a list of things I really liked about the bear (on first watch)
1. the show begins and ends with the shot of the train passing by. it isn't shown stopping just moving across the screen as if to drive home the transitional journey that S3 depicted between major plot points that can occur in the show
2. carmy actually apologises to richie and says I love you. i wish there was more of the sincere apology
3. tina and richie sharing their parenting experience with nat
4. nat listening to the "types of children alcoholics have" and having it memorised, wanting not to let what is in her head ruin her baby's experience and just her overall sincere efforts to be a good mother
5. sydney being inducted into the family with richie clearly respecting + relying on her during service, marcus and sydney sharing their experiences of losing their mothers, cicero talking to Sydney and visibly realising how important she is to the bear, Sydney and pete together, Sydney and TINA ofc. i just love Sydney being part of the bear family
6. how introspective and creative markus is and him really finding expression through his desserts
7. carmy + luca meeting at chef terry's
8. carmy + chef terry's conversation
9. all those past flashbacks of carmy genuinely being content and at peace while working and learning in restaurants and around chefs who respected him
10. loved to see more of how carmy communicates through non verbal creative expression forms like his beautiful drawings, his silent improvements in the kitchen, his food ofc
11. the split screen scene where Richie is standing in the dining area shrouded in blue light and carmy inside in the kitchen in warmer light was extremely reminiscent of the argument scene they had from S2 when carmy was stuck in the walk in. except in the S2 scene they were actually facing each other actively fighting but in the S3 parallel they have their backs to each other and their lighting has flipped.
12. luca just luca. nerd luca geeking out about dish ideas and getting nervous in front of his idol chef. nostalgic luca. luca + sydney friendship. luca + carmen friendship. just every second he was on screen.
13. adding more character depth to cicero and how he genuinely cares about carmy + nat
14. sydney getting POACHED angst because I love the DRAMAHH
15. the found family of the bear. i love all my chefs so much. they have my entire heart.
16. STRANGE CURRENCIES STILL PLAYING OVER *CONFLICTED* CARMY AND CLAIRE RELATIONSHIP omg that song gives me so much brainrot it's always SO STRATEGICALLY PLACED.
17. the wholesome party at syd's house after funeral in the last ep
18. MORE OF SYD AND HER DAD
19. pete is so cute fr
20. Richie just being such a great dad
21. episode one man. i just really like how it was paced.
22. in true invisible string ass fashion carmy serving his modified blood orange dish to Sydney OBVIOUSLY
23. the chef's at Terry's funeral dinner just talking about how much they love their jobs and their passion for food.
I know I'll notice more things about this season that I'll like and obviously there are things i disliked. but rn I am not focusing on the latter that much. the time will come for it. I've just been waiting for this season for so long. and i really do appreciate it for whatever it was. i love the bear and the people in this show and i love that the show truly is becoming more and more about the BEAR as a WHOLE rather than just carmy. I hope it keeps getting richer and richer.
eagerly awaiting what's next :)

prime numbers for the gif-maker asks? 👀
2. Least favourite set? Oh, I'm sorry but I don't want to answer that 😅 I've deleted any I really don't like, but I will say there's a set that keeps popping up in my notifs where I'm like 'really, that one again???' But that's all I will say. People like what they like.
3. The set with the most notes? This one with 1559 notes. I'm happy with that, it's a good set. The ones with Connor in them tend to do well.
5. Favourite movie/tv show to gif? dbh is my main fandom so yeah, dbh but more specifically, Markus. I just love giffing him, it's almost therapeutic at this stage.
7. Who are my top 3 gifmakers? @thirium @aghostinmyownmachine @mijchi for dbh gifs and also shout out to @babyjapril who is not a dbh giffer but her gifs are always incredible (sorry for the random tag ana).
11. One set I made that just won't die? I legitimately don't know what this means lol
13. Where and/or from whom did you learn to gif? I'm mostly self-taught but I have relied on a few tutorials here and there.
17. How many gifs do you prefer in a set? I guess 2? That's how many I usually make in a set, so that must be my preference. I do like a 4 set too though.
19. What I'd my giffing process like? Very on the fly, lol. I check to see if I have the footage I want, if I don't I screen record the scene I need. I upload that into ps, trim the clip to what I need, change the speed and crop. Then I brighten and colour them to whatever I'm feeling at the time. I always sharpen last. It's what takes the longest and I sometimes have to finick with the settings a bit until it looks nice on tumblr.
23. What's the thing you gif when you don't have anything else to gif? Take a wild guess. It's my boy ofc
29. Have you ever posted a set, realised you made a mistake later but realised it was too late? Oh yes many a time. Usually on sets with text and I made a typo. That's happens pretty often 😅 I usually go back and fix them anyway but then the old versions still get reblogged lol
31. Do you schedule/queue posts or do you post as soon as you're done? I usually post when I'm done. If I'm not really happy with a set, I'll save them to drafts and look at them later. If I decide they're actually OK, I'll post them, if not, I redo them. But I don't schedule posts, I'm too impatient.
37. What sets do you have planned to make in the future? There are a few sets I'm waiting to do when my skills catch up to my visions. But right now? There's a quote gifset I want to make with Markus but it will require time I just don't have right now.
41. Least favourite part of the gifmaking process? Oh my god, uploading to tumblr. I never really know what gifs are going to look good. Sometimes I'll spend ages on a set, upload to tumblr and it look like ass, so I have to redo the whole thing. It's infuriating.
43. Do you keep videos or delete them once you're done giffing? I keep them unless I need the space. I'm pretty lazy like that hahaha
47. Any advice for novice gif makers/people who want to start making gifs? Gif tutorials are your friend. I'm mostly self-taught but whenever I get really stuck, I search for gif tutorials. They are incredibly helpful.
That... was a lot of questions and I had to google prime numbers like a chump because I could only remember prime numbers up to 20 lmao

See, now I'm super confused (and high).
There's this
where some crazy Jennanite stole Natalie's story photo off her 2023 IG in which she wished her eldest kid Mariah a Happy 32nd birthday. Natalie uses Comic Sans in her Stories, and I've seen this capped several times in December 2023 and have seen several 32nd birthday wishes around that time in 2023 like this one
so I've no doubt (or so I thought) of its veracity; her birthday is in December 1991. Mariah Ortega will have turned 33 last month. I'm pretty sure someone's Ortega edit on TikTok made me look into that since they had typed that Mariah was 33. Which to me seemed impossible unless Natalie was a teen mom, which she was if this is true...a Dec 1991 delivery would've made Natalie barely 17 when Ed-going-on-19 got her 🤰🏽. I'd registered this fact, since Aliyah also seems to strongly defend teen mothers whenever such a topic comes up in yap/Lives. The following pic's a little weird...his eldest daughter looks old enough to be his partner, but that is true for a lot of us young Latinos/Latinas with baby faces. And this here isn't even a case of a "baby face" for Edward, if this is 2007 then he's 35 and still young
I'm still feeling gaslit bc Aliyah was the cuter kid.
Yet tonight last night on Live, someone asked Aliyah how old her eldest sibling is and she said 31. (Twice, if I was hearing correctly.) She stated that her oldest sibling/sister was 11 when she was born (putting Mariah's birth year in 1993), which doesn't make any damn sense given her mother's Story.
What is going on here. Is it entirely possible that the girl doesn't know how old her oldest sister is? Or are the fans just mistaken?
Printer ran out of ink by the time it got to Markus 💀
This is what, around 2005 (Aliyah and her brother look to be around a yeah old...and if you notice through these pics, she's that kid, the one who's always frowning and tough to get to smile LOL though she's making up for that on her TT). That eldest doesn't look 12 to me. This TikTokker seems to have gotten it correct, from the OG Mom info/IG Story cap
>_>
#i think we should believe mom's post since uhm natalie should know when she popped out the kid lol#the ortegas#aliyah ortega#said that#mariah ortega#was 31#also#isaac who's your father#lol#the math isn't mathing#the math ain't mathing aliyah#why would you say she's 31#if natalie said 32 last year 😭#jenna ortega#and her fucking weird ass family#mariah and aliyah are cute#no crit here just confusion...fr like who are we supposed to believe natalie or aliyah#aliyah has been known to gaslight but she didn't seem like she was trying to last night nor would there be reason to so...???

Start BATTLE FOR DETROIT: CYBERLIFE TOWER, (wasting around 12 minutes til BATTLE FOR DETROIT: CYBERLIFE TOWER FLOOR -49) count 8 min and start BATTLE FOR DETROIT: DEMONSTRATION ON WOODWARD AVENUE (another 12 minutes til BATTLE FOR DETROIT: BARRICADE - MARKUS) then start BATTLE FOR DETROIT: CONNOR VS CONNOR after around 11 minutes. I mean, the itself game ain't time sensitive here, doesn't work in a realistic way but i guess y'all got what i'm trynna say.

Hi 🩷
19, 31, 64 pls!
Howdy 🤠
oh boy did i start yapping
19. what are some books or authors that influenced your style the most?
definitely agatha christie and other mystery authors. i think between the ages of 11 and 17 it was the only thing i read. and it basically made it so i used murder as a subplot. dodors was the first multichapter fic/work i’ve written where i didn’t kill anybody off, pretty proud of myself for that.
a big influence on how i write settings and visual things is The Book Thief by markus zusak. i read it when i was 14 for school and his descriptions of everything were so vivid, and the comparisons were both mundane and brillant that it fundamentally changed how i view the world. it’s the only book i’ve read so many times the cover is falling apart
and of course, i have to shout out ivy and bean for teaching me to write the most chaotic ass duos ever. i read that series as a kid and man does it fucking slap.
31. tell us about one of your characters who’s an absolute joy to write
i mean, how can i say anything but dodors ellie? she’s so fun, and precious, and just an absolute delight to write. she’s based off a real life kid i babysit, baby blues comics (that’s where i got the snails go crunch from), and stories from when my brother and i were little. writing her feels a lot like a nostalgia. plus she usually just possesses me and does whatever the fuck she wants
64. what is your favourite title for a fic you’ve read?
this is such a good question!
ellie of green gables by @bumblepony cause it makes EGG which i think is hilarious and bumble kindly tolerates
didactic by @penandinkprincess which is a real term used in education, and a method of teaching i already don’t like without everything from the fic ontop
kiss from the lips of monsters by @two-birds-alone-together cause it’s so fucking scary
queer clicker: a pride month crack fic by @adhdprincess it’s so descriptive! you know exactly what you’re getting! and it’s the lesbian clicker!
the transit of venus by @marchflower cause come on, that roman mythology reference is too good to ignore (and also whatever the title of foster baby au is gonna be cause i’m so excited)
