Opinião:

Já assistir a serie Full House e vemos claramente uma leve diferença entre as series, tanto por questão da época que foi exibido quanto a trama. Antes a serie tratava de três solteirões cuidando das Crianças do Danny Tunner que havia perdido a esposa, a nova traz o mesmo mas com a filha do Danny, DJ Tunner-Fuller cuidando dos filhos com a irmã Steph e a amiga Kimmy, apos perder o marido. Mas sobre tudo a serie traz a nova vida para a casa mais conhecida em São Francisco dos anos 80 e 90. A história feita como Sitcom é bem gostosa e família, claro tendo a mesma pegada da serie anterior. Mas o que podemos esperar ? 

Netflix com esse Spinoff trouxe de volta uma das series que faziam parte da infância de muitas crianças dos 90, claro que ver os novos personagens e o desenvolvimento da trama foi muito bom. Mas ainda sim eu acho que Steve e DJ é passado eu mesmo shipava Dj e Matt. Eles faziam um casal mais bonito, e é claro que o Steve sendo o cara pegajoso e submisso a DJ não faz jus a mulher forte que ela se tornou. E o Matt já é aquele cara mais a cara dela até porque compartilha a mesma paixão que la pela veterinaria. O romance da Steph e do Jimmy para mim é fofo, a maluquinha e o bobalhão. Já a Kimmy e o Fernando é uma coisa bizarra mas que da certo. Traz o alivio cômico completo no casal e nas maluquices, mas que funciona perfeitamente. Fuller House é uma serie ótima bem divertida e gostosa de assistir. Vale a pena conferir.

Third Thursday events and exhibitions for November 21

The next Third Thursday — the monthly evening of art in Athens, Georgia — is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 6 to 9 p.m. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. This month will offer three events in addition to the exhibitions. Two of the venues will be closed.

Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia

Film: “The Road to Palmyra,” 7 p.m. — A documentary in which BBC television presenter Dan Cruickshank and British photojournalist Don McCullin travel to Palmyra to learn about damage inflicted upon the ancient Syrian city. 2018, NR, 59 min. With an introduction and gallery tour of the exhibition “Before the War: Photographs of Syria by Peter Aaron” led by Ashlyn Parker Davis, art history graduate student and Daura Center intern.

Yoga in the Galleries, 6 p.m. — Join us for a yoga class surrounded by works of art in the galleries. Led by instructors from Five Points Yoga, this program is free and open to both beginner and experienced yogis. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; tickets are available at the front desk starting at 5:15 p.m. Yoga mats provided.

“Material Georgia 1733–1900: Two Decades of Scholarship” — This exhibition reviews 20 years of scholarly activity at the Henry D. Green Center for the Study of the Decorative Arts.

“Mary Lee Bendolph: Quilted Memories” — This survey exhibition features three decades’ worth of quilts created by artist Mary Lee Bendolph. 

“Before the War: Photographs of Syria by Peter Aaron” — Peter Aaron’s photographs of Syrian monuments, many of which are now destroyed.

“Storytelling in Renaissance Maiolica” — Colorful tin-glazed earthenware from 16th-century Italy, including two new acquisitions by the museum.

“Drama and Devotion in Baroque Rome” — Paintings on loan from the Museum and Gallery at Bob Jones University that show the influence of Caravaggio, including works by Rubens, Orazio Gentileschi and Simon Vouet.

“Rachel Whiteread” — Five cast-stone sculptures by Rachel Whiteread reinterpret the artist’s earlier resin castings of the space beneath chairs.

Permanent Collection — Thirteen galleries house a large portion of the Georgia Museum of Art’s collection, including many of the 100 American paintings that made up Alfred Heber Holbrook’s founding gift.

“Supple Moments, Dark Corners” at GlassCube — A new installation by Elinor Saragoussi is a peek into the tender parts of the artist’s brain. Often it is an agile, colorful, playful space, but at times, the lights turn off and the spooks come out. This installation combines set design, illustration, sound, movement and lighting to create a uniquely whimsical world.

“Good Vibrations” — Taking a note from the Beach Boys, this show celebrates the end of the summer, easing us on a smooth, harmonious, feel-good transition into fall. Brittainy Lauback photographs cruise life, capturing the seascapes and portraits aboard a Carnival ship. Warren Slater draws from his Australian upbringing and interest in Aboriginal mark-making to create his pulsating pointillist landscapes picturing beaches and surf culture. Hannah Betzel’s vivid abstractions vibrate almost musically, conjuring images of the sea.

 “Building Facades” — In Gallery II, on the second floor, Mike Landers’ solo exhibition of sophisticated, symmetric, minimally composed photographs will take you down memory lane. Images of Barnett’s Newsstand, Helix and the Gap will make you nostalgic for nights wandering downtown Athens of the late 1990s and early 2000s and make you realize how much has changed.

Ok, so here we go it's officially the creepiest day of the year! ​Hey don't get me wrong... I love October, and I like pumpkin spice everything, and the Fall leaves and hayrides etc..... it's just that some of the stuff that goes along with it gets a little icky especially on this day. Though I have to admit.. sometimes good stuff DOES happen just before Halloween... because last night my youngest son Hunter and his wife Katie had a brand spanking new baby girl Blake Ramsey!!! Our new little Scorpio is the younger sister of Charlie Blythe who is the star in all of our newsletters and the one who when asked about what to name the new baby said, "Pineapple".   I couldn't be more thrilled that our little Pineapple has arrived!!  Thankfully, this joyful occasion will really lighten up this time of year for me :)  

But still, for those folks who like to dress up like evil characters, know that often - on some level - they take on those characteristics and when you add drugs and or alcohol, you’re heading for disaster…and that can be really creepy because they could be inviting in spirits that are not of your own choosing so consider that as well.………..ABC Liquors' sign nationwide says, "Beer, Wine and “Spirits” instead of liquor.......just sayin'... So when you watch the video below, we're going to clear out a bunch of terms and word tracks and get the ickyness off of you now. And here's a fun fact..... Sandy pointed out to me when she was uploading the video that it's odd how if you watch the video from the 2:45 mark - it begins to cut out just as I talk about clearing haunted houses - and again at the 4:00 min mark when I talk about being unclear. And oddly the video is jumpy on the screen which it NEVER is.  Folks.....  that's just us clearing all the negative evil energies out & it's even caught on film. New Yorkers head to the polls for a second time this campaign season, thanks to the Empire State’s wacky schedule of separate primaries for its federal and state elections. This Thursday, key New York state offices are on the ballot, featuring a high-wattage Democratic primary for the governorship and an open race for state attorney general.

Democratic races headline Thursday’s primaries. The party — which is one vote shy of a majority in the state Senate — is fighting to take full control in November, and these contests might offer some clues on how likely that is to happen.

Republicans have effectively chosen their nominees for the major statewide races during party conventions in May, so Democrats are left to fight it out. Gov. Andrew Cuomo faces a high-profile primary challenge from actress and education activist Cynthia Nixon. Nixon is running to the left of Cuomo, but so far, she trails far behind the incumbent in the polls.

Things are a bit more interesting in the crowded, surprisingly competitive, and historic state attorney general race. New York’s top law enforcement job became available after former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigned in disgrace in May amid domestic violence allegations. Four Democrats and one Republican are vying for the office, which has attained national prominence due to its more than 100 legal challenges against the Trump administration, in addition to investigations into the Trump Foundation and Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen.

Here’s what you need to know about New York’s September 13 primaries.

Who are the Democrats? Incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo and actress and activist Cynthia Nixon.

Who are the Republicans? Marc Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive and former member of the New York State Assembly.

What’s the story? The Sex and the City star shook up the Democratic gubernatorial race when she decided to mount a progressive challenge against Cuomo. Nixon has attacked Cuomo’s poor management of the city subway system and sought to link the incumbent to corruption in Albany. Nixon has also aligned herself with New York’s rising progressive stars, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Cuomo, a powerful political operator and son of a former governor, seemed nervous enough about Nixon’s candidacy that he scrambled to burnish his progressive credentials. But Cuomo spent most of his campaign trying to change the subject, focusing not so much on his primary opponent, but on his resistance to President Donald Trump. (Trump, naturally, obliged after Cuomo’s America “was never that great” gaffe.)

Cuomo has more than $30 million in his campaign war chest, and he has the edge in the polls. The latest Sienna College poll gives Cuomo a more than 40-point lead over Nixon. And though Cuomo has denied any presidential ambitions, he’s still on the long list of potential 2020 candidates. A 2018 gubernatorial victory will bolster such a bid.

Republicans assume they’ll face Cuomo in November, and they nominated Molinaro during their May 2018 convention. (New York parties nominate candidates during state conventions, but it doesn’t prevent others from running statewide if they garner enough signatures to get on the ballot; Cuomo is the Democrats’ nominee.) Molinaro is running as the sort of moderate Republican who’s in trouble everywhere else in the country. He’s largely avoided the topic of Trump, though he said he didn’t vote for the president. Still, a Republican hasn’t won statewide office in New York since 2002; Molinaro and the party are pinning their hopes on a Nixon upset.

Who are the Democrats? New York City public advocate Letitia “Tish” James; attorney and law professor Zephyr Teachout; Rep. Sean Maloney; and Leecia Eve, a Verizon executive and former Cuomo and Hillary Clinton aide.

Who are the Republicans? Keith Wofford, a partner at the law firm Ropes & Gray.

What’s the story? The shocking resignation of Schneiderman turned the attorney general race into one of the biggest battles in New York politics. Barbara Underwood, who took over for Schneiderman but declined to run for the office, has pressed ahead with lawsuits against the Trump administration, including against the Trump family charity. Taking on the president and fighting corruption in Albany are two issues dominating the race.

Right now, the Democratic race is a total toss-up. James, the city’s African-American public advocate, was the Democratic party’s choice and has been endorsed by Cuomo and other prominent state Democrats. That should have granted James de facto frontrunner status, but it seemed to backfire among progressives, who cast her as part of the state Democratic machine. Instead, Teachout assumed the mantle of left-wing insurgent; the former gubernatorial and congressional candidate is running on her anti-corruption credentials, and she got a boost from a New York Times editorial backing her in the AG race.

Rounding out the field is Leecia Eve, an African-American attorney and Verizon executive who’s worked for Cuomo and Clinton, and Maloney, the openly gay New York congressman, who is also defending his House seat and who’s pulled ahead of James in the latest Sienna College poll, with 25 percent of the vote to James’s 24 percent. Teachout remains in third place with 18 percent, and Eve in last with 3 percent.

So it’s anybody’s race — and whoever wins will make history in November. Underwood became New York’s first woman AG this year after Schneiderman resigned, but no woman has ever been elected to the office. Three are running this time. Teachout is pregnant, and James and Eve would not only be the first women; either would be the first African American to hold the post. That also goes for the Republican candidate, Wofford, who is the first African-American candidate to receive a GOP nomination for state AG. Maloney would be the first openly gay elected statewide official.

Who are the Democrats? Incumbent state Sen. Simcha Felder and attorney Blake Morris.

Who are the Republicans? Felder will be listed on the Republican (and Conservative and Independence) lines in November. Welcome to the oddities of New York politics.

What’s the story? Oh, where to begin? Felder has become Albany’s de facto power broker. He has tormented Democrats since 2012 as a member of the Independent Democratic Conference, a bunch of rogue Democrats who caucused with the GOP, giving Republicans control of the state Senate.

In April, IDC members rejoined mainline Democrats — except for Felder. His decision to stick with Republicans left the Democrats just one vote shy of a majority. Felder says he’s doing right by his constituents; he represents a very gerrymandered district in Brooklyn with a robust Orthodox Jewish community, which leans conservative. Trump won here in 2016 by 8 points.

Felder has never faced a Democratic challenger since his election in 2012 — until now. Morris is running as an actual Democrat and hoping the district has enough progressives who’ll be angry enough to push out Felder.

There’s a catch, though: Even if Morris pulls off the Democratic upset, Felder will likely remain on the ballot in November on the Republican party line. (He won on the Democratic, Republican, and Conservative lines in 2016, and he could do it again in 2018.) Democrats are hopeful that there are enough vulnerable Republicans across the state that they can win the Senate majority outright and that this district won’t be as critical in November. But Democrats wouldn’t mind defeating him in the primary, either.

Who are the Democrats? Incumbent state Sen. Martin Malavé Dilan and community organizer Julia Salazar.

Who are the Republicans? None.

What’s the story? Salazar’s candidacy brought national attention to an otherwise low-risk race; the Brooklyn district that stretches through Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Cypress Hills is pretty much guaranteed to go Democrat. Salazar is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and drew inevitable comparisons to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, another DSA Latina politician. Salazar is also a first-time candidate taking on an entrenched incumbent.

But the glowing coverage of Salazar backfired when her personal biography was called into question. Salazar described herself as coming from a working-class, immigrant family, and she also identified as Jewish. But various publications began digging into her background and found many discrepancies with her narrative, which raised questions about her integrity. (Vox’s Zack Beauchamp wrote extensively about the controversy.)

It got even weirder last week, when the Daily Mail first reported that Salazar had been arrested in 2011 for allegedly committing identity theft against the former wife of Mets star Keith Hernandez. (The tabloid also claimed Salazar had an affair with Hernandez.) The charges were dismissed, and Salazar denied the claims while filing a defamation suit in 2013 over what she called false allegations. Thursday will be a test as to what wins out: Salazar’s progressive message, or the strange controversies brewing around her.

New Trump immigration efforts aim to stop child border crossers

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Many of the immigration initiatives launched by the Trump administration in recent weeks target one kind of migrant: children.

The measures are aimed at expelling young people already in the United States illegally and preventing new ones from crossing into the country.

Some of the policy shifts have generated headlines, including Trump’s decision in September to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA. That measure, put in place by former President Barack Obama in 2012, allowed nearly 800,000 young people brought to the United States illegally as children the ability to live, work and study in the country without fear of deportation.   

Other proposals and actions have received far less attention.

The Trump administration has recently intensified scrutiny of abused and neglected foreign minors applying to stay in the United States. It is seeking to restrict who qualifies for special protections granted to children crossing the border alone. And it is stepping up prosecutions of adults who paid smugglers to bring unaccompanied kids to the United States.

The White House also announced this fall it will end a program allowing Central American minors to apply for U.S. asylum while still living abroad. At the same time, the administration is exploring ways to scrap legal protections that limit how long and under what conditions children can be held in immigration detention centers.

In response to questions about the changes in immigration policy focused on children, the White House said that relevant agencies were reviewing ways to help “law enforcement professionals to do their jobs and keep the country safe.”

Trump came to office promising to crack down on immigration. That message grew stronger this week in the wake of a terrorist attack in New York by a 29-year-old immigrant awarded a green card through a visa lottery program the president has now vowed to end.

Some of his messaging on child immigrants also reflects security concerns. In a speech in Long Island in July, Trump called out “alien minors” as responsible for gang-related killings in the United States. 

“These are animals,” he said of members of the notorious Central American gang MS-13.

In addition, the administration says it wants to prevent children from undertaking perilous journeys to the United States and eliminate fraud from programs for young immigrants.

“The President wants to stop the incentives for vulnerable children to come here illegally,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a speech in Texas in October. In another speech last month, he blamed “dirty immigration lawyers” for encouraging clients to game the process.

Some immigration advocates see the president’s focus on young border crossers differently. Children are perceived sympathetically by the public and have more legal protections than other immigrants, giving authorities less flexibility to deport them, they say.

It is “in the administration’s interest to paint unaccompanied children as gang bangers and not as asylum seekers fleeing violence and abuse,” said American Civil Liberties Union attorney Michael Tan. “The administration wants the public to perceive these children as monsters and not people deserving of refuge.”

‘UNWORKABLE’ DETENTION POLICY

President Trump is not the first president to try to crack down on minors crossing the border illegally. Obama prioritized the removal of young immigrants after the number of unaccompanied minors apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border peaked at more than 68,000 in 2014, most of them from violence-torn Central America.

Trump campaigned on a promise to toughen enforcement further, saying Obama’s policies had failed. After he took office early in 2017, apprehensions of unaccompanied minors dropped sharply, to a low of just over 990 in April from more than 4,400 in January.

But the number of arrests has begun rising again, with nearly 3,000 unaccompanied minors caught in August, according to government data.

One target of the administration is a legal agreement dating back to 1997 that bars the government from holding child immigrants for long periods.

The so-called Flores settlement addressed what advocates said were harsh conditions for kids held in immigration detention facilities. To settle a class-action lawsuit, the government agreed to release minors quickly to adult relatives or licensed childcare programs, or to put them in the “least restrictive” setting possible if other options were not available.

Faced with 2014 surge in illegal crossings, the Obama administration fought broad legal interpretations of the agreement in court to make it easier to detain families. The Trump White House now wants to scrap it altogether.

An internal memo dated Sept. 8 written by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and reviewed by Reuters called the two-decade-old legal agreement “unworkable,” and presented four options to fight or end it. Among them: DHS could ask a federal court to dissolve the Flores deal, a move the memo acknowledged could prove difficult given past rulings that have bolstered the agreement.

A DHS spokesperson said the agency would not comment on “internal working documents.”

‘ABUSE’ OF PROGRAM FOR ABUSED KIDS

The administration is focused not just on stopping illegal border crossings by children but also on limiting their ability to stay once they reach the United States.

One of its targets is SIJS, or special immigrant juvenile status, a program for foreign minors who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.

To qualify, children have to prove their mistreatment in U.S. family court, after which they are protected from deportation and allowed to apply for green cards.

SIJS applications ballooned following the 2014 surge in unaccompanied minors. The program’s numbers hit 19,475 in the 2016 fiscal year, a more than 1,000 percent increase from 1,646 in fiscal year 2010.

The White House and immigration hard-liners in Congress say lawyers have taken advantage of the program by using it for kids who are not in the kind of peril the statute was intended to address. Chief among their complaints is that children abandoned by one parent can apply for SIJS even if another parent is providing adequate care. The administration is already taking steps to limit the program.

Immigration attorneys say government scrutiny of SIJS petitions has increased, slowing the approval process and leaving kids in limbo.

Approvals from April to June totaled 1,862, down more than 50 percent from the previous three-month period, according to data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

USCIS acknowledged that it has stepped up scrutiny of petitions “to ensure that they meet criteria for approval.” But the agency stressed that the majority of applications are still approved.

From January through June of this year 5,671 SIJS petitions were approved while 403 applications were denied. Meanwhile pending applications are ballooning, totaling 22,745 through June, as new petitions grow.

The delays are creating confusion for young immigrants such as 20-year-old Drucilla.

She says her mother neglected her after bringing her to the United States illegally from Jamaica when she was three years old following her father’s murder. Drucilla eventually moved in with an aunt in New York and applied for SIJS last year in order to stay in the country.

Drucilla, who asked only be identified by her first name, said she is nervous about the outcome of her case after U.S. officials recently requested additional documents to substantiate her claims.

“Growing up, nothing was ever in my control,” she said. “I have a lot of anxiety.”

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Many of the immigration initiatives launched by the Trump administration in recent weeks target one kind of migrant: children.

That measure, put in place by former President Barack Obama in 2012, allowed nearly 800,000 young people brought to the United States illegally as children the ability to live, work and study in the country without fear of deportation.   

Other proposals and actions have received far less attention.

The Trump administration has recently intensified scrutiny of abused and neglected foreign minors applying to stay in the United States. It is seeking to restrict who qualifies for special protections granted to children crossing the border alone. And it is stepping up prosecutions of adults who paid smugglers to bring unaccompanied kids to the United States.

The White House also announced this fall it will end a program allowing Central American minors to apply for U.S. asylum while still living abroad. At the same time, the administration is exploring ways to scrap legal protections that limit how long and under what conditions children can be held in immigration detention centers.

In response to questions about the changes in immigration policy focused on children, the White House said that relevant agencies were reviewing ways to help “law enforcement professionals to do their jobs and keep the country safe.”

          Owing from its vast land area, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan Island has much to offer to travelers and tourists. Thank you to its political predecessors and incumbents as they continue to preserve the island’s natural beauty, minimizing negative impact to its surrounding environment and preserving its culture and heritage.

  Learning and understanding first hand from the tourism officers and government officials, cleanliness and discipline are a serious matter, and this practice has been embedded within the society for more than a decade, that two generations are practicing it. It is evident – clean public spaces, wet markets with dry aisles and less repulsive odors, green environment, and fresher air.  Less than an hour before landing on its new stunning international airport, your airplane window view would be filled with nothing but crystal clear bird’s eye view of the island. Fluffy white clouds, not even a small patch grey or dark cloud is present, the details of the islands dotting the surrounding seas, the mountain ranges with rivers that carve their lower portions, the sea that turns to deep blue with alternating reefs of various shape and sizes indicative of rich marine life, city space intertwined with trees – these are the breathtaking views I saw from my Philippine Airlines window seat – without the haze caused by air pollution.

Another amazing fact about Palawan is its strategic location. Distant from active tectonic plates and typhoon belt zone, no active volcanoes, most of the shores are lined with healthy mangrove zones as protection from storm surges – set up is perfect for retirement and businesses. Crime rates are low and the locals are hospitable, courteous and kind. From the bustling city center in Puerto  Princesa, you are just a few hours from its paradise beaches and scenic spots. Who would not like to stay in this strategic place?

Puerto Princesa Underground River Park – going DIY

I was able to return to Puerto Princesa City via a sponsored Media Familiarization Tour sponsored by Philippine Airlines and Local Government Unit of Puerto Princesa City. As a newbie blogger, this is an amazing and unforgettable experience and a first. Imagine traveling this island paradise for free, with the tourism officers and other pertinent government officials with us. Other participants are the cool media people who are so cool and jolly. They are even happy to share their knowledge in basic journalism that we bloggers can apply in writing. How I cannot forget the accommodating and witty team member of Philippine Airlines, Ms. Marla Manundo and Ms. Ella Hernandez, who took the responsibility to look over us and made sure that we are enjoyed and are comfortable throughout the familiarization tour.

  This pristine and lovely island of global fame can be conveniently explored by Northern and Central Luzon folks through direct flights from Clark Airport to Puerto Princesa City via Philippine Airlines.

THE CITY TOUR

PLAZA CUARTEL

This spot comemorates the gruesome scenarios during the Second World War. Noticeable in this park is the Bronze Marker inscribed with the names of soldiers who survived the massacre caused by the Japanese soldiers at that time.

Despite its scary past, the past is decorated with old carriages and flowering plants, many options for your photographs and selfies. The park is under a wide tree canopy and airy since of its proximity to the sea. I saw few locals spending time resting or having quality time with their significant others. During your visit here, do not forget to read the panels and know the history behind this plaza.

  IMMACULATE CONCEPCION CATHEDRAL

The main cathedral in Puerto Princesa City and a hard to miss since of its tall twin towers. It is located right beside the Plaza Cuartel and has a spacious frontyard where locals can relax during late afternoon. There is a Jose Rizal monument adorned with flowers during our visit.

    PALAWAN MUSEUM

Learning more of Palawan’s past, present and future – visiting this museum has made strong my love of the paradise island. At display are various artifacts and remnants of its rich flora and fauna. What made me interested are the olden scripts used by the Palawan locals – they look like the alibata. I tried to practice the characters using my first name – it is hard! The museum is just across Mendoza Park and within downtown area.

    PALAWAN HERITAGE CENTER

Located beside the Capitol Building, you will find the Palawan Heritage Center housing different artifacts and stunning artworks of Palaweños. As you enter its main hall, you would be greeted with this wide colourful backdrop displaying Palawan’s best, hard not to have a photo with this.

Before you start your tour, the accommodating staff would usher to the viewing area where the would play videos about Palawan. You have to option to try the massage chair while watching.

After a couple of videos played, the Provincial Tourism Officer also shared her experiences with the other parts of Palawan like San Vicente and El Nido. After, she ushered the team through the stunning artworks and paintings. Also, another part of the Heritage Center are the artifacts they have found relevant to the history of Palawan. Next on the display are the photographs of the rich diversity of flora and fauna of the island. I really learned a lot with this experience, plus the heartwarming welcome and guided tour provided by the Provincial Tourism Officer herself makes it unforgettable.

  BINUATAN CREATIONS

The busy looms and busy women would welcome you as you visit its main hall. Despite being looking busy, these women would welcome you to try their craft of weaving. It is my first time to really try a weaving loom and excitement really filled me. As I sat on the chair and carefully listened to my instructress, I nervously followed the she does it, seeing and observing it seems easy – but hey, wait until you try it the first time. She thought different techniques of designing and different materials they use. I laud their patience in creating this magnificent raw materials to beautiful and creative masterpieces.

  MITRA’S RANCH

I am excited about this because of the panoramic view its offers to visitors. Once you get out of your vehicle, fresh breeze would welcome you and this calming view would truly indulge your senses. At the main porch of the residential house, you have to take off your foot wear first. There are tables and chairs and snack kiosk should you be hungry.

The ranch is owned the former Senator, and the main structure is preserved. you can take photos inside the picturesque and airy receiving where their plaques are prominently displayed.

  BAKER’s HILL

Aside from its famous oven-fresh baked products, Baker’s Hill is famous for its attractions perfect both for young and young-at-heart. There are many displays that are nice for your photo-ops!

  THE FAMOUS BAYWALK

Best to stroll during sunset, this is where locals catch the sunset and enjoy quality time with their significant others or do their active lifestyle routines. Aside from leisure walks, you can enjoy sumptuous dinner as the lined food kiosks burst to life as the sun starts to sets. This is where you can choose fresh seafood grilled to perfection! There are many food stalls to choose from and certainly have many options to choose from.

Strikingly, the bay walk area is really clean. There are absolutely no trash littered along the aisles and the fresh air is a plus, considering its proximity to downtown. Spending your early hours of the night here is definitely worth it!
