Hi robin hope you're doing good!! Are there any places to see or things to do you'd recommend for someone visiting Aotearoa for the first time?
hi its actually francis but I'm just as (if not more but don't tell him I said that hehehe) fanatic about aotearoa!!! I'm happy to help out. I'm gonna write a bit and leave this in drafts and then rob can finish it off cause its reaaaally late!! eek!! I gotta sleep because there's hiking happening tomorrow!
waitomo glowworm caves are great but ACTUALLY!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THE SUPER FAMOUS ONE!!!! it's nice but it's not so long and the photos you see online are usually better than the experience you get. try out ruakuri caves in waitomo instead!! they're pretty much right next to the most popular caves, but they're longer, deeper, contain more interesting formations AND glow worms as well!! not as many as the main one. it depends on what you're looking for!!! there's a SUPER COOL motel called woodlyn park where you can stay in an old boat, an old tram, an old plane or a hobbit house that have all been converted into rooms. it's really cool!! might be a bit costly though
SWIM SOMEWHERE IF YOU CAN!!!! a river, an estuary, a beach. check water quality first!! beaches are probably your best bet! one of my favourite things in the world to do is swim at the beaches in aotearoa. I have yet to see a beach that makes me happier than the ones here!
some REALLY COOL TOWNS include rotorua (super stinky geothermal hotspot!!! so cool!!!!! bright green lakes!!!) and ahuriri (art deco town!! they actually hold a 1920s inspired festival there yearly if I'm remembering right!), <- francis went to bed at this point HI its robin now. what the freak is up guess I'm writing the rest of this post. also I'm DEFINITELY the bigger fanatic don't listen to her. liar liar pants on fire etc
UM!!! DEFINITELY hike/do a day walk if you can. I fucking LOVE hiking here it's always beautiful. in te ika-a-māui (north island) I really enjoy the waitākere ranges, there's currently a rāhui for some areas but I went hiking last weekend and the trail I went on was really lovely. there are quite a few to choose from!! I went along exhibition drive and the beveridge track, entering from titirangi village.
we're well known for our native birds, but as many of them are endangered you might have trouble seeing many of them. I'd recommend tiritiri matangi, an amazing conservation island off the shore of tāmaki makaurau. it can be pricey to visit but the sheer number of birds to be seen there is wonderful!!! you can even see takahē, as well as kiwi at night. the cost of the ticket goes towards the conservation being done on the island.
if you have a chance to experience a kapa haka performance or attend a māori festival GO. GO GO GO. it's always incredible, the power and just. joyous fierce pride people put into the waiata and haka is amazing. if you go around june-july, you'll be there for matariki celebrations!!! experience them. there'll be lots of events happening in major cities like tāmaki makaurau and pōneke.
if you're up for a bit of camping, motutara farm is an absolute gem. it's in whananaki, and needs to be booked WAY in advance but my god its marvelous. the beach is wonderful the rockpools are fascinating the walks are incredible and the camping sites are so lovely. you will have to deal with long drops.
genuinely, and I'm so serious, if you end up in the north island LET ME KNOW!!!! I love meeting up with people and if you end up in the city I live in, I'd love to show you around!!! there's a walk I really love in my town that I'd be happy to take you on.
there's so much more but these are my (and francis's) top picks!!!! I love these islands so much. there's so much to be experienced. I WILL ALSO SAY!!! the public transport is very good. you can mostly rely on it especially in cities.

一∑ Ping! You’re Dead。・゜・
author’s note: this is @marwhoa ‘s fault for sending me a tiktok
warnings: major character death, description of wounds, blood, angst, grief, bad future, short oneshot, unedited
song inspired: “ Not Allowed by Kapa Boy ”
—————————————————————————
Leonardo had no thoughts as he ran. He had no thoughts as he fought his way towards Casey Jr. His body moved without it needing any prompting. There was no time to waste on something like thinking.
A battlefield with the Kraang was never pretty. The ground was littered with bodies. Leo didn’t think about the allies he had to jump over. Something a turtle just gets used to. Losing people. Losing hands. Losing brothers. Losing battles. Losing the war.
Leonardo bit down, clenching his teeth together as he sidestepped a deformed kraang. It had too many bodies, all writhing and conforming into one monstrosity. Leo didn’t have time to deal with it. He had to get to Casey.
“Donnie take care of big ugly behind me and then meet at Casey’s ping pronto.” Leo spoke, voice hard. He didn’t have to pretend around Donnie. Leo was worried and sugarcoating his tone didn’t mean anything anymore. There was only so much you could hide behind a flashy smile. People knew they were losing the war. Donnie knew. So Leo didn’t bother with the niceties.
“Roger roger.” Was called out from his purple brother. The wrist tech brightening the signature color as the words came through before going back to the tracker that Leo had been following. Casey had sent out a distress signal.
Leo never liked letting Casey go off on the battlefield alone. But it was hard to juggle a multitude of other responsibilities, keep himself from being killed, and watching out for his little human. Especially when that little human made it harder by going off on his own and always guaranteeing that he could handle it.
Teenagers!
They think they can do anything! They think they’re invincible! Leo’s left shoulder ached as a reminder that was far from the truth. No one was safe. Maybe once upon a time, twenty-so years ago. But not anymore.
Leo pushed himself harder, breaking through a thick cloud of dust and finding himself further away from the battle. Why was Casey’s ping so far out? What was he doing over here?
Leo took one more glance at the screen before looking back up. Casey should be right over—
It was then that Leo clocked in on the crumpled form on the ground.
No.
No. Nononono.
A mad dash brought Leo closer and down he went, onto his knees. Dropping his weapon and pulling Casey’s body in close. Cradling him.
“Casey?! No no. C’mon Case, say something!”
“S-sensei!”
Leo hugged him tighter. He smelled blood. Pulling back only enough to really assess the injuries, Leo saw the incomprehensible. Long gashes down Casey’s middle. His little human was gasping, groaning, making noises of pain and suffering that antagonized Leo further. It put him in a useless position.
“That’s it buddy, keep talking. Tell me where it hurts.”
But Casey’s eyes only got bigger as he struggled to breathe. Leo frantically started holding down the wounds. But he was missing something. The way Casey could hardly breathe had Leo finally tearing away the black fabric that covered Casey’s neck. A staple in his little human’s get-up.
It had been covering Leo’s worst fears. A fatal wound to the neck. Blood gushing. Red stained Leo’s hand as he tried to stop the inevitable.
“You’re gonna be fine Casey. You hear me? Just fine! Donnie will be here any minute!”
Leo was babbling. Tears welling in his eyes and running down his face as Casey started convulsing completely. Then going still. Limp.
“No! Nononono!”
He heard Donnie land behind him. Coming out of the air with his battleshell. Leo turned to his brother, pleadingly.
“Donnie help me!!” He cried. Frustrated, screaming painfully, as he shuffled forward on his knees still holding Casey close.
“Leo…” Donnie had a look of disbelief on his face before a complete shutdown.
No.
There had to be something.
This wasn’t right.
This wasn’t part of the plan.
Casey was supposed to survive. They were piecing together a plan for Casey to survive, to live, to have a world he deserved.
He couldn’t. He wasn’t. No!
“Casey?”
Leo whimpered, his head going down to scrub his snout on his little human’s cheek. One robotic arm carrying his body weight, while the other hand still held onto the neck wound. The one that had stopped gushing. The hand that no longer felt a pulse.
Casey was gone. There would never be a reply. Donnie couldn’t help. And Leo continued to lose. Losing people. Losing hands. Losing brothers. Losing battles. Losing the war.
Losing Casey.
It was too much to handle.

I will however preface my week with a little background
I am of both NZ European (our designation for the English/Irish/Scottish mix) and Maori descent, as well as northern and eastern european, a little bit of south american, and then you get those middle eastern traces through much much older DNA
I present to the world in appearance very much as a white girl, but as anyone of mixed descent understands the culture behind that face is not always what you see at first glance
My Maori heritage intersects with the british back to pre colonial when my first NZ europea ancestors arrived and a Whaler (back when they still did that) married a local girl from Taranaki
If you were to line myself up with my siblings 1, 2, 4 & 3 we look like one of those group puppy photos where the printer ran out of toner
It's made for an interesting experience growing up when someone looked at me and then realised who my older siblings were, I've literally watched peoples behaviour alter in front of me from mildly racist tones to "oh shit i said that" they very quickly adjust themselves accordingly and don't do it again. While my appearance is not always a giveaway it has had its uses when encountering this type of person
Normally I sit back and let them show themselves and deliver a very passive aggressive blow
Unfortunately I did get it from both sides, too dark for some, too light for others, it happens; it did however stop me from engaging with my heritage at some point along the way......that's how we lose things we shouldn't
When I was at primary school we had a really impressive Kapa Haka group (man we could have competed and won, we were IMPRESSIVE!!!) with some wonderful teachers. Anyone was able to join regardless of whether they had descent or not as the idea was not just for those who were of descent to have the opportunity to learn more about their own wider culture but also for others to learn more about it
If I had kept my school photos I could show you this little girl in her puipui (in Te Reo its the name for the traditional flax woven skirt, man those things stunk I still hate flaxseed oil) with her poi tucked in, being a sore thumb stick out in the group shot 🤣
I'm told Puipui means something else in Hawaiian so I'll just leave this here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks to the support of people who were able to keep things going the reach of the language has kept growing, and even with recent attacks on it by a fuckwit racist government, the malicious response from the wider NZ public as well as major institutions has been delicious to watch as people pushed for it being accessible even more in response
NZ collectively said "Not Today" ✌️
Below I have linked to a video of one of the secondary schools competitions
Best believe these are serious competitions, Rotorua puts out some of the best

Progress Report 5:
I'm still working on the written portion for each section, but I got the majority for the three components I presented from my research paper. After reviewing what I have right now, I am currently thinking of making the empty sections between originality, versatility, and artistic journey a one line summarization of the previous section. I hope this would help conclude what the overall section is about. Another thing that I added to the website was a section about the Art Propel Model which was something I have found during my research. This model is centered around artistic growth and process being applied to art portfolio. I was hoping that introducing this model as its own section would best establish what the website will be sharing. For now, I'll continue working on the written content for the rest of the website and later on try sketch out a kapa pattern design and the about page.

RNZ Pacific 1314 24 Sep 2023
7440Khz 1259 24 SEP 2023 - RNZ PACIFIC (NEW ZEALAND) in ENGLISH from RANGITAIKI. SINPO = 45434. English, s/on w/bellbird int. mixed with music until pips and news @1300z anchored by Vicki McKay. A group of about 30 "heavily armed" men opened fire at Kosovo police in a northern Kosovo village early on Sunday, killing a policeman, and the same armed men also stormed a nearby Serbian Orthodox monastery in the first such major regional violence since May. It took just 24 hours for Azerbaijan's military to force the surrender of an enclave that is home to 120,000 ethnic Armenians. What happens next to the men, women and children in this corner of the South Caucasus is a source of increasing anxiety. For all of Azerbaijan's promises, Armenians there fear for their future and whether they will be forced to leave, or worse. Te Whatu Ora is looking wider than Queenstown's town water supply, as it hunts for the source of the town's cryptosporidium outbreak. There were now 30 confirmed cases of the gastro infection, one more than yesterday. Sixteen further cases were being investigated and one person was hospitalised. Most of the cases were aged between 15 and 39 years old, with one case under 10. Moteliers in Haast say dozens of tourists and locals have been stranded by the closure of the main road between the West Coast town and Makarora. The 80-kilometre stretch of State Highway 6 has been closed since Thursday morning due to multiple slips caused by heavy rainfall. The environment and Māori identity were hot button topics among rangatahi at this year's Ngā Manu Kōrero speech competition. Te Whakataetae ā-Motu mō Ngā Manu Kōrero 2023 ki Ōtākou was held over two days this week at the Edgar Centre in Dunedin, after two years of being held online. The competition is a proving ground for rangatahi Māori, and many Māori leaders in the fields of te reo, kapa haka and media can look back on Manu Kōrero success in their youth. Sports. @1303z trailer for RNZ "Morning Report". @1304z Weather Forecast: partly cloudy with isolated showers. rain with heavy falls in some areas. a few heavy rain warnings have been extended. @1306z "All Night Programme" anchored by Vicki McKay. fallin’ flower
tw : major character death, blood, vomit, angst, sorrow, hanahaki disease, unrequited love.
dua puluh empat.
dua puluh lima.
tiga puluh sembilan.
tetapi dadanya terasa sesak, dan cairan merah pekat mulai ikut menodainya.
empat puluh.
egi merasa kesepian dan mulai menangis, tetapi lagi-lagi ia terbatuk dan memuntahkan bunga lainnya.
lima puluh dua.
enam puluh empat.
delapan puluh delapan.
she was alone, dead, suffocated, unloved and surrounded by blood and flowers—but not just any flower, it's his favorite one.

2, 4, 11 (CB), 24, 27 about Starlight Express 😌
Thanks Kate 🖤
2. Favourite song?
AC/DC and C.B.! Both OLC ofc
4. Favourite scene?
The There’s Me scene, when lil maniac caboose goes to comfort his friend and love of his life 😭🖤🖤🥹
11. Favourite actor portrayal for C.B.?
Kapa Kitchen our saviour, because he is the whole reason I started shipping Dinahboose in the first place, their chemistry (especially in the earlier boots) is so good! Also he brought us the flop flop flop which is an essential part of C.B.’s character 😌
24. Have you seen it live?
Yes! Sadly not before the update, but I’ve seen it twice with @neacle my lofe in February. And again soon 👀👀👀👀
27. Unpopular opinion about it?
If I had seen the update version first I would probably never even have become a fan, I just can’t get into it, and knowing what it used to be like to me they pretty much only devolved it. They made Dinah an unloveable bitch, Caboose a rather standard bad guy (I’ll admit that for the majority of the audience this makes his character easier to follow, but for me it has taken all the fun out of the role, and also 😭😭😭😭😭😭 twink C.B. my beloved 💔), turned Krupp and Purse, two fun, well-designed costumes, into a wet blanket white board eraser, I don’t even know what the fuck they wanted to achieve with Coco, made the choreography simple and boring which takes out a lot of the spectacle, taken the colour out of my favourite costume (I will also admit here that I can understand that Electra is supposed to be futuristic and the primary colours which conveyed that in the 80s would now in fact signal obsoletion so the sleek current scheme works in that sense; I just really love the coloured costume), the whole Pearl/Rusty thing that drives the plot gets weakened by them only marginally being acquainted, and from a compositional point of view Ich Bin Ich is a terrible song. Literally the only improvement the update shows for me is Espresso’s costume.
Having seen it live and really having tried to get into it, I do think I can say that the update in its current state just doesn’t hold the charm for anymore that the earlier version did, which I actually am sad about because the actors and musicians and all the staff do an amazing job nonetheless, it’s the concept that got less great to me.

I’d love to know your thoughts on Luthic worship!
ABSOLUTELY. I would be glad to share! This is something that I started to explore as a player myself (but sadly the DM I had at the time seemed to actively discourage creativity) but then picked back up and continued to explore and expand on as a DM myself when one of my own players wanted to work up more orc-ish heritage culture for his own half-orc.
So typically the god that most orcs and half-orcs are associated with is Gruumsh the One Eye, the Ruiner, who in most instances aint a good dude. Specifically in my campaign, running in Matt Mercer's world Wildemount, Gruumsh is a Betrayer God and known to be a savage and brutal warmongerer and pillager, the orc and half-orc army under his command is cursed with equal savagery and brutality.
So two of the many brilliant things that Matt Mercer's world allows for are:
1. Races/Species historically considered monstrous or evil are given the opportunity canonically to be free of that villainous heritage
2. While there is a Prime Pantheon he built in and has made PLENTY of room for Quasi and Lesser Deities.

Alot of orcs and half-orcs in Wildemount turn to Kord the Storm Lord as their chosen deity, using his expectations of challenge and strength and sportsmanship as an outlet for the energy and rage thats left behind when breaking from the cursed influence of Gruumsh but I wanted more, "less aggressive" options.
So while exploring a bit about Gruumsh in older editions of D&D and orcs in the Monster Manual I came across little bits and blurbs about his "wife" Luthic. Of course in the info from the Forgotten Realms and older references she didn't have all the best traits but there was surprisingly ALOT of potential to really use Luthic as a benevolent goddess compared to the Ruiner.
Luthic is the orc goddess of home, hearth, family, fertility, wisdom, medicine and caves (and a few other less ideal things but we cherry pick because we can). Her totem is the orc rune for "home" and her animal is the cave bear/bear. She's referred to as "Cave Mother" which is the common deity name I and my player chose to refer to her by (akin to the Wildmother or the Moonweaver). She most associated with the Life and Nature domains. And while Luthic isn't particularly depicted as being soft or kind, her focus is always shifted to being protective of home and hearth, of family and to the health, prosperity and propagation of the family to carry on strong bloodlines.
Those were the biggest themes I decided to run with when it came to those that follow Luthic is their loyalty and protectiveness of their home and family clan, that orcish clans and families that follow Luthic are far more likely to produce Clerics and Paladins than more war-like classes, almost all Luthic followers have knowledge or home training in medicine and fall back of remedies readily.
Arguably Luthic is the reason half-orcs exist at all. One of the “commands” of Luthic is to go, propagate and bring strong young into the world regardless of heritage. A true goddess of fertility, Luthic doesn’t care about the parentage of children as long as they are strong and healthy. Feeding off that I made it a trait of Luthic Orcs to be far more tolerant and accepting of other Races and Species and especially accepting of individuals that are mixed races (wither orc is one of them or not). They are also far more relaxed and willing to seek partners and mates of any gender in other races and species. This makes for A LOT of diversity and mixing of culture as well as racial traits and physical attributes in Luthic Orc clans and families. In my personal campaign this is part of the reason why Luthic Orc clans thrive so well in Xhorhas and under Dynasty rule, where there is a similar mindset concerning mixed race family units and children. (The Kryn and Dynasty canonically embrace and view mixed race pairings and children as blessings and displays of genuine love). So a lot of Luthic Orc clans are made up of half-orcs of a variety of heritages and origins. The strength and bonds built within Luthic Orc clans start very early but they don’t prevent members from scattering to find their own families and places in the world but there is always a desire to eventually return, either for a visit or to knit two family groups into one. All in all this aspect of followers of Luthic make them exceptionally protective of children, their own and any they cross.
While many a villager or adventurer find themselves pleasantly surprised (or outright lucky) to find that some of the best midwives, surgeons, and healers have the surprising origins of being connected to Luthic Orcs or a Luthic Orc clan by some means, worshippers of the Cave Mother are not soft pushovers. A part of Luthic’s mythos and origins was that she was a general and great warrior of Gruumsh’s armies. While they are not the ravagers of the Ruiner’s followers nor the more aggressive tribes that follow the Storm Lord, Luthic devout orcs and half-orcs will without hesitation lay down their lives to defend their families, clans and homes. Often this protective instinct is so strong it extends to the community and/or country an individual orc or half-orc may be from and Luthic Orcs are often exceptionally fierce and revered soldiers and guardians.
Within the campaign a few of the symbols and signs of worship of Luthic that had come up are holy symbols and totems in the form of bear claws or teeth, either left whole or carved with runes or turned into beads and charms used in any form of jewelry or ornamentation. The use of a bear pelt to accentuate or ornament clothing or armor, use of orcish runes (particularly ones meaning “cave”, “bear”, “home” and “family/clan”) are often embroidered, engraved or embossed on clothing, weaponry or armor as subtle ways to display loyalty to the Cave Mother. Simple shrines are made and often adorned with home and hand made carvings or crafts made of bone, clay, wood, stone, anything natural in the shape of a bear or a female/feminine figure representing Luthic herself. Her most holy day is the Winter Solstice and followers of Luthic gather up their families and closest friends and clan members for a long day and night of feasting around comfortable, roaring fires where familial and communal bonds are strengthened and prayers offered up for a healthy and hearty year to come and that any babes born are whole and hale (as in the more “primal” communities of orcs the winter is often considered the “mating season” as war bands and ravagers hole up in caves to ride out the worst of the winter weather).
Keeping actual bears is not common practice as bears are notoriously terrible pets and difficult to fully train and tame, though some Luthic worshippers that find themselves wandering the world as an adventurer do occasionally challenge themselves with raising a bear cub. Though any bear dens found in non-nomadic Luthic Orc territory are considered protected and to be left alone unless the animal proves to be a danger to the clan or community in some way.
NOW that all being said I am only just starting my research into Maori culture and traditions and how I can weave it into Orcish and half-orc culture. The Maori have an extremely rich and deep culture and it has so many unique traditions and aspects. A major part of the Maori culture I intend to borrow from is the use of traditional arts. They include whakairo (carving), raranga (weaving), kapa haka (group performance), whaikōrero (oratory), and tā moko (tattoo). The patterns and characters represented record the beliefs and genealogies (whakapapa) of Māori. Tattoo especially will play in a lot into Luthic worshippers especially for clans in certain regions of (my homebrewed parts and cultures) of Wildemount that will display more diverse and influenced cultural traditions. BUT because I haven’t done all the research I want on that subject yet I will at this point refrain from commenting much further on the use of Maori cultural influence because its really important to me to get it right.
I went off on a bit of a ramble but hopefully this was informative! I’ve had a lot of fun developing this stuff for my campaign, characters and players and am glad to share it!

• 28th Māori Battalion
The 28th (Māori) Battalion, more commonly known as the Māori Battalion, was an infantry battalion of the New Zealand Army that served during the Second World War.
The 28th (Māori) Battalion had its origins before the start of the Second World War. In mid-1939, as war in Europe began to be seen as inevitable, Sir Āpirana Ngata started to discuss proposals for the formation of a military unit made up of Māori volunteers similar to the Māori Pioneer Battalion that had served during the First World War. This proposal was furthered by two Māori MPs, Eruera Tirikatene and Paraire Paikea, and from this support within the Māori community for the idea began to grow as it was seen as an opportunity for Māori to participate as citizens of the British Empire. At first the New Zealand government was hesitant, but on October 4th, the decision was announced that the proposal would be accepted and that the battalion would be raised in addition to the nine battalions and support units that had already been formed into three brigades of the 2nd New Zealand Division. Nevertheless, it was decided that the battalion's key positions, including its officers, non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and signallers, would initially be filled largely by New Zealanders of European descent. This decision was met with some consternation, so assurances were made that over time suitable Māori candidates would take over these positions. In this regard, it was decided that the battalion's first commanding officer would be a regular officer, Major George Dittmer later promoted to lieutenant colonel in January 1940 and that his second-in-command would be a Reserve officer, Lieutenant Colonel George Bertrand, a part-Māori who would take up the position with the rank of major.
Almost immediately effort was focused upon selecting and identifying the officers and NCOs. To this end volunteers were called for among units that had already formed as part of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force (2NZEF) and from new recruits. At the end of November, 146 trainees reported to the Army School at Trentham, where even serving officers and NCOs were required to prove their suitability for positions in the new battalion. Concurrently, recruiting of men to fill the other ranks positions began in early October and within three weeks nearly 900 men had enlisted. The process was carried out by recruiting officers who worked closely with tribal authorities, and the recruits were restricted to single men aged between 21 and 35, although later married men were allowed to join, but only if they did not have more than two children, of similar ages. On January 26th, 1940 the battalion came together for the first time, marking its official raising at the Palmerston North Show Grounds. Upon formation it was decided that the battalion would be organised upon tribal lines. The unit consisted of a headquarters company and four rifle companies, designated 'A' through 'D': 'A' Company (Kamupene ā – Ngā Kiri Kapia – the Gumdiggers) was recruited from the Northland to Auckland ; 'B' Company (Kamupene B – Ngā Ruku Kapa – Penny Divers) from Rotorua, the Bay of Plenty and Thames–Coromandel; 'C' Company (Kamupene C – Ngā kaupoi – The Cowboys) from the East Coast from Gisborne to East Cape and 'D' Company (Ngāti Walkabout) from Waikato, Maniapoto, Hawkes Bay, Wellington and the South Island, as well as some Pacific Islands and the Chatham and Stewart Islands.
February saw the issuing of equipment and the commencement of training; punctuated by medical inspections and dental treatment as well as ceremonial duties. A lack of previous experience in technical trades also hampered the battalion's training, as the unit was short of men who were able to serve in roles such as clerks, drivers and signallers – most personnel were drawn from mainly rural backgrounds. Consequently, candidates for these roles had to be trained from scratch. The organisation of the battalion was finally completed in March, when the men were allocated to their respective companies, and on March 13th, 1940 the 28th (Māori) Battalion was declared on active service. After 14 days leave, the battalion conducted a five-week concentration period before embarking on May 1th, 1940. The battalion's strength at this time was 39 officers and 642 other ranks. Sailing upon the Aquitania via Fremantle and Cape Town, the battalion arrived at Gourock, Scotland, after six weeks at sea. Initially they had been destined to join the rest of the 2nd New Zealand Division in the Middle East, but due to concerns about a possible invasion of the United Kingdom by the German Wehrmacht, the decision was made to divert the division's second echelon, a brigade-sized force that included the 28th (Māori) Battalion, to Britain to help bolster the island's defences. In late June or early July 1940 the 28th (Māori) Battalion was attached to a mixed brigade under Brigadier Harold Barrowclough. During this time they manned defences in the south of England and undertook further training. The battalion suffered from a lack of equipment, largely due to the priority given to re-equip British units following the losses suffered by the British Expeditionary Force in France, and consequently training was largely focused upon anti-gas procedures and route marching. On July 6th they were inspected by King George VI and he was said to have been impressed by the "smartness of the close order and arms drill of the Māori Battalion" and "by the fine physique, keenness and determined demeanour" of the men.
Shortly afterwards the Mixed Brigade began quick deployment and defensive manoeuvres in earnest, as fears of invasion grew. In between exercises, further training was undertaken and the battalion also worked to improve fixed defences throughout July, August and into September. In September, a divisional review was undertaken and amidst massive German air raids upon London, the New Zealanders were declared to be ready for front-line service in the event of a German landing. Warning orders for deployment to Egypt were cancelled and the New Zealanders were placed under command of XII Corps, taking up defensive positions in the Folkestone–Dover region. In October, the Māori Battalion was attached to "Milforce", under Dittmer's command, along with a squadron of tanks, a squadron of cavalry and a medium machine gun company. Later in the month, the battalion received the order to begin preparing for redeployment to Egypt and an advance party was dispatched in mid-December. On January 7th, 1941 the rest of the battalion left for the Middle East. After sailing via Freetown, Cape Town and Durban, the Athlone Castle sailed up the east coast of Africa and entered the Suez Canal, arriving at Tewfik harbour on March 3rd, 1941. In the afternoon the battalion entrained and two days later they arrived in the desert, where they were met by motor transport which carried them to camp Garawi, about 20 miles (32 km) from Cairo. At this point they were met by about 300 reinforcements which were used to replace men who had been laid down with influenza and to bring the battalion up to a higher establishment. Shortly afterwards they were moved to Alexandria, where they embarked on the Cameronia, bound for Greece.
On April 6th the German invasion of Greece and Yugoslavia began. In order to help defend Greece, a composite force of three divisions of Australian, British and New Zealand troops were to be deployed, and were grouped together under the title of 'W' Force. However, by the time the invasion began only two of the three divisions had arrived, and the New Zealanders were consequently spread thin, holding a position to the north of Katerini, where they were tasked to defend the strategic Olympus Pass to the south. During this time, the 28th (Māori) Battalion was attached to the 5th Infantry Brigade, which was later grouped with other Australian and New Zealand units to form the Anzac Corps. Vastly outnumbered, within two days the situation for the Allies was not good as the Germans had broken through the defences along the Bulgarian border and the Yugoslav resistance had collapsed. As the situation worsened, orders came down from brigade headquarters that the passes would be held "to the last man and last round".
On April 9th, the fall of Salonika precipitated the order for the battalion to withdraw from their positions at Katerini south to Olympus. As events unfolded elsewhere, the battalion remained in position, digging in and constructing defences until April 12th when they were ordered to withdraw behind the Mavroneri Gorge and reposition themselves on the western aspect. At this time the 5th Infantry Brigade's orders were changed from a holding action to a delay and withdrawal. It was in the Petra Pass, alongside the 22nd Battalion, that the 28th Battalion fought its first engagement of the war. In preparation for the coming attack, the Māori built their position, running out barbed and concertina wire and digging in while German bombers droned overhead. As German forces were halted at Platamon by the 21st Battalion, thrusts towards Larisa once again put the battalion's position in doubt and they were again ordered to withdraw. In the end the Māori remained in position until April 17th. Throughout the previous two days the battalion worked hard to repel repeated attempts by elements of the German 2nd Infantry Regiment to infiltrate their lines, before they finally received the order to fall back. Withdrawing over difficult terrain towards the pass, the manoeuvre continued into the night as the Germans continued to harass their rearguard units. The move was carried out with considerable urgency because the intention was to blow a bridge up just after the battalion had withdrawn across it in order to delay the German advance. In the end the battalion only just made it. After meeting motor transport, the battalion moved back to Ay Dhimitrios, which they began to prepare to defend in order to help seal off the exit of the Olympus pass. The withdrawal continued, though, and on April 19th the Māori Battalion was called upon to conduct a delaying action as the rest of the 5th Infantry Brigade pulled back through Larisa towards Lamia, 80 miles (130 km) south. Here they took up position in a marsh and as they made preparations for its defence, on April 22nd, in Athens, the decision was made that the units of the British Commonwealth forces would be withdrawn from the country.
Over the course of the next two days, the battalion withdrew towards Athens, where they arrived in the early morning on April 24th. They continued on to the beach at Porto Rafti, destroying their vehicles and other equipment as they went. In the confusion of orders and counter orders, the battalion's carrier and mortar platoons had gotten separated from the rest of the unit. By 9:00 pm on April 24th when the final move to the beach commenced they still had not arrived. Of the various groups that had become detached from the battalion, some were able to make their own way to the embarkation beaches, but a number of them were ultimately captured. The battalion's casualties in Greece were 10 killed or died of wounds, six wounded, 83 captured, 11 wounded and captured. After being evacuated from Greece, the Māori Battalion embarked upon the landing ship, infantry HMS Glengyle and was taken to Crete where they formed part of the island's hastily formed garrison. On May 20th, 1941, the Germans launched the opening stages of their campaign with large-scale glider and parachute drops of troops from Maleme to Canea. The landings were focused around the airfield and no troops landed in the area being held by the Māori, nevertheless, a small force of glider troops were found to be occupying a house on the beach about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) from them. A platoon was dispatched to attack them and after a brief fire-fight in which two New Zealanders were wounded and eight Germans were killed, the 10 remaining men in the house surrendered. The main German attack was focused upon the 22nd Battalion which was defending the airfield. Hard pressed, late in the day the 22nd requested reinforcements and the 5th Infantry Brigade commander, Brigadier J. Hargest, sent one company from the 23rd and one from the 28th. The task was given to 'B' Company and, as the company commander only knew the direct route, they had a night approach march of over 8 miles (13 km) to cover. During the march they came in contact with a platoon-sized force of Germans which briefly held up the company before reinforcements could arrive.
The German force surrendered, but in doing so one of their number threw a grenade at the New Zealanders, wounding two men. In response the Māori fixed bayonets and carried out the first bayonet charge by a New Zealand force during the war, killing 24. A short while later they killed another eight in a separate engagement. Continuing on towards the 22nd Battalion, they bumped into a number of small pockets of Germans before eventually linking up with the 22nd Battalion's headquarters where they were told to return to their own lines as the decision had been made to withdraw. Eleven hours later the company reported back to the 28th Battalion's lines. Over the course of the next ten days the battalion was involved in a series of engagements as they fought to defend the island, with the most notable probably being the bayonet charge that they undertook with the Australian 2/7th Battalion at 42nd Street on May 27th, in which 280 Germans were killed, with the Māori accounting for 100. However, it soon became clear that the garrison on Crete would need to be evacuated and on 28 May the bulk of Creforce began to disengage the Germans and begin the retreat towards Sfakia. The 5th Infantry Brigade took turns with two Australian battalions and the commandos of Layforce to carry out a rearguard action to guard the pass through which the troops had to traverse in order to escape. On May 30th, the final order was received, although due to shipping losses it was not possible to evacuate everyone. In order to maintain fairness, each battalion was allotted a certain number of men who would have to remain and defend the embarkation beaches to allow the others to get away. The 28th Battalion was allocated 230 men to embark, while six officers and 144 men would have to stay behind. A large number of men volunteered to remain, and at midnight the remainder headed down to the beach and were taken off on a landing ship two hours later. The battalion suffered 243 casualties during the brief defence of the island, including 74 men killed and 102 men wounded.
After their escape from Crete, the 28th (Māori) Battalion was evacuated to Egypt where they were re-issued with summer uniforms and began to receive reinforcements. In June they carried out a ceremonial parade for King George VI and the Queen, and the commander of the 2nd New Zealand Division, Lieutenant General Bernard Freyberg. Throughout July, the battalion undertook desert familiarisation training before moving to Kabrit where they concentrated with the rest of the 5th Infantry Brigade for a three-week combined operations exercise. Later, in August, they moved to a position 20 miles (32 km) west of El Alamein, known as the "Kaponga Box" where throughout September and into October they undertook the unfamiliar task of road construction. In October, the brigade received orders to link up with the rest of the division in preparation for their commitment to the battle along the frontier. Their first task was to capture the seaside town of Sollum, which was taken on 23 November from its Italian garrison with only a few casualties. Follow-up artillery inflicted 18 killed and 33 wounded. Two hundred and forty-seven Italian prisoners were taken. Following this, the 5th Infantry Brigade was placed under the command of the 4th Indian Division and the 28th Battalion took up positions near Bardia. Three days later the battalion attacked a column of tanks and motorised infantry before ambushing a column at Menastir on 3 December. Later, notable actions were undertaken at Gazala and at Sidi Magreb where over 1,000 Italians prisoners were captured. Following this, the battalion was deployed to Syria before returning to Egypt in June 1942. Now officially under the command of a Māori for the first time Lieutenant Colonel Eruera Love.the Māori took part in the 2nd New Zealand Division's breakout from Minqar Qaim, undertaking a successful bayonet charge. At this time, the battalion's skills with the bayonet earned them a reputation as "scalp hunters" among German commanders, including Rommel. In September and October the battalion took part in important actions as part of the offensive in the Munassib Depression and at Miteiriya Ridge during the Second Battle of El Alamein. In November the battalion supported the final breakthrough by Allied forces that decided the outcome of the battle. Nevertheless, the battalion remained in the fighting and in March 1943, at Medenine it undertook a defensive role before switching to the offensive at Point 209 in the Tebaga Gap, where it was responsible for almost completely destroying a German panzer grenadier battalion. Two weeks later, on the night April 20th, 1943, the battalion took part in the 5th Infantry Brigade's attack on the Tunisian village of Takrouna. The village was situated atop a steep slope, and the attack stalled due to heavy concentrations of indirect fire and landmines, which wounded a number of men. The battalion returned to Egypt with the 5th Infantry Brigade in late-May and underwent a period of refit and retraining, during which the bulk of the original unit was given three months leave and returned to New Zealand.
Having taken no part in the Allied invasion of Sicily in July August, the 2nd New Zealand Division was committed to battle again in late 1943 as part of Eighth Army during the Italian Campaign. The Māori Battalion subsequently arrived in Italy on October 22nd, landing at Taranto. 5th Infantry Brigade undertook a period of training in close-country tactics, remaining in camp at Taranto until 18 November when it was ordered to move north 250 miles (400 km) to join the Eighth Army. The 2nd New Zealand Division had moved into the front line in November in order to relieve the 8th Indian Division and would take part in the advance across the Sangro planned for the end of the month. The brigade subsequently occupied positions around Atessa, with the Māori Battalion in brigade reserve, occupying a series of low hills which formed the Sangro river valley. During December the 2nd New Zealand Division took part in the Moro River Campaign. By this time the attacking battalions had exploited forward towards the Winter Line and the Māori Battalion moved forward by truck on December 1st, crossing the Sangro. Heavy congestion on the road delayed the battalion's movements, and although scheduled to assault towards Elici, they arrived to find the 23rd Battalion and the Division Cavalry had already completed the task. The Māori were again ordered into reserve, occupying positions 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Castelfrentano. As part of the Fifth Army's advance up the Liri valley, the Māori Battalion's next major engagement came in early 1944 when they took part in the fighting around Monte Cassino. The position at Cassino was dominated by an historic Benedictine monastery. Throughout January the Allies continued their advance, but as they were checked by the German positions at Cassino the advance stalled. They met very stiff resistance, and although they managed to reach the railway station they were unable to wrest control of it from its defenders. Lacking armoured support, which had failed to arrive, they fought through the morning and into the afternoon, but when their position was assaulted by two German tanks they were forced to withdraw. In March they were again involved in fighting around Cassino, however, it was not until May that the position was eventually captured, by which time the New Zealanders had been withdrawn from the line, and transferred back to the Eighth Army.
In April 1945 the battalion returned to the front line to take part in the final stages of the war. On April 1th, the battalion entered the line near Granarolo along with the rest of the 5th Infantry Brigade and for the next month they were involved in five main battles along the Senio, Santerno, Sillaro, Gaiana and Idice rivers as the Allies pursued the Germans back towards Trieste. It was in Trieste that the Māori Battalion's war came to an end. Their involvement in the final stages of the fighting in Italy had cost them 25 killed and 117 wounded, while losses for the entire Italian campaign were 230 men killed, and 887 wounded. On May 2nd, 1945 news was received that all German forces west of the Isonzo River had surrendered. While this did not officially end the fighting in Italy, it was all but over. Five days later, on the night of May 7th, the battalion received the news that Germany had surrendered unconditionally to the Allies, and that the war in Europe was over. Nevertheless, tensions remained high and concerns about the intentions of Yugoslavia regarding the disputed province of Istria meant that the 28th (Māori) Battalion remained on high alert. This continued until early June when an agreement was reached and Yugoslavia withdrew its troops east of the Isonzo River. Following this the routine of the battalion became more settled. Afterwards, preparations began for the battalion's return to New Zealand. The war with Japan continued however, and at the time it was believed that the Māori would take part in further operations in the Pacific. New Zealand policy at the time was that long serving men were to be repatriated and their places taken by men with less time in service. In this regard, commencing in late May, drafts of men departed in the order of their arrival at the battalion. On 15 August 1945 news was received of Japan's unconditional surrender, ending plans for the battalion to take part in further combat in the Pacific. In September it was decided that as part of the departure of New Zealand troops from the theatre, memorial services would be held at the locations of the division's major battles. The last batch of long service men had departed shortly after the battalion's arrival at Lake Trasimene.
Throughout the course of the war, 3,600 men served in the battalion. Of these, 649 were killed or died of wounds while another 1,712 were wounded. Another 29 died as a result of service following discharge, while two were killed by accident during training in New Zealand. The Māori Battalion's service against the Germans in North Africa earned them a distinguished reputation. Such was the respect that Allied commanders had for the Māori Battalion that they were frequently used as a spearhead unit. Bernard Freyberg, the General Officer Commanding of the 2NZEF, commented, "No infantry had a more distinguished record, or saw more fighting, or, alas, had such heavy casualties, as the Maori Battalion." The battalion's reputation was also acknowledged by their opponents. Some sources state that the Afrika Korps commander, Erwin Rommel remarked,"Give me the Maori Battalion and I will conquer the world".

Sexstasy - Jeon Jungkook
Tumblr media
pairings: yandere!fratboy!jungkook x reader, minor fratboy!seokjin x reader
word count: 4.3k
summary: On the outside, you didn’t like Jeon Jungkook and he didn’t like you. But what you both really wanted deep down, was each other. By the time you found out how insane Jungkook really was, and how wanting him was maybe a mistake, it might’ve been a little late.
warnings: cussing, oral(f.receiving), fingering, nipple play, oppa kink (oops), mild violence, yandere behavior, alcohol, drug usage
a/n: ok so my FIRST time writing smut and my longest imagine yet! I worked really really hard on this, I hope whoever read this ends up liking it :) If you liked this, then feel free to also check out my other works. Also I LITERALLY have no idea about drugs lol. Also Sexstasty is originally from what I’ve read a combination of ecstasy and viagra and is used by men, but in the fic I switched it up a bit ok bye. Feedback and criticism of any kind is always appreciated <3

The party was already in full swing by the time you and Y/f/n stepped in the frat house. Alpha Kapa Si had successfully sponsored five events under the biology sector in a month, creating yet again, a new record. And this of course, called for a celebration. The house was dimly lit, fairy lights hanging at almost every door. As you expected, Drake was blasting through the speakers at the highest possible volume and every student looked like they were having the time of their life.
“Come on, let’s go find Hoseok!” Y/f/n screamed over the loud music, her hand slipping into yours as she pulled you through the crowd. Both of you made your way to through the sweaty bodies and found Hoseok in the kitchen with Seokjin, refilling their red solo cups.
“Hoseok!”
His face whipped around as his eyes landed on Y/f/n. A big grin stretched across his face as he made his way towards her and enveloped her in a hug, squeezing her too tight in your opinion. He pulled away and looked at you, a smile still evident on his face.
“Hi Y/n”
“Hi Hobi.” He gave you a side hug and then out of the blue moon, started squealing.
“We’re going to party so fucking hard tonight baby!” He jumped like a child who had received candy before dinner and Y/f/n joined him. You shook your head at their silliness and but couldn’t stop the smile that broke out on your face. They were both literal embodiment of sunshine, always happy and cheery, brightening up everyone’s day. So it was no surprise to you when you got a call from Y/f/n in the middle of the night, shouting from too much excitement after Hoseok had asked her out. Of course this meant that you were going to be introduced to Hoseok’s friends and maybe, become friends with them.
To say that they were famous in the university would frankly be an understatement.
Kim Namjoon, doing his PHD in psychology, became President of Alpha Kapa Si last year which was genuinely expected by 95% of the college. With an IQ of 148, he was a born genius. Excelled in not only academics but extracurricular activities as well. He was your kind of guy, minded his own business and had the cleanest reputation out of the 7 boys.
Min Yoongi, pursuing music, honestly looked the most intimidating to you. All the times you had seen him in corridors or in the one class you shared with him, he always had a frown etched upon his face and would cuss out anyone who would cross his way. He was terrifying and you tried to stay as far away from him as possible.
Jung Hoseok, he probably was the happiest human you’d ever come across. Doing his course in MBA, he was ready to take over the family business as soon as he was done with Uni. But that was something he was being forced to do, his heart was in dancing. Also the President of the dance club, Hoseok was pretty much the female version of Y/f/n.
Kim Seokjin, completing his degree in theater arts and animation, was next to Namjoon in terms of being the most sane. He had a little crazy in him too but just the right amount. Being around him made you nervous for some reason, the tension was always thick in the air whenever you two were in the same room. Y/f/n always suggested that you both could ‘fuck that tension out’ to which you always responded with a smack across her head.
Park Jimin, ethereal face, every girl wanted to sit on that dick and most of them actually already had. Being a contemporary dancer, he had probably one of the most beautiful bodies you’d ever seen.Through all the attention he got, he remained humble somehow. You gelled well with him shockingly, to this day you don’t know why.
Kim Taehyung, also known as the Prince of art around the college. He was artistic in every way possible and his passion for painting was unbeatable. With extremely striking features and the sweetest voice, he made girls and even guys swoon. But he was too in love with his long time girlfriend Hwasa to notice any of that.
Lastly, Jeon fucking Jungkook. In the four months that Y/f/n and Hoseok had dated, you had not once interacted with Jungkook properly. His gaze always made you feel uncomfortable, something about him just seemed off. He also never missed a chance to get on your nerves, often stimulating your triggers and making you feel more conscious about yourself than you already were. The worst part was, both of you were in the same photography major, meaning you shared almost all the classes. He was the most infamous out of the 7, often got into fights and had been suspended way too many times. You resented Jeon Jungkook.
“Aren’t they the cutest?” You turned around at the voice.
Seokjin was standing next you and was looking at Y/f/n and Hoseok as they made their way to the middle of the house, probably to dance. He handed you a cup which you greatfully accepted, the finals had you too stressed and you were in desperate need of chilling the fuck out.
“Yeah they are.” You said putting the cup to your lips, chugging down the sweet taste of the punch.
You could feel Seokjin’s stare burning holes in the side of your head. Usually, you would play it off or ignore it, but with the alcohol in your system, you were girl with a mission, a mission to ‘fuck the tension out’.
You turn towards Seokjin and raise your eyebrows, “What? Something on my face?”
Seokjin turned red and averted his eyes to the ground, you chuckled and moved closer to him. His eyes widened a little as you closed the gap between you both, your chests almost touching. You bring the cup to your face and tilt it towards him, “Refill for me please?”
Seokjin shuddered and nodded, taking the cup from your hand and walked towards the kitchen, his pace a little too fast in your opinion. You giggled and shook your head, leaning against the wall. This was so unlike you. You weren’t a typical nerd, sure you kept to yourself and didn’t really stick your nose in other’s business, but that doesn’t mean that your head was always in books. You had your fair share of fun too.
“Ahem.”
“Y/f/n don’t”
She raised her hands in the air, a cheeky glint in her eyes as she trudged towards you, “I’m just saying, maybe it’s time for you guys to just fuck and get over with it.”
You rolled your head to the side and looked at her, a lazy smile forming on your face, “Maybe it is.”
Her eyes almost bulged out of their sockets as she chocked on her drink. A loud laugh escaped past your lips as you patted her back, helping her calm down.
“Who are you and what have you done to Y/N?”
“Just” You paused for a second, “Wanna let loose tonight.”
“Girl, you do you.” She grinned, “But Y/n, you don’t have to do something you don’t want to.” Her serious tone made you smile warmly at her, you were so lucky to have a friend as caring and loving as Y/f/n.
“I’ll be okay babe.” You squeezed her shoulder in reassurance.
“Am I interrupting you ladies?” Seokjin’s voice pulled you both out of your little stance.
“No no, not all all.” Y/f/n beamed, a playful smile on her face.
“Your drink” Seokjin said as he passed you the refilled cup. You thanked him quietly and turned to look at Y/f/n, raising your brows, silently asking her to leave. She smirked in return and looked at Seokjin, “I’m going to go, she’s all yours Jin.” Her right eye dropped in a wink.
Jungkook had been distracted by you all night. (a/n: Don’t consider the locket) Hell, you’re the only thing he had been watching all night. You looked marvelous in that mini skirt and crop top even though you showed too much skin according to him. He was so used to seeing you in jumpers and jeans that tonight, you just blew his mind dressed up like that.
To put it simply, Jungkook was infatuated by you. From your bambi eyes to your chubby cheeks, everything about you was mesmerizing to him. It was not only your adorable little habits that pulled him in, it was actually the fact that you were one of the sweetest humans alive, too kind and nice to everyone. You worked hard and never backed down from a challenge, that was something he admired about you.
When you distanced yourself from him as soon as you and Y/f/n started hanging out with their circle, he was hurt. He had expected you to be shy at first given his reputation but he had not expected you to completely pretend as if he didn’t exist. He knew there was something between you and Seokjin, he could see it clearly. It angered him how well you got along with Jimin and not him, it made him upset to watch you laugh carelessly with his friends in front of his own eyes. So he took his anger out on you. Even if you were pissed at something he said, he would be happy that you’d at least respond to him.
He’d been watching you again when you leaned against the wall and stood a little too close to Seokjin. Your cheeks were red, movements a little slow, of fucking course, you were drunk.
“Did you see Y/n tonight? Holy shit who knew there was all that underneath those baggy clothes.” He snapped out of his thoughts at the voice, turning to look at a couple of guys from the basketball team, snickering while smoking a joint in the corner.
“Look at that skirt, would love to rip it apart and eat that ass out.”
In the next second, all Jungkook could see was red. He marched towards the group of boys, picked one of them by his collar and threw him against the wall. The boy yelped in pain as the others backed up, everyone was aware of Jungkook’s anger and it was advised to not get on his bad side.
Jungkook threw a punch to his jaw and then grabbed him by his throat, pushing him back against the wall and leaned down to his ear, “You better not talk about Y/n ever again. You better not look at Y/n ever again or I will fucking bash your skull, you get me?”
He could only whimper in response as Jungkook was pulled away by Namjoon and Jimin. By now, the music had been lowered down and everyone was witnessing Jungkook’s yet another brawl unfold.
“What? Move!” He shouted as the music was again set at a higher volume and people scattered quickly, too afraid of Jungkook. He pried off Namjoon and Jimin’s hands off him and turned around to look back at where you were standing but was met with an empty spot. He groaned and pushed past people swiftly to find you.
You were just making small talk with Seokjin when you heard the commotion. You didn’t even have to go over to see what was happening, you already knew it was Jungkook. Seokjin titled his head in confusion as you sighed before placing your drink on the table beside you and grabbed his head, pulling him through the crowd that had gathered in the living room.
“I’m assuming it’s Jungkook.” You say in a whisper as both of you reach the living room. Your assumption was confirmed when your eyes fell on a very angry Jungkook holding up a boy against the wall, his hand clasped around his throat. The neck in his veins were protruding, his skin flaming red. The words that came out of his mouth not only shocked you but pretty much everyone present there.
“You better not talk about Y/n ever again. You better not look at Y/n ever again or I will fucking bash your skull, you get me?”
You froze as you digested his words, mind going blank for a second as a shiver ran down your spine. Few people around you turned to look at you, disgusted expressions visible on their faces. Of course, Jeon Jungkook can’t go for someone like Y/n Y/l/n.
And then, you ran. You ran up the stairs as fast as you could, Seokjin trailing behind hot on your heels. You could hear Jungkook shout in distance as you slammed open the door of the first room that you could reach and immediately locked yourself in the bathroom.
“Y/n? Y/n?!” Seokjin’s knocking on the door was fast and sharp.
You splashed some water across your face and closed your eyes. You took deep breaths, trying to calm yourself down. You didn’t know why you were reacting like this, maybe it was because you found Jeon Jungkook really fucking hot, or maybe because you had hots for him since the day your eyes fell on him even if he was an asshole to you. Maybe it was because your body reacted to him in a way you didn’t want it too. Maybe because you wanted him.
You contemplated for a minute so as to what to say to Seokjin. There was something between the two of you for sure, you just couldn’t put your finger on what it exactly was. You opened the door to reveal Seokjin sitting on the edge of the bed, looking down at his feet. His face immediately shot up at the noise of the bathroom door opening. Both of you remained silent for a second, just staring at each other. You broke the silence.
“So Jin” You began as you walked closer to him, “You wanna fuck?”
Seokjin chocked on his spit as you straddled him, your hands resting on his shoulders to support yourself. You had never called him Jin and he had never ever imagined that would you be this blunt. His hands naturally landed on your waist as a blush spread across his face.
“We don’t have to do this Y/n, are you sure?”
“Yes Jin, I’m very fucking sure.”
“But you’re drunk”
“And I also want you to make me feel good Jin.” You bent down and slightly grazed his earlobe with your teeth, your hot breath fanning his skin. He sucked in a deep breath and before you could process it, his mouth was on yours, moving fiercely. Your hands fisted his t-shirt as his arms circled around your waist and pulled you closer. Your tongues explored each others mouth, all hot and messy but soft at the same time. Without giving much thought to it, you started grinding on Jin. Both of you let out loud moans at the friction created, your heads being thrown back as your hips worked against each other.
Jungkook walked upstairs to look for you but stopped dead in his tracks when he heard moans coming out of his room. He grumbled to himself about locking his door from the next time and slammed it open to kick out the horny teenagers from his room when his eyes fall upon sight that made his blood boil and mind fog with anger.
You were sat in Seokjin’s lap, your lips interlocked with his as your hips rolled against his crotch. You jumped at the noise of the door hitting the wall and turned around to see Jungkook standing at the door, fuming and looking like he was ready to murder anyone that came in his way. Your eyes were practically hanging from their sockets as you tried to catch your breath from the heavy makeout session you just had with Jin. Your gaze met Jungkook’s and you knew, whatever was going to happen, it was not going to be good.
“Jungko-”
“You have 5 seconds to get the fuck out Jin. I’ll deal with you later.”
It was so silent in the room that you could feel the beads of sweat rolling down from your hairline to your neck. Jin gently pushed you off him and placed you on the bed and made his way to the door quietly. He turned to look at you one last time before leaving, his eyes practically sympathizing with you. He closed the door behind him, the noise echoing in the room.
Jungkook stood frozen on his spot as you your heart ran hundred miles per second. He then walked towards the dresser and shuffled around it for a minute before walking towards you with what looked like a bottle of water.
“Drink up.”
You gulped as you took the bottle from his hands, your fingertips touching, the simple action causing you to quiver. You took a few sips before placing it on the side table beside the bed. All this time, Jungkook stood leaning against his study table and watched your every move.
“Quite a bold move you know, making out with one of my friends in my own room, on my own fucking bed.” His tone was cocky, a little smirk on his face as you looked up, parting your lips to reply but no coherent response coming out.
“I... Jungkook..I”
“Y/n” You could feel his voice coming closer.
Then it happened. You felt a sudden rush in your body, senses becoming extremely strong. Every part of your body became sensitive and you got slightly dizzy, your panties suddenly dampening as there was a sudden rush to your southern region. A soft whimper escaped past your lips as you gripped the bedsheet underneath you.
“W-What is h-happ-ening to m-me?”
Jungkook released a chuckle as he bent down to your level, his hands taking a hold of your waist to keep you steady.
“My sweet girl, don’t you know you’ve been mine since the beginning?”
Want and need were now flowing in your body like blood, the need to release this built up tension had become even worse. It was as if that Jungkook’s words only amplified this, causing you to squeeze your thighs together.
“Uh hu my sweet girl, you shouldn’t do that.” He punctuated his words with his hands parting your knees, the smell of your arousal almost intoxicating him.
“Wha-at did y-you do t-to me?” You muttered out through the frantic spread of pleasure in your body.
Jungkook let out a boisterous laugh and then proceeded to tuck his head in your neck. His tongue made contact with your skin as he licked a long swipe until the base of your ear.
“Sexstasy.” His voice came out in a whisper.
“Huh?”
“One pill of Ecstasy mixed with some other drugs that will keep you turned on for at least 2 hours.”
You felt your breath catch in your throat, “H-how-w?”
He lightly traced your earlobe with his lips, occasionally placing a few kisses in the way, “The water you drank.”
With every passing moment, it was becoming unbearable for you to even sit.
“Jungkook.” You whined, your hands clutched his shoulders as you moved forward to press your front against his. Jungkook hissed, his hands moving to unzip the front zipper of your crop top and then took a place on your inner thighs.
“What is it baby?”
“Please”
“Please what?” His fingers made light circles on your skin.
“Please help me Oppa.”
Jungkook’s movements haltered, ragged breaths escaping his lips. His mind went blank for a minute at your words, wondering why did he take so long to have his way with you.
“What did you just say Y/n?”
“I want you to help me Oppa, it hurts.” You moaned as his fingers traced your slit over your panties, the touch making you tremble.
“Yeah? Be a nice girl for Oppa and lay down baby.”
You obliged immediately and fell back on the bed, your legs spread open for Jungkook at the edge of the bed. Never in a million years did you think that you would find yourself in a situation like this. But with the drug and alcohol in your system, all you wanted was Jungkook to eat you out like there was no tomorrow.
His hands pushed up your skirt, causing it to bunch up at your waist. His fingers hooked in the sides on your underwear before pulling it down in a swift motion.
Jungkook couldn’t believe his eyes, his dreams were finally coming true. You were laid out on the bed, a beautiful flush spreading across your chest. Your pussy was so pretty and pink, clenching around nothing, only because of him. He used a finger and moved it up and down your slit which resulted in you letting out a loud moan, your eyes screwing shut. He stood up from the floor and hovered over you, his fingers moving away causing you to open your eyes. He straddled you, making sure to not put all of his weight on you. His hands grabbed your crop top and pushed it upwards, causing your bare breasts to be revealed. He sucked in a breath at the sight, your tits looking more appetizing that any meal he had ever had.
“Look at you, you dirty girl, no bra huh?” He mumbled as his hands cupped your boobs, taking the nipple in between his fingertips and pinching it. You threw your head back, your eyes rolling to the back of your head.
“Jungkook” His name fell out from your mouth in a whimper as your eyes met his’s. His eyes darkened as he suddenly bent down and took your right nipple in his mouth, sucking gently. His other hand kept toying with your left nipple as the only sound heard in the room were your moans. His fingertips trail across your stomach and go lower as his lips place soft kisses against your chest and move upwards towards neck.
He spreaded your arousal on your pussy lips with his index and middle finger as you arched into his hold and mewled, your mind blocked with too many sensations and pleasure.
You screamed as he plunged his fingers inside you without a warning, your knuckles turning white as you clasp the sheets in your hands, the need to hold something becoming stronger.
“So fucking tight baby girl, and so wet and warm. All ready for Oppa huh?”
In the next second, you felt Jungkook’s lips on yours. His lips molded with yours perfectly, tongue massaging against yours as his fingers maintained a steady rhythm. His other hand held the back of your head as the kiss became extremely hot and searing. You could feel him get hard against your thighs, so you moved your hand to palm him.
He pulled away and grabbed your hand that was trying to reach for his crotch and placed it beside your head.
“It’s about you baby.” His words make you more red than you already were, if that was possible. He smirked and bent down on the floor again, your pussy right in front of his eyes. He watched his finger go and in and out, the action almost mesmerizing to him. The squelching sounds of your pussy could be heard throughout the room as he latched his mouth to your clit, earning a loud cry from you. He moaned against you, the vibrations maximizing the pleasure that was coursing through your veins.
Your hands interlocked in his hair as you moaned out his name. Jungkook devoured you like you were the most delicious thing he had ever tasted. He pulled away for a second, “Tastes so sweet baby, just like you.”
You looked down at him through half lidded eyes and he smiled in return. Your right hand came up to play with your nipples as you whimper again, “Please make me cum Oppa.”
He growled as fingers gained speed, his mouth sucking on your clit again. Both of you never broke the eye contact as his fingers finally touched the spongy spot inside of you that made you choke on your breath, tears welling up in the corner of your eyes.
A wicked grin took over Jungkook’s lips, “There baby?”
You frantically nodded as Jungkook assualted that spot repeatedly with his fingers. Your fingers tightened in black locks as you pulled him up in a passionate kiss, your cries and whimpers dying in his mouth.
“Do you think Jin could make you feel like this jagi? Do you think he could fuck you this good with his fingers?”
His lips ghosted over yours as tears started streaming down your face.
“No, N-no Oppa”
He could feel your walls tightening around his fingers as you pulled away from the kiss, your breathing erratic.
“You’re gonna cum for me baby? Milk Oppa’s fingers huh?”
You stumbled upon your words as your body shuddered, an ear-splitting scream came out of your mouth. You vision went blank as you tuned out from the rest of the world for a minute, the intensity of your orgasm too much for you. Jungkook slowed down the movement of his fingers, helping you coax out of your orgasm. He cleaned up your juices with his tongue as you squirmed, too sensitive at the moment.
Jungkook took in your post orgasm beauty. Your hair was messy, hickeys littered over your chest, lips red and swollen, cheeks tear stained. He cooed at the sight, you looked heavenly.
You opened your eyes and saw Jungkook standing in front of you. His gaze met yours as he licked his fingers clean, a blush spreading across your cheeks at the action. His eyes were still dark, an evil glint in them.
“You’re mine jagi, and I don’t like sharing what’s mine.”
He bent down and whispered in your ear, “The next time you do something like this, I will fuck you in front of everyone to show you that you belong to me and only me.”
You gulped.
What the fuck had you gotten yourself into?

Hi! Can I ask you something? Since you know your way around te reo Māori and German, am I right in assuming that the vowels are pronounced very much the same way in both languages? (With the exception that te reo is actually so kind as to let you know if vowel is short or long.) Is it the same with the consonants, do you know?
I really don’t feel like vowels are pronounced similarly in te reo and German as a rule - for starters, in German combining vowels can produce quite different sounds. ‘Diese’ in German has an “ee” sound in the middle, but “tieke” in Māori is pronounced like this. And there’s definitely major differences in the consonants, such as “w” (same as the English ‘w’ in Māori) and “t”, pronounced in Māori more like “d” in German. Not to mention the Māori-specific consonants “wh” and “ng”, which don’t really exist in German. There’s some similarities, like both languages voicing a final “e” (as in both words above) in a way English usually doesn’t, but the way they voice it is different.
My best advice for getting a sense of Māori prononciation is going to the Māori Dictionary website and listening to a few words - this one will give you all the vowels in one go - or you can listen to all the vowels and consonants separately at the Te Taura Whiri website. For extended use of te reo, you could watch some of the performances from last year’s national kapa haka championships.

Avoid crossing a river at high water level (recognisable e.g. by the muddy colour and flowing objects) if you do not feel 100% safe. Return or wait until the water level drops - this can happen quite quickly. Keep your boots on, minimise the water resistance of your clothing in the current. New zealand history
This boost to Hongis weapons arsenal not only changed the balance of power in the north of New Zealand's North Island. Although some warriors of the Ngapuhi tribe were armed with muskets, they were overrun and defeated by fighters of the Ngati Whatua with traditional hand weapons. The trigger was probably the defeat of the Battle of Moremonui in 1807 or 1808 under the leadership of Hongi Hika. Maori Hongi Hika, chief of the Ngapuhi tribe, visits England together with Thomas Kendall and meets King George IV, receiving numerous gifts. December 1814 Marsden sailed with the brig Active towards the Bay of Islands and celebrated his first Christian mass just one day later. Although in recent times land has been reclaimed from the sea, the old coastline is clearly visible as the land slopes down conspicuously. Captain Cook was commissioned by the British Crown in 1768 to travel the South Pacific in order to discover new land or even a new continent. In October 1769, Cook did indeed reach new land, even if only a small one. It was known that the Dane Bering had already searched there in 1728, although without details. He turned again towards New Zealand, which he reached on 21.
Although the present Maori culture was preceded by an older Maori culture.
