reasons it feels slow with no emotional highs so far: mao does seem to be dropping things with the intention of everything wrapping up together for a big payoff at the end.. rt's withholding a lot more for a lot longer than im used to her doing

Looks like Masago may still be alive after all. I've been wondering about that ever since she saved Kamon from drowning back in chapter 67.

also is masago really dead, or is she dead like daigo was? since mao/the 4 didnt kill her, it was yurako's ayakashi... who were also at the shrine and apparently part of the deal. so. yurako/her ayakashi can kill mao/the other 5 too?

Hi. When you started that Kamon might betray Mao-so He can have Masago revived-and "he's ambiguous" I had hard time to accept it. But now,in MAO chapter 145,it's childs play to him to purify the Energy Seed! Why's He keeping this secret from Maonoka?

What makes you guess the Gokou will have a civil war?

Btw what can you tell about Kagari and her future?

There are so many questions here! 1. Yes, I think he is a morally ambiguous character. At the very beginning, he helped a rich man to hide the evidence of raping women. And in all these years, he kept working for nobles and rich people like what the old Gokou Clan did. He stands with Mao just because he's opposite to Shiranui. And the main goal for him is to get Masago's body back. I actually have a new thoughts about the energy seed: Masago's body is still there, her soul is still here and probably the seed is something to make her body works again. And that maybe something shaken his loyalty to Maonoka. It's just my guess but Rumiko is now playing something on the seed's storyline.

2. The Gokou Clan people are having different goals. For "justice" : Mei and Renji. For power: Hakubi, and probably Shiranui For money: Sasuga For jealousy: Shiranui For their family: Kagari and Soma Still don't know the goal: Yurako Especially Yurako, Hakubi and Shiranui, these selfish people are difficult to stand together if something happened to shaken their status and power. 3. I just don't like Kagari as a character. I hope she disappears soon LOL But I do think there will be an arc that she can control Mao in Cat-demon form with the help of other Gokou clan members. Also I have a guess: Kagari, Soma and Sasuga's families stole or inherit Gokou's tools and it was possibly they were cursed in certain ways. Of course it's just my random guess!
