#Mailtime blues

new fic idea: Luca and Alex are pen pals but they don't know they are writing to each other and you know they become friends and then maybe even fall for each other and then they figure it out. The fic would be told through letters.

Okay so they tell each other that they work for the team, and they just assume the other works in the factory or in the office. When they write about bikes, it's assumed they are talking about their personal bikes. They don't doodle until around the 3rd set of letters, getting more comfortable with each other. But after that expect at least one doodle of each others dog or of a stick figure version of themselves.

YES there are dog pictures in the letters, Alex writes in a deep purple ink pen, one that had Luca dubbing him a royal and Luca uses a orange one that has him nicknamed sunset (they don't share their names in the letters)

OMG YESSSSS COLORFUL PENS!!! Does Luca draw little suns on his letters?? And do they doodle their dogs??

Also do they call themselves bikers or do they not even know that the other likes bikes?

Family guy did the blues clues mail song and I immediately started singing along even though I’m half asleep

I'm not a Family Guy fan (in general I've never been a fan of any of Seth MacFarlane's cartoons), but I HAVE seen that clip and I appreciate that they even included the "Mailtime-mailtime-mailtime-MAILTIIIIME" before the song. And as far as Family Guy referencing Blue's Clues, this is the best way to do it.

Joe appears in more episodes of this reboot than Steve who has built himself substantial experience as director and writer

in effect, “let Joe have a special too” is a wish that's already been granted several times now

and finally if I'm really wishing for something here it's an episode that Donovan writes and directs because unlike Steve, Donovan has yet to have done both kinds of work on the same episode (writing and directing and acting are not easy, what more is juggling at least two of these jobs?)

In my personal opinion...

Who's opening theme is better? Josh's

Who's "We Figured Out Blue's Clues" song is better? Joe's.

Who's "How To Play Blue's Clues" song is better? Steve's.

Who's Mailtime song is better? India Arie's.

I go with Steve for most of them because I'm biased; I'm mainly familiar with Steve and he's the first one I think of when I hear "Blue's Clues"....but YES totally on that last one. "Bluestock" was great.
