‷ heads up ; if you hear WEAPON by AGAINST THE CURRENT blaring, it’s most likely SKYLER CAMERON making their way down the shore ! they’re 26 years old and celebrate their birthday on 2/12 in numbers - i knew they were an AQUARIUS ! especially since they’re very DETERMINED and RECKLESS. they are from UPPER EAST SIDE, NY, staying in DOWNTOWN and are currently working as a ASPIRING ACTRESS/FASHION INTERN, here at the cape. they always did remind me of crumpled up pieces of torn sketch paper scattered on a hardwood floor ; the desire to go on walks with no real destination ; and the pulsating lights of a club dripping down waves of blonde hair.‷
ABOUT SKYLER: Falling on my face again, so I know I’m right on track.
CHARACTER BASICS
FULL NAME: Skyler Rhodes Cameron
NICKNAME(S): Sky
AGE: Twenty-Six
GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis Woman, She/Her
FACE CLAIM: Sydney Sweeney
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Blonde
HEIGHT: 5′3″
WEIGHT: 110 lbs.
DATE OF BIRTH: February 12th
ZODIAC SIGN: Aquarius
MAJOR: Fashion Design
LANGUAGES SPOKEN: English, French, & Italian
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hufflepuff
OCCUPATION: Intern to a local designer, Aspiring Actress
HOBBIES: Singing, Baking, Shopping, Yoga, Photography, Guitar, Drums, Acting
HOMETOWN: Manhattan, New York (Upper East Side)
RESIDENCE: Downtown
HOUSING: One bedroom Loft
TIME IN TOWN: 1 year
FAMILY
MOTHER: Diana Cameron (née Carmichael)
FATHER: Liam Cameron
SISTER: tbd Cameron
CHARACTER HISTORY
Skyler was born and raised in the Upper East Side of New York with both her parents and sister. Her Mom, a well known face around the world for retiring from the modeling world to style them, met a man traveling the globe as a musician. Liam was nowhere near as successful as his wife, but somehow two opposites managed to maintain a marriage and start a very creative family. The Cameron girls grew up surrounded by music and lavish parties, it wasn’t long until Skyler realized how much she loved to sing. Her sister and father would play instruments and she’d dance around the living room and sing for them, loving that this seemed to turn into a weekly tradition. She fell in love with being in the spotlight, though she quickly stuck to only singing in the shower once she saw how talented her sister was with music as a way to give each of them something to allow them to shine differently but together. As a young girl Skyler would sneak into her mother’s closet when they had a gala or late night function the girl’s weren’t old enough to attend and spend hours staring at the shoes, perfecting the art of walking in heels by the age of 5.The sneaking continued as she’d venture into her mom’s workshop and “borrow” designs off her rack for parties, being sure to put the items back before morning.Skyler was always drawn to fashion, wearing it, creating it…you name it. She was happy to pick up another passion that’d look good on her college applications alongside acting, getting the chance to design costumes for her onstage performances didn’t hurt either. When she was finally able to go to all the events she’d study what everyone was wearing, learning what was popular and using it to start designing her own clothes in secret, not wanting her mother’s influence to smother her.She never thought she was any good, so for a while she stuck to drawing anything she could: fruit, people, nature. anything that didn’t involve clothes, but she always found herself coming back. It wasn’t until she met (wanted muse connection) that he truly got her to start honing her craft and focusing on what mattered to her most.As Skyler entered university at Cornell, she saw herself debating between her desires, seeing as fashion would lead her directly under her mother’s shadow and that’s something she’s still striving to steer far away from. She’s always loved her mother’s designs but knew a developed career would involve Skyler working under her and not getting to experience the real world on her own. The spark for acting came back bigger and stronger than ever, resulting in the blonde signing up for every production Cornell had to offer. Junior year she was offered an opportunity to study abroad in Paris, quickly jumping on that before finding herself romantically connected to a big designer. He went behind her back and stole her designs for himself, publishing them without her consent and leaving the credit she rightfully deserved unmarked. Skyler was devastated, not knowing how to handle the betrayal of someone she put all her trust and ideas in. She used this as her plea to fly back to New York to continue her degree. She was offered an intern position with a local designer in Cape May shortly after she graduated and she’s been here ever since, doing her best to look toward her future rather than the past.
PRESENT DAY UPDATES
If there’s a party you’ll be sure to find her there, especially with a drink in hand.
She only fully trusts one person in her life: her sister.
She’s her sister’s opposite. being very outgoing, playful, and down to try anything once, charming people with a simple smile from across the room.
She’s always felt this bit of responsibility to make her mother proud and constantly feels that pressure which is one of the main reasons she’s questioning what to do with her career.
Where she goes, trouble tends to follow due to the blonde’s overwhelming sense of adventure and curiosity.
She landed her first acting role, a small commercial and wants to do more in this line of work. She’s also been featured a handful of times as an extra.
She’s the type that her family has money but she’s not one to show it off, never making extravagant purchases especially now living on her own.

Elope to Sydney
Elopement: a thrilling and deeply personal way to celebrate love, free from the constraints of traditional weddings. It's the ultimate expression of devotion, where the focus is solely on the couple and their unique journey together. This trend is gaining popularity for its simplicity, intimacy, and the undeniable sense of adventure it brings.
Imagine exchanging vows with the ocean waves as your symphony, or atop a mountain with the sky as your witness. Elopement allows you to choose a location that resonates with your love story, creating an unforgettable experience. Whether you're drawn to a secluded beach, a lush forest, or an urban rooftop, the possibilities are endless.
One of the greatest advantages of eloping is the availability of elopement packages. These thoughtfully curated packages streamline the planning process, making it effortless for couples to arrange their dream wedding. Elopement wedding packages typically include a picturesque venue, a skilled photographer to capture every precious moment, and a dedicated marriage celebrant to officiate the ceremony. These packages are designed to ensure that every detail is taken care of, allowing couples to focus on the joy of their union.
The role of a marriage celebrant in an elopement wedding is crucial. They bring a personal touch to the ceremony, crafting it to reflect the couple's unique bond. A great celebrant will work closely with you to create a meaningful and heartfelt experience, ensuring your vows resonate deeply and the ceremony feels authentically yours.
For those considering an elopement in Sydney, the city offers a plethora of stunning locations. From the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge to the serene Royal Botanic Garden and the secluded beaches of the Northern Beaches, Sydney provides a diverse range of settings for an unforgettable elopement. The city's vibrant atmosphere and natural beauty make it a perfect backdrop for couples looking to tie the knot in a memorable and picturesque setting.
Elopement wedding packages in Sydney often include all the essentials, from securing the ideal location to providing professional photography and celebrant services. These packages can be customized to suit your preferences, whether you envision a minimalist ceremony with just the two of you or a slightly larger gathering with a few close friends and family. The flexibility and personalization offered by elopement packages ensure that your wedding day is exactly what you desire.
Choosing to elope also means you can allocate your budget more creatively. Instead of spending on a large venue, catering for hundreds, and elaborate decorations, you can invest in elements that truly matter to you. Imagine a luxurious stay at a boutique hotel, a gourmet dinner under the stars, or an adventurous post-ceremony activity like hiking, sailing, or exploring the city. This approach allows you to create a wedding day that is not only memorable but also truly reflective of your personality and passions.
In conclusion, an elopement offers a beautiful, intimate, and adventurous alternative to traditional weddings. With the convenience of elopement wedding packages and the expertise of a dedicated marriage celebrant, your day can be everything you've dreamed of and more. Whether you're considering an elopement in Sydney or elsewhere, embrace the spontaneity and intimacy of eloping to create a wedding day that is uniquely yours. Celebrate your love story in a way that feels authentic, personal, and profoundly special. Life since the boys’ high school graduation has been hectic. Bradley, Neilson, and Natalie attended USC and while there Bradley met and fell in love with a co-ed named Sydney James. Harry made it through Princeton and in the meantime shadowed a professional photographer named Matthew Abbott where he met Greta Leoni, a smalltime model who showed up in numerous teen magazines. Kyle ran into Adam’s cousin Zoey while attending NYU, the two rekindled their romance despite Adam’s misgivings. Adam, while living in London met another American student studying abroad, an aspiring photographer named Quinn.

Ann-Marie Calilhanna: Capturing Mardi Gras for 20 Years
Much-loved photographer, Ann-Marie Calilhanna has dedicated over 22 years to documenting the vibrant Sydney LGBTQIA+ community.
The Woman Behind the Camera
Ann-Marie Calilhanna is one of our community’s most accomplished photographers. As a gay woman herself, she has served as an official accredited photographer for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival for more than a decade. Her compelling work is prominently featured in magazines, newspapers, and online, offering a visual narrative of the Sydney community. Ann-Marie has witnessed and photographed some of the biggest milestones our community has seen in the last two decades.
See the exclusive interview with QNews below.
What drew you to photographing queer people and events in the first place?
I love the sense of family. A bond of unspoken connection and the importance of documenting the progression of our fight for equal rights. And the privilege to document our vital history so it’s never lost.
How long have you been taking photos professionally?
I started documenting our community’s history from 2002. I have always been fortunate to be at the forefront photographing many firsts and lasts that will never be forgotten:
a couples first kiss on the dance floor
a rainbow baby’s first drag story time
the first and last marriage equality rally
Not to mention 20 Mardi Gras Parades, Fair Days and parties and still counting! There isn’t much I haven’t seen and some things I can’t unsee!
What is something priceless that you take from your community photography career?
Witnessing our younger generations make the most of those hard-won opportunities by our trail blazers, so they can openly live as their true authentic selves.
Over the years I’ve met incredible friends who have become my family and I feel so fortunate that many of them are the backbone of this community and such a strong foundation in my life.
Who would be your all-time favourite celebrity that you’ve met through your work?
I don’t have just one. But I have met and photographed many celebrities, including Kylie and Danni Minogue, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Cher, Tina Arena, Dawn French, Keanu Reeves, and Kirstin Davis to name a few.
There are heaps more, but I remember a special moment with Kelly Rowland where she actually asked if she could have a photo with me. Wow! I was really taken aback by that! Kelly was so sweet and down to earth towards me.
A lot has changed for the queer community over the last couple of decades. What difference has that made to the photographs you’ve taken?
When I first started out, events were more segregated and more underground. I have seen the progression of equality unfold, now many of our events are held in mainstream spaces and are less binary.
Gay events now will often house people whose gender is less defined in traditional terms and people who maybe don’t identify as queer but as allies, making the events more diverse and larger in scale.

Understanding Sydney's Professional Photography
One of the most rewarding hobbies for making money is photography. Additionally, it is a rewarding hobby that offers a lot of options and diversions. However, if you're just beginning started, it might be a difficult endeavor. Here are some tips and tactics to help you advance your photography!
Why is professional photography important and what is it?
Using cameras, film, and other tools, people can create photographs as part of the art of photography. Professionals in this sector create images that are intended for commercial uses, such as advertisements. They may also work for organizations as illustrators or even take part in medical research projects. Professional photographers include medical practitioners, photojournalists, and other experts.
Factors to think about
For a commercial photography in Sydney, you are in charge of choosing a qualified photographer. The following elements should be taken into account when choosing a professional photographer:
expertise - An expert with years of expertise creating photographic pieces has an advantage over a newbie. You might ask family members and close friends to help you with this component of your portfolio. Location: Make sure the studio or location you have selected for the photographer is where you have carefully planned to hold the session. Photographer's Gear: Look for a photographer with high-end equipment and a friendly manner.
Before hiring, ask these questions
Before selecting a professional photographer, consider asking the following queries: - How much is the shoot expected to cost, and when will the booking be finalized? What kind of gear would you need for the shoot? What location do you want to have the session? What type of illumination are you looking for during the session? Any further unique requirements?
Advice and Methods
Here are some pointers and methods for Sydney professional photography: Always bring a friend with you when you go shooting; this will provide you access to more knowledge about the activity and a possible outlet for changes should the need arise.
Make sure not to use contrasting colors when you are photographing. If your outfit doesn't match the color of the items you're using, they'll look out of place and detract from the scenario you're trying to set.
Bring props that go well with the setting of your photo shoot. For instance, if you are filming a wedding scene, be sure to include symbols of marriage, such as rings or flowers.
Invest on props that may be used in a variety of settings. It's a terrific approach to change up your decor style to utilize a vase for both flower and non-floral décor pieces.
Choose sturdy and robust props because most professional photographers will ask for a replacement if one breaks during the shoot.
If at all possible, always bring a chair to every family meeting. It will not only put you in a better position, but it may also be used as a base for setting up decorations or props.
How to get ready for a shoot with a professional photographer
You must take safeguards before engaging in any headshot photography or professional photography in sydney session. Here are some actions to think about:
Make sure the area where your session will take place is immaculate and devoid of any unpleasant debris, such as dust mites and cobwebs.
Amass a ton of props that will allow you to create a variety of appearances. Bring along items that can be used for any kind of theme so that your photographs have more diversity.
Give people a place to sit so they can quickly access props, lighting setups, or even to lay something flat against a wall.
In order to create a variety of looks, use adaptable props in your photographic session.
If a prop is harmed during a shot, industry experts will insist that it be replaced.
Typical errors to prevent
Here are some typical traps to avoid when photographing for commercial purposes in order to guarantee that your pictures are of the greatest quality:
In a studio, avoid using a flash. Its illumination may result in refractions and give images an odd appearance.
Make sure your props are sturdy; photographers want broken items to be replaced while the session is taking place. Don't skimp on the quality!
Do not compel models to hold a position until they are comfortable doing so. Avoid making them uncomfortable as they adopt a strange stance!
It is essential to make sure that when posing, models and performers stay at ease. Uncomfortable poses could lead to visually off-kilter pictures, which is not what you want!
Conclusion
There is a lot of lucrative earning possibilities in the rapidly expanding industry of photography. There are various ways to become a headshot photography in Sydney; if you follow these guidelines and tricks, you'll soon be making money off of your expertise!

Captured Secrets, Book 1 of the “Seven Tine Ranch Romance Book” series by Carmen Peone is a highly suspenseful contemporary Western that takes place on the Colville Indian Reservation in north central Washington.
Sydney Moomaw bids her parents farewell as they leave on vacation from the Seven Tine, their 210-acre guest ranch. But tragically, on the way to the airport they are involved in a car accident and both her parents are killed. Sydney, divorced after sixteen years of marriage, also makes her home at the guest ranch and is now left in charge. While sorting through ranch records, she discovers that the ranch is in serious debt. When her sister learns of the ranch’s dire financial status, she feels they should sell, but Sydney refuses to let go of the ranch she loves.
A mutual friend brings photographer Trey Hardy to the ranch. Trey is on a working-vacation and sees great photography opportunities in the area. He was raised on an Arizona ranch and sees potential in the Seven Tine, but is especially drawn to Sydney. His offers of assistance are rebuffed; Sydney’s independence and stubbornness won’t allow her to accept his help. Although she is a person of faith, she is overwhelmed with the threat of losing the ranch and all that is dear to her.
Sydney has never recovered from a bad marriage to a mean, violent man. Could the mental, emotional, and physical scars of abuse her ex-husband afflicted ever allow her to heal? Although attracted to Trey, she wouldn’t, couldn’t allow herself to trust him, to open herself up to the possibility of more disappointment and heartache.
Captured Secrets is a highly engrossing novel. It’s a story that is steeped in Native values and faith, yet with incidents that threaten the trust and confidence required by strong belief. It’s about accepting help from those you can trust, and opening your heart to hidden blessings. This is a novel that would be appealing to teens and adults who enjoy western settings and ranch life.

As a young girl Skyler would sneak into her mother’s closet when they had a gala or late night function the girl’s weren’t old enough to attend and spend hours staring at the shoes, perfecting the art of walking in heels by the age of 5. The sneaking continued as she’d venture into her mom’s workshop and “borrow” designs off her rack for parties, being sure to put the items back before morning. Skyler was always drawn to fashion, wearing it, creating it…you name it. She was happy to pick up another passion that’d look good on her college applications alongside acting, getting the chance to design costumes for her onstage performances didn’t hurt either. When she was finally able to go to all the events she’d study what everyone was wearing, learning what was popular and using it to start designing her own clothes in secret, not wanting her mother’s influence to smother her. She never thought she was any good, so for a while she stuck to drawing anything she could: fruit, people, nature. anything that didn’t involve clothes, but she always found herself coming back. It wasn’t until she met (wanted muse connection) that he truly got her to start honing her craft and focusing on what mattered to her most. As Skyler entered university, she saw herself debating between her desires, seeing as fashion would lead her directly under her mother’s shadow and that’s something she’s still striving to steer far away from. She’s always loved her mother’s designs but knew a developed career would involve Skyler working under her and not getting to experience the real world on her own. The spark for acting came back bigger and stronger than ever, resulting in the blonde signing up for every production Golden State had to offer. Skyler never got the chance to focus on her own feelings while tip-toeing around her mother’s, now as she stepped into university life she was left without Diana's constant stare. The further she pushed herself into the world of acting was an opportunity to pull her future back into her own hands. It was going to come down to her decision, right?
THE MICHAEL PART
Michael Michael Michael...where to begin. It wasn't some love story where he swooped her off of her feet. It started with harmless glances, to Skyler turning him down every time he'd attempt to treat her to a night out. Skyler knew was he was all about, watching how everyone would circle around and practically drown him in attention. So why did he need hers? She thought her disinterest would cause him to feel the same way, but she'd always give him credit for being consistent. The blonde gave in eventually, slowly learning there was more beneath the surface of what he allowed the general public to see. Things were good for a while, until his extracurriculars started to take up more of his time than usual, come to find out it wasn't just that getting his attention. She'd hate admitting that she still cared for the guy, even now, even before his passing. Skyler didn't take the news well and she's still coming to terms with him not being around, all while mentally scolding herself for missing a man who ruined their relationship.

Australians celebrate same-sex marriage vote
Celebrations swept across Australia Wednesday as voters emphatically endorsed same-sex marriage after more than a decade of divisive debate, and political leaders immediately began moves to enshrine the historic shift in law by Christmas.
Thousands of marriage equality supporters took to parks and squares across the vast country, hugging, dancing and singing under clouds of glitter when the results of the two-month-long postal survey were announced.
Revelers wrapped in rainbow colors swarmed the entertainment districts of Sydney, Melbourne and other cities, closing streets as the party continued late into the evening.
Almost 62 percent of the 12.7 million people who participated voted "yes" to the question: "Should the law be changed to allow same-sex couples to marry?"
Just 38.4 percent voted "no", according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, which carried out the poll.
Nearly 80 percent of eligible voters took part in the poll, with the "yes" vote winning a majority in all of Australia's states and territories. (AFP
