Fanart of Mariana of Austria as a child
Warning: This story have some artistic license
Mariana, the beloved princess of the Holy Roman Empire, was a cheerful and imaginative young girl. She carried her dolls wherever she went, dressing them in different outfits and even feeding them as if they were alive. She would converse with them, pretending they could talk and understand her.
One day, her mother presented her with a special gift. Mariana couldn't contain her excitement as she quickly unwrapped the present to reveal a beautiful doll. Overjoyed, she thanked her mother for such a wonderful gift.
Her older brother, Ferdinand, would play tricks on her by hiding her dolls in various places. Although he would join her in play from time to time, their lives were largely separate during that period as he focused on his duties.
Mariana of Austria had a passion for playing with dolls as a child.

Queen Maria Anna of Neuburg on Horseback
Artist: Luca Giordano (Italian, 1634-1705)
Date: 1693-1694
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid, Spain
Description
Barely six months after the sudden demise of Marie Louise of Orléans, who died without producing the much-desired heir who would ensure dynastic continuity, Charles II married Maria Anna of Neuburg (1667–1740). In a context in which the arrival of a successor to the throne was an issue of greatest importance, the fact that the new queen’s mother had given birth to 17 children seemed a guarantee of success. Nonetheless, the couple had no children, a fact which brought the Spanish branch of the Habsburg dynasty to an end. The hopes and expectations invested in Maria Anna of Neuburg are evident in the allegorical elements that accompany the queen in this equestrian image. The flower-filled cornucopia and the fruit held by small angels symbolise abundance and prosperity, while the naiads offering the bounty of the sea, together with the figure of the river god, refer to the queen’s fertility. It seems likely that both this portrait and that of Charles II, with which it forms a pair, were painted to commemorate Maria Anna of Neuburg’s official entry into Madrid in May 1690, as Rizi had done some years before to celebrate the arrival of Marie Louise of Orléans. From documentation of the period, it is known that the queen arrived on a richly caparisoned white horse, as we see her here, and that she proceeded on horseback through the city from the Buen Retiro Palace to the Alcázar.

I've noticed sometimes that there are those who view Daemon and Rhaenyra's relationship negatively because of the incest and that they were uncle and niece. Do these people not realize that world history was practically full of marriages between uncle and niece? Here's a few real-life examples:
Agrippina the Younger and her paternal uncle Emperor Claudius (younger brother of her father Germanicus)
Philip II of Spain and his fourth wife Anna of Austria (daughter of his sister Maria of Austria)
Philip IV of Spain and Mariana of Austria (daughter of his sister Maria Anna of Spain)
Maria I of Portugal and her uncle Peter III of Portugal (brother of her father Joseph I)
Infante Carlos, Count of Molina, and both of his wives, Maria Francisca and Maria Teresa of Portugal (daughters of his sister Carlota Joaquina)
Ferdinand VII of Spain (brother of the Count of Molina) and two of his four wives, Maria Isabel of Portugal (daughter of his sister Carlota Joaquina) and Maria Christina of the Two Sicilies (daughter of his sister Maria Isabella of Spain)
There's also been at least one instance of a marriage between an aunt and nephew: Infanta Benedita of Portugal (younger sister of Maria I of Portugal) and her husband Jose, Prince of Brazil (son of her sister Maria I of Portugal)
This list only has a few examples in real life. But do some even realize these marriages were real, and that some, if not all of them, resulted in living descendants today? Even in House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra and Daemon were able to marry because of the Doctrine of Exceptionalism, not to mention the Targaryens take it one step further by allowing marriages between full siblings (which, for that matter, did also happen in real life, specifically in Ancient Egypt, a lot of pharaohs had wives who were their sisters). I will never understand those who do not take context into account and might never have paid attention in history class...
Not only is there this context of Daemyra very clearly inspired by reality, but also the aspect of fantasy (a bit like the Greek gods) which means that incest does not really have an effect on the Targaryens. in terms of genetics. And then, I don't understand the madness of starting from the principle that incest necessarily = toxicity in terms of emotional or physical abuse. Human beings are complex, and even more so in fiction where you literally do what you want. The antis are stupid.

Maximilian II (1527-1576) and His Wife Maria of Spain (1528-1603) and His Children Anna (1549-1580), Rudolf (1552-1612) and Ernst (1553-1595)
Artist: Giuseppe Arcimboldo (Italian, 1526-1593)
Date: c. 1563
Medium: Oil painting
Collection: Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, Austria
Description
Maximilian (1527-1576) was the eldest son of emperor Ferdinand I. and Anna of Hungary. In 1548 he married his cousin Maria. Her father Karl V made him governor of Spain. He inherited Bohemia, Hungary and the Austrian countries. In 1564 he was crowned Roman Emperor. Maximilian is shown together with his wife Maria of Spain (1528 - 1603) and his children Anna (1549 - 1580), Rudolf (1552 - 1612) and in the cradle Ernst (1553 -1595).
It is quite clear that the painter Arcimboldo settled down in Vienna in 1563. If the attribution to Arcimboldo rightly exists, he worked with models. According to technical research the painter used a kind of templates. Moreover there are single portraits of Maria, Anna and Maximilian II left.

How many rings will Roderich have? Will he even get any? Does he have a favorite? What will it look like? Do he he have to return them to his exes when they're no longer married?
Many
Kidding it should only be up to 4 if we count the main once from Spain, Portugal, France and Hungary. Unless we feel like adding more for the funsies though I cannot think of any further major ruling figures Habsburgs married off into the other sovereigns that wouldn't like. Make it look like an entire polygamous bit (Austrian monarchs marrying into the Dutch line was in the period of the Spanish and Austrian branches unity, and we can get away with the Portuguese bit because the major marriage later was during the Spanish succession war, Maria Anna and Joao V 1708 - 1750) ... so 4 is the perfect number to stop at.
Considering both spouses have their own rings and Roderich is synonymous with tu felix austria nube, he'd have kept them because 1) They're sure as hell expensive antique and nothing comes close to the unique look of said rings.
And 2) Maybe when he's feeling mischievous and wants to taunt them he'd wear the rings to meetings and conferences. Particularly to mess with France. Especially to mess with France. And simultaneously making Spain's blood boil and remembering why he wants to murder France and it's not because of Napoleon this time.
Favourite rings: from the marriage with Spain & Hungary.
