Hungry little morays

Floyd hummed to himself as he prepared lunch for his kids. Just a few days ago Kaito and Cora had started to develop their baby teeth and he found out thanks to the needle like marks they left on his fingers when it was his turn to get them ready for the day

It wasn't surprising to Floyd that he'd eventually make this particular dish for his elvers after all their mama loved it when he made it for her during her pregnancy and for their first date too. The particular meat wasn't always easy to come by though his other job made it just a little easier.

Floyd even remembered the first time his little morays made Melody crave the dish. She ate at least four helpings before she was full. It helped that they had plenty of the special ingredients during his angelfish' pregnancy

Floyd grabbed what he needed and started to cook, memories unwound themselves in Floyd's mind as he remembered preparing this for his first date with Melody. The prey had begged for his life. It was funny how it could scream for mercy and to be let go when they hadn't done the same for Melody. He smiled to himself as he remembered the time Melody asked him for more. Floyd had a feeling she knew what it was she was eating based on her worried expression but he had assured her she didn't have to worry about it, it was their natural instincts as predators to crave meat after all.

The next time he had made this had been with Mama Leech. She had been feeding Jade and himself this meat for the longest time. It was always so tasty almost as good as the takoyaki Floyd and Jade were given if they behaved themselves. Mama Leech had made sure to show Floyd how to cook it just right from removing the bones to the right temperature to make sure the meat was tender. He remembered the look on the face of his prey after he realized what was happening when he lost . It was so funny the man thought he could get away with trying to hurt the pregnant wife of Floyd Leech.

He and his mother made sure to make plenty that night. With each month that grew more enemies seemed to worm their way out of the cracks trying their luck and of course they'd fail. Thankfully Floyd knew what to do with each of them thanks to his wife's cravings.

Once it was done Floyd brought Kaito and Cora their lunch and the two devoured it like it was nothing. Mama Leech mentioned this was a good sign as it meant they'd likely grow quite well.

A few weeks later Floyd and Jade were called for a sit down by Papa Leech. He explained that someone was targeting them yet again and this time they wanted the kids. Hearing this made Floyd blood boil couldn't these pests leave them alone, didn't they understand who they were dealing with. Clearly not if they could keep doing things like this but that was okay Floyd and Jade were sneaky they could easily get rid of the rats that thought they were hot stuff

Papa leech gave them the address before Jade disabled the power and the guys they were targeting were left in complete darkness . One by one each fell to Floyd hand. Floyd only gave a nonchalant look as he got rid of the last one that begged for his life.

When he got home that night Melody was waiting for him. Seeing him covered in the mess made her eyes widen in concern.

"It's not mine angelfish don't worry" he said reassuringly before placing a kiss on his wife's cheek

Thankfully they managed to get the ingredients since a pretty special occasion was coming up. It was the kids first birthday party. They'd have everything from the best cake to a mountain of presents from their grandpa and his friends. Floyd Melody and Mama Leech made plenty of food using that special ingredient that the kids loved so much even after they were born

Seeing their little morays eat every bit made Floyd happy. He'd always make sure they and their mother would be happy and fed.

As the children grew so did their appetites. Floyd watched them go from little elvers to young adults. He and Melody watched them learn to swim, walk and talk. When they were around 13 Floyd noticed his Cora and Kaito seemed a bit more restless so he decided it mightve been time to show them how to make the dish. He'd teach them how to hunt for it later on but for now he could at least show Cora and Kaito how to cut and prepare the meat into different things.

Jade was a big help as well considering it was his turn to help them get the ingredient. He grinned as he came with the package

"How you've grown" Jade had said to Cora and Kaito before ruffling their hair bringing the package to the kitchen.

Jade knew too it was time for them to learn how to cook with the ingredient and it was good family bonding after all

Unwrapping the package Floyd showed the kids how it was done and they were natural at the task in his eyes from how well they were removing the meat from the bones.

Within a few hours dinner was set at the table and everyone was eating with Floyd feeling pride in his little morays smiling at his and Melody's little family
