State Finance Secretary Apurba Roy confirmed that the commission will meet Chief Minister Manik Saha and hold discussions with senior government officials to understand Tripura’s financial priorities. The agenda includes meetings with representatives from local urban bodies such as the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), and delegations from political parties to hear their views and demands. First Successful Kidney Transplant In Tripura State Hospital.

In a historic milestone for Tripura, doctors at a state-run hospital have performed the region's first successful kidney transplant on 8th July, 2024. Led by Dr. Gulliver Potsangbam from Shija Hospitals, Manipur (that signed a MoU with the state govt. recently) , the surgical team conducted the operation, marking a significant advancement in local healthcare capabilities. The procedure, which lasted six and a half hours, was performed free of cost, underscoring the commitment to accessible healthcare for all residents.

The Vice President of India Honorable Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS) 2023 with the theme “Safe & Secure Dams Ensure Nation’s Prosperity” on 14th September, 2023.
