My designs for Marx and Magolor. Sorry they're stupidly simple but this is probably the best I could come up with that has both as many features they have from their canon versions, and "realism". Will probably change in the future but most likely not because I know myself and I'm lazy

Finally convinced myself to finish one of my other wips and that is the gijinka designs for wave three. I'm just going to share my thoughts on them through bullet points.
I had design a Magolor gijinka before, but I grown to not really like it now and decided to make him a scrunkly little man who has seen enough of the horrors. He has similar elements to my older one.
He is the shortest out of all the other adult characters
The entirety of the left part of his torso and arm has burn scars (You can sort of spot it by comparing the hands). He has scars on his forehead too if you lift the hood down.
Most of Susie's limbs are now prosthetic. They work as a normal limb should but she has the added bonus of long fall boots.
Her eyes are robotic and those antenna looking things on the side of her head are attached to her, they can rotate. (Though I guess I applied that to regular Susie too since I don't draw her much.)
Taranza is a very tall man. He sometimes feels bad for provoking people with his height and spider like arms and eyes.
I went back and fourth when designing the upper part of his body, whether or not he should wear his cape and how his suit jacket should look. He had a carvat at some point too.
He got a little spike thing on his shoes for the people who want to chop his ankles off. (And its a substitute for how actual tarantulas shoot bristles from their body to harm predators)
His arms and hands were an absolute pain to draw.

Sooooo I'm kinda late with my Skytober 2024 Catch Up, but at least I did it! Yippee!
Prompt 16 "Spyro's Adventure": Flynn's Hot Air Balloon! Looking at its design brings back so many memories of that game, I drew it for the prompt! Hope I did it justice!
Prompt 17 "Imaginators": Ember! My first sensi that I got for christmas by my uncle. She's a bit sentimental to me in a way. Gave her flaming eye lashes to make her look extra badass!!
Prompt 18 "Tech": Drill Sergeant! Silly drill robot! Love him and his goofy beeps and boops!! Didn't give him any design changes cuz he was hard enough to draw already!
Prompt 19 "Magic Item": Winged Boot! Cuz I couldn't get Caddicarus' Skylander Bit out of my head for that prompt. Every time I look at the winged boot item now, I think of Caddy saying "SHOE", so I made into a bottom text meme lol
Prompt 20 "Chapter": Frostfest Mountains from Swap Force! Ngl guys, I got lazy with this one. So I just got a pic of the level from google, drew Skylander Magolor on there having some hot coco, and called it a day. I do genuinely love this level and the Mesmeralda boss fight at the end will always be the best non-final-boss fight ever!
Prompt 21 "Giants": Eye Brawl! Cuz he's my favorite Giant! Love the big eye ball man! So cool! Very cool! Only design change is a little red heart, based of the heart I painted on my Eye Brawl figure! ❤️
Prompt 22 "Life": Apple Core (aka Skylander Magolor after a huge time skip)! Another special lone picture just for the old cat boy himself! I used a little more effort in the shading for this one! Looks super cool and mysterious~
We're at the final stretch now! So tune in next week for the last bunch of skylander sketches!

Magalor gets the crown but neither turns on the main cast or gets controlled instantly and just kinda leaves.
(Bonus points if he gradually gets controlled, taking such a long time (like a couple months - a couple years) that people can see it happening but just can't stop it and have to watch it happen no I'm not copying adventure time)
Since you said Magolor left Kirby and the others alone, I'm afraid you'll have to deal with a Marx and Marxolor-heavy version of this prompt! (I sure hope you're one of my readers who either likes or doesn't mind some shipping between them, Anon! >w< )
I originally wrote this as a script to maybe comic-ify before I realized it was way too long and quickly transformed it into a prose piece!
"False King's Lament" Pairing: Marxolor Genre: Angst Words: 1,000 Warnings: Uh...they kiss briefly...?
A breezy question, spoken almost out of boredom, echoed with unexpected weight throughout the room.
"How long you gonna keep wearing that?"
The wizard king turned in the direction of the voice: it came from his court jester, who spoke to him upside down, being in the middle of a series of complex acrobatic exercises.
The jester was the only member of his court. For theirs was a kingdom of two.
"...Wearing what?"
"The big glittery crown on your head, your majesty."
They tried to invite others to join in their kingdom of laughter and good times. Most refused with looks of disgust or terror. Some took up weapons. Some simply ran. Of course, together the two of them had the ability to force anyone they wanted to stay, but after a time, the wizard king would sigh and say their screams weren't the ones he was looking for and let them go–to the jester's disappointment.
"The Master Crown is an object of unlimited power."
The golden diadem in question, sculpted to resemble some kind of airborne creature, like a bird or a bat or perhaps a dragon sat atop the wizard king's head. The jewel in the center, a light opalescent color that every so often looked blood red in the light, sparkled on its own, as if it somehow knew it was being spoken about.
"Why would I ever stop wearing it?"
The jester hopped forward, deft in his comically oversized shoes.
"Uh, cause it looks dumb on you?"
The veil of majesty on the wizard king's face fell away, one gloved hand massaging away the annoyance he felt in his brow from betwixt the crown's enormous claws.
There was no more dignity there as he dropped the royal charade to sigh at his longtime friend and lifelong partner in mischief.
"Ma~rx..." Irritation rose in the last notes of that name.
The jester, unfurling his wiry wings, crossed the distance between himself and his king with a single glittering flap.
"Seriously, Magolor. You haven't taken that thing off since you came back with it. I know you like looking all important, but come on!"
Magolor noticed Marx's ever delighted smile had left his face. His own countenance was a frown.
"Once more, I have to question you why I should?"
"...Can you?" This question was softer in pitch than that which initiated this conversation. Heavier in tone.
"What was that?" Magolor feigned a fool's ignorance. It was true that his hearing was not what it had been in years past. But to say he hadn't heard the jester's question would be the kind of lie that distinguished his life before his coronation.
"Can you take it off?"
Firmer now. Marx no longer concealed his concern.
"....Why is that a question?" Golden eyes looked around the throne room for anything else to concentrate on. (Though had it not, at one time, been built for a purpose other than ruling? Had this empty castle in his image not been made to host more than just them?)
Marx wrapped his hands–though it was only Magolor who thought of the large, monstrous claws that way–close around the two ends of his jester's cap like they were cuffs, miming his king's horns.
"It's hugging your head pre~tty tight." His violet eyes glimmered as he stuck his tongue out of a crescent smile. "Even tighter than I do!"
Magolor laughed, suddenly at ease again. "Is that it? You're jealous over a piece of headgear?"
He lifted the small jester in his large hands; up to the brim of his scarf for a secret kiss. But as the two pulled away, Magolor saw that the mirth in Marx's expression had been only temporary. A trap to encourage Magolor to let down his guard.
"I'm being serious for once."
Magolor absentmindedly bounced the jester from hand to hand as a distraction, Marx nimbly skipping and twirling along the stairs of the other's fingers in their little lover's game.
"Whatever you're worried about, don't be. I've spent years researching the Master Crown and its power."
The last two words came out with crushing force. "...I'm fine."
"Great!" Marx stopped, smiled, and hooked one hand on a white gloved finger, orbiting it like a trapeze artist to fling himself up on top of Magolor's head. "Then you'll be fine without it too!"
"...Marx, just let it go." Magolor wanted to crane back to pull him off but knew that he would not be able to turn his head to his satisfaction. He instead swatted uselessly at the air behind him.
"No, I won't." A once soft voice hissed with anger and determination. "Not until I get this creepy thing off your head, Mags."
Magolor's blind grasps grew quicker and more panicked. Marx stretched his wings to their full span and slipped the tips of his bony claws under the thick golden ones that wrapped crushingly close around the head and horns of his lover.
The fake royal finally let the old weakness and helplessness of his former life slip through the cracks in his voice as he began to shout, "Don't! Don't tou-...!" Then, Marx began to pry at it.
"...Ngh!" Magolor groaned, feeling his head simultaneously forced up and pressed down by Marx's determined efforts to de-crown him. It was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Yet. Still, he cried Marx's name through tight lips, pleading with him to stop before...
His howl of excruciating pain echoed through the room, bounding across every wall like a wounded animal desperate to escape as Magolor violently arched back, flinging Marx off of him like a missile.
"Ugh...!" Marx rolled several times before coming to a stop against the wall. He shook his head to clear the dizziness. "Mags, what the..."
He looked up at his injured king, whose hands were tightly clutching the crown that now appeared to be wriggling atop Magolor's head like it were alive. Magolor shook and shuddered, whimpering at the angry, punitive thrumming of the crown-creature that wore him.
Marx noticed that, in the struggle, Magolor's neck wrap had fallen. His round eyes widened, irises like dots, at what he saw.
"M-Mags...?"
The jester traced the path of the crown-creature's claws with those eyes. Unlike the ones clutching his brow and hugging his horns, these trailed down a ways before they disappeared entirely into Magolor's back, where body and gold fused together.
"Are you...satisfied...now that...you know?" A glint of a golden eye found him, wavering as the light illuminated a stillborn tear.
Marx flew around immediately to face him, kneading his claws gently into Magolor's curled fingers until they unfolded once more for him to hop up into. "How long has it been like this, Mags...?"
"I don't remember... Right after I put it on? Months later?"
Anger boiled over in Marx to the degree that he no longer knew where to direct it. "How do you not remember when this thing suddenly began crawling over your head and growing into your back?! How did you study it for years and not realize it wasn't a stupid crown at all but some sort of...messed up monster?! Do you even HAVE limitless power?! Then use it and get rid of it! Blow it up or take it off or whatever you have to do! You CAN do that, right?"
The lying wizard ducked his head in shame; he did not want to lie.
"...What's it doing to you Mags...? What's it going to do?"
The jester, who in a moment had forgotten forever how to laugh, looked at his liege, his fellow trickster, and his love as the other opened lips split in a most unnatural way. "...I don't know..."

jokes about magolor in kirby clash games being a scammer are funny, but i feel like at this point fandom gaslit itself into thinking that this is literally his characterization, when in reality he's painted as VERY generous and fair person in those
not only his prices are pretty fair compared to other games of the similar type, he also warns you about spending more money than necessary if you already maxed out your gem apple tree. would a scammer do that?
i don't think magolor's redemption involves him becoming 100% goody good two shoes or anything, i feel like that would be taking away what makes his character fun. but i feel like it's once again fandom taking his character into two opposite extremes instead of deciding on the golden middle ground.
he won't scam you and he will be a good and fair businessman, but he might mail you a pie bomb as a prank gift to the loyal customer. this is the kind of person magolor is.

how long has Fluff been officially king of Patchland? Also what are Fluff's opnions on Kirby's family?
Tumblr media
Oh @monika-396; I've taken your humble ask and produced angst out of it.
This is based on the original plot of Epic Yarn where it was going to have Prince Fluff as the main character. Fluff was going to go on a journey to find his lost mother... BUT WE WERE DENIED THIS!
Until we get that Prince Fluff game... THAT WOMAN HAS ABANDONED HER SON!
So to answer your question, Prince Fluff has ruled the Kingdom as king for 3 years. But he's been running the kingdom since he was only (8-11 in Kirby years). So my HC for Fluff's mom is that she was not from Patchland. And that was the reason why the magic socks were created... for her.
But Fluff's father died, and she couldn't handle the pressures of running the kingdom by herself, so she left. Leaving everything to Yin-Yarn (the royal advisor). She swiped everything that was hers and left the other sock to ensure she'd never return. (Or that's what it seemed like... full story later.)
When days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months it was clear... the queen was never going to return. Yin-Yarn took advantage of his position: he started to extort money from the kingdom. Especially from"Quilt Square", Dom Woole had to declare bankruptcy but took this as a chance to get proof of Yin-yarn's corruption...
He was fired soon after
Fluff was hurt when he found out he trusted Yin-yarn and said, "...but mom will come back and fix this right." Sadly everyone had explained to him that his mother was never coming back. Fluff did not have time to mourn had to take all the responsibilities of a king all in the same day.
Cut back to the month of his coronation day... the dreams he had as a little boy suddenly came back. He always pictured that his mom would be with him the day he became king... but she wasn't there.
He drowned himself in work to avoid everything. Locking himself in his office for weeks: hiding away. Kirby knew something was up... so he came to his Fluff's castle. So he broke in (so Fluff couldn't avoid him) and knocked on his window in a desperate attempt to check on his friend...
(They weren't dating yet, but that was the level of love & care he had for Fluff he had already. The feeling was mutual on Fluff's end as well; they just didn't know what they had yet...)
He saw a side of Fluff he had never seen before which scared him... Hearing him try to reason out of his sorrow, and deny his feelings was so painful to watch.
(Kirby's Knighting Ceremony took place 10 months ago)
He put himself in his shoes and imagined what would have happened if Meta Knight wasn't able to be there at his knighting ceremony.
Kirby, he could only feel a fraction of the grief Fluff was feeling, but it made him feel awful. He wouldn't have wanted to do the ceremony or get knighted if Meta Knight couldn't be there.
He got everything he wanted at his knighting ceremony... seeing his friend couldn't have that... broke his heart. He desperately wanted to take his pain away. Fluff didn't even have the luxury to say "cancel it" or get the crown and say he's king.
He did the only thing he could do he wrapped Fluff in his cape to make him feel safe, warm, and loved. And with that, Fluff finally admitted that he couldn't do it without his mom.
So with the help of everyone, they used their powers to create cataclysmic weather conditions. Hail, thunderstorms, tornados, earthquakes, and one black hole. And just before the ceremony starts, Kirby bursts in:
"APOLOGIZES FOR BEING LATE BUT..., THE WEATHER... IT'S A CODE-RED NATURAL DISASTER! EVERYONE IS ENDANGERED! AS A SEASONED STAR WARRIOR: I SUGGEST WE MAKE THE CEREMONY SHORT TO PROTECT EVERYONE HERE!"
All the visiting galactic diplomats and nobles agreed in fear as the black hole of Marx & Magolor grew bigger. And that is how the ceremony was cut to 15 minutes. The minute they all left the weather cleared up and they all just had fun at the after-party.
On that day, Fluff was able to see that his friends were his actual family... he was loved. So yeah Fluff already loved Kirby's family (the GSA) to bits & pieces. And lets them get away with a lot of teasing, much to Kirby's annoyance; and tries to shoo them away before they have the chance (Knuckle Joe & Tuff/Bun).
And on that day, everyone in the friend group started to ship the hell out of Kirby & Fluff. Everyone already started to see that Fluff & Kirby had a thing since the knighting ceremony... but after this whole ordeal. But at the end of the day, everyone knew what they had...
"KIRBY, YOU'RE TELLING US YOU'RE WILLING TO COOK UP SEVERAL NATURAL ATROCITIES FOR ONE GUY WHO YOU JUST CONSIDER AS A FRIEND-!?" which was what everyone (namely Marx) wanted to say... But MK insisted this was their relationship, and they had to figure it out... on their own terms.
In the end, Kirby was gonna say, "I wish I could've found your mom..." Kirby wanted to give Fluff the ceremony he deserved (like he did). Needless to say, Fluff got everything he wanted, just in a different way that day.
(it'll take 9 months for these two to realize their feelings and 3 months more to confess, so at least a year) Hope guys enjoyed the angst I produced.

Au Marx
My hyperfixation character info dump
Tumblr media
For my version of Marx, I made him more animal-like and Not Round. I made him furry, and instead of his shoes I gave him clawed feet. He's from a species native to Popstar called a noddy. He wears his bow tie on special occasions. He has sharp teeth and strong crushing jaws. His size can fluctuate depending on if he wished to spend extra energy supporting a larger size. Though usually he's most comfortable at around 1 foot tall. If he is bigger, he has more mass and more physical strength. If he's smaller, he can accelerate faster. He prefers to use speed and sharp claws in combat. Also its entertaining to have people underestimate him due to small size. Density can also kinda be altered. Blood is purple because Cool. In universe, its due to an abundance of purple carotenoid protein complexes in his blood. Why purple? Who knows? Being able to produce carotenoids has many health benefits, including being more resistant to radiation damage, which includes the effects of magic use.
Marx was a lab animal on a Nish (Nightmare's species)ship. They added the DNA of various other species. Unfortunately, as they were pulling the magical energy they needed (impatient! Should let it flow out naturally from the rift) from the infinite magic universe, they accidentally pulled in a piece of something. This something, in its panicked state, crossed over into the noddy's mind layer. This shattered fragment of a state it was in resulted in giving the noddy an insatiable hunger for things to attempt to fill in the rest of the something. The Nish got more than they could handle. They were unable to control him. He escaped and destroyed them and their ship. He eventually burnt out and floated around in space a while before crashing onto Magolor's home world.
He is immortal due to the piece of a Magic Dimension Entity stuck in his mind layer. His consciousness is unable to detach from the physical reality. The MDE is like fried to it. Is it even conscious or is it just the equivalent of a bunch of screaming disconnected neurons? The MDE also allows him to open micro rifts to pull in more magic on his own(Magolor cannot do this). However, he must use some of his own metabolic energy to fully stabilize the magic from the kinda broken micro rifts, so he must eat a lot to power his abilities. The MDE also gives him a hunger. It longs for what it had before; to be complete again. It compels to consume. Unfortunately, it is in vain, as the MDE is too damaged to realize that the simple particles and magic matter are like the difference between protons and complex molecules. It can't rebuild itself using only particles. It can't fully reach any of this additional power anyways, which is lost if Marx uses it (Or has his physical body destroyed).
Due to the presence of the MDE, he is immune to possession, since anything seeing what's already taken up residence in his mind will not want to deal with any of that. Marx refers to the MDE as "Jerry".
These particular micro rifts of his, have a side effect of additionally releasing a variation of the magic particles. These particles, instead of powering magic ability, can accumulate and turn some of his carbon atoms into zeronium, a type of magic/normal matter hybrid. This malleable element now attached to various molecules allows for easier shape shifting than the average magic user.
He can also regenerate from injuries. If he loses too much mass or his injuries are too extensive, he might instead reform into a smol version of himself. If his body is completely destroyed, it can reform by his mind attaching to and transforming some suitable mass. Being bodyless is not pleasant for him. He can feel the will of the MDE fragment more strongly. He can increase the speed of regeneration for a higher energy cost, or wait for it to regenerate more slowly. If he gets too hungry or too out of his right mind he might uncontrollably consume surrounding edible things, preferring live meat. This might occur after waking up from regenerating from extensive damage. You don't need to worry that much though. It would take a dire situation, and he can actually go without food for an extended period of time(he wouldn't be happy about it though) if he's had enough beforehand. He is against killing sapient lifeforms unless they make him really angry or he feels they deserve it. Physical harm to him is often nothing more than an irritation. The surest way to invite hostility is to threaten any mortals he makes friends with. He is, however, fine with scavenging corpses, no matter how much others disapprove. ("Lor says its MY turn with their carbon. They're not using it anymore!") He is often attracted to signs of war or chaos in general, as this may result in free food(such as the dead) and entertainment. You might be able to get him to fight for your side if you're nice to him(he is NOT just a weapon) and can convince him your cause is just. He would probably take the opportunity to use his abilities and urges for "good". Otherwise he will watch from a distance and scavenge when its safe. He has low standards and will eat food from the garbage and eat carrion. His favorite foods are anything with sugar; high energy foods; he'll gorge himself on pastries any chance he gets. Loves meat as well. Marx's insides partially exist in folded space, allowing him to consume and process a lot of food at once. It also allows him to store extra mass, energy, and air for space travel.
Marx's abilities are some like his canon self. He can fire lasers and energy orbs. With his wings he can shoot multiple solid magic projection projectiles in the form of the cutter blades and arrows. He can also shoot singular ones with just his hand. Can't split in half, but can split open his chest for big scary second mouth. (His esophagus is right behind the sternum instead of behind the heart.) Actual black holes are not within his power; he instead can generate a powerful vacuum from the second mouth. No thorny vine powers. Ice isn't his thing, either. He can't teleport (however, he can go so fast he might appear to teleport). He does have other powers he's figured out how to do. He can breathe fire and electricity. He can also just channel the electricity out through his extremities. He might zap you from anywhere on his body if he is startled by a sudden touch, and happens more often if he is nervous. He can cloak himself (become nearly invisible). He has super strength, which is done partially by increasing muscles by using stored extra mass, and partially by the magic in his tissues connecting and forming a solid mesh - which is also how he can increase durability. Also the magic particle mesh is how his body doesn't die from being in space since it can keep things properly pressurized. Even in space he can hold his breath for a long time, but once he runs out of oxygen he relies on magic to continue this function.
He also has limited shapeshifting powers. Mostly just limb adjustments; adaptations to his current environment. Things like switching to quadruped movement, increasing fur length if he's cold; turning claws into big scythes. Also generating and reabsorbing the wings. He doesn't usually put in the effort to do mimicry with the shapeshifting unless the form would benefit him a lot. He has to study the form he wants to learn to become and then also has to practice and train himself to become its shape. Fun shape shifter gag: *someone touches his arm* *he screams in pain and shapeshifts his arm bone so that it looks very broken* "Aaah! What have you done?!"
The wing crystals aren't solid. They are energy projections that power flight. His wings can then be used as tentacle arms to grab noms from further away. He can also make them regular pterodactyl like wings powered by muscle if he wants.
He can walk on walls and ceilings due to some combination of static cling and van der Waals forces and magic. He can hold his breath under water for a long time. He can go very very fast. For going interstellar distances, he creates a warp bubble, (aka the Alcubierre drive) around himself. He can see and hear things beyond the range of what we humans can. He can see in the dark and his eyes reflect light.
The hat friend of his is known as Hatrick. I came up with that name in a dream. (More realistically it would be a Halcandran name/hat pun.) Many years of isolation before Marx found him on Halcandra has had an effect on its mental state. Also his ai is defective. It can communicate telepathically with Marx (or whoever's head it's on). It contains a pocket dimension, so it can hold Marx's stuff (treasures, trinkets, games, sword collection, etc). Most of his stuff is actually stored on the Lor. It also remembers the languages he's encountered, which is handy. It gets a bit excitable at times. Compare it with a dog that likes to see its owner happy. Marx can regenerate it too, using his own proteins to craft a new one with a combo of shape shifting and his regen, and can reopen the pocket dimension if he weaves the necessary runes on the inside. Can also alter the hat's size and shape. The hat is fleshy and mobile. This is because they serve as his arms that he can control.
Even though he has been in existence for at least 20 years, he still acts like a child. His transformation to his current state messed with his mind quite a bit; influenced current fears and things that make him uncomfortable, even though he can't remember his past. He can be overconfident due to his powers and immortality, and he's sort of a snarky jerk at times if he doesn't like you. He's a jokey goofball most of the time. Sometimes he is feral. Sometimes he is like beby child. He is aroace and an ambivert. His daily struggle is against the alterations in his mind done by the Nish(Nightmare's species) and the piece of the MDE. He is often reckless concerning his own safety. Because of his immortality, he knows he will never stay dead. This allows him to get into massive amounts of trouble without him having to be concerned for his safety.
He often tries to hide his immense power and predatory nature for fear of fear and rejection and being treated like a monster. He sometimes feels like an outcast and a monster. To avoid being outed as a monster, instead of murdering a mean person, he might just be incredibly obnoxious to them. Sometimes he'll hide his power, and sometimes he uses it to mess with people, be like "hehe fear me mortals" and say things like "you dare oppose me mortal?"(at the slightest inconvenience because its funny). It depends on how he's feeling and how much power he's accumulated at that time(affecting how confident he is). There is a struggle between fear and boredom. Due to his feral predatory nature, he will often stalk and kill his own food. Likes to run around and may play hunt (stalk, pounce, and run away while laughing hysterically) unsuspecting people in the woods. Spooking and pranking people (and just being weird and confusing in general) are other ways he can somewhat satisfy his predatory urges and keep himself amused.
I'd call him mostly chaotic good. He's a good guy, but he wouldn't spare the big bad because good guy thing. He wouldn't make a big fuss about having to do the lesser evil like lying. If he thought he could get away with it, he'd join the bad guys just to get their cookies, then escape and return to the good guy team.
While he doesn't have a charming personality like Magolor, what he does have is something we call "baby mode" used to get what he wants. He exaggerates his childish personality and acts really cute. This may be accompanied by shifting to a smaller size, reproportioning his head and blunting his claws and teeth.
Not too long ago during his Magolor is Missing story arc, he discovered he could travel to other universes without The Lor's power by creating wormholes. This requires an enormous amount of energy, however, and he's only able to keep it open for a brief time, and only large enough for him to go through. This is because he is actually not good at it. This also tires him out and he needs quite a while to recover before he can do it again.
He's taken a liking to Earth of many parallel universes (They have great food; they throw away an enormous amount of it so there's always something tasty to find, particularly in dumpsters behind bakeries and restaurants). Extra interesting to find realities that have the Kirby franchise. He's had a lot of practice blending in in a human shape, but if you paid close enough attention you might notice there is something not quite right about his appearance. Some people find him kind of creepy. Of course he's still wearing that hat. He also likes to wear dumb and/or random reference t-shirts. Enjoys memes and pop culture references and being confusing and weird to amuse himself. One favorite gag is to stare straight at any camera pointed at him and slowly go inverse cross eyed. He still has his powers. He tends to live around the borders between a city (for convenient access to garbage) and a decent sized forest (for running around instead of parkouring across rooftops at 3 am). Supplements his diet with a deer or feral hog every once in a while. Likes to spook people in the woods. Never lets them get a good look at him. Lets them just see eye shine from a distance or makes a weird noise out of sight(meme related noises from a phone are the funniest to use), often moves through the trees, because humans don't tend to look up very often. Takes advantage of the tendency to keep quiet about cryptid encounters to keep from getting too much attention and allows him to be more bold than he otherwise could be. Still might end up becoming a local cryptid, being the eccentric homeless dude that eats garbage and has been seen roaming the streets and country side at all hours of the night and during storms(enjoys rain and swimming); always wearing that weird hat. His sleep schedule and sleeping location are often inconsistent. Will do tricks on street corners sometimes (have fun baffling and amazing humans and getting paid for it???). He understands that as someone with super powers, alcohol and drugs (alterations to his mental state) are off limits. Has to be careful because he still has purple blood in humanoid shape. Uncomfortable around hospitals and crowds and military personnel (yeah he can fight off quite a few, but then what? They sure won't leave him alone and things will just escalate). What would the military/government even do with him if he's discovered?
The events of Milky Way Wishes was probably the result of him being bored and seeing how much power he could obtain (at least, that's what he'll tell you, but he wanted to have his power hungry nature sated). They were not the actual sun and moon. They were just huge powerful beings. They were gargantuan war automatons from opposing sides. Presumably from some other reality. In the far past they continued to fight each other, causing the planets to be in danger. The offworlder splinter group of Ancients must have had outposts somewhere there. They discovered a wish granting mechanical construct of unknown origin. They used it to stop the automatons from fighting. Getting them to form a truce, and sit deactivated on a couple of moons. Marx learned of this from ancient records. He decided on a large scale prank. He had holographic images of the automatons fighting each other made. He told Kirby of the wish granting construct. Why didn't he get the summoning powers himself? Because he'd have to interact with the Dream Fountain entities, which don't like him, due to him having a possibly malevolent MDE fragment. Marx wished to be relieved of his gnawing hunger. To satisfy his MDE fragment. However, the matters of the MDEs are beyond Nova's capabilities. So it tried as best as it could; simply filled him with an incredible amount of energy all at once. Whoops. He loses control. Kirby, after a long battle, sends him colliding into Nova. Marx's body was becoming too much of an unstable mess, so this kills him and leaves him unable to reclaim the majority of his increased power. Now there's just a big mess of debris in the solar system. He recomposed himself into a smaller form. Magolor picked him up and yelled at him quite a bit. He's learned his lesson now. Of being careful of how much power he obtains at once. And of not underestimating Kirby. Also he's now banned from Rainbow Resort.
It should be noted that the nova could have been used to help Magolor find his home world. Marx probably would have told Magolor about it after he had tested it out first, but things didn't go as planned and the nova was destroyed. It should also be noted that Marx had this fear that when Magolor was reunited with his family, he wouldn't have time for him anymore. This was why he was secretive about his plans and hesitant to tell Magolor beforehand. Marx at least partially blames himself for the crown incident; feeling like the nova event helped push him to doing it.
The time after the events of Return to Dream land was rough for him. Went berserk and tried to kill Kirby. Milky Way Wishes was just some fun. At least, it was supposed to be. This was serious from the beginning. Despises Kirby now, more than just disliking him. Magolor lost his memory and lived in a different universe for a while until Marx found him and helped him get his memories back. This event was the catalyst for Marx learning how to make interdimensional portals himself. Marx was clingy and overprotective for a while afterwards.
He's currently traveling around trying to find a purpose. As for his future? Maybe one day he'll figure out the workings of his MDE fragment, allowing him to do the mind entity stuff and grow in power. He's already sort of added Magolor to his collective.
You can ask me questions about him and Magolor. Comments? Social interaction would be nice.

WAIT SHIT. REFERRING TO THIS POST. I HAD A REALIZATION OF SORTS.
Magolor says that the mirror wont reflect anything if hes placed in front of it. This made me think-
Few things I get from this
One: *reflects the evil in their hearts* is apparently what the mirror does. Its somewhat close to Jungian shadows but not really (still keeping that interp though.)
Two: good lord thats a lot of violence Meta is suppressing.
Three: Magolor appears afraid of facing his inner darkness. I mean, of course he is -- the Crown DID make that darkness so strong it almost ate him alive! (In that case, Mistilteinn's defeat is a symbolic way of defeating his inner darkness. To him, at the very least. It could extend to the entire narrative) He wants to believe hes good now and has no more darkness for anyone else (or himself) to fear. (Or, could be part of The Act of being a goody two shoes "Im not evil anymore I swear :)". Can go both ways. Mags, KIRBY has a mirror self. You obviously have one too.)
Four: TDX, right! Im really starting to think that Sectonia did identity theft and Joronia is actually okay. Yknow. Like what Dameta did.

The development of my au Marx
I watched some character analysis type videos and felt the urge to do a deep dive on my au Marx's development and stuff. Many many words under cut.
My previous major hyperfixations were the protagonists and worlds of two of my favorite ps2 games Spyro, and Scaler. (There was also Pokemon and Digimon but I didn't have a central character I latched onto with these.) More with Scaler than Spyro, I tinkered with the character some to make what I guess would be an au but I didn't know that was a thing yet.
It was the summer before I think either my second or third year of high school; I'd be around 15 or 16, when my siblings discovered there was a Kirby anime and decided to watch it. Then I obtained a hyperfixation on Kirby. (Even before this, I enjoyed Kirby games.) Rather quickly, this shifted over to Marx. Originally he was round like a regular Kirby character; then over time made changes: removed shoes because I dislike wearing shoes, gave him claws on feet and then arms with claws (unaware of manga Marx.), made the bow tie just for special occasions, randomly thought to myself what if I made Kirby characters not round; resulting in an anxiety attack and then major redesigns. Marx's not round redesign was in development hell for a long while, maybe even more than a year; it was a miserable time as I took my major perfectionism plunge into realistic anatomy and physiology. His body was gradually stretched out and head shrunk until I have my current design which I really like so it was worth it in the end.
Not sure why I decided that he used to be one of Kirby's species altered by Nightmare's underlings. It did add some tasty angst as I was an edgy ish teen getting into grimdark. And my decision to make him a regenerative immortal was partly based on 'how the heck could he have possibly survived Nova otherwise' and I guess partly something to do my interest in whump starting as a strangely(?) young age. He can go on all these dumb reckless adventures and reap the consequences of his actions, sometimes involving military involvement. There's also this conflict between his nature; influences, and wanting to belong; not be shunned and feared as a monster.
I'm with the group that believes that Marx had his powers before Nova. (Nova just temporarily increased his power level.) The game called his winged form his 'true form' like this was something he already had. Also how else could he have gotten to space?
I later added Magolor so he could have a permanent found family. He was more of a more serious foil until I started being on Tumblr and got influenced by others Magolors and realized how his character actually was. (How did I miss that??) Decided to have Magolor be immortal too, if he tends to join Marx on his misadventures sometimes he'd need it. Later realized this immortality kinda fits in with canon lore more than I thought, as Magolor and Marx seem to be the only antagonists who seemed to meet their ends in their original games yet come back later (there's also dark meta knight but he's not the hyperfixation).
I enjoy daydreaming with my Marx. Putting him in situations. When I watch shows I like I imagine him in there. So he gained the ability to travel to other universes. He just travels and goes on adventures. He wants to use his powers for good. To be liked. To belong somewhere. He doesn't really seem to have an end goal. Its just off to the next adventure. He's kind of purpose less, but I guess that's the point. He's searching for a purpose. He has no idea who or what he is. Magolor has a purpose. He's charting stars on the Lor; searching for his home world and to save his family and right wrongs. Maybe become a benevolent ruler to guide his species out of conflict and into peace and unity. Make sure no one else has to go through what he did when he still lived there.
My Marx is also a power fantasy thing to me. Not just the super powers. Parts of him feel like over corrections for my mental/sensory issues. I have a limited list of things I can eat, partly due to my sensitive stomach causing me pain from things, some processed stuff especially processed sugary baked goods (even just a small piece with some things) that the majority of people have no problem with. If I eat a non organic banana I feel Off. (My mom actually agrees she does too????) I can't eat oranges due to the pesticide nonsense or whatever they put on it - makes stomach hurt. (Glad to have a garden so I can at least have vegetables and strawberries some.) City water makes my stomach hurt. Lactose intolerant (why does dairy make my ears and throat itchy too????). I have contamination ocd and any thought about bugs/etc potentially being in my food makes me nauseous. My Marx can eat whatever the heck he wants, including things in the garbage and plenty of bugs. Blood and guts and old carrion? Absolutely! Drinks puddle water and is fine! No stomach aches from the biggest bunch of sugary processed mess! More sugar actually makes him more powerful! Nothing is safe! He can be filthy and sleep on the ground - he doesn't care! You adventure all the time you need to get used to a low standard of living, after all. Often what he considers a bath is just playing in a lake or river for a while. I have hyper empathy, making me distressed about fictional animals (mostly birds), and broken things, and fictional broken things, and objects in general sometimes. Marx can be all destruction and violence and hunting things in the woods to eat.
Although we share having anxiety and depression.
I like to try to enjoy my dreams, and I often end up playing as my Marx as soon as I realize I'm dreaming. Its fun to fly fast.

🤍💔🖤 for kirby
Huzzah! Why thank you anon for letting me ramble about them!
🤍 "what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?"
They don't have much empathy if any at all (No this does not inherently make him someone dangerous thankyouverymuch-), but they do try their best at understanding people, and getting in their shoes but this also means that sometimes they come across as very uncaring when in reality they just don't really understand how to react to the situation.
He might also prioritize playing and fooling around before his own responsibility. While this is okay for being able to cheering up people, this means that he can just neglect everything else that doesn't bring them joy/isn't hurting his friends.
Also, his innocent and childlike nature can sometimes make him susceptible to manipulation or deception. He may trust others too easily or fail to recognize ulterior motives, putting everyone at risk (Looking at you, Marx and Magolor…). He most of the time just assumes that everyone has good intentions, even if it's obvious that it's otherwise.
💔 "what are three of your oc's negative traits?"
Can you really have a superiority complex if you're a god among people? Either way, Kirby kinda sees most people as below him, not necessarily as people he doesn't care about, but more like pets that need his help and protection to survive, in exchange for their companionship and being fun to play with. This kinda ties in with his naivety he just doesn't assume people would genuinely want to hurt him, I mean do you expect your pet to manipulate you beyond making you feel sad for treats?
Also, for all their playful personality and their need for entertainment, they're a very sore loser. Kirby is a strong guy, and being a loser is no fun, so you're a cheater! Oh, you surely must be cheating, or at least that's what Kirby assumes every time. They did not take Dream Course very well I'll tell you that.
He can also have problems with boundaries and impatience, at first he just saw most people as toys (In his defense there's not much else to assume when you just pop out in the sky as an Eldritch God of Fun) and thus thought they'd all just be available 24/7 to play and such, but that is not the case and he grows frustrated when people don't pay attention to him (He also thinks that people can be just fixed like toys if they take any damage), kinda like your average child but he's all-powerful.
Now take in mind that all of this is mostly at the beginning of the whole story, and they learn more and more after ye good old character development.
🖤 "has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone's heart and/or broken someone's trust?"
Beyond their enemies? Mmmmh... Well, I can't quite spill the beans just yet, but let's just say that thinking that people can be easily fixed and being all-powerful with the sole purpose to have as much fun as you can for survival purposes is not a good combination...

i think one of the greatest things kirby fanartists do is pick one specific part of a character's design to draw in a particularly detailed or realistic way. like, people who draw marx with surprisingly real-looking shoes, or everyone who pulls out all the stops and draws crowned magolor's hands crazy good. it just looks Neat, y'know

Magolor and Taranza Gijinka
So I have been thinking about what certain Kirby characters would look like as humans recently, and have been trying to sketch it out! These are just sketches for now, but I am working on color version atm, as well as full body drawings. So for Magolor, I would imagine him to have a long sleeveless coat/vest thing with a hood, to emulate his on his little, fox/cat/owl body. I would imagine this is made out a of a heavy, but not thick material. The type that drapes very well, as he uses a belt buckle around his waist to create some shape with it. This would be a white color with gold accents on it.
Tumblr media
The reason I picked a sleeveless one, is to show off the undershirt! I imagine Magolor to be surprisingly toned, he IS a dimensional explorer afterall, he is no pushover! But as he is a mage, he is not a muscular person. So his shirt would be a fitted one over the arms, and I put some fun gear patterns on the shoulders! I imagine this as a deeper blue (you can see the color in that weird blob in the bottom right corner bleeding through the page) with the gear being a golden yellow.
Additionally, he wears a necklace that sits just above his collar bone, with an additional chain hanging from the middle bead that has a golden star at the end!
Not pictured is I imagine Magolor goes and does field research often, collecting samples, testing spells, etc. So not only is his clothing built for adventure (pockets!), but he has on a pair of good boots! They're shorter ones, and I'm leaning towards lace up style, with more gear insignia on the back. I think halfway through the adventure with Kirby, or maybe once Kirby and co get all the Lor pieces, they return to see that Magolor swapped shirts (and to return the pieces ya know). This once is a more flowy style, that drapes on his figure compared to the fitted one from before (though in my drawing it looks skintight haha). I'm unsure if I want to keep the deep blue color, or go for a lighter blue-grey here, to signify something is off about Magolor when Kirby returns.
Tumblr media
For his hair, at first I was imagining something half up-half down, but then I remembered that is the hairstyle I always use for Meta Knight, and that was not going to cut it. This is the part I am most iffy about, but so far I have enjoyed this messy bun! I think it pairs well with him having pretty features, and a longer nose, neck, pronounced collar bone, etc. Like even though in actuality Magolor is a round little cat guy, I enjoy picturing him as an angular pretty anime boy. Kinda a heart-throb-and-he-knows-it type. Too much of an ego on him, but well earned so you can't really bash him for it. Now for Taranza, I have less pictures, but a much more solid idea of what I want him to look like. For him I think I am staying much closer to what his in-game appearance is, but with more formality and prettiness!
Tumblr media
(Please ignore how awkward that drawing looks, I drew his head at an angle, and it looked fine in pencil, but then I inked it without giving any weight to the lines, and then I did flat colors and now he looks quite bizarre)
So he has his cape thing, which I decided was kinda a half-shoulder cape, rather than a full body one. I felt that it matched better with the idea that he works/worked for royalty. And that is reflected in how his cape is held in place by like brooches?? Idk what you actually call the equivalent for cufflinks but for a cape, but it's there.
For the rest of his outfit, I wanted it to look like a worker at the palace's uniform, but slightly fancier, so it's a fitted, collared shirt with buttons (that get bigger in the middle to match Taranza's in game design), with a belt (idk if I like the buckle or not on it), and then slightly fitted pants. He just has some slippers for now, or maybe they could be loafers, but boy is magic and flies around when he can so why need sturdy shoes?
On the same train of thought, Taranza is not very muscular, but he is quite lithe and slender. Which is part of why the formal royal uniform suits him well I think!
His hair is basically the same as his in-game, and I imagine the general shape to match Kurapika from HunterxHunter's.
