I have to admit that The Fantastic 4 is the only MCU project I have any modicum of excitement for at this point. It helps that, beyond the great casting of the team & the possibility of a new live action Silver Surfer, the amazing Michael Giacchino theme from the First Steps preview has both a melody that matches the syllables of the team’s name & a choir that literally chants out “Fantastic Four!” towards the songs end. Equal parts epic & stirring but with the exact right amount of Superhero comic cheese.

Movie Review: Madame Web (2024)
You know what? Madame Web isn’t all that bad. I didn’t watch it when it came out in theaters because I’d heard bad things. I didn’t bother watching it when it first came out on streaming because I’d heard bad things, watched negative reviews on YouTube, and heard that those characters won’t be coming back so why bother watching it. Well, I was bored tonight so I thought I’d watch it on Netflix.…

In case anyone doesn’t know why Channing Tatum randomly showed up in “Deadpool & Wolverine” as Gambit:
Way back when the Fox X-Men universe was still in full swing, Tatum signed on to play Gambit in a movie. I believe he signed on after Gambit appeared in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. The project was stuck in development hell, then cancelled. So this was Ryan Reynolds’ tribute to the cancelled project and why Gambit believed he was born in the Void.

Watching these as a child started my love for marvel all the way back in 2002/2003 😭💀 (idk why my mom let me watch these at such a young age but I continue to watch these religiously)

Insisting that there's only one good MCU film can be a much more effective way of winding up MCU fans than insisting that they all suck, but you've gotta pick the right one. If you claim Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the only good MCU film, they'll probably just be like "I disagree, but I can understand how you'd feel that way"; if you insist with a straight face that Thor: The Dark World is the only good MCU film you can get them to write entire essays about how wrong you are.

people seriously pretending EEAAO is overrated suddenly bc it swept awards? it swept awards largely because it is very very very good. I cried like someone who's just had a religious revelation BOTH times I watched it bc it touched something raw and real and beautiful but it was also just very, very funny. everyone's performance kills and the concept is creative and interesting and doesn't distract from the emotional core. you guys are just contrarian.
