Marx wakes up in the morning and gets up from bed. He gets ready and puts on his squad robe. He is in the grey deer magic knight squad and Julius is his captain. Marx cares about his captain, and he seems accepting, but Marx is always a bit nervous around Julius. (this is platonic dw) He had a secret that he was scared to tell anybody in his squad or anybody at all. Marx is a trans man. He always manages to hide it well, wearing a binder and making himself pass as a boy as much as he can. He also manages to hide his legal name, and his squadmates all call him by his preferred name. He also makes sure to make sure his voice passes as well. He always stresses about passing and making sure people won’t notice anything. Marx was always worried about transphobia if they found out he was trans. He can’t tell if they were supportive or not, and he’s afraid of asking them because they might suspect he’s trans. But today was the day Marx planned on coming out to captain Julius. He’s more nervous than ever today because of that. He was especially worried because he’s his captain and he has power over his squadmates. Marx timidly knocked on the door to Julius’s room.

“Come in,” Julius said calmly as Marx creaks open the door and walks into the room.

“Is there something you need, Marx?” Julius asks with a reassuring smile, still sitting at his desk. Marx almost was scared to speak, but Julius was patient with him.

“I… I have… something to tell you, sir…” He said, feeling like he’ll have a panic attack at any point now. He was fidgeting with his hands, and Julius could tell he seemed nervous about something.

“Yes, Marx?” Julius patiently asks, making sure he doesn’t get more panicky. He can tell Marx is scared to tell him.

“You can tell me anything, I won’t get mad…” he says, still having that comforting smile on his face. Marx still trembled before finally telling him.

“I-I’m trans,” Marx finally says, his face flushed. Julius’s eyes widened with surprise at the statement.

“I’ve been hiding the fact that I was born female this whole time… I’m sorry, captain, I’ll leave now…” Marx tears up, turning around and trying to walk out, scared of what Julius is going to say to him. All his life, he’s dealt with transphobia and awful people who won’t accept the fact that he’s a man. He was about to open the door and walk out when he feels a gentle but strong hand on his arm.

“Marx… you don’t have to apologize, I understand… I accept you for who you are, the fact your gender doesn’t fit your body doesn’t change the fact that you’re a part of the Grey Deer…” Julius sighs, taking his hand off of Marx’s arm.

“You dont have to be scared of me or this squad. We all accept you, and I want to protect you. I’ll get you anything you need to help you transition and be happy,” Julius said, placing his hand on Marx’s shoulder comfortingly. Marx tried to hold back his tears, but he was already going to cry. He was so happy his captain accepted him for who he is. Julius lightly chuckles as Marx begins to cry with happiness. Marx turns around to face Julius before reaching his arms out to him. He hugs Marx comfortingly and pats him on the back as he sobs.

“Shh… I’m here for you, Marx… I support you.”
