You are like an alchemist, someone who transforms any lesson and any situation into an opportunity for growth and learning. Your adaptability is remarkable, whether it's adapting to the different phases of your life or transforming the world around you. No matter where life takes you, you seize every opportunity to learn, grow, and leave your mark on the world. You carry a reservoir of wisdom with you, and your words leave a lasting impact. Because of your fair nature and your integrity, you can attract many good things into your life. With the wheel of fortune, I do feel like people either love you or they avoid you. You are vocal about your values and beliefs. Your greatest strength lies in your unwavering loyalty to your own principles and moral compass. You speak your truth, you always act with integrity, and you are unstoppable when it comes to issues of fairness and justice. You're a humanitarian at heart, and you are far from a safe place for people who deny a people’s humanity and rights. Your nature comes with significant responsibilities, and people often look to you for emotional labor, which can be draining. Yet, your thoughts and ideas are your pillars of strength. Even if you doubt your ability to meet these expectations, you are more than up to the challenge. Unlike others, you allow your mind to wander and expand. You are open-minded, and this comes with the inherent burden of responsibility. You effortlessly identify moral shortcomings and courageously confront them. While you may feel uneasy about this, it's a source of strength. You are a true advocate for justice, deeply self-reflective, and willing to confront the issues you might be avoiding. You understand that some battles are worth the effort, and you remain an idealist at heart. You find beauty and growth in facing resistance, and your resilience and unwavering hope are your greatest assets. You adapt and persist, always ready to fight for what is right and just. Your loyalty to your values, sense of justice, and morals might unsettle some, occasionally leading to rejection. Nevertheless, you remain true to yourself, embracing growth and understanding.

Song: Naturally - Tinashe
UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTHS
Tarot: 10 of Wands, 4 of Pentacles
Oracle: The Gambler, Raccoon, Trickery
You're a diligent individual, and your core strength lies in your sense of responsibility and unwavering determination. You shoulder your burdens with grace, and it might sometimes give the impression that everything comes easy to you or that your endurance is hereditary. However, your most valuable asset is your brilliant mind, which houses a complex ecosystem of thoughts and ideas. It can be a heavy load to carry at times, but it bears a lot of fruit. Your ability to see tasks through to completion is commendable, and giving up is not in your nature. Your biggest virtues are your reliability and stability. Once you've set a goal, it's nearly impossible to divert you. Anything you consider worthwhile receives your full commitment, and you protect it with unwavering devotion. Taking risks is second nature to you. When you deem something worthwhile, you dive in headfirst. Even in the face of setbacks or failures, you persevere. You don't view these challenges as the end of your journey but rather as valuable lessons that bring you one step closer to your goals. Failure, in your eyes, is an invaluable teacher who reveals what doesn't work, making you even more resilient. Jealousy or envy don't deter you; instead, they inspire you as you can see behind their masks. Rather than fixating on your own limitations, you focus on the potential and the evidence that achieving your goals is possible. If someone else has accomplished it, you believe it's within your reach too. Rather than being paralyzed by greed or jealousy, you let them inspire you to do better. Problem-solving is another of your strengths. Your ingenuity allows you to navigate any obstacle in your path. Nothing is impenetrable to you as you operate with a clear vision and unwavering determination, unimpressed by potential distractions or the opinions of others. Your way of thinking is creative and innovative. You also possess the ability to adapt and pivot when necessary, using your grit to work smarter rather than harder. Your vulnerable and open heart, combined with your self-honesty, are loyal companions on your journey. You consistently maintain authenticity with yourself and those around you, and you possess a discerning eye that can spot deceit from a mile away.

UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTHS
Tarot: The Emperor, 6 of Pentacles
Oracle: The Herald, Giraffe, Balance
You possess a natural gift for leadership, embodying authority and integrity in your actions and words. Your strength derives from your unwavering discipline and proactive, action-oriented approach to life. Your stability and reliability stem from your commitment to your values and morals. You naturally capture other people's attention, and when you enter a room, your presence cannot be unseen. Your strength exudes strength itself, and commanding a room is second nature to you. Generosity is another pillar of your personality. You're a giver at heart, known for your charitable nature. Your deep humanity and boundless empathy are truly admirable. Community holds great importance to you, and you're always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Your unwavering support and generosity are truly commendable, as you focus on giving rather than taking, enriching the lives of those around you. One of your unique abilities is seeing the silver lining in every situation. Regrets become stepping stones to growth, and melancholy transforms into an abundance of hope and idealism. Your "what-ifs" don't hold you back; they serve as inspiration. Your optimistic mindset positions you as your own herald of change. You maintain an idealistic worldview and vision. Personal development is of utmost importance to you, and your ability to turn your focus inward inspires and uplifts those around you on their journeys of self-improvement. Your natural inclination to give and help others is complemented by your self-awareness, which recognizes that you can't pour from an empty cup. Another one of your strengths lies in your internal focus. You don't seek external validation, nor do you indulge in envy or comparisons with others. The only competition you engage in is with your previous self, constantly challenging and focusing on your growth and expansion, all while taking your time and progressing at your own pace. You are a fearless explorer, unafraid to step out of your comfort zone in the pursuit of learning and evolution. You're results-driven, and you hold your values in the highest regard. You embody resilience, courtesy, and unwavering support in your interactions with others. Your approach is consistently marked by humanity, grace, and love, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know you.

I wanted to make a portrait for my latest dnd character, Lemliel “Lemon” Casarai, since she’s a rather noble lady, so I decided to indulge myself and merrily modeled it off of François Boucher’s paintings of Madame de Pompadour.
I’m quite pleased with how it came out, even if I missed the mark on the rococo style!

Reaching this Grand Canyon location requires a rugged 10-mile hike on the Hermit Trail and Boucher Trail, built by "The Hermit" himself — Louis Boucher — in the late 1800s.
📸 by Jake Case - Mountain Tripper
Boucher lived in the Canyon before it became a national park, operating mostly unsuccessful mine claims and eventually leading tourists down his trails as a guide. At this location just past the end of the what we now call the Boucher Trail, he built a small cabin, the ruins of which can still be found to this day. On the topographic map of the area a small mining prospect is marked, which I assume was Boucher's purpose for setting up a camp here.
Regardless of the fascinating bits of history, this slice of Grand Canyon is stunningly beautiful. Marsh Butte towers majestically overhead, Boucher Creek's spring-fed waters bubble through the canyon bottom, and brittlebush bloom on perfect spring days like the one I captured here. If you choose to venture down the Boucher Trail, you'll need to secure an overnight backpacking permit from the Grand Canyon backcountry office. The trail is steep, rocky, and sometimes completely washed out from storms. Self-reliance is a must for modern hikers traversing this remote stretch of Grand Canyon, but well worth a visit for those willing to rough it.

Ron Hextall: 37 wins (1986-87)
Pete Peeters: 29 wins (1979-80)
Sergei Bobrovsky: 28 wins (2010-11)
Antero Niittymaki: 23 wins (2005-06)
Pelle Lindbergh: 23 wins (1982-83)
Samuel Ersson: 21 wins (2023-24)
Brian Boucher: 20 wins (1999-2000)
Following in the footsteps of trailblazing rookies and giants alike, Samuel Ersson is living up to his role in net in a huge way, and a historic one. With today's 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins, he has displaced now-color commentator (and once, #33 for the Philadelphia Flyers) Brian Boucher for the title of 6th all-time wins by a Flyers rookie goalie. Ersson has the third-best GAA on this list, 2.66, preceded only by Boucher (1.91) and Bobrovsky (2.59), and the second-lowest total GA, 104. (Boucher, 65 GA, is first.) And also of note: he is tied for the second-most shutouts on this list, with Boucher again coming in first with 4 shutouts.
It's relevant to note that Boucher in his rookie season was the backup to starter John Vanbiesbrouck, who played 50 games to Boucher's 35. (Ersson has played 42 games this season, and only recently reached 50 total GP in the NHL on March 12, 2024, a 3-2 win against the San Jose Sharks.) The rest of the goaltenders who currently sit above Ersson were all essentially starters, though Niittymaki shared the burden pretty evenly with Robert Esche in the 2005-06 season (46 GP to 40 GP). Peeters and Hextall also took their STACKED Flyers squads to the Stanley Cup Finals (Peeters played with some of the most venerated Flyers of all time – Bobby Clarke, Rick MacLeish, Bill Barber; Hextall played behind a filthy 80s team; Tim Kerr, Mark Howe, Rick Tocchet, and the bruise brothers, Dave Brown and Daryl Stanley. Fun fact: Both goalies played with Brian Propp!) Those Flyers had been to the playoffs every season from 1973-1989. Those Flyers won in '74 and '75.
These 2023-24 Flyers came into the season with low expectations, and three years of missing the playoffs. But behind those low expectations is a team that's apparently capable of beating the best teams in the league. Of the 12 wins over top-10 clubs (BOS, VAN 2x, COL, CAR, DAL, FLA 2x, WPG 2x, EDM, TOR) Ersson was the winning goalie for 8 of those. At times, including March 23 v Boston, the team they beat was #1 in the league.
To reach 4th place in all time Flyers rookie goalies, and not just tie with Niittymaki and Lindbergh, Ersson needs three more wins. The Flyers have 11 games left in the season, and the Gauntlet is almost over, with the most recent three games (against the teams that currently sit 2nd, 6th, and 9th in the league) yielding five points in the standings. The future looks bright.
And tomorrow, Florida.

Memorandum relating to racialized violence at the Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding Company in Mobile, AL, where some Black workers had recently been promoted to welders. May 25, 1943.

SUBJECT: Racial Disturbance - ADDSCO [left side]
Attached are clippings from the afternoon "Mobile Press".
Today, I have had contacts with the following and have obtained what I believe to be reliable information from them.
Lt. Campbell, Naval Intelligence
Arthur Kearney, ADDSCO
Mr. Craven, " [ditto marks below ADDSCO above]
John Boucher, CIO - ADDSCO Union Rep'v.
J. C. Gates, Mgr., USES, Mobile.
Chas Baumhauer, Commissioner, City of Mobile.
Apparently the disturbance came off when the morning shift went on at 7 o'clock. It is said that the first shift of negro welders went on about 11 o'clock last night and were finishing up their work at 7 this morning. The whiteworkers [sic] began to collect in groups and it is said that they first threatened to strike. Later, according to eye witnesses, they began to throw various pieces of steel, etc., at negroes near the work. One white foreman is said to have been injured when he attempted to make the white men desist. Mr. Craven said it was understood that one of the men hit him with a 2x4 rail and knocked him out, also a cut necessitated surgical treatment with a number of stitches for the wound.
One of the negroes who saw the trouble came up and [sic] here and said about five negroes were injured. This seemed to be so, but I was told later that none of the injuries were very serious. Large numbers of both white and negro workers left the yard and came back to the city. A group of about 2 hundred negroes went first to the union headquarters and then were persuaded to go home until better order was secured. The negro who came up to see me said his foreman urged his crew of laborers to leave the yard until order was restored and safety for them assured.
So far as can be ascertained this evening, no further trouble has developed at the yard. However, instructions have been issued for women and children to remain off the streets and for citizens to be conservative in their talk, being careful not to stir up any further racial feeling.

SUBJECT: [blank]
It seems that the better element at the yard took no part in the demonstration this morning, and I heard from Hugh Cornelius, General Superintendent for Doullut & Ewin, General Contractors, who have an office near where the trouble began, that he felt that the attack on the negroes was without any justification whatever and the action of a bunch of hoodlums.
It is hoped that the Management of ADDSCO will restore order and that the Yard will resume operations tomorrow morning.
The United States Employment Service has been cautioned to be particularly careful in handling releases during the next few days so that as little disruption of labor market conditions will result from this unfortunate incident as may be.
Dr. Morley will return to the office tomorrow morning and will, no doubt, keep you advised of any developments.

truth about grimes
You should know I'm the real Çlaire Lightening aka Claire Boucher; Grimes is Mafia impersonating me. It doesn't mean what you heard. It means they're grimey to me. They commit treason in slander&defamatory impersonation&adlibs. I've new music listed kittybankz&DjinniKing&a fictional audiobook listed as maridrainha I'm working on&this easily proves I'm the real Çlaire. I made all my content marked Grimes when age6-9in early90s including concerts&alleged live performances&I don't care what the media lead you to think bc what I say is fact. I'm39per this post. A lot of interviews were forced&ad-libbed anyways. I'm not involved w/Elon/we don't have kids; I think this Elon mess is a cover up for a momentarily encounter w/1of his boys they're overly paranoid about to the point of spreading treason however that's my opinion about why. I guess there's chance they did weird child molester things to me in my sleep, idk. I'd stick to my version if I were them. This isn't something I'm willing to argue about. I said I was a child. Block&reported to FBI. I'm not receiving payment, royalties or collateral for my life's work music&art. It was stolen&they're impersonating&sneering fans away fm me. I'm disabled, on welfare; if you think it's unbelievable then think twice about trusting the media just bc they're on TV are not giving evidence&when evidence is provided documents are fraud. They erase my comments when I comment on YouTube. I mean they have got the book of law&started breaking everything it to see how much they can get away with. I'm not joking. They're kid napping child molesters who surprise unsuspecting victims needle popping them&as a parent would never remember you had a child before you fainted&your baby disappeared. Who my parents are&where I'm fm&practically everything you've heard about me is fabricated fm fake news to fake social media accounts.

Odile
At the tender age of 3, she was abandoned near the grounds of a cemetery and raised by the wild dogs roaming the forest nearby.
At the age of 6, she was found by the new local priest, father Henrik, of the town, and taken to the orphanage.
At the age of 8 she fell in love.
At the age of 10 she tried making friends and she joined the church choir.
At the age of 15...
At the age of 18, she became Father Henrik's church custodian and...
She-...
...
Age: Unsure, somewhere between her early or late 20s.
Pronouns: she/her. Hates being called an it as the people at the orphanage would call her that constantly.
Gender: Cis woman
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Birthday: Unsure when she was born, but the orphanage celebrated her birthday on November 30, the date she was taken in.
Sign: Unsure, but it would be a Sagittarius if we go of that her birthday is in late November.
Birthplace: Moldova, a little ghost town whose welcome board is so old, its name has become illegible.
-
Personality: a wary and anxious young woman who wishes to be loved and understood. Odile is very distrustful of many individuals who roam the forest and cemetery she dwells in, but with one kind action, she becomes putty in their hands. She acts like a wild animal when feeling threatened or scared with no way to escape. Lying or abandoning her spurs her aggression, making her act out and do everything in her power to prevent others from leaving her. However, if you manage to slowly chip away the feralness she has, you'll see that her shell contains a very shy and soft-spoken girl that is affectionate and sweet as sugar. One should also make sure not to make her question her relationship with you because she is EXTREMELY jealous when she loves someone romantically.
-
Height: 1.81 m/ 5' 11 " (but considering she tends to hunch down, she appears smaller than she is.)
Weight: 61 kg/134 pounds
Physical description: a tall and lanky young woman with long and unruly strawberry blond hair that reaches her hips and olive eyes. Her skin is sun-kissed (but quite pale when her tans leaves), littered with scars and beauty marks. A distinctive smell of incense, soil, and death seems to have ingrained itself on her skin.
-
Hobbies: embroidery and sewing. Has a nice singing voice. Likes to read as well
Favorite authors: Charles Perrault, the brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen
Favorite stories: Beauty and the Beast, Donkeyskin (Allerleirauh), The Wild Swans, any story you suggest
Favorite artists: William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Alphonse Mucha, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, François Boucher, Viktor Vasnetsov
Favorite art pieces: The Swing, The Abduction of Psyche, The Fallen Angel
Favorite movies: Sleeping Beauty (1959), Beauty and the Beast (1946), The Little Mermaid (1968), The Scarlet Flower (1952), Three Wishes for Cinderella (1973), The Wild Swans (1962)
Music taste: soft ballads, classical music primarily that found in Ballet, church hymns, might even like soft rock if shown
-
Loves: her prince
Likes: bunnies, warm beds, soft dresses, fawns, baby pink, porcelain dolls, rose-scented products, sugary desserts, petrichor, fairytales, lambs, red meat, sugar cubes
Dislikes: loud noises, screaming, large bodies of water, pigs, cathedrals, thunder, demon imagery, the toaster, snakes
Hates: Lies and liars
-
Extra:
Tends to stutter or slur her words when nervous or pushed to speak. Mispronounces a lot of words, too.
Giggles and let's out small chuckles out of nowhere, even during times she isn't meant to laugh.
Extremely expressive (unless she disassociates)
She is left-handed.

“There are things worth dying for. I learned that a long time ago.”
- An excerpt from the journal of Erik Alstroemeria
Far below the city the catacombs of ancient Rome are largely unexplored, kept secret from the rest of the senate, the infamous Farm supplies the city's bank and vampire population with fresh blood. Established by Romulus in the centuries following the founding of Rome, the farm served as a means to an end. At its inception the senate was met with friction, as the city began to rise up more and more supernaturals flocked to it seeking sanctuary in a world that was fraught with conflict and hostility. Vampires, hungering for the blood of many, were provided safe havens that would later become known as places like In Vein. Undesirables were picked off by the vampire marshals, criminals sentenced to a life in prison were intercepted, and the farm was born. Rumours of its existence have bled into the surface for thousands of years, but until now the blood supply has remained untainted.
A hammer of the Spring court that landed in Daedalus’ hands beat the first mortal soul into a changeling, used to also permanently shape the Otherworld into a maze of unknowable paths - that opened doors between the Otherworld and the mortal realm. A conch of the Summer court that beckoned the spirits of the Otherworld to action, that churned the mortal seas and created disasters with only a whisper. An apple fallen from an Autumn tree, gold in nature that could invoke ire and discord among any that it landed between. A star plucked from the skies of Hyperborea, that kept hope alive in the darkest of times and lit a path through the Otherworld. A pomegranate, one of a kind, fell from the tree planted where the former Queen Yidhra was buried, its seeds holding something sacred: the blood of an elven queen. Daedalus’ hammer, Poseidon’s conch, Eris’ golden apple, Tarasyl’nin’s Star, and Yidhra’s Pomegranate. These sacred relics of the Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Royal Courts have gone missing.
Near the edge of the city a criminal pulled a gun, desperate and hungry, weak and powerless. He was tired of being stepped on, tired of being put down, before he could shoot something lunged from the dark. Shredded flesh and broken bones: this story has repeated itself for the last two weeks across the city. Downtrodden individuals with an appetite for change and a desire for violence find themselves in a hospital bed, their injuries all the same. The hospitals in Rome would have a hard time dealing with the animal attacks but the wounds all seem to heal within a day, the scars don’t fade but the lesions to the skin close in no time. In Rome there are laws that prohibit the expansion of the lycanthropy, but this can be the only explanation.
A crypt outside the city, a church in the heart of Rome, a splash of blood across the coliseum, a marking within the catacombs. Historic and common sites alike have been vandalised as whispers of a satanic cult operating within the city have begun to resonate among the human population. In each district where a marking has been found, a body has turned up missing. There are too many to track at once and the runes fade within a few hours, but the druid, witch, and eladrin marshals that inspect them before they do can feel the intention behind them: A gateway.
ooc info:
The wedding between Elmira Kent and vampire Queen Evelyn Boucher will take place the evening of February 14th, every vampire in the city is required to attend. Thralls, would-be blood bags, and those personally invited by The Betrothed are welcome.
For the rest of the city, Lupercalia will begin at dawn on February 14th. The decision for who will lead the Tiber will be conducted tournament style with participants ranging from the Tiber, the Arno, and the Deltas of the city. The true celebration will begin on February 15th to celebrate the new Alpha.
Sacred relics have been stolen from each of the fey courts as well as the royal reliquary.
The blood coming from the farm has been contaminated, as has the city’s water supply. While undetectable to all, vampires will gradually become thirster and more aggressive than ever before.
Lycan numbers have been rising across the city, the majority of which being former or current criminals.
Various sites across the city have been graffitied in blood, the runes disappear after a few hours and become undetectable.
The Blessed will not be attending the wedding or Lupercalia
Demons and Reapers are unable to attend the wedding.

AAU Basketball in Canada: Building the Future of Canadian Hoops
AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball has long been a cornerstone of youth basketball development in the United States, producing countless NBA stars and college standouts. While AAU’s influence is well-established south of the border, its presence in Canada has been steadily growing, playing a crucial role in the development of young Canadian basketball talent. Today, AAU basketball in Canada is not just a feeder system for U.S. colleges but a burgeoning platform that is shaping the future of Canadian hoops.
The Rise of Canadian Basketball
Over the past two decades, Canada has seen a basketball renaissance. With players like Steve Nash, Vince Carter, and more recently, Andrew Wiggins, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and RJ Barrett making waves in the NBA, basketball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. This surge in interest has led to a greater emphasis on youth development programs, with AAU basketball becoming an integral part of the landscape.
What is AAU Basketball?
AAU basketball provides young athletes with the opportunity to play competitive basketball at a high level, often traveling to tournaments across North America. Unlike school teams, AAU teams are typically independent and coached by non-school-affiliated coaches, allowing for more flexibility in terms of competition and player development. These teams often participate in high-profile tournaments where players can showcase their skills in front of college scouts and, increasingly, professional scouts.
AAU’s Impact in Canada
The expansion of AAU basketball in Canada has had a profound impact on the development of young players. Here’s how:
Exposure to High-Level Competition: AAU teams in Canada frequently compete against top talent from the U.S., providing Canadian players with invaluable experience. This exposure helps players adjust to the pace, physicality, and skill level required at higher levels of play.
Pathway to U.S. Scholarships: For many young Canadian players, AAU basketball serves as a gateway to U.S. college scholarships. The chance to compete in front of college coaches during AAU tournaments has opened doors for numerous Canadian athletes, helping them secure spots in prestigious NCAA programs.
Development of Canadian Talent: AAU basketball emphasizes individual skill development and team play, which has been instrumental in producing top-tier Canadian talent. Players like Jamal Murray, Dillon Brooks, and Chris Boucher honed their skills through AAU programs before making their mark in the NCAA and eventually the NBA.
Building a Basketball Culture: The growth of AAU basketball in Canada has also contributed to a stronger basketball culture. It has brought together communities, created opportunities for mentorship, and provided a platform for young athletes to pursue their basketball dreams.
Challenges and Opportunities
While AAU basketball has thrived in Canada, it faces several challenges:
Cost of Participation: AAU basketball can be expensive, with costs related to travel, tournaments, and training often being prohibitive for some families. This has raised concerns about accessibility and the potential for talented players to be overlooked due to financial constraints.
Geographic Limitations: Canada’s vast geography poses challenges for AAU teams, especially in less densely populated areas. Teams often have to travel long distances to find competitive games, which can limit opportunities for consistent high-level competition.
Balancing Development and Exposure: There is a delicate balance between focusing on player development and seeking exposure through tournaments. While the lure of being scouted can be strong, it is crucial for AAU programs to prioritize the long-term development of their players.
Despite these challenges, the opportunities presented by AAU basketball in Canada are significant. As the sport continues to grow, so too does the infrastructure supporting it. More resources are being dedicated to youth basketball, and the Canadian AAU scene is becoming increasingly organized and competitive.
The Future of AAU Basketball in Canada
The future of AAU basketball in Canada looks bright. With the continued rise of Canadian talent in the NBA and international basketball, the demand for quality youth basketball programs is only going to increase. AAU basketball will play a vital role in meeting this demand, providing young players with the tools, experience, and exposure they need to succeed at the highest levels.
As more Canadian players make their mark on the global stage, the influence of AAU basketball in Canada will continue to grow, solidifying its place as a key component in the development of the next generation of Canadian basketball stars.
