Cruel Universe #5 by Cullen Bunn, Corinna Bechko, Claire Roe, Daniel Irizarri, Amy Roy and more. Cover by Greg Smallwood. Variant covers by (2) Malachi Ward and (3) Jay Stephens. Out in December.
"How fragile this tapestry of reality is, yes? What happens when you pull at the lone, loose thread that tethers together the concept you call "human consciousness"? What perceptions will be the first to fall as time and space gives way to the endless cascade of the fourth and fifth dimensions beyond? Can your quaint sense of self handle the unraveling of everything you once thought constant? WE SURE HOPE SO... BECAUSE THIS COMIC MIGHT BE THE ONE THING KEEPING YOU SANE! Peril and panic await within these pages as EC Comics and Oni Press unveil the final, awful truths of this CRUEL UNIVERSE — brought to you by some of today's most brilliantly maniacal minds! Penned with awe and disbelief by the likes of Corinna Bechko, Cullen Bunn, and Amy Roy, and brought to terrible fruition by the limitless atomic collisions of the terribly talented artists Daniel Irizarri, Claire Roe and others. Rejoice, for within these pages, we have found the quantum equation for FEAR!"

The Autumn Kingdom #1 by Cullen Bunn and Christopher Mitten. Cover by Mitten. Variant covers by (2) Alison Sampson, (3) Malachi Ward and (4) Daniel Vega. Out in September.
"In the borderlands between imagination and reality, horror and fantasy, master storyteller Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun, Harrow County) and visionary artist Christopher Mitten (Hellboy & the B.P.R.D.) begin one family's labyrinthine descent through a perilous forest where the local folklore is anything but a myth... Bestselling author Andrew Kier found the perfect place to finish his latest dark-fantasy novel — an idyllic, remote cabin on the edge of a lush Swedish forest. His young daughters, Sommer and Winter, gleefully explore... until they happen upon a strange clearing of ancient statues: goblins, dwarves, elves, and a warrior queen mysteriously missing her swordhand and weapon. When something sinister follows the girls home and viciously snatches their parents in the night, the sisters' only hope may be that ancient relic, lost in the forest underbrush, waiting for a new champion to take it up..."

Review: Time Before Time #27
Robots, spaceships, and time travel equates to the perfect mix of sci-fi. This issue of Time Before Time has us follow robot man Kevin as he purchases a spaceship and tries his best to reconnect and hopefully help his friend Nadie Wells from being captured by the Syndicate. The art in this comic is fantastic, the textures, the lettering, the color, the character designs, the story, all of it is…

“Black Hammer: The End” Announced at Dark Horse
Tumblr media
Dark Horse has announced a new Black Hammer miniseries. Black Hammer: The End will take place immediately after the events of Black Hammer Reborn. Black Hammer: The End hails from writer Jeff Lemire, artist and colorist Malachi Ward, and letterer Nate Piekos.
Black Hammer: The End is a “multi-timeline, world-hopping adventure” with “new stakes, new heroes, and the long-awaited return to Black Hammer Farm.” Said Lemire, “Black Hammer: The End is a story I've been building across the various Black Hammer books for years now. It will pull storylines, and characters, from all the various series into one massive story which will both be a conclusion of all we've been doing, but also usher in a fresh start, and a whole new beginning, for the Black Hammer Universe!" (Dark Horse)
Black Hammer: The End #1 (of 6) goes on sale on August 30, 2023.
