought with the royal deceased, she wouldn’t hear the end of it

Pearl - girl felt it and girl GASPED. If she was there, no doubt would she try to comfort Floyd and Jade relentlessly and Azul especially because of his past; he’s gone through so much! Although, if she found out why they got smacked, she’d understand, but that still doesn’t excuse the physical harm! Would she fight her? No, but if they were underwater then maybe juuust MAYBE....

Clarice - felt bad when Deuce got smacked, he was doing his best! Although, she was not surprised when Cater got smacked, he was a player from the start, but when she found out Trey got smacked, girl also gasped. How dare Eliza hurt her crush best friend?! THE ABSOLUTE NERVE. In fact, she too wanted to tear her down, but she knew she is of royal status, it wouldn’t be proper! She would definitely tend to all three of them, all fussy, angry, and pouty.

Vil Schoenheit 

The Gretchen Wieners to Vil’s Regina George

Colleague and childhood friend. He loathes him, he loves him. It’s a complicated friendship, but Vil's stubborn and hard working attitude does help in warming up to Rolo.

They often fight a lot because they have different opinions and attitudes. Vil, who constantly keeps himself looking as ethereal as possible, tends to push or complain whenever Rolo doesn’t do his beauty routine. Rolo, who’s naturally handsome, doesn’t need to put on makeup, do his hair, moisturize his skin, etc. 

To this day, they still fight like an old married couple, but they get along regardless.

Rook Hunt

The vice spilled his heart over his magenta eyes and Rolo was not having any of it. 

In general, Rolo thinks he’s a little creepy, but he doesn’t hate him. He likes that he appreciates beauty and how strong he is in terms of magic, but he doesn’t like how he observes people like he’s in the wild.

Slowly warmed up to him over the past years, and enjoys his company from time to time.

Overall, he still his distance from him, but will get defensive he tries to be invasive.

Epel Felmier

Epel thought he was like Vil, but after he got to know him better, it’s like has an older brother

Both share their disdain and Rolo relates to him the most. He doesn’t seem as uptight as the rest and he can actually stand his ground. 

He also likes to pick and carve apples with him. 

Other students

Leona Kingscholar

Gets along quite well for their more lax personalities and their disdain for pompous students; he even hangs out with him and Ruggie sometimes.

Vil gets irked whenever he sees them together and would go as far as getting Rook to drag Rolo away, much to Rolo’s dismay.

One time, Rolo came back to the Pomefiore dorm after hanging out with Leona at Savanaclaw, then Vil and without any form of hesitation whatsoever, sprayed him down with cologne. Rolo didn’t speak to him for three whole days.

Masami Mei

Gets dragged around by Masami, but never manhandled. He constantly gets hugged from behind or somewhat tackled, although he acts like he hates it, he feels a sense of warmth. Afterall, if he really hated it, he'd give the idol a black eye. 

However, they tend to push others' buttons and are constantly at each other’s throats when it escalates. Rolo himself knows Masami’s secrets enough to even poke at his insecurities whenever Masami tickets him off.

Renee Gwyneira

met at the first DCA school festival and also met her through Vil. He likes her company because she’s quiet and genuinely kind. Oftentimes he likes to tease her and oftentimes he flirts with her.

The funny part is that Renee mistakes his flirting and teasing as being nice. 

Calls her an array of affectionate names like darling, honey, etc. Some people actually mistook them for a couple. 

Anyu Zhang

They have their own budding language, smart-mouthing each other as if it was a contest! Although they get along, they like to tease each other just as much. 

They don’t have much rivalry going on either,  but for some reason they can’t see eye to eye...
