TCC Trans Lifeline Fundraiser!
The Prof from Tolarian Community College is doing a fundraiser for Trans Lifeline! Donate in multiples of $4.00 for the chance to win all sorts of prizes!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/57fe887e45c4ad8b10de0715858b054b/e96271f1f5157e53-8b/s540x810/3eb1d09e7a50f83a690c6c39c488534a8921bee3.jpg)
I'm gonna do a little tiny bit for my followers. If you donate at least $16.00 and send me proof, I will either review your deck on stream and offer improvements (or put you on blast for it, or both, your choice), or I will build you a deck FROM SCRATCH on stream based on the commander of your choice.
Send a screenshot of your donation to [email protected], and if it's at least $16 we'll discuss what you want for your stream! This goes until February 15th at 11 AM PST.

This is a weird technicality issue.
Lifelink was first introduced as a triggered ability. Look at the reminder text on Daybreak Coronet (Future Sight).
So when Loxodon Warhammer was reprinted, it was reprinted with lifelink on it, because it was accurate. Lifelink was a triggered ability at this time. All cards with the same triggered ability also got updated with lifelink virtually (in Oracle), but they weren't reprinted at this time, so they were never printed with "lifelink" written on it.
But then the rules changed and made lifelink a static ability. So that meant all the cards that had the triggered ability and had lifelink oracled in no longer matched. Almost all those cards could have lifelink oracled out fine. And they were.
But Loxodon Warhammer already got printed with lifelink the keyword. So it had to be decided whether it would lose the keyword, making the latest print of the card inaccurate, or it would lose the triggered part of the ability, making the previous, pre-lifelink prints inaccurate. They went with the latter.
Why was loxodon warhammer errata’d to give lifelink instead of a triggered ability like it was when it came out? This especially confuses me since other cards worded the same way as LW originally was WEREN’T errata’d to give lifelink, and still are triggered abilities
Our philosophy on functional errata has changed over time. We do it much less now than we once did.

Did you see that Magic: the Gathering now has a game state in which you need to prove that there are an infinite number of twin primes to win? I can explain it more if you are interested.
(With reference to this post here.)
By all means, please tell us about the Magic: the Gathering combo which requires proving the twin prime conjecture in order to win.

imagine you're a 1/1 soldier hanging out with your other soldier buddies and an opponent casts like a cyclonic rift and you're like "haha guys back to the hand we go!" and they all turn and wordlessly give you the saddest look and you notice they're all named something like stalwart protector or legion initiate and you're just named soldier, and your skin starts to feel really thin and your insides feel hollow, and the cyc rift is moving down the stack and players are passing priority, you realize you're not even human like the others you're just a soldier. and then someone force of wills the cyc rift, and you're back to being fine, you untap, you're declared as an attacker, but you're a little more hesitant than normal because you know when you die there will be no grave for you

Did Tumblr know magic: the Gathering has a buff ogre woman who does time magic through brute force? And has some of the most unique effects in the game? I feel like that's something Tumblr would appreciate.

My husband made a Dungeon Meshi-themed Magic the Gathering deck, and I had the honor of making him a custom card for his commander (a reskinned Korvold, Fae-Cursed King)

Feldon of the Third Path is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of storytelling in Magic: The Gathering.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/007156af4391625fe730b1f7d1fc29d0/ee508895198093c7-89/s540x810/0f43cdaae6ec3181f7a4c92463c73a71e611b92e.jpg)
Every part of this card comes together to tell you Feldon's story without ever overtly saying anything.
The art depicts him as a sturdy man, used to labor, and the workshop around him supports that. His hair is dark, but his beard is gray. He's getting older, but there's life in him yet. He gazes intensely at at the machined face of an automaton's head.
His ability doesn't do anything so gauche as bringing a card back from the graveyard. No, he targets a card in the graveyard -- someone, something that has died -- and and creates a copy, a facsimile, that's an artifact in addition to whatever it was before. But his creation is imperfect. It doesn't last. At the end of the turn, you sacrifice the copy. Greater magics than what Feldon posseses are required to make it stay more than a moment.
And then the flavor text. "She will come back to me." Powerful. Defiant. Sorrowful. Broken? Who can say, we haven't heard Feldon himself speak the words. But he lost someone, and he is determined, driven to bring her back the only way he knows how.
We're never told what the first two paths are, even if we can assume, but Feldon very clearly indicates what the Third Path is.

So uh, if you want to know what Wizards of the Coast is up to, they allegedly sent the Pinkertons (a private security guard, which is a fancy way to say for-hire thugs) to the person who leaked a Magic: The Gathering set. Who wasn't under a NDA or anything (not that it'd justify said measures).
The Pinkertons went to his home, threatened to put him in jail, seized a bunch of his stuff and made his wife cry.

Anyways, uh, I wonder if there's still gonna be bootlickers trying to defend WOTC on this?
(Reblogs for awareness are appreciated!)

So recently WotC released this announcement regarding Universes Beyond being legal in MtG formats going forward from 2025.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a87dce46463c9ef10f766a11015a48e3/445a6f46fb2df71e-11/s540x810/b03ef8930f9dd945d442393a10bf386595777df0.jpg)
And this is honestly the opposite of what I wanted to hear. I was looking for how to deal with avoiding UB in Commander. And I had hoped that UB and non-UB would get different formats. Because I don't want to play with UB all the time. I didn't come to MtG to play an IP blender mashup game. I came for the setting, lore, and flavor of the MtG setting I have come to love. I want to play the game that is about those settings, not a game that's about an IP crossover brawl.
I know I'm probably not alone in this, but I feel like we are not being listened to. I hope @wizardsmagic is listening and gives some space to the players like me in the community, but now I'm just sad it is a lot harder to play the game I like and be a player in the community.
I had recently started going to LGSs for MtG events again, but now I'll be reconsidering continuing that, because who is going to have decks without UB when all official formats allow UB stuff? Not to mention the increase in proportion of UB sets proposed. No point bringing a deck to stores or conventions for pick up games because no one will likely have a deck without UB.
-signed, a sad Vorthos
(had to recreate this whole post after apparently losing it to the void, hopefully it works this time)

HUGE WIN FOR THE FURRIES
#magic: the gathering#furry#mtg#wilds of eldraine#mtgwoe#also we have no way of knowing for sure (as far as i’m aware‚ at least) but i’m going to assume the beast is a guy until proven otherwise#because we need more gay furries in this game *coughs loudly near a wotc employee and looks pointedly in the direction of a certain leonin*
