Everyone who has ever, even slightly, been Robin
*In official, DC-endorsed media
Total: 100 (i think)
FYI:
my definition of a ‘Robin’ is extremely vague. For example, I’m counting Lois Lane because she went to a costume party as Robin, and I’m also counting ‘Boy’ from Batman: the Return of Bruce Wayne because he had the domino mask paint and was clearly a stand-in for Robin. Et cetera.
They’re organized chronologically by their first appearance as Robin
Also this is heavily dependent on DC Fandom Wiki, so please let me know if I missed anyone or if anything is inaccurate
KEY
Red = actually Robin for a significant portion of time (more than a few in-universe days & more than one issue/episode/movie/etc)
Italics = was never Robin in main continuity (i.e. Earth Two [before Earth One existed], Earth One, New Earth, and Prime Earth)
Bold = I actually acknowledge them as Robin in my heart

March 1985. Whatever else one may say about the Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was a triumph for truth in advertising: Worlds lived, worlds died, and the DC Universe was never the same. A cynic might add, "And nothing ever made sense again," since the event kicked off almost 40 years of retcons, revisions, and successive reboots, which DC used to internally describe as "white events," after the cataclysmic moment in CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #10 where the original multiverse was shattered and recreated:
Even before the Crisis event was ever conceived, DC had a long history of fairly dramatic editorial and creative shifts, some of which hung on specific story events (like the de-powering of Wonder Woman in 1968) and some of which did not (like the inauguration of Batman's "New Look" in 1964). With the benefit of hindsight, it's possible to make some general observations about editorial revisionism and efforts to tear down and rebuild internal continuity:
It's ultimately easier (and more effective) to ignore than to change. When Julius Schwartz became Batman editor in 1964, he dispensed with many characters and concepts that had been staples under his predecessor, Jack Schiff, such as Batwoman and Bat-Mite. With one exception, there was no story explanation of where they'd gone — they just stopped showing up and were soon forgotten. The exception was Alfred the butler, who was killed off dramatically in DETECTIVE COMICS #328. When the producers of the 1966 Batman TV show decided to incorporate Alfred into that series, Schwartz was obliged to resurrect him, in a singularly preposterous way, after which he was regarded as indispensable. By contrast, while most of the characters who'd simply been ignored also returned, it was much later and generally in quite minor ways; their long absence reduced them to marginalia that could be incorporated or not, as seemed most useful.
Crossovers are the most serious and persistent enemy of change. The nature of company-owned comics is that the characters will inevitably show up in crossovers, team-ups, and events of various kinds, often written, drawn, and edited by people who aren't familiar with the finer points of the characters' history, inevitably resulting in troublesome contradictions, up to and including characters who were previously supposed to be dead inexplicably popping up alive. The more convoluted a change to a character or their history, the more likely that it will misrepresented, accidentally undone, or just ignored the next time the character shows up in a series other than their own.
A true line-wide reboot is commercially infeasible. A publisher like DC or Marvel has many different titles at once, and at any given time, some of them are selling better than others. If a title isn't selling well, there may be nothing to lose by rebooting it or making drastic changes to its characters and direction, but doing that to a series that's currently a hot seller is foolhardy. So, the bestsellers will generally stroll through a "white event" with only minor cosmetic adjustments, while weaker titles may undergo a whole series of radical reinventions. If the former bestseller goes into a slump and one of those radical reinventions transforms an underdog into a hit, the situation will be reversed. Surely this won't backfire later …
Timing is everything. A lot of the confusion that resulted at DC in the wake of the Crisis stemmed from the fact that different revisions happened at different times. For instance, the headaches surrounding Hawkman began in large part because of the editorial decision in 1990 not to treat the Tim Truman HAWKWORLD series as a kind of "Hawkman: Year One" (which is how it was conceived), but rather as a reboot, even though that threatened to retroactively remove the Hawks from books like JUSTICE LEAGUE, which had become very popular following its most recent revamp. This kind of thing creates situations where creative teams have to come up with desperate contrivances to explain retroactive changes to very recent stories. Having Hawkman and Hawkwoman stop showing for Justice League adventures for a while wouldn't have been a big deal, but trying to assert that the Hawkman and Hawkwoman who'd previously appeared were either never really there or were actually somebody else was another matter, and the problems this created were never fully resolved.
Continuity-tidying for its own sake is almost always a creative dead end. This is a lesson that Nelson Bridwell and Roy Thomas demonstrated over and over throughout the Bronze Age: It's one thing to have some flashbacks, if it serves the story, or maybe to retell a character's origin with a few nips and tucks, but if your main purpose is to explain, e.g., why Namor once wore the wrong shorts, the results are likely to be either silly or tedious. This hasn't stopped DC and Marvel from wasting a lot of ink and paper on specials and miniseries that exist to retell earlier stories in an updated, continuity-compliant manner, usually to no good end. The fundamental problem with such things is that their main object is to regurgitate familiar older stories (if they weren't familiar, there would be no point in retelling them) while urging readers who have read the original version (who are the most likely audience) to ignore their lying eyes. This is, with very, very few exceptions, a dismal exercise that routinely defeats even usually reliable creators like John Ostrander (see for example the tiresome 2001–2002 JLA: INCARNATIONS), and frequently results in yet more contradictions to explain or ignore.
The bottom line is that while you can blow things up all you want, the likelihood that they can be reassembled in a clearer, more cohesive way is really quite low, and diminishes the more frequently you try.
I want to be clear here that this isn't a criticism of the CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS series (which has many virtues, along with some significant flaws), or even any of the individual revisions and retcons that have followed, some of which are, in their own right, perfectly fine. The dilemma is that the project that an event like this represents is ultimately a doomed one. It might spark some commercial interest, at least briefly (which is of course at least half the point), but simplification and unity are just not in the cards and probably never will be.
#comics#crisis on infinite earths#marv wolfman#george pérez#jerry ordway#retcons#retroactive continuity#hawkworld (both the truman mini and the ostrander ongoing)#is actually quite good and its troublesome continuity impact#would have been almost entirely avoidable#just as the continuity headaches with wonder woman and donna troy#could have been avoided by treating the first year of the relaunched wonder woman series#as taking place “a few years ago”

I love Sentinels of the Multiverse. For those unaware, it is a cooperative card game where you play as a team of heroes against a villain who "pilots themself". It's set in the fictional comic universe (as in comics are fictional, and the existence of these comics is also largely fictional, you know, a meta fiction scenario) of Sentinel Comics which comes complete with all the comic book tropes and story lines you can find in Marvel and DC. They have amazing character concepts, each with their unique approach to playing the game. I love everything about it. They ended with a major multiverse threatening story line before calling that the end of the card game. Then, a few years back they announced that they would be re-releasing the game with some streamlined rules and updated illustrations. Okay, cool. I can get behind that. The first set released, not significantly different than how the original game played, but there are a few less ambiguities. That's always nice. Then they announced the first expansion for the definitive edition. This time with a new hero and new villains. I wasn't thrilled that they were adding new content when there was no indication this would be anything but a remaster of the original game, but it was also exciting that we would be getting new content for a game that I believed had ended. So a bit of a wash on that one and the excitement for new stuff won out for me. Now we are in the waiting phase of the second expansion. This one also brings with it a new hero (hero pair to be precise) and new villains. There was something that seemed off to me during the fundraising campaign and then as time went and I couldn't shake that feeling I kept looking at the card and art previews they had given us. That's when it struck me. What was bothering me was in the art. The game has art that pays homage to the general style of comics through time, but what I would describe as the "modern comic" art is where I continue to dwell and think about it. That particular style of art is doing what I can only describe as "homogenizing".
There are two particular characters where this really stands out to me. The first of which is Parse. Here is what she looked like in the original printing of the game.
I like her design, I think she looks super cool! Then in her alt art you can see she's a bit on the fatter side (by comic standards anyway, she realistically just has human proportions there). That's cool to see in a riff on the comic genre. Take some things that aren't seen as much and bring them front and center! I love that. Then there is her new art for the definitive edition.
I feel like her costume really just became "skintight female hero outfit". I think it really detracts from the character of her original costume. I also think she looks on the skinnier side, but the same could be said of her first art from the original game. Then there is the villain character, Apostate.
He's grizzled, he's buff. He looks like you're in for a bad time fighting him. Then updated:
What happened to his wrinkles? What happened to his extreme widows peak? The defining features of his face are gone and replaced with a younger, prettier man. This somehow makes him less sexy. My understanding is it's to display he's more about scheming than kicking your ass directly, but I also can't over the look he's giving the viewer. Now he looks like you would have a bad time fighting off the invitations to the bedroom he's trying to get you into.
These are just the examples that irk me the most. There seems to be a general trend in the game's art that leans into these young, pretty, triangular sexless men and these skin-tight suited, buxom, skinny ladies. It's homogenizing to the worst form of comic art. A style I would describe as "Liefeld-esque" It bugs me that all the character in the designs is being taken out and replaced with such generic "comic art". Anyway, just keep thinking about that and wanted to send it to the void.

So last night I watched Everything, Everywhere, All At Once (and if you haven’t seen it/heard of it it’s about this Chinese woman who basically gets recruited to fight of an evil version of her daughter by tapping into different timelines of herself via an earpiece and very weird actions. It’s hilarious and very strange at times. Beware the hot dog fingers…)
And my brain went “Desmond Desmond Desmond Desmond Desmond-“ so. I guess I’m writing this? Any “different timeline” ideas, oh great alchemist of stories?
Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is such a wonderful movie. If you guys haven’t seen it, please check it out if you can. It’s a multiverse movie that stands on its own with a touching story at the center of it.
Well… you’ve come to the right place because I made this badly edited poster last year which is actually all Desmond from his canon appearances + a few concept art + Desmond the Dog and Desmond the Drone.
Also, here’s my ‘pitch’ of how Desmond is the ultimate isekai protagonist and we have enough fodder just to freaking make a multiverse of Desmonds getting thrown into any other series/franchise/story out there.
But if you want something concrete…
Let’s make it easy for ourselves.
We’ll start with why Desmond starts hopping thru the multiverse and we’ll keep the reason consistent for each idea so we can focus on the multiverses themselves:
We can have our canon Desmond get thrown into the different universes as the Reader and the Heir informed him that he has to touch at least one Apple all over these multiverses to connect them to one another, creating a connection with one another that would finally destroy the Calculation that keeps adding a node that would create a catastrophe no matter how many times it was thwarted.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about the multiverses:
Idea 1
Now, for the multiverses, (shameless plug) this story’s Desmond could be thrown into the branches of the Yew Branches series. Perhaps this is the final story (it’s not, I’m just throwing ideas) and we’ll add in not just the branch that I’ve written in AO3 but the branches that you guys sent and we talked about here in Tumblr as well. So we’ll have Desmond have to get the help of these Desmonds with their ‘colorful’ history like being Kadar Al-Sayf, being the son of a pirate (who may or may not be related to the Kenway family), being the aunt of an Assassin who was supposed to be the most frightening Assassin hunter in Templar history or the son of the one who 'created' sadomasochism and… his own son? Wait. He has a son???
Idea 2
Another idea is that the multiverses Desmond gets thrown into are pure chaos, no rhyme or reason. Simply Desmond’s being transmigrated or isekai(ed) to other series/franchise/story. We can make this contained to simply other Ubisoft games/franchises but why would you want to do that? The sky’s the limit! Hell, if you can’t choose, how about make it a challenge like “the multiverses that appears in this story is a combination of the last games you played, series/movies you watched and books you’ve read. Pick 10 from them or something” XD. Of course, we’ll have a universe that’s ProtoCreed as well as an Infamous x AC one because those two are the main Desmond crossover stories (with AlexDes and DelDes thrown into the mix if you want). But there’s also Desmond in DC or Marvel (and canon!Desmond knowing them as comic books while those Desmonds may or may not know that). We’ll also add Desmond in Pokemon and it’s up to you if he’s a trainer or if he’s actually Sylveon. Hell, have a Desmond in Overcooked and Desmond as an Amongus in that as well because the main point is to make Desmond suffer (affectionately) XD
Idea 3
Now, for a more ‘serious’ idea, this would be more contained as well. The multiverses are possible Calculations of Desmond’s life. So we would have the following:
The Desmond who didn’t leave the Farm and became an Assassin (who will always be never enough for his father no matter how hard he tries) – may or may not appear like a distorted image of Altaïr himself
The Desmond who learned of Elijah’s existence and became a good father to him
The Desmond who was found by Abstergo and thought of Warren Vidic as his father figure, becoming a Templar out of his own ‘free will’ and leading the Templar to victory, making the 'Eye' project a success
The Desmond who let the world burn and rebuilds it from its ashes, tired and guilt-ridden while pretending to be the god that the people worship
And we can add more Desmonds from there. Desmonds who didn’t become bartenders, instead having another profession (maybe even famous by his own right), maybe even a Desmond who decided to use what he learned from the Farm to become a world-renowned thief… Hell, we can even add in Desmond who was born a woman in the mix in this one if you want.
If you really, really want this to be a chaotic mess…
Roll up all three ideas and just… mix them all together XD
#ever desmond everywhere all at once#I think I can repost the poster since I made it anyway XD#dear god#how am I even going to tag this?#eh#ask and answer#assassin's creed#desmond miles#teecup writes/has a plot#fic idea: assassin's creed#that challenge though#i mean...#i could?#maybe?#lollol

Judging Spider-Man fans from their profile pictures
ditko peter - you know a lot of obscure spider-man lore, but you’re probably only interested in 616 peter. you aren’t caught up on anything spider-verse related, but by god are you going to reblog any cool looking panels
romita spidey - you’re either the nicest person in the world or the toxic spider-man fan twitter warned us about. you love seeing peter happy, but at the same time you kind of just want to squish him with the nearest blunt object.
ultimate spider-man - you only reference the ultimate universe, but can’t stand the ultimate spider-man show. you reblog, retweet, and repost any spider-man content you come across, more so than you actually post yourself
any spider-verse pic - you’re either standing neck-deep in spider-man lore or have never picked up a comic, no in-between. either way, you’re totally into picking your own canon rather than following the set multiverse
“pinterest profile” spidey - low exposure, lower pixel count. you’re much more of a casual fan and are too attached to your pfp to let it go (we’ve all been there). you’re probably a lurker rather than a poster, but you have the best tags when you reblog
superior spider-man - everywhere you go you see superior spidey references, even when you aren’t looking for them. you’ll interact with just about any spider-man media, but at the end of the day it all leads back to your blorbo
ben reilly - you like ben, so chances are you also like Mayday. You keep a numbered list of your favorite spider-man suits and have probably dabbled in every marvel moblie game thats ever dropped
kaine parker - i bet you’re a big fan of tom hardy’s venom and jason todd too, huh? you keep telling yourself you wont waste time reading comics without kaine in them, but your mutuals posting about them keeps drawing you in anyways
symbiote suit - you suggest spider-man 3 and kraven’s last hunt to everyone youre able to. you probably watch that one specific genre of edits thats filled with flashes and that super aggressive font.
mcfarlane spidey - you love wordy comics and switch pretty often between marvel and dc (specifically batman). you really like tiktok slideshows that show you the entire comic, but you also really like those family guy/random video combos too
#based off of interactions ive had on twitter tiktok and tumblr with other sm fans#comics#marvel#peter parker#spider-man#kaine parker#ben reilly#itsv#superior spider-man

(New) Canon Asexual Poll Lineup
Hello folks, new host here taking over to get this tournament on the road. I can't edit the older posts, so here's a reminder/update on the current lineup. I've personally decided to break up characters from the same series which is a slight difference from the previous lineup. Hopefully it makes for a more rounded out lineup!
Nominations are closed. Each approved character now has a live interest poll post linked to their name to determine seeding. There are 2 answers, one for liking the character (+1 point towards seeding), and one for liking them & finding their asexual rep in canon significant (+2 points towards seeding). These posts will also be used for collecting propaganda for each character.
Approved Nominated Characters:
Lilith Clawthrone from The Owl House
SpongeBob SquarePants (aro/ace)
Todd Chavez from Bojack Horseman (allo/ace)
Maya from Borderlands
Jughead Jones from Archie Comics (non-SAM asexual, aro/ace)
Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb
The Professor from Gilligan's Island
Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls (aro/ace)
Luffy from One Piece
Peridot from Steven Universe (aro/ace)
Kale Romero (aro/ace) from Monster Prom
Coach (allo/ace) from Monster Prom
Jonathan Sims from The Magnus Archives (bi/ace)
Anthony Drake/Argent Adept from Sentinels of the Multiverse (aro/ace)
Jody Marsh/Runner Four from Zombies, Run! (non-SAM(?) asexual)
Sakuko from Koisenu Futari (aro/ace)
Takahashi from Koisenu Futari (aro/ace)
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Poole/Gwenpool from Marvel Comics (aro/ace)
Connor Hawke/Green Arrow from DC Comics (allo(?)/ace)
Bizu from Bizu (aro/ace)
Dr. Sally Grissom from ARS Paradoxica
Sir Fitzroy Maplecourt from The Adventure Zone: Graduation (allo(?)/ace)
Mordecai Heller from Lackadaisy (acespec)
Count Orlo from The Great
Caduceus Clay from Critical Roll
Isaac Henderson from Heartstopper (aro/ace)
Isaac M Rydle from Val and Isaac (aro/ace)
Twitch "Lore" Woodwind from Val and Isaac (aro/ace)
Diane/Artemis from Lumberjanes (allo/ace)
Ca$h Piggott from Heartbreak High (allo/ace)
Nellie from Rain (homoromantic/ace)
Alex from AJ & Magnus
Mousefur from Warrior Cats
Disqualified Characters
Mishandled by creators:
Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. The writers see his asexuality as a problem he needs to fix.
Alastor from that one hotel show. He's an aro/ace serial killer, and when his creator heard about how a-spec fans were upset about people erasing his orientations to ship and sexualize him she encouraged it.
Lack of evidence:
Odo from Star Trek. (All I found when I looked for proof was headcanons. Disqualified because he's canonically shown sexual attraction.)
Carpenter Glass from The Silt Verses ("Up for interpretation" usually means that they don't want to shut down headcanons but don't intend to write the character that way intentionally or follow through on it)
Klaus from Spy Classroom (he is canonically aromantic, but I could find no canon proof that he is asexual as well)
Patty O'Connor from Kevin Can F**k Himself (writers leave her sexuality ambiguous on purpose as the story is written as her figuring out her identity without ever having her land on what it is)

The Beyonder's Guide to the Thiccverse Beyond- SBS Edition- Ramona Flowers: Multiversal Delivery Girl
by Slyboyseth You really gotta wonder how much money the people delivering packages make. Especially when those deliveries involve traveling through the multiverse. But while that somewhat pays the bills for one Ramona Flowers in Thiccverse-SBS, that's probably not the real issue for her. Especially with the people she meets and her own problems still on her mind. Yet again, this entry was 'beta-read' by one Akito the Boxer. Words: 6824, Chapters: 1/1, Language: English Series: Part 8 of The Beyonder's Guide to the Thiccverse Beyond- SBS Edition Fandoms: Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (Cartoon 2023), Scott Pilgrim - All Media Types, LEGO Monkie Kid, Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, DC Animated Universe (Timmverse), Batman: The Animated Series, Big Hero 6 (2014), Big Hero 6: The Series (Cartoon), Rick and Morty, Thiccverse Beyond Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Categories: Gen Characters: The Beyonder (Marvel), Ramona Flowers, Long Xiaojiao | Mei, Mandy (Billy & Mandy), Harleen Quinzel, Cass Hamada, Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty) Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Crossover, Multiple Crossovers, Suggestive Themes, Mild Language via https://ift.tt/cnLvPNE

Good evening, Ja-lin! Can i confide something?
On my profile exploria88, i start to write AU fanfic on Sin With Me akin to what if? of marvels comics and the elseworlds, tales from dark multiverse etc... from DC comics.
Suddenly peoples start to follow like they're starving of Lovestruck fanfiction. I'm both surprised and happy by it but at same time i hope to not let down the new fan.
PS: Still working on Night of Sin: Pride epilogue? So i can enjoy the end of your awesome work and see if Vinca is alive and safe in this AU too🥲😁. Have a nice day.
Hi, Night of Sin: Pride epilogue was completed some weeks ago. (Though, I'll be going back to modify/add writing, edit coding, and drawings for prologue > ep1, ep2 when I have time.)
I also updated the engine to RenPy8, so the browser version works on Chrome now. Check under the pinned post or visit nightofsin.itch.io to play the game.
I've been playing my own game everyday and I'm very happy with it, but I do want to go back and fix the earlier episodes. I really enjoy making my own visual novel fanfic games, then playing them after. Seeing the characters I drew and wrote dialogue for come to life is just amazing.
I get too lazy to tag posts most of the time, a part of me also loves that my blog is my own personal space. So sometimes I don't tag because I don't want the post to show up in search. But, I welcome friends, followers, and whoever stumbles upon my blog to indulge in what content I have.

Hello! If you’ve gotten this far I’ve already introduced myself but, im KentMenu. Ive been rping since 2016; first on Amino, then on Discord, then on Reddit, then on Tumblr. Point being I can adapt pretty well.
Id prefer to rp on Discord, I find it to have the least amount of problems. Generally speaking I use oc’s, though very occasionally I will play oc against a cc if that seems interesting. I will match my partner’s length for responses, but prefer Semi-Lit to Literate third person.
In terms of genres I am always interested in: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Urban Fantasy, Superhero’s, Historical, Time Travel.
In terms of fandoms I am always interested in: MHA, Marvel/DC, Witcher, ATLA, PacRim
