Murph: The garden glows green, then takes on a gel-like consistency, then gets brighter and brighter as Bev’s dad and company are pulled into it. The last thing you see is a face full of green goo as Uncle Duck is swallowed down by the flowerbed and the green knights and the green teens escape to the Feywild! (20)

Promises I have made to the Queen and to the Fae

Cran (Murph): When we traveled through the portal, we landed in the Summer Court. King Lestibourne and Queen Cirilla accepted us with open arms. And in return, we defended their kingdom. (47)

Murph: You see that there are like 20 copies of him, like, trying to write you that letter and say that he was proud of you, and he kept throwing them out.. (14)

Murph: Um, you see the Vizier’s head is severed from his neck and rolls forward. (80)

Martha: It - I - I could tell he was there, but he was different, and I knew he wanted to help me, but there was something cold and distant about him. (70)

Martha: Bev, he - he told me that everything will be alright in the end if you do what needs to be done. (70)

Murph: He just was hard on you because he didn’t want you to make a misstep and die and be another person that he lost. (14)

Bev Senior: Okay, when I was growing up, I had six siblings, and now I got none. So I need you to stick around, kiddo, alright? (13)

A knight is always forged in the crucible of war 

Bev Senior: We had three Toegolds that died in the war against the Giants. We had two Toegolds that died in the war against Asmodeous, and then we had your Uncle Ronald who fell off a dang balloon, okay? And he was goofing around, okay? (13)

And that is what I gave my word to do

Bev Senior: I couldn’t - I couldn't have helped you without - without Akarot, without - without his power. (58) 

So I will fight with all my verdant might

Murph: You see your father has given you a strategy guide on how to beat him. (70)

The blight of night will never dim my light

Murph: This is the same lay on hands that your father would cast on you, like, when you fell off a horse when you were first learning how to ride. Um, this is the lay hands that was used on you when you, um, broke your nose using sparring swords, um, when you were first learning to fight as a Green Teen. This feels more like your father than this monster that is in front of you. (81)

Though the memory of you makes me turn a shade of blue

Bev Senior: You turn around and you face Thiala, the one who took our home from us. Pick a side, Beverly. (80)

A Green Knight has a duty to the Wild

Beverly: I try to reach out to the spores, I try to reach out to the amulet. I just try to reach out to anything that isn’t this, that isn’t this duty, that I’ve always felt deep down. (80)

Bev Senior: I always, I knew I could make the deal 'cause I - I knew you’d stop me. (81)

Murph: Your dad, he retains the parts of his personality that are the worst things about him. Um, and then other than that, he’s just a devil that serves Ilsed. (81)

Green is my blood, I’m sorry my love

Alanis (Murph): I like to let other people make their own decisions, but your dad was insistent that you could stop him and I thought he was right. (83)

Bev Senior: I love you, Bev.

Murph: Your father starts to weep, and you see a vision of an angelic woman with a wimple take him into her arms. (81)

Oh that I could be in love and be good

Moonshine (Emily): And it’s very important to me to get you back to Martha Toegold and keep you in Bev’s life. He just really missed you. (54)

But I made an oath to the fields and the wood

Moonshine: A child has a duty to his father, but a hero has a duty to the world. Now, I’ve got my opinion of what you are, but it’s time for you to decide. (80)

Bev Senior: I knew you'd be able to stop whatever was in your way, even if that was me.  Part of this journey is becoming your own person. As long as you fight for what's right, that's what the light is to you. (93)

And in the dream of death, I’ll dream the life I could have had

Bev Senior: The Dusk Mother sent me to Shadowfell to do penance for selling my soul there for a minute. (93)

Adding Bev to the childhood swap AU, I'm also retroactively adding the Crick Hardwon AU to this universe LOL

AU thoughts under the cut:

Moonshine:

-In the wake of the war and the high elves losing so many of their young people, opportunistic traffickers attempt to steal Crick and Field Elves to "adopt" to the high elves and hoping they'll be too desperate to ask questions

-The traffickers are caught by Lucanus and Erdan coming into Gladehome and they attempt to pass off Moonshine as an orphaned highelf but they recognize that its a scam and kill the traffickers but aren't able to determine the origin of the baby.

-Lucanus takes in Moonshine as his daughter without knowing they're actually blood related

-Moonshine grows up with a love of reading and learning, but doesn't actually thrive academically because she's too creative for the stiff academic curriculum so she feels stifled, because of this + lucanus' still marred reputation she doesn't mesh well with the upper crust high elves and starts to learn about alternative elven societies

-Finds out about Crick rot and once again uses it as a reason to avoid being groomed into a leadership position (Lucanus wanting her to take over as headmaster) And pitches leaving to go find the source of crickrot as a "study abroad experience"

-Class wise i think she would take to Necromancy from erdan but a Fungal flavoured one since she's naturally drawn to studying earthly decay and the life that comes from it

Bev:

-Bev Sr was posted near Irondeep during the war and Martha Toegold came around the time Bev was born so he could meet his son, but then they get attacked (by the chosen maybe?) and Martha and Bev Sr are killed. Eventually, baby Bev is found at the base of the mountain, and they assume he's a dwarf child and he gets sent to the dwarphange.

-He would get made fun of a lot like Hardwon but take the class clown "I'll make them laugh WITH me not AT me" approach and probably become a bard/entertainer and eventually go be a traveling bard

-Close relationship with the Bronzebeard sisters, esp Jaina since she's such an ideal Dwarf even without a beard, they find him charming because he makes them laugh and makes up songs for them.

I'm drawing the rooms in the Stormborn. Here's my headcanons/don't forget to add this to the drawing list.

(Still editing and adding to the list)

- The boobs all have their own rooms on the ship but Moonshines room is the One Big Bed room. Its not One Big Bed though, it's a double at most. Moonshine and Hardwon sleep side by side while Bev top and tails. Balnor will push his chair by the bed and maybe put his feet up on it.

- Moonshines room is closest to the kitchen. Technically isn't even a room, it was used for storage or as a pantry, but she made herself at home there to be close to the kitchen.

- The ship has spores all over but Moonie has shrooms on the walls used as coat hooks and luminous mushrooms and nannerflies giving the room a nice soft glow to her windowless room. Deadeyes hat is hung on the wall and Handy Andy has a little nook on the shelf. Jaina's thank you card is used as a book mark in the few books she has to learn to read or books gifted from Peepaw.

- There are many broken floorboards and holes in the Stormborn Pawpaw and Handy Andy uses as shortcuts. Pawpaw likely has his own little den in the walls or roof where no one can get to (Moonshine understands it's his space, she won't even wildshape there)

-The kitchen is cluttered but never dirty. There's always something slow cooking on the stove, a table and bench to sit at and a wine rack filled with crick water. The crockery is all mismatched, dented and broken. There are many foods and spices jarred, Beverley is usually the one to throw out any foods that have expired in case Moonshine uses them.

- Definitely a small stack of handwritten cookbooks from Martha Toegold. A jar of the collected Werther's stolen from Nana Kindleaf.

- Hardwon doesn't stay in the captains quarters, that was his father's room. He occasionally visits when he's feeling sentimental or to add his own 'trophy' to sit amongst his father's. Or to place a picture of his family by the ones his father had. A sextant sits on the desk, Bev is teaching him how to navigate with it

- Beverley got the biggest room at the back of the ship with a huge pane window. It's extremely organised and clean, with the exception of some of the shrooms Moonshine has spread throughout the ship.

- Hardwon's actual room is close to the helm. It's a chaotic mess but only a little dirty. He has cupboards and drawers half closed stuffed with things from his adventures. Most of his art is hidden around the ship anyone can walk into his stump at the crick, it's too risky. Hand axes used to hang pin things to the wall, drawings, his father's hat, Jessica Simpson posters. A few items he's whittled, night vision goggles, beard oil.

- Hardwon learned a lot of housekeeping from the dwarphanage. He's usually the one keeping the ship clean in his own way. Hanging laundry from the halyard, throwing the trash overboard, letting pawpaw lick the plates before scrubbing them.

- He has a large bed but also a hammock for when Erlin stays (because mama said so). Big ol' bookshelf. Uses jars of whatever he's collecting as bookends: rocks, bugs, teeth. A desk/vanity table with very fancy and well organised stationary, a small pot of gold paint for his feet and letters from Erlin and his mama. A trunk of props used for goofs and pranks and the singing Tuna Balnor gifted him.

- A telescope by the window. Erlin's journal by his bed and their shared journal on his desk. A book of dragon anatomy and graphic scrolls.

- Balnor never spent enough time on the Stormborn to make a room his own and when he got his memories back it felt strange to make somewhere else a home. He's content with keeping his stuff in the bag and sleeping in his chair beside the Boobs

Reborn:

Truly what can one say about Reborn?

It begins, beautifully, with Hardwon getting a real chance to meet Lydia and explain to her what she means to him as a person, even without her direct influence on his life.

We then get the reincarnation. Almost rolling a gnome. Seeing melora again, getting tattooed. "I've been a half elf ever since I met you." The hammer taking hardwon back. The wrestling match. The fact that the audio was nearly lost to the ages, but Emily was able to recover it with a years-old forum post.

Entering Hill Home. Bev stopping to buy a comic about a cleric (Emily's cleric) to give to Erlin. Finding out that Erllin and Egwene have been off on their own adventures with Red and Gunther.

Bev’s devastating truth. Erlin’s natural, yet painful, reaction. Egwene reassuring Bev. Balnor’s reaction, making sure Bev knew this happens to people, and that things can still work out.

Moonshine meeting Lucanus. “Hey mom and dad!” Hardwon tackling Denny. Denny getting polymorphed into a boot because he’s just that weak. The conversation with Meemaw. The actual introduction to Lucanus. “A man who never thought he’d have a child, holding his child.”

Talking to Martha Toegold. The fact that she knows already what happened to Bev IV. Telling Bev about the tree in the back. “A Bestiary of Devils and Archdevils by the paladin Beverly Toegold I”. “Your father has given you an instruction manual on how to beat him”.

Every single goddamn thing in between. Goddamn.

Heart of the World:

The Boobs take the Stormborn to the Court of Gods. They write letters to their loved ones and put them in the contingency cubby.

After a bit of a difficult trek, they happen upon a wall where they can hear the wishes and prayers of the citizens of Bahumia. They offer a “We are here for you” in return, and are rejuvenated by the reaction to their presence.

Once they get close, they call their berserkers. Moonshine turns them into elephants, then summons pixies to make the elephants fly. The Titans of Bahumia fly into battle Thiala on elephants. (Murph is given the chance to leave Emily over any of that bullshit if he so pleases).

The battle with Thiala begins. She brings back Galad. Hardwon does 297 freaking damage in the first turn. 1,082 total by the end of the fight. Moonshine uses cantrips where they count. Bev takes on his own fungal form, and eventually casts a bonus action revivify on Hardwon. Balnor dukes it out with some angels.

They see what the mind of Thiala wants them to experience. I cannot do the flashbacks as much justice as @misslevel , so here are those comments on them from a previous round.

Thiala takes a second form. Uses Alanis and Ulfgar to harness their energy and make things worse. Tries to actually destroy Melora’s heart, holding the world together. Moonshine uses Handy Andy to steal Erlin, he’s freed from the gem, and able to help heal everyone. Bev, Balnor, and Hardwon keep swinging.

Nearing the end and fearing things will get so much worse (Balnor and Hardwon keep going down), Moonshine casts Shapechange and turns into a Gold Dragon. She eats Thiala.

The Titans of Bahumia return their divine heart fragments to Melora, as they were just borrowing it. They give Pelor his heart back, resurrecting him. They save the last one for the Dusk Mother, and give her rule over the one hells, renaming it The Ruby Dawn.

Old Alanis, the traveler, returns, and asks Balnor if he’s ready. He says tearful goodbyes and returns to his timeline, ready to destroy the hounds and save his village. “It’s okay, Balnor. I knew like all the most powerful things in this world, I was only borrowing you.”

We move forward in time. They start finishing off Akarot. Set up the ritual to destroy the Hellfire Crown. Hardwon visits his father in Kord’s Great Hall. Bev and Erlin get to be kids.

A year later, they return to Moonstone for the Jamboreen.

Moonshine reacquaints herself with the dragon she hatched and invites him to live with her at the Crick. Hardwon asks for the same offer, and it is given quickly. They read Balnor’s letter by the fire. Our story then ends where it began, in The Hungry Trout Tavern.

in this universe instead of the Everything happening with the toegolds like in canon bev sr. and martha are just in the midst of the world's strangest divorce which is why their son is just kinda chilling with these two 27 year olds most of the time. bev two miller lites in voice they still love each other. it's just like they forgot how to say it i think. hardwon eight miller lites in voice i bet if i took a running jump out of the eighth story window my quads would absorb the force of the landing and i'd be fine. moonshine on acid and good vibes voice pawpaw young beverly's fingers are NOT food.
