Maia Karim spotted in NYC tonight grabbing a cosy looking dinner with birthday boy Nathaniel Blue. We can only imagine that these two are ignoring the words of Kylie Blue who’s reportedly not a fan of this new pairing.

Is Max Off The Market??
Did Maxwell Harper just confirm he was in a long term relationship?
Hell yes he did.
Whilst we come down from our shock that the well known Lothario claims to have, in fact, been tied down during his interview on Legends Radio earlier on today, we here at WH were quick to do our research as to who the mystery woman could be.
Has Harper really been loved up all this time but keeping it from us? Or is this just a marketing plot to plug some more sales of his depressing new song?
Either way… take a look at the string of women he’s had on his arm and decide for yourself.
A firm favourite in the WH office is Sofia, Harper’s long time assistant. Was that all a ruse to cover up the fact they’ve actually been in a relationship all this time?
Another option is supermodel X, Harper was seen a lot with her for a couple months during the break of London Callings tour in 2016.
Never short of a woman with long legs, Harper and X have been seen together on and off for a few years. Is she the woman inspiring a whole album about heartbreak?
We can’t leave Penny Lane out of this list. Rumours have been rife for years that Harper was in love with Lane, with many claiming he was ‘distraught’ when bandmate Oliver Bennett and Lane became an item, citing that as one of the reasons for the break up. But now married, is Lane the one who got away?
Another firm favourite in the fan base is Maia Karim, was Harper the inspiration behind her smash hit album Lemonade earlier this year? It would make sense lyrically with Karim openly bashing a cheating ex boyfriend whilst Harper admits to having wandering hands in his debut track. Although Karim claims her album was inspired by her time with Bently Rockefeller, we can’t help but see the link here.
Younger sister to Harper’s bandmate, Olivia Bennett has often been spotted around the boys and honestly? She wouldn’t have made this list if it weren’t for the pair of them being spotted on a cosy looking dinner date a couple of weeks ago. Here they are leaving Oliver’s birthday party last year, could this have been the start of their relationship?
But despite all other contenders, we know where our money is going. The #Maxlie shippers are an ardent fanbase, convinced that Harper and Kylie Blue have been in a romantic relationship since they met as teenagers and whilst Blue has been linked to Harper’s bandmate Callan Duffy, we have plenty of evidence of these two looking more cosy than just two close friends. Good for Blue, she’s finally having someone write an album about her for a change.

Skaize’s Wedding: A Recap
In case you weren’t on the guest list of the star studded wedding of the year, we decided to give you an in depth look at what you missed, and what everyone wore!
Blaize showed that he knows how to clean up, and despite our thoughts that their marriage won’t last, even we have to admit he very much looked like a man in love.
After being spotted with the groom pre wedding day, it comes as no surprise that Cian was Blaize’s best man, but it was surprising that reports say that for once, he was also presentable, although his shoes still reflected his usual eccentric style.
Sky looked beautiful in her custom wedding dressed designed by Essence Harper, and she looked positively glowing as she ‘married’ her husband.
It comes as no surprise that Skyler’s maid of honor was no other than best friend Penny Lane, who also looked dressed to kill.
Penny was joined by Maia Karim
Selena Right ,
and Zoe Weber to make up Sky’s bridal party.
Blaize and Skyler’s daughter, Cora Griffin, and Hunter Hopkins and Selena Right’s daughter, Violet Right, were the flower girls for the happy couple, while the pairs respective sons, Apollo Griffin and Mason Hopkins were also present, looking adorable in their baby tuxes. The wedding ceremony was planned by up and coming event planner, Stella Bennett 11/30

Is Maia’s Next Solo Project On The Horizon?
Nevaeh has been on hiatus ever since the tragic concert incident that took place this past year, but is it time for one of the bands members to climb out of the shell?
That one member would be Maia Karim who is no stranger to a solo release and appears to be slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things. Legends has actually caught wind that Maia has been working out of Nashville, Tennessee as of late and is pretty close to being ready to make her first drop! Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but we’d
be happy to see her back in a place where music making can happen. Nothing official just purely grand speculation. We wish Maia the best and hope she returns when the time is right for her.

80,698 People flocked to Stade de France the eighth largest stadium in Europe on Friday to see, what could possibly be the most musicians ever in three hours. The event, With Love, Paris, hosted by Penny Lane to raise money to help the families and community affected by the attacks on her Paris show last year sold out in less than 10 minutes and drew fans from around the world. And it’s not hard to see why. When Penny posted the impressive line-up announcement last month we too were excited to see what this day would bring.
We were right to be looking forward to it. The event itself took place over a little more than three hours and was broadcast live on Youtube with additional coverage of the backstage area where fans could see some of their favs interact, dance and sing along to the insanely talented artists performing.
The event itself started at exactly 7 pm with, who else, Penny Lane and her hit song “Be Alright” off her 2017 album Dangerous Woman followed by “Thank You, Next”. From there Penny started bringing up her friends. Skyler Valentine-Griffin jumped up first, surprising no one by joining her bestie on stage for a performance of “Side to Side” followed by Pennys top song of the year “Monopoly”
Next up, “Boyfriend” featuring Ryan Price. Another major hit on the charts last year. Before Penny Lane leaves the stage for the first time, handing over the limelight to Ryan for his performance of “Love It If We Made It”
The stage is empty for a brief moment and then none other than London Calling walk out to perform “Story Of My Life”. It shouldn’t be that surprising to see the boys here supporting their long-time friend however it’s sort of bittersweet to see the four men together, down a member so close to the anniversary of Ethan's passing.
Maxwell Harper-Bennett takes over the stage next belting out the Grammy-nominated song “Too Good At Goodbyes” before hurrying off to catch a flight back to his own tour where he would perform in a few short hours.
A surprising addition Chloe Zuicq storms the stage with some impressive energy. Her newest song “Don’t Worry Bout Me” got the crowd dancing. We were a little shocked Chloe made the line up as we don’t know of any real connection between her and the queen of pop but her vibe was infectious.
Keeping the uptempo vibe, Blaize Griffin was joined on stage by Lucas Osborne for their song “I Think I’m OKAY” where they had the crowd jumping and screaming along proving that Blaize still has IT, even when he’s experimenting with a newer sound for the rap god.
The first surprise of the evening, Ryder Tomasi takes over with his song “I Remember Way Too Much”, after seemingly having drama with the night's host a bit back after being removed from a song due to some drama. However, the former couple seems to have squashed their beef as Penny rejoins the stage, in a new outfit, to perform “The Way” with her former boyfriend.
Next up, Penny stays on the stage but is joined by Hunter Hopkins, another surprise guest, to perform their top ten single “F*ck Apologies” before conceding the stage to Hunter for him to perform his single, “PAID MY DUES”
Roman Rizvi is up next with his bop “Straightjacket” proving that he and Penny are still on friendly terms after the backstage camera catches them hugging it out as he leaves the stage.
An unsurprising addition to the line-up, Cherry Chambers, steals the stage next by performing her hit single “Truth Hurts” where, if you’re still watching the backstage camera, you can see Penny on the screaming along.
Continuing the girl power trend, Maia Karim kills it with a high energy performance of “Who Run The World (Girls)” complete with some serious choreography.
She’s joined on stage immediately following her performance by her former bandmates where Nevaeh reminds us why they’re still the world's best girl group despite still being on hiatus with high energy performances of “Salute” “Shout Out To My Ex” and “Bounce Back”.
Two members leave the stage to watch Penny, Maia and Essence Woods perform the biggest song of 2019, “Don’t Call Me Angel” as a trio for only the second time despite the popularity of the song.
Then Essence takes over to show us all why she’s our “National Anthem”. Despite giving birth, the young mogul doesn’t miss a beat and already looks amazing as she struts around the stage to a highly interactive crowd screaming the lyrics back at her.
The next surprise guest to join the stage is someone no one could have expected. Joanna Martel and Penny have a history and it’s not a pretty one but the pair seem to have squashed it, or at least put it aside for the night so Joanna could perform “Hit Me Baby”.
New artist, Winnie Kane, takes over next by performing her debut single“Hands To Myself” holding her own on her first major performance. Not many people get to say they had their first showcase in front of more than 80,000 people but I guess that’s the perks of being the protege to one of the world's biggest stars.
Make way for the King, literally. King takes over the stage to perform “Redbone” bringing a more mellow vibe back to the stadium after a string of very high energy performances.
Callan Duffy reenters the stage and makes his way to a piano where he plays his ode to his mother “Supermarket Flowers” in a highly emotional performance complete with some tears from both the audience, the backstage feed as well as Callan himself.
Penny Lane takes over the piano (we always forget that she can do more than just sing and dance) for a duo of never performed before songs starting with “I Am” where the pop star struggles to make it through the third chorus due to emotions and moving to “Music” where the singer barely manages to finish, clearly working out some of her frustrations with her career. The backstage feed is full of Penny’s friends, there to support her through a very difficult performance.
After composing herself for a moment Penny does her first speech of the evening where she expresses her gratitude to the city and her fans for sticking by her through some hard times, vowing to continue to do whatever she can to help the families affected by the tragedy that struck the last year. She puts her money where her mouth is, donating $100,000 to the event, before launching into her hit single, “No Tears Left To Cry”.
Skyler Valentine-Griffin joins her friend on stage at the end, where the pair hug it out for a moment before jumping into “Bed” together, seemingly having a great time goofing off on stage together, quickly lightening the mood with their antics before Penny gives her long-time friend a kiss on the cheek, leaving Skyler the stage to perform “Rehab”
Quinton Harper, one of the few artists on the bill that doesn’t have a feature with Penny, is the only artist given two solo songs with both “Sorry” and “Love Yourself” making the cut.
Maia and Penny come back out, both dressed more casually to do a cover of “Don’t Dream It’s Over” clearly enjoying themselves as they dance around the stage and really get the crowd interacting.
The duo leaves the stage and Camisado takes over. Performing their newest single “The Last of the Real Ones” with a high energy vibe.
Penny returns, this time bringing up Olivia Marie for two songs. “Fall In Line” a fitting ode given Penny’s current drama and Olivia’s connection to all of that and “I Can Only” also speaking volumes to their lives.
Olivia leaves the stage leaving Penny to perform “Get Well Soon” before the biggest surprise of the night. A guest performer that literally no one could expect. Penny starts by singing the first verse in the iconic Dixie Chicks song “Not Ready To Make Nice” before inviting none other than Kylie Blue onto the stage to join her. The duo share a connection and some history but have never shared the stage before like this. Penny then concedes the stage to Kylie and the live stream cuts for a few minutes while Kylie performs her hit “Delicate.”
As we reach the three-hour mark Olivia retakes the stage and delivers a moving and emotional first performance of her new single “Praying” which brought the tears from not only the singer but also the rest of the venue.
Olivia and Penny embrace as the younger singer heads off stage and we resume the waterworks as Penny delivers a very emotional rendition of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” before launching into a short monologue thanking everyone for coming. Everyone rejoins the stage as Penny closes the show, crying through “One Last Time” a song with a lot of meaning right now to the pop star.
Overall the entire show was phenomenal. While there were some lower points no performance seemed to be truly lacking and everyone involved help raise a little more than 13 million dollars. | 1/10/20

Book recs masterpost
y’all really came through here, thanks! Here’s a collected version, I will continue to update it if recs keep coming. Format will be a little inconsistent but I will try to keep books by the same author together and give the summary if it exists and who provided the rec.
Under a cut cause it gets long:
Gene Wolfe:
The Fifth Head of Cerberus
Three interconnected novellas about life on an authoritarian twin planet system where humans have apparently wiped out the natives. Superbly well written and thoughtful imo
rec by @femmenietzsche
Book of the New Sun
rec by @napoleonchingon
Octavia Butler:
Dawn, rec by @empresszo, @typicalacademic
Parable of the Sower, rec by @st-just
Kindred, rec by @squareallworthy
Angelica Gorodischer:
Kalpa Imperial
epic fantasy in the style of conan the barbarian, we see the stories of an old empire in some nondescript country, a nondescript amount of millenia ago. small vignettes of different time periods within the country. very light in fantasy, basically an entire book of nothing but lore for a D&D campaign
Trafalgar
comedy sci fi. the life stories of a sales man, a guy who goes door to door selling whatever he can, except IN SPACE. all the stories are framed as him in his little bar in rosario with his friends or drinking mate, telling his latests adventures through space.
La saga de los confines by Liliana Bodoc
lord of the rings except instead of taking inspiration from nordic folk tales is based on the american conquest. see fantasy races and cultures based on the native american population from south america. lots of poetry, lots of cool classic fantasy with a fresh new flavor
(Already read)
la batalla del calentamiento by marcelo figueras
the fantasy here is very understated to the point of it being magical realism but still my top three favourite book of all time. it starts with a man who suffers gigantism receiving a message from heaven delivered by a wolf speaking in latin. the most colorful and endearing little town with the most wacky of habitants open their arms to the guy who is desperatly in search of redemption
homestuck (by Andrew Hussie)
there is really nothing i can say about this that you havent already heard, so im not even going to bother. just give the first arc (which is about a hundred pages long) a change and see where it goes from there
All of the above suggestions by @fipindustries
Ada Palmer. Terra Ignota series (starts with Too Like the Lightning) (seconded by @youzicha)
(read the first one, have the second one but haven’t read it yet)

N. K. Jemisin:

Neal Stephenson, Cryptonomicon & D.O.D.O.
Ted Chiang, Story of Your Life and anything else by him
To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis (also suggesting this review)
C.J. Cherryh – The Faded Sun Trilogy.
Honestly not sure there’s anything groundbreaking or unique about it but a solid scifi tale with aliens and politics and it really fleshed out and made me empathize with all the opposing and strikingly different factions.
Taiyao Fujii – Orbital Cloud
A space-related technothriller, quite fun! If you liked the first 2/3rds of Seveneves you’ll probably like this.
Gwynneth Jones – Life.
Story of a woman trying to be the best biologist she can despite a lot of setbacks, bascially. Barely counts as science fiction, really, but I just really like Anna and Spence as characters and their relationship. This a very feminist book, at times quite preachy–but personally it came across as characters being preachy not the author, and therefore much less annoying, but ymmv.
Katherine Addison – The Goblin Emperor.
Fantasy high politics but nice? Like also pretty level headed but not grimdark like fantasy high politics usually is. Also love the worldbuilding, the linguistics, and my precious cinnamon role Maia who deserves good things.
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet
River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey
the most tumblr print book I have ever read. TBH the cover blurb is better than the book but it’s a quick read and enjoyable.
Paolo Bacigalupi - The Windup Girl.
Ian MacDonald – The Dervish House.
The twenty-minutes-into-the-future setting has aged weirdly since it was written back when Turkey was trying to join the EU, but I reread it recently and the plot and characters are still compelling.
All of the above by @businesstiramisu
"James S. A. Corey", The Expanse series (rec by @justjohn-jj)
Mariam Petrosyan’s The Grey House
kids and minders in a boarding school for the disabled, their relationships and their setting. Mostly a coming-of-age thing but with a lot of weirdness and some fantastic elements. Extremely readable
Arkady and Boris Strugatsky:
Hard to be a God
Inhabited Island
Roadside Picnic
Stanisław Lem:
Fiasco
Cyberiad
Karim Berrouka’s Fées, Weed & Guillotines
what it says on the tin. Pretty fun. I would suspect his other fantasy mystery novel comedies are good too.
The Invisible Planets anthology
extremely hit or miss, but definitely has its hits.
Bernard Weber’s Les Fourmis
All of the above by @napoleonchingon
The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells
Sarcastic cyborg tries to avoid humans and watch entertainment media all day and perpetually ends up saving some. With all the snark.
rec by @rhetoricandlogic
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, Claire North
Guy is born in 1910s, dies at 80 or so… and is born again in the 1910s, and so on. Also the world is ending.
The End and Afterwards, Andy Cooke
A probe to Alpha Centauri, an idealist Nigerian biotechnician, a humdrum English family – and then the world ends.
Against Peace and Freedom, Mark Rosenfelder
50th century interstellar humanity is mostly doing okay. But socionomics doesn’t cover crises, such as the dictatorship that’s taken over Okura, or the unscrupulous tycoon who’s plotting something over on New Bharat. For that we have Diplomatic Agents. Like you.
all of the above by @jackhkeynes
Meta-recommendations:
worldswithoutend.com, their list of lists, and in particular, defining science fiction books of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.

A who’s-who of Oscar nominees, A-listers and top Hollywood executives came out to support the Motion Picture & Television Fund at its 17th annual “Night Before” party, which raised $5 million in support of the MPTF.
One of the key events of Oscar weekend, the “Night Before” party, held Saturday on the Fox Studios lot in Los Angeles and co-sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter, drew past Oscar winners including Mahershala Ali (also a current nominee, who came with wife Amatus Sami-Karim), George Clooney, Viola Davis (with husband Julius Tennon), Leonardo DiCaprio, Marcia Gay Harden, Allison Janney and Octavia Spencer.
Among the 2019 Oscar nominees who were at the event were Amy Adams (with husband Darren Le Gallo), Yalitza Aparicio, Glenn Close, Willem Dafoe (with wife Giada Colagrande), Adam Driver (with wife Joanne Tucker), Richard E. Grant, Sam Elliott, Regina King, Spike Lee, Rami Malek and Viggo Mortensen.
Close, Grant and King made their way to the party just a few hours after collecting Film Independent Spirit Awards earlier in the day for best actress, best supporting actor and best supporting actress, respectively.
The 2019 host committee included a lineup of talent including Adams and Le Gallo, Ali, Tanya Haden Black and Jack Black, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, Amal and George Clooney, Close, Colagrande and Dafoe, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, Janney, King, Malek, Mortensen, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, Rachel Weisz, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, and Constance Wu.
Other A-listers at the exclusive, invitation-only bash included event maestro Jeffrey Katzenberg, who serves as chairman of the MPTF Foundation, along with recent Golden Globe/Emmy/SAG Award winner Darren Criss (with new wife Mia Swier), Chris Evans, Tiffany Haddish, Jon Hamm, Mindy Kaling, Keegan-Michael Key and producer wife Elisa Pugliese, Helen Mirren, Mike Myers, Christopher Nolan and Taylor Swift with boyfriend (The Favourite actor) Joe Alwyn, in addition to past Oscar nominees Ava DuVernay, Samuel L. Jackson, Carey Mulligan, Anna Paquin with husband Stephen Moyer, Will Smith with wife Jada Pinkett Smith and Hailee Steinfeld.
Black Panther stars Angela Bassett, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan also came out to support the cause, as did Crazy Rich Asians stars Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina, Henry Golding and Constance Wu.
Top executives including Disney CEO Bob Iger and studio chair Alan Horn, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts (with Universal’s Ron Meyer), WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey and Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, Universal Pictures chair Donna Langley, Sony Pictures chair Tom Rothman and Paramount Pictures CEO Jim Gianopulos also were at the bash, where guests enjoyed specialty foods from Carmelized Productions by Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo.
Funds raised during the “Night Before” party are used to support the MPTF, which assists industry members in Hollywood of all ages by providing financial assistance, crisis counseling, caregiving support and the retirement facility in Woodland Hills that film and TV veterans call “home.”
In total, the annual event has raised more than $85 million since its inception in 2003.
THR returned as one of the presenting sponsors of the event alongside Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, L'Oréal USA, Target, Yahoo! and YouTube. This marked THR's sixth year as the sole media sponsor of the party.

Kylie: “I DO NOT Approve”
She’s got strong thoughts on her brothers new romance
We’ve all heard the news of Kylie Blue’s elder brother Nathaniel Blue linking up with Nevaeh member Maia Karim, well the latest piece of the puzzle is that Kylie does not approve of whatever the two have going on.
Insider sources tell us that Kylie is very against her brother being involved with her fellow pop star. “She’s very protective of him and doesn’t want him in the circuit of media news” says one of the sources. Though the romance appears to be continuously building, sources says Blue has vocally made it apparent to both parties the she’d like them to stop seeing eachother whilst Nathaniel and Maia are continuously ignoring her.
Why are you being such a party pooper Kylie? We get it- you like to ruin everything but can Nathaniel just have this one? He has to endure your news circuit!
Stay tuned for more following this story.
