summary: satoru comes home after an early morning when he went to the bakery to buy you some pastries, frozen to the bone by the biting early december cold. doesn’t he deserve to find you under the warm comforter where your warm presence hides?

cw: fluff, domestic, gojo has his nose pink from the cold, he’s silly, needy and so in love <3, i have put some pastries i know bc i’m french but ignore them if you don’t like croissant (what’s on ur mind) or pain au chocolat (i agree on this).

When Satoru enters the bakery — his body draped in a long coat, head wrapped in a knit cap, and half his face hidden behind a large scarf — the gentle chime of the entrance bell feels like a sweet melody mingling with the warm, sugary scent of the quiet, early-morning haven.

Behind the sparkling glass displays are heaps of pastries that make his mouth water. From chocolate croissants to apple turnovers, the variety of treats teases his senses as he approaches the kind, tiny baker, who barely reaches his chest.

“Good morning, young man,” she coos like a grandmother, tilting her head up to look at him. “Feeling like something sweet this early?”

Six o’clock in the morning — was it too early?

Satoru would camp outside the bakery if it meant sharing pastries with you.

He hums thoughtfully. “I’d like a brioche, a chocolate croissant, a croissant, an éclair, and a strawberry tart,” he says, distracted by the vibrant colors tempting him to buy out the entire bakery.

The baker grabs a bag and carefully places his order inside, smiling warmly.

“Will that be all, young man?”

Satoru nods.

“Alright.” She names the total price and hands him the large bag once he pays. “Are you planning to eat all of this yourself, young man?”

A smile capable of melting ice stretches across Satoru’s face, despite being hidden behind his scarf. “I’ll share it with my girlfriend.”

“Oh, that’s so sweet of you.” After he pays, the baker hands him a blue lollipop, the kind that colors your tongue. “A boy like you, who takes such good care of his loved ones, deserves this.”

Satoru accepts it with a word of thanks before heading home, where you’re unknowingly waiting for him, still tucked beneath the warm covers of your bed.

He enters the apartment silently, closing the door with care and removing his shoes and coat in near-perfect quiet. In the kitchen, he wastes no time arranging a breakfast tray, loading it with the pastries he bought and a cup of tea and coffee.

He performs the task with an adorably proud smile, humming cheerfully at the thought of sharing a warm breakfast with you under the blanket, where you’d thaw his December-chilled body.

With the tray prepared to perfection, he carries it to the bedside table and sets it down gently before slipping into the bed. The combination of the soft blanket and your warmth, still lingering in the sheets, begins to ease the cold from his body. His stiff, frozen arms wrap around you, rousing you from sleep.

“Toru?” you whisper, your eyes fluttering open as a yawn escapes your lips.

“Morning, sweetheart,” Satoru murmurs into the crook of your warm neck.

You shiver at how cold he feels. “Did you go out?” You turn to wrap your arms around him, planting a kiss on his nose, pink from the cold.

“Brought pastries,” he hums. “Wanna eat with me?” He blinks at you cutely, his snow-dusted lashes framing eyes as deep and blue as the ocean.

“You did?” The corners of your mouth turn down as you pull him closer. Satoru’s habit of buying things for you without needing to be asked makes your heart ache in the sweetest way. “Of course, my love.” You pepper kisses all over his face. “Love you so much.”

He grins so cutely you want to crush his head in your arms.

Minutes later, you’re both sitting up in bed, the makeshift tray perched on your shared lap as you indulge in a perfect breakfast.

Through the bedroom window, the first snowflakes of December fall onto the balcony, covering it in a white blanket that matches your lover’s hair. The sky, equally white, might’ve seemed dull and cold, but sitting beside Satoru, who is devouring almost all the pastries, brightens the weather.

Once your stomachs are full, Satoru burrows under the blanket, pressing his face against your pajama-clad stomach. A giggle escapes you, your chest shaking gently with the sound.

“What are you doing?” you ask, raising a playful eyebrow.

“Cuddling,” he mumbles, his voice muffled by the comforter.

“You look more like a whiny cat, you know.”

“If a whiny cat gets cuddles, then I am one.”

Your laughter bubbles over, warming Satoru, who nearly purrs as your fingers scratch at his scalp.

Izutsumi has a bowl with a mushroom in it. She hasn't eaten it yet, but she might be trying to eat things she doesn't like.

I'll bet it was Kabru's idea to invite people from all around. The Town Crier's words sound like the kind of propaganda Kabru would create.

Flamela and her aide become very talkative when drunk. Those orcs may have learned ancient secrets that Kabru and Marcille have been trying to uncover their whole lives.

The demon wanted to make a blissful meal that lasts for eternity. Laios put on a grand feast and everyone in attendance was sick of eating after just seven days. More proof that the demon's plan was doomed to fail.

Fleki has eaten so much that she's got a balloon belly.

Twin braids is probably the most elaborate hairstyle Chilchuck can do. At least Marcille's braids have matching clips.

Could this be the curse?!?

Izutsumi has to always be edgelord cool person.

Huh. I would have thought Laios would have already told everyone about the lion's curse by now. But they all agree that there's no way the lion's curse has anything to do with Falin.

Not entirely sure why Marcille is afraid of hurting Laios by telling him the curse likely doesn't have to do with Falin. I guess he just already has enough to worry about. The last thing he needs is to worry about being able to resurrect Falin AND there's some other goal he is cosmically denied.

This series has a lot of themes surrounding eating as a form of social bonding and happiness. And this final chapter is explaining how it's not possible to enjoy a meal together forever because death is an inevitability.

And in addition, another theme of this series is the connection to what we eat. We eat to live, but something has to die to do that, and we shouldn't take life for granted.

But also, this is a comedy manga about a bunch of goofballs eating weird monsters. You're free to find deeper meaning to anything, but you don't need to ascribe meaning to everything.

I wonder if Izutsumi and Lycion have a similar scenario in their souls. Their human souls pin down the beast souls in them so they are the dominant being.

The moment her legs were restored.

She had the chance to discard the dragon entirely, but she chose to bring it with her.

The demon is a form and personality mana took to better understand humans and other living things. When it first came to the world, it responded to the millions of creatures wanting to eat. It understood that eating doesn't satisfy forever, and whatever gets eaten becomes part of the world.

The demon decided to join in on eating and being eaten because it wanted to know why everything participated in this. But it came to the wrong conclusion that eating was something done only for temporary pleasure. It thought the eternal happiness the ancients wished for was simply infinite food and eternally full bellies. And it couldn't understand why they wished for their destruction even though they had that.

The demon was okay with being eaten because it was infinite. No matter how much of it was consumed, it never lost anything. But Laios ate its desires and that core bit that defined the demon's self was lost. It's appetite became part of Laios and the demon has since realized that eating is more than just a pleasurable activity. It's also how we obtain the nutrients we need to stay alive and maintain our bodies. We don't just eat food and then poop it out. What we eat becomes part of us.

Laios kept a brooch of the winged lion as part of his royal garments because he believes the winged lion genuinely wanted to make people happy. He wished for the lion to not be forgotten and keep watching over the world. And the lion has chosen to fulfill that wish.

At its core, the demon may have actually desired to be part of the world. While its infinite self makes it impossible to truly exist within the finite world, it has found a role it is satisfied to have. It has stopped being a living creature and is now a force that living beings can use and helps their existence.

Falin's dress was fine until this moment. The threads look like blood vessels.

Pattadol probably styled Marcille's hair here. Unlike Marcille, Pattadol had only one way she decorated her hair and it's pretty similar to this.

Happy reunions all around. Falin's a little better at remembering people than Laios, but she only remembers Senshi as that guy who cooked them a meal.

Since when?

Pattadol is trying to look proper and not nosy at all, but her fairy was trying to listen in on everything as well.

Shuro can't bear to look at Falin right now.

The orcs like to gift vegetable crops. Maybe that adds to why they like Senshi so much.

Of course, they might also be trying to cozy up to King Laios by giving his sister gifts.

Not the most exciting final meal the series could have had.

She's got little dragon fangs too.

And it makes one last joke at Laios's expense. Despite achieving everything most people could ever desire, it meant nothing to him because he couldn't be around monsters anymore.

And one of the themes of this series is accepting that you can't have everything you want but you can still find joy in what you have. Laios may not be able to make a kingdom of monsters, but he can still make a kingdom where all races can live together, share meals, and eat what they like with the people they like.

Dungeon Meshi - "Dungeon Meals" from volumes 1 to 4

Decided to compile the dungeon meals anyway. These are from chapter 1 to 28 (Volumes 1 to 4)

There were a total of 24 "meals" (counting the special panels) in the 28 chapters. Meal is anything that gets the named panel, so kelpie soap giant frog suit and Falin skeleton count (cause that's funny). I'm using EHScans pages because they have a better resolution usually (and for consistency)

Anyway here's the meals of each chapter and who made them.

Mostly the multipart chapters, there was food eaten in 17 and 22 but no special panel for them, 17 is the titular raspberries and 22 the barmaids serve them a meal they eat right at the end

The chapter with more than one "meal" panels (not more than one meal prepared just more than one special panel for the meals) were:

11 - Sorbet with Holy Water and Sorbet

21 - Giant Frog with Gnocchi and Frog Suit

And the party stats are:

Senshi: 17 meals cooked, all of them food

Chilchuck: 3 "meals" cooked, 2 of them were food, 1 of them was a Frog Suit

Marcille: 4 "meals" cooked, 2 of them were food, 1 of them was soap and 1 of them was Falin skeleton reconstruction. She made the soap by herself and the stew mostly by herself

Laios: 5 "meals" cooked , 3 of them were food, 1 of them was a frog suit and 1 was Falin skeleton reconstruction. He also helped with 4 other meals (kinda) and 1 of them he made by himself (The zosui)

Out of the 24 meals in these 4 volumes, 21 were food and 3 were "other"

Out the 21 food meals Senshi made 17 of them, Laios made 1 Marcille made 1 and the other 2 was Namari and Living Painting Cooks.

I often get confused with numbers so if I said anything wrong feel free to correct me! Might do less volumes for the next post we'll see

Hi fellow adventurers!! Welcome to chapter 2! We're going to be attempting a nice lil fruit-focused quiche/frittata/pie thing. And yes, tomatoes are fruits.

Who says you cant eat totally normal things in a dungeon with definitely no monsters in them? 

You know what that means; Man-Eating Plant Tart!

(As always you can find the cooking instructions and full ingredient list under the break-)

SO, “what goes in to a Man-Eating Plant Tart?” YOU MIGHT ASKThe way its prepared in the show is akin to a frittata, but the crust is borrowed from quiche world.

Eggs

Whole milk

Bell peppers

Persimmons

Cherry tomatoes

Pitted green olives

Thinly sliced OR shredded sweet potatos

Salt

Pepper

In the show they use leftover hotpot stock, slime, and mashed up fruit as the batter ingredients. Fruit mush is easy to work with but I couldn't find any stand-in for slime that would cook correctly into what they made in the show, and the hotpot stock is just not thick enough to carry the base. It is too many watery ingredients at once. Needing a thickening agent, both gelatin and agar agar were tried. It was edible but the texture was… gelatinous. Regular egg and milk will serve for our purposes.

The next complication was the crust- so in the show its made with the skins of fruit, straightforward yeah? Well. You see it also has to be 1. Thick enough to bake without burning 2. Harden through cooking to be sliced and held and 3. Inedible. Lotus leaves? Plantain leaves? Really thin gourds? I couldnt find any historical basis for a savory food cooked in this method, or similar method, with an intentionally inedible crust. I could find a few dishes which used leaves as their crust, but none that hardened during cooking and even less that used fruit skin. I chose sweet potato skin for its visual match and texture. It is edible, and it is not a fruit.

I hope youll forgive me for these 2 major deviations as i wanted to keep it looking how it does in the show while also ensuring it tastes good.

AND, “what does a Man-Eating Plant Tart taste like?” YOU MIGHT ASKFluffy, airy, savory, salty.

The density of the eggs is offset by the crisp fruits

And the saltiness doesnt overpower the remnant fruit-sweetness

(If you eat the crust) the sweet potato brings this nice muted, smokey, flavor

Spongecake-esque in consistency

Would pair well with cranberry or strawberry juice

Would also pair well with a mellow hot sauce?

. You can use heavy cream instead of milk for a creamier batter . Roast the fruit longer to remove more liquid if too wet (and vice versa if too dry) . Smoked paprika, pepper flakes, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder would taste good in the mixture

"A mixture of mashed up and cut up Man-Eating Plant fruit, slime and scorpion soup is poured into a pan lined with the flattened peel of the fruit and cooked before garnishing with some more fruit. Described as salty by the group."

From start to finish this recipe took 3-ish hours? Shredding the potatoes took the longest, so if you get them bagged itd be cut down. A very filling recipe and a good way to sneak veggies/fruits in if you have a hard time getting enough of those essential nutrients. The best advice i can give is to add salt/seasonings at every stage of the process, to build up layers. It makes a difference flavor-wise (even if its just salt). I advise against reheating if possible. The filling will make the crust soggy over time.

If you want to be closer to the cooking of the show, you could double the fruit amounts and mash them together while halving the amount of egg and milk. I hadnt tried due to budget reasons, but it should work with some finangling. I'll pass the final verdict off to you guys with how todays recipe turned out <333

What would you rate this recipe out of 10? (with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) Did you love it, did you hate it? What're your thoughts on what I could do better, and what would you have done instead?

🐁 ORIGINAL RESIPPY TEXT BELOW 🐁

Ingredients:

3 Eggs

13oz whole milk

2 bell peppers

2 small persimmons

140oz cherry tomatoes

12oz pitted green olives

34oz thinly sliced OR shredded sweet potatos

Salt

Pepper

Method:

Heat oven to 420f and grease a 9-inch pie pan.

Thinly slice (or shred) your sweet potatoes and squeeze out any excess moisture. Coat in olive oil, salt and pepper.

Press sweet potato mixture evenly into and up the sides of the pie pan.

Blind bake for roughly 25 minutes or until lightly golden-brown. No worries if the edges get crisp.

Remove pie pan from oven and set aside.

Core and chop up your bell peppers and persimmons. Coat with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Line out on a baking sheet, evenly spaced, and roast for roughly 20 minutes or until softened. (you can do this at the same time on a separate rack from the pie crust if you have room)

Remove the stems from your cherry tomatoes, and drain/dry your green olives if canned.

Bring a frying pan to medium heat with olive oil. Add the green olives and sautee until their skin texture starts dimpling. Add the cherry tomatoes and continue sauteeing for about 5 minutes or until lightly browned.

Once the bell peppers, persimmons, cherry tomatoes, and green olives are all done, set aside to cool until just above room temp.

Lower the oven temperature to 350f.

In a mixing bowl combine your eggs and milk, add salt to taste. If you want other seasonings nows a good time!

Once uniform in color and texture, add your cooked fruit. Stir until evenly distributed.

Pour mixture into the potato pie crust.

Bake for roughly 40 minutes. The filling should be mostly firm, but wiggle *slightly* when you shake the pan.

Remove from oven and let rest for roughly 15 minutes before serving.

Sick Day

pairing: wanderer x gn!reader [established relationship] genre: modern au, fluff cw: wanderer is like an asian mom here words: 583 a/n: drabble based on this brainrot. had a headache and thought about how wanderer would take care of their sick s/o.

Your head has been throbbing for god knows how long. It seemed that the constant all-nighters you've pulled have finally brought your body down. Good thing you have your boyfriend to take care of you. As soon as he got the news that you were sick, he instantly appeared on your doorstep, ready to take care of you. A sweet act from someone like him. If only he could tone down the nagging...

"What did I tell you? Stop pulling all-nighters! But did you listen? Of course not! Now I'm stuck here, taking care of you."

"You know you don't have to... I can perfectly take care of myself..."

"Don't make me laugh, [Y/N]. Do you think I'm going to let a sick person take care of themself?! Just focus on getting better so you can quit bothering me!"

Wanderer nagged as his hand skillfully cuts an apple for you. Even if he was in the kitchen, you could hear his grumbles and nags loud and clear. In response, you let out a weak chuckle, not moving an inch from your bed. It was a relief that you've submitted your assignments, so that's one thing to worry less about. Though, you can't help feel bad for your boyfriend. After all, you were both supposed to go on your weekly date, but your body had other plans.

"Open your mouth."

"You know I can eat those by myself ri-"

"Just open your mouth, will you?!"

Your boyfriend holds out a piece of apple, waiting for you to do as he says. With a soft sigh, you opened your mouth for him to prevent anymore nags and grumbles from the man. The apple was sweet, not tart, just how you like it. Even though you were more than capable in doing so, it was nice to have someone to take care of you while you were sick.

"Thanks for taking care of me..."

"Hmph, you better be thankful. I can't believe I'm spending the weekend to take care of you. Now, quit talking and eat. After you've finished, go to sleep. I'll make you a bowl of porridge for dinner."

Even though his words seemed harsh, you knew that deep down, he was actually very worried about you. How did you know? Well, with a little decoding and with how he acted— Wanderer going out of his way to go to your place, him buying you all sorts of medicine (most of which you don't actually need...), buying you fruits and cutting them up— it was quite easy to see that he's very much worried about your well being. You, then, followed his say-so; eating the apples before going back to sleep. It didn't take long for your breath to steady itself as your chest rises and falls.

Unbeknownst to you, Wanderer, who had just finished washing the bowl, comes back to stay by your side. A worried expression, that he doesn't dare show in front of you, adorns his face. His hand caressed your head gently in a way that he's sure won't wake you up.

"Please take care of yourself better... I hate to see you get sick like this..."

The silence that surrounds him was unfamiliar. Wanderer had grown used to you being loud and full of vitality that seeing you bed-ridden, looking so weak and pale, hurts him more than he thought it would. He then leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on your forehead.

"Get well soon, my dear."

Hello! In the wake of Lore Olympus’s end I went back a re-read some of it and one thing that I didn’t know I had such a problem with was THE FOOD.

Seriously all the food in Lore Olympus is either a png, a peice of bread or a mass of green stuff we are to assume is lettuce or something. Like when I read Alex Part 2 I remember being shocked at seeing real fucking food 😭😭😭 thank you for actually drawing food. ❤️

haha there are edits we've done in the community where we've given Persephone actual food! it's definitely weird for there to be so little food in the comic, especially when it's a Greek myth retelling. It's apparently canon that Persephone lives on a high-sugar diet, but that still doesn't explain why she's eating like a squirrel 😭😆 (plus she never told Hades this in the comic so like??? Man is deadass preparing himself a steak and leaving her with tiny ass tarts LOL)

Plus for some reason Rachel tries to do the joke of "haha vegetarianism is so different and looked down upon!" but that makes zero sense in the context of LO, a Greek myth retelling, because the Mediterranean diet is predominantly plant-based. Like, it's really not any sort of counter-culture thing to be a vegetarian in Greece like it has been in, say, America, which is clearly where Rachel gets like 90% of her inspiration and influences.

Anyways here's one of my own edits where I gave Persephone an actual meal LOL Let the poor girl eat 😭

Living Large

It was an odd situation you found yourself in after finding a most peculiar thing growing in your yard.

A beanstalk that seemed to reach towards the heavens themselves. You weren't sure how it could have gotten there unless the plant seeds you received in trade for the hens eggs had anything to do with it. The stranger you traded the eggs with seemed happy to part with the satchel of seeds either way but you weren't in a place to question it when you needed things to feed your family to start with. Once you got home you planted the seeds and watered them after eating the meager rations your family and yourself had for the next day your father would have to travel far to make ends meet leaving you and your mother to your own devices.

You weren't sure what it was that made you decide to climb but something inside you said you just had to see where that beanstalk led

Climbing higher and higher the beanstalk seemed to go on forever until you were within the clouds and saw a most wonderous sight

A castle larger than anything you'd ever seen in your life. You knew there just had to be more to see inside so you looked for an opening finding one in the form of a cracked stone and slipping in.

As you got further in you smelled something delcious and judging by the sound of a large pot bubbling you determined you must be in the kitchen and it was even larger in there than it was inside somehow

You felt your stomach growl just a bit as you remembered you hadn't eaten much before your climb

You climbed up one of the legs of the nearest table and saw some of the biggest meals you had ever seen in your life it was almost like an entire banquet fit for a whole kingdom

Before you you could reach for a crumb of one of the bread rolls you had to hide when you heard footsteps that could be mistaken for a light earthquake

You hid on one of the plates before your world went dark and felt the plate being lifted before you knew it, it was set down and you heard voices

"Today we have a great many things for you your highness, we hope you'll enjoy it " a gruff but wise voice spoke

'Highness?' You thought to yourself before remembering all that food you found, that was fit to feed several

Another answered the first and it sounded like a man your age but much louder

"Smells perfect as always Senshi " the voice was cheerful

You hid yourself under all the rolls thankfully cooled enough so you wouldn't get burned up

The lid was lifted before you heard the sound of munching, you saw him a man as tall as the mountain range just over the hills of your hometown and he was eating with quite the amount of gusto

He was handsome that you could admit but you werent a fool, you knew he could eat you up in one gulp if you weren't careful

The giant ate plate after plate and you knew you had to move fast

You managed to hide under an empty plate with a spot easy enough to squeeze into to be hidden by the lid before the giant let out a contented sigh

"That was so good thank you Senshi" he mused patting his belly now slightly distended

"Of course King Laios" another giant spoke only this one seemed shorter with a great big beard covering most of his face before he and the other servants gathered the plates now covered in bones and the stems of various fruits

They carried the plates back to the kitchen and you knew now was your chance

While the servants were distracted you made your way down and took off in a direction that you were sure was the way out judging by the shining light

Once you got there and your eyes adjusted to the light you saw you werent outside but in a treasure room

Piles upon piles of gold and jewels. You decided at least a few missing wouldnt hurt and placed them in the sack before you made your way down the beanstalk

What you didnt know, someone saw you take that money and he knew you'd be back

The money was more than enough to feed your family for several months but eventually that ran out and so you decided it was time to make the journey up the beanstalk again

This time was much easier to climb the great plant that led into the clouds. Sneaking through the crack that led into the kitchen. You heard the sound of a knife cutting something before you saw the second giant from your last visit. He wasn't as tall as his king but you werent in any station to think you could out run him. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed you

"So you're back, didn't think a tiny visitor would come twice knowing they were in a giants castle of all places" he spoke

"I I'm so sorry I was just-" you tried to explain

"Calm down I'm not going to cook you if that's what you believed, all that stuff is a myth" the giant you remembered was called Senshi by the king

Before you could say anything else, your stomach growled quite loudly causing your face to erupt with blush from embarrassment

"Hm hungry huh? Well sit down I'll give you something gonna be a long way back down " Senshi said as he continued to cut up lunch for the day

You werent in a place to argue as the giant man set you on the table while he worked

After a little bit Senshi set down what seemed like a giant wooden thimble of soup that smelled better than anything you'd ever had in your entire life before you could have a single sip the area started to tremble and you heard that familiar cheerful voice of the giant king

"Senshi is it ready yet?" Laios inquired the cook as you hid

"Yes just adding the finishing touches" the older giant said before Laios sniffed the air

While he had smelled a great many of Senshi's delicious meals, this time he could smell something or rather someone different that was still familiar. Following the smell he found you hiding behind the bowl of grapes that was to be part of today's feast.

Laios smiled upon realizing he had a tiny guest before grabbing you in his large hand causing you to scream in fear

"Hey hey don't scream it's okay, I'm not going to eat you" he said in a calmer voice as if hoping that might calm you down a little

You felt your heart pounding in your chest as the giant king smiled down at you before he spoke again

"Why don't you have lunch with me?" He said as if this weren't a man many times your size that could smash you into a paste with a single squeeze

"I I'd love to your highness" you managed to choke out before he waved his hand

"Don't be so formal you can just call me Laios" he insisted before sitting down with you.

The table once more was filled to the brim with a meal fit to feed several armies and Laios devoured everything easily but not without making sure you got to try everything as well all while talking about your life down below his kingdom in the clouds

"Try this" he say before insisting you take the food and you'd eat it hoping not to offend him before long he was stuffed and so were you

You insisted you needed to go but the giant couldn't help but feel sad insisting you at least bring a bit of food with you and a jewel as well saying that you could come back any time you wanted to visit

Something about his smile should have comforted you in the fact he was your friend now but instead it filled your heart with an odd feeling of dread

You climbed down once more and your family couldn't be happier

While you were away Laios couldn't stop thinking of you. You filled his every thought both waking and asleep. He couldn't understand it why you had to leave him. You had everything you'd ever want or need in his castle with him

He knew you'd be back eventually and this time he wasn't going to let you climb back down

Laios informed his servants every detail of what he wanted for you, so everything could be perfect.

Your family tried to tell you not to climb up the beanstalk but you couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to climb up once more.

If only you had listened

When you got up to Laios' kingdom there seemed to be a party. Slipping in through the kitchen you found Senshi who smiled at you

"Back again? Well Laios will be happy to see you" Senshi said helping you onto the table

"Whats with all the party stuff?" You inquired

"Well it's for something important to Laios" the giant replied

The giant king made himself known as if summoned by the mention of his name with those same thunderous footsteps

Laios smiled upon seeing you

"You came, I'm so happy " he said kindly

"Its nice to see you too Laios" you said back

He picked you up in his mountain sized hands bringing you to the dining table as other guests ate before a servant set down portions you could properly stomach

Laios watched you eat every bite and it filled his heart with joy but said you started to diminish when you said you had to leave

He finally spoke up about what he wanted to say to you much earlier

"But you don't have to go, you could stay here and never have to worry about food or anything like that again" he insisted

"I'm sorry Laios but I can't " you said before he attempted to grab you, just barely missing

You knew it was time to run and so you did with your movements shakey thanks to footsteps of Laios who told everyone else to help him catch you

Running you made your way to a crack in the wall. You were able to breathe for a second but you knew that you still had far to go unless you wanted to remain in the giants castle for good

You found yourself in a room you didn't quite recognize, it looked like an enormous bedroom with paintings of what seemed like members of Laios' family. It then hit you you were in the giant kings bedroom.

Hearing footsteps you hid under the dresser. When they seemed to go away you made the mistake of exiting your hiding spot before you were grabbed by Laios

"Its okay, I'll make you happy here" he smiled in spite of your protests.

This is what led to you becoming the pet of the giant King Laios for the rest of your life
