To add to the Deadpool/Wolverine gay subtext discourse, I feel the need to mention that, when Deadpool was searching for alternate universe Wolverines, he’s doing one of three things:

A. meeting him in seedy bars

B. Meeting him in dark alleys or places where Wolverine and him are alone together

C. That weird crucifixion one that was more fucked up then anything else

Basically most of these feel like Deadpool trying to proposition Wolverine, like pointing out how attractive he is (even short Wolverine got more of an adorable reaction than an explicitly cruel one), and getting an agitated reaction each time until he eventually finds one whose nonhostile enough to not hurt him.

TLDR: Deadpool searches the multiverse to ask Wolverine on a date and gets violently rejected each time for being annoying until he meets one who matches his freak
