#i like how this design turned out but i feel like i wouldnt want to draw it again for the life of me#next time ill just settle for drawing myself with my pokemon team instead of brainstorming a plausible in-universe outfit#i looked at gym leader reference sheets while drawing this and i have to admit its like balancing on a very thin line#between complicated and simple.. most of the time outfits are maybe 2 or 3 pieces and then 1 or 2 accessories#but put together in a way that makes it more complete as a sum of its parts. esp with the impossible hair styles#idk if im gonna use this design again but itd be fun to draw more of this i think. maybe in different outfits#myart#my art#sona#trainersona#pokemon

i keep seeing people talk about AZ in the new trailer and be like "imagine being immortal and going from basically a king and a warlord to running a holiday inn like wow downgrade much"
and i keep wanting to say stuff like, 'well have you considered maybe thats what he WANTS to do. did you ever consider that?' Did you consider that this is like the first time he's looked happy in like forever?

its been exactly 1 year since my gf started courting me via cookie run rp and it all started with crème university~ felt like trying to doodle some things from the scene that started it all and then clean up a sketch of a later scene while i was at it

Just gave people 1-2 accessories.#sonic has a neckerchief & pilot goggles bc I liked how it looked for boom & to reference that he ya know. had/has a plane.#I imagine he prolly wears them when he runs mostly bc he doesn't fly so often & it keeps the wind out of his eyes#I only gave tails a tool belt. felt that it leaves him a bit bare but looks overall okay.#I changed rouge to having this suit then realized i was literally just yoinking blaze's drip & felt bad :(#Silver has a gamer hoodie. Am I the only one who likes the costume Magneto has at the end of First Class? I mean I get it looks cheap, but the helmet looks GREAT. Wish it wasn't just discarded in Days of Future Past

I could go on forever about how certain scenes in media make me feel and pick apart a ton of little details in character designs, speech, how a character reacts to things, etc etc but it my power is limited to flailing around like a fool and giggling to myself

why do so many people in amazon reviews want product instructions spelled out with words. most of the time when I see these complaints, adding text to the illustrated instructions wouldn't add any additional clarity.
I get that some people might process information better in the form of text but there comes a point when a matter is so simple that reading any amount of words is more complicated than seeing a visual. like if a coffee table arrives as a tabletop with four pre-drilled holes and four screw on legs what the fuck are these people doing leaving a review saying "garbage instructions don't explain anything". like how did they even figure out how to buy things online.
though I guess these are probably just shit-stirring "this is america and everything should be written in american" types.
#DISCLAIMER:#I'm talking about simple ass shit not actual complicated products with woefully inadequate directions#like the stuff that a normal person assembles without even looking at the directions#also mean opinion but it is extremely easy to understand the assembly for most ikea furniture#people who struggle seem to have general difficulty with impulse control + thinking forward in multiple steps + critical analysis#for example: having multiple sizes of screws but using whichever without thinking about it the moment they reach a step for adding screws#on the murika track btw this reminds me of how i was looking at mexican restaurants once#and saw all these 1 star reviews that just said “no english on menus only spanish”#i reported them all for hate speech. get fucked#wait also second disclaimer i have adhd and impulse control so i get having a hard time staying on track but for gods sake directions are#the perfect thing for me cause the process is already laid out and I dont gotta make my brain organize thoughts into steps on its own

#my music#musicians on tumblr#synthwave#just a little tryout but man this daw is so cool and theres so many resources and tutorials to work with#and i get to use my midi keyboard its very fun i love it#And its a one time license instead of monthly so this is going on my christmas/bday list#this is what most of my stuff looks like in the daw btw its the same thing but just building up and layering#why make it complicated when simple sounds great#though im definitely still learning and gonna try more complex stuff like this already has automations and effects but i want more#who knows maybe i can work with this and itll be on my next ep whenever that happens

Me writing what should have been at most a bullet point one-shot comedic romance adventure: “hee hee hoo I’ll knock this out in no time”
Me, four months later and 112k+ words in: “Hmm I think I need to look at the practical engineering reference guide again so we can really assess the recycler issue on this cistern in the compound because I don’t know that they could have it on the lower level if the mountain rock is going to have a level 9 on the Mohs hardness scale—”
#Cannot stress enough how very little any of this research actually gets put into the fic itself#I just need for any technical/sci-fi details I include to sound somewhat believable even if they’re only mentioned in passing#Most of these conflicts are based on their environment so it has to have some measure of truth at the center#It’s like how you can tell when a book centered around nature or agriculture has been written by somebody who didn’t actually grow up aroun#either of those things and obviously hasn’t done their research to the point their characters know what they’re talking about#Anyway yeah. The soldiers need to seem competent at fixing their equipment and improvising tools based on the vast amount of training#and education they were given#Which means I as the author need to understand the problem the complications AND THE SOLUTION well enough the characters sound#not just knowledgeable but natural and familiar with it when talking about it#Same goes for the pilot. I’m pulling out my old flight manuals and looking into advanced avionics just so I can consolidate#a simplified answer into two sentences she can use to explain her area of expertise to somebody who has no idea what kind of ship she flies#Anyway#Fic: Call Sign#The actual simple reason for doing this is that effective imagery and worldbuilding fills out the world and makes it richer as a result#And unfortunately that means I am doing several crash courses in about fifteen different sciences so that I know what I’m talking about#Fun fact I wanted to be a cargo pilot but the aviation program at my university was THE most expensive major they had#And I’m not good/fast enough at math to get through even the small aircraft piloting guide 😞#If I can’t have the adventures and experiences I want I can at least tell stories where they happen#The good news is I have had plenty of experience fixing things and improvising technical solutions based on what science and history I know#So many of these problems are just household and vehicle issues on a bigger scale
