Les 5 règles de priorité en voilier à retenir

Les règles de priorité, en voilier, sont primordiales pour éviter tout désagrément voire collision. Voici 5 règles de priorité à retenir par tous. En mer, si les règles de navigation et la signification des bouées sont généralement connues des plaisanciers, les règles de priorité, en voilier, semblent plus abstraites. Et pourtant, elles sont tout aussi importantes. 5 règles, à retenir, peuvent éviter les manoeuvres d'urgence voir les collisions. Ces règles sont régies par un code, appelé le RIPAM, Règlement International Pour Prévenir les abordages en Mer. Vous devez posséder ce document à bord de votre voilier. Voyons quelles sont ces règles de priorité en voilier.

Règle de priorité 1: Priorité tribord amure

Cette règle est la première à retenir. Le voilier qui navigue tribord amure ( vent venant de tribord) a priorité sur le bateau qui navigue bâbord amure ( vent venant de bâbord).

Règle de priorité 2: Priorité sous le vent

Lorsque les deux voiliers naviguent sous amure identique, le voilier qui est sous le vent a priorité sur le bateau qui est au vent.

Règle de priorité 3: Le rattrapant s'adapte

Lorsque deux voiliers se suivent et sont sur la même amure, la règle veut que le voilier le plus rapide doit contourner celui qui est moins rapide. Le rattrapant adapte donc sa route au voilier qui est devant.    

Règle de priorité 4: Se tenir à distance

Lorsqu'un voilier effectue une manoeuvre comme un virement de bord ou un empannage par exemples, il se doit de se tenir à une distance respectable d’un bateau qui navigue sur son cap. cela permet d'éviter toute manoeuvre d'urgence de l'un des deux voiliers.    

Règle de priorité 5: Etre prévisible

La cinquième règle qui permet d'éviter toutes Collision est de manœuvrer de manière claire et compréhensible pour l’autre voilier et de faire sa manoeuvre largement à l’avance.
