The Tyrant Skies by David Annandale, last instalment of the Marvel Untold Doom trilogy coming on 25th March (or 17th in the US).

Now, these books are really good and I'm really hyped to see Doom pitched up against the Red Skull again... but, the cover is just so disappointing 😢

We have two awesome villains with extremely cool designs who really don't like each other. We have a gipsy who has been victim of ferocious suppressions vs the epithome of Nazism! Of all the cool things and symbols you could have put on there, why the two of them just looking at each other?!

That's not even a threatening look, they're just staring at each other. Why not a big swastika above Doom castle? Now that would have been menacing!

It was the publisher, right? That looks like a work you do just because they asked you to do it that way but you really don't want to, 'cause you know it's ugly! 😅

I’m late to the party but Marvel has announced a new novel starring only sorceresses, and Clea as the leader!

“Late this year, enter the Dark Dimension to defeat a supernatural tyrant with four extraordinary sorceresses in Sisters of Sorcery by Marsheila Rockwell from Marvel and Aconyte Books."

The story will take place in the Dark Dimension and Umar will be the antagonist. The book will be available on September 6, 2022.

“In Sisters of Sorcery, deep in the Dark Dimension, the tyrant Umar the Unrelenting craves the Power Cosmic to expand her realm into new dimensions. When she kidnaps the cosmic being Ardina to make a grim battery of her powers, she draws the attention of Clea, her estranged daughter and mighty user of the mystic arts.

Clea knows her mother will stop at nothing to conquer the whole of the Splinter Realms, imperiling all of reality. The sorceresses on the cover are Talisman (Elizabeth Twoyoungman), Agatha Harkness and Margali Szardos.

Talisman appeared in a few Doctor Strange recent runs (v4 and v5 annual), while Agatha has become more popular for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, Margali is a surprise since she’s a very underground character, but had a story with Stephen in Doctor Strange v2 #57-58. She’s uh... a hard character to make an alignment.

On the other hand, Ardina was a being created by Clea after the Defenders stabbed Silver Surfer and took a bit of his essence to create a female counterpart (they were evil back then thanks to Yandroth’s curse).

📚 🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆃🅾🆄🆁 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆 📚 𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗬 by Marsheila Rockwell ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is another dip into the series of Marvel novels from Aconyte Books, and one I enjoyed reading. I must apologise for the late review due to several trips to hospital this week messing with my routine. Thank you to The Book Network for my spot on the tour and for the copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Now, it should be said that I’m not normally drawn by the ’magicky’ side of Marvel despite loving Doctor Strange. Scarlet Witch left me a little deflated so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Then I saw Agatha Harkness (the best part of WandaVision) was in the story so I read on. What I found was a great bond between the principle characters which was refreshing in an otherwise male dominated Marvel universe. Most of the characters were new to me as my knowledge of Marvel is mainly based on the MCU and not the comics, but the clever introductions of each, without information overload, didn’t distract from the plot and skilful storytelling of the author. Overall, I found the story engaging and I read it in one sitting. Marvel Comics and Aconyte Books Announce “Witches Unleashed”

Aconyte Books and Marvel Comics have announced the third prose novel in the  Marvel Untold line. Witches Unleashed, featuring Ghost Rider, is written by Carrie Harris.

Witches Unleashed sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider, trying to capture Lucifer after accidentally releasing the Prince of Darkness from Hell. Johnny will need the help of witches Jennifer Kale, Satana Hellstrom, and Topaz to hunt down the fragments of Lucifer’s soul, one of which is animating the body of Jennifer’s cousin Magda. Meanwhile, Lucifer is searching for the Tome of Zhered-Na, which is protected by the witches. “Now the witches must work together, and with Johnny Blaze, if they’re going to stop him.
