sorry this is really long but i absolutely love x reader fics because who tf wouldn’t??🤨 like you’re literally reading about what it’s like for YOU to do stuff with your fictional crush seriously how could anyone not want that? before i discovered fan fiction i didn’t have a problem with reading regular books where it’s in first person and the narrator is obviously not you it’s just the character the author created it’s like you’re living someone else’s life but i had no clue what any type of fan fiction was let alone x reader but x reader fics are literally all about you which i love and now i can’t read books the same anymore i would much rather read x reader fanfiction when i was in 8th grade i found fanfiction but it was on wattpad and 99% of all the stuff i read were random made up characters with face claims and names and i didn’t really like that then i found tumblr and most of the stuff is x reader and once i really started reading that i couldn’t go back i just don’t understand how people would rather read a story where it’s not actually from their point of view if that makes sense like it’s third person of other peoples’ relationships or lives (for example frank x matt, steve x bucky, etc) or just from a random characters point of view because x reader is basically like you in your desired reality how could you not want that?
i can understand why people don’t but i’ve always been a x reader girlie since i was reading one direction & magcon fanfic lmao for me the appeal was definitely imagining myself in those situations but it felt weird for some reason to think of other characters? idk why tho bc i know there are a lot of good character x character stuff
i also wanna read the hunger games one that is all from peeta’s point of view?? like omg i must i just dont know where to find it or what its called ://

The Runner
Chapter Seventeen (Ashley)
“Sam, I just want to go to bed.” I said as he pushed passed me.
He went directly for the living room and ignored me. I really had no choice but to listen to him since I knew he wouldn’t leave until I did. He sat there with his hands together as he rested his arms on his thighs. He looked at the ground, took a deep breath before standing up.
“We tried to stop you.” He said, looking at me.
I stood there confused as I tried to figure out what he was talking about but I couldn’t.
“What?” I asked.
“Well...Nate tried to stop you.”
“Stop me from what?”
Sam started pacing as he tried to find the words. If this was such a big deal, I don’t understand why Sam was even doing it. Clearly it’s something he shouldn’t be saying but it’s too late now. There’s no way I’m letting him leave without explaining.
“He tried to stop you from getting on that plane three years ago. None of us wanted you to go so Nate and I headed to the airport to stop you but by the time we got there, you had already taken off. We were too late.”
“He was there...” I said.
I meant to say it to myself since I really needed to understand the situation. I sat at in the airport for so long, waiting for him before giving up and checking in. I needed to hear the word “Stay” come from his mouth to convince myself it was the right decision but when he didn’t show, I took that as a sign that LA was where I needed to be.
“And whatever he told you in the closet tonight, he was going to tell you in the airport three years ago but he never got the chance. Ash, Nate lo-”
“Wait,” I said, cutting Sam off. “What are you talking about? Nate didn’t know Bailey back then...”
“Okay...now I’m confused.” Sam said. “What did Nate say to you in the closet?”
“That he actually wants to make things work with Bailey...”
I watched as Sam’s eye widened and I couldn’t help but think that was how I looked when Nate told me. I didn’t think the day would come where Nate would actually want to be faithful to someone but if it was going to be anyone, I’m glad he’s doing it with my best friend. The thought of her getting hurt by him made me want to kill him.
“I’ve got to go.” Sam said, running out of the house.
I stood in my living room and didn’t know what to do. This whole situation was confusing me and I didn’t understand what I was supposed to do next. Should I let it go? Should I talk to Nate about it? I headed upstairs to get ready for bed when my phone went off.
“It’s official! I’m dating Nate!”
If you’ve ever had your heart broken, you know exactly how I’m feeling right now.

Truth Untold | Shawn Mendes Fanfiction | Chapter Eight
Truth Untold Master List
Chapter Eight
The time for the barbecue rolled around, and I was heading there with Lily and Jess. We were just finished getting ready and about to head to camp. I pressed my lips together and smoothed out my top, with strange butterflies in my stomach.
I was nervous for some reason, and I tried not to think about why. My phone buzzed. It was Liam.
Liam: You heading here soon?
The stomach in my pit grew. The heated conversation with him about my growing friendship with Shawn was still fresh in my mind. I felt terrible, and I needed to sort it out with him at this barbecue.
I quickly replied and then looked over at Jess.
“So, you excited for tonight?” I asked.
“Yeah,” she replied. “I’m not sure if I was imagining things, but I think Shawn seemed kind of into me the other day.”
I nodded. “Yeah, I guess.”
“But you know him better.”
“No,” I said, shaking my head. “I really don’t know him well at all. Your guess is as good as mine.”
Jess just nodded, as we got in Lily’s car. Lily looked over at me with suspicion, and I avoided her glance.
I feel like I knew what she was thinking, and I didn’t want her to pursue any sort of conversation.
As we rolled into camp, the sun was setting. There was a rose gold glow coming from the centre of the grounds, where the fire was roaring and blankets were set out. The staff barbecue was always a huge blowout, with live music and dancing.
“Alex!” I heard from behind. I turned around and saw Liam.
“Hey!” I said, giving him a kiss. He smiled sombrely at met, and I knew he was still feeling upset about earlier. “Liam, you know I love you, right?”
“I know,” he replied.
“There’s absolutely nothing to worry about with Shawn. Jess likes him anyways, and I’m pretty sure he’s into her.”
“Did you warn her?”
I nodded.
He shrugged. “I don’t know how many more girls will fall for him before they realize how much of an asshole he is.”
I didn’t respond to that. I don’t know why, but a fiery sense inside me wanted to defend Shawn. To say he was a kind person. But, he did break Emily’s heart. I was so conflicted.
I wish I didn’t have these thoughts rolling around in my head. I had Liam. That’s it. That’s all I needed.
“I’m going to go say hey to Malcolm,” Liam said, and I nodded. He kissed me and went to see the boys just rolling in.
“You and Liam okay?” Lily asked behind me.
I turned around. “Oh, uh, yeah. We’re cool. How’s you and Malcolm?”
She grinned. “Oh, we’re good.”
I nodded, smiling, as we both looked around at the party.
“So, you going to do some matchmaking tonight with Jess and Shawn?” she asked, raising her eyebrows.
“Yeah, sure,” I said.
She stared at me for a little while longer. She’s known me for too long, and I was afraid if she kept staring, she would see right into my thoughts.
“You know,” she continued on. “If for any reason at all, you don’t like them together, you should say it now.”
“I already told her about what he did to Emily,” I responded.
“Not that,” she shook her head.
“What other reason would there be?”
She looked at me, and I could tell she wanted to say something. She was wondering if she should, and then she thought better of it.
“No reason,” she replied. Then, she turned her head to the fire pit and nodded towards someone. I turned around to see what she was looking at.
Shawn had arrived, and he was grinning widely as he put ketchup on his hamburger. He was joking around and laughing.
“There he is,” Lily said. “Why don’t you go help Jess out?”
“Why not,” I smiled. But, every part of me was dreading this.
No, this was me being a good friend. Forget these weird, mixed up feelings I was having about Shawn. If Shawn and Jess dated, it would get him off my mind, and I could go back to normal.
I walked over to him, as he was finishing up a conversation with one of the other counsellors. He turned to see me, and he smiled.
“Oh hey partner,” he greeted.
“Hey,” I said, smiling back.
“Want a burger?” he asked.
“Oh yeah, the one on your plate looks good.”
“Oh no, this is a burger crafted carefully by me, for me,” he replied, jokingly.
“King of the burgers.”
“Burger King, if you will,” he laughed. “So, guess what?”
“What?”
It was nice having a normal conversation with Shawn. It was so easy to just talk to him and be friendly.
“They asked me to play some songs at this barbecue,” he said. I was genuinely excited for him.
“Really? That’s awesome, Shawn!”
“Yeah, I’m about to go practice. You play guitar?”
“A little,” I admitted. “I taught myself how to play a few years ago.”
“Whoa, really? Come,” he gestured. We walked over to some of the blankets that were set up, and his guitar was laying on one of them.
He picked it up and sat down. Looking up at me, he patted the ground.
“You going to join me?” he wondered. I looked over at Jess, and she was glancing over at us.
I paused. I was having a moment of conflict. Did I want to sit down beside him and play music with him? Yes. But, I had to be a good friend.
Then, I saw Liam, who was also turning his head towards me. I could tell he looked confused. I couldn’t hurt him more than I have. Especially, after he saw me and Shawn at camp acting friendly. Even though it was completely harmless.
“Alex?” Shawn asked.
“Uh, no,” I said.
“What?”
“Jess!” I shouted to my friend, gesturing her over. She grinned and walked over. “I totally forgot, Jess loves guitar.”
“She does?” he asked, confused.
“Mhmm,” I responded. Jess was now standing by the blankets, and I put my arm around her. “What a coincidence. Jess, Shawn was just about to practice some songs he’s about to play for the campfire tonight. I told him you love guitar.”
“Oh yeah,” she nodded. “Mind if I join?”
Shawn’s lips twitched upwards in that infamous half-smile of his. “Not at all. Here, take a seat.”
Okay, my job was done. Now, just back away and let them enjoy their time together. I started to turn away.
“Alex, you leaving?” Shawn asked.
My heart skipped a beat. “Oh yeah. I’m going to say hey to someone.”
I started walking away to head over to Liam, where I should be. Liam looked relieved that I was just helping Jess, Jess was with Shawn, and all was right with the world. My conscience was clear.
For now.

Requested:Yes/No Song(s):None Warning(s):None Summary:She’s the new girl in town, and Cameron feels like it’s his job to make her feel comfortable with him and the rest of the group.
Hey love, this didn't come out the way I wanted but it’s way better than what I had before. Hope you like it. @thoughtfullyyoungduck
She was nervous, she had been all morning and now knowing that the people she would be stuck with for God knows how long were behind this door made her sick. She bite down on her lip as she was lead through the doors and laughter was heard. Her eyes followed each one of them, as they ran across the room. They were energetic and loud, and she was tamed and quiet. Lots of thoughts ran through her head before one of them walked over to her.
“Hi!”
She blinked before offering him a soft smile.
“Hello.”
“You must be Y/N, Bart was telling us you would be join us for this leg of the tour." He stated as she nodded her heading searching for Bart who had seemed to disappear. “I’m Aaron by the way.” He flashed her a soft smile.
It had been three weeks since she had officially joined Magcon and had still felt on the outside. It’s not that She didn’t like the boys, that certainly wasn’t it. She was just finding it hard to get comfortable with them, she felt as though they didn’t like her. It was one of those strange days where everything was still and not much was going on, she had planned to stay in her hotel room and catch up on some shows she was majorly behind. Three episodes into Game of Thrones someone knocked on her door. Sighing, she stood up and opened it to come face to face with Cameron.
“I was wondering if you wanted to go have a cup of coffee or something..” He stated as she blinked slightly confused. “I just noticed how on edge you were and thought that maybe I could help..”
A soft chuckle left her lips as she nodded her head and moved to the side allowing him in. “Yeah of course, let me just get changed into something more suitable..” She smiled as he felt relief wash through his body.
The two didn’t go too far seeing as their was a coffee shop about a block away from their hotel. In recored timing they were both seated in the back with a cup of coffee and a muffin each. Cameron had asked a few questions, just simple getting to you type of questions while giving her a bit of background facts on each of the guys. He learned things about her as she learned things about him.
“You know you're really cool..” He stated once they got back to the hotel. A slight blush casted its way onto her face.
“Thank’s Cam, you’re not so bad yourself.” She joked as he rolled his eyes with a smile on his lips.
“Promise to not be a stranger?”
“Promise..” She whispered as he smiled. “Thank you by the way..” She added as they waited for elevator.
“For what?"
“For helping me feel a bit more relaxed..”
“No problem babe, we’re friends I'll be here when you need me.”

What now? - Chapter 18
Cameron Dallas fanfic - Sequel to I’m not that kind of girl
Word count: 1′675
Previous Chapter
„How could you be so irresponsible?“ I heard her through the door as I tried to focus on peeing on a fucking stick. „You know. I told you like a billion times that protection comes first but who would ever listen to me?“ She practically shouted at me. „Don’t give me the bullshit excuse: It was a heated moment. Because no heated moment would have stopped me or Ethan to be like: Oh we should wrap it up, huh?“ I sighed.
„But no. You and mister hotshot couldn’t think straight because you are oh so in love. God damn it Y/N.“ I was prepared for her rambling on longer but she stopped right there and than. I finished my business, washed my hands and stepped out of the bathroom. „Five minutes to go.“ I sighed walking past her. „What are you going to do if… you know?“ She sat down on her bed and I sat next to her.
„I don’t know. I still have one year in college. I’m too young for this. Cameron has too many responsibilities than to care of a freaking child.“ I sighed as I laid back my legs dangling off the edge. „What if I am pregnant and he doesn’t want anything to do with me?“ I closed my eyes as they began to tear up. „Come on. He’s not that kind of asshole.“ Sam tried to console. I said tried. „Did you ever even talk about kids? I mean you’ve been together for quite some time.“ I sighed remembering my nightmare a few nights ago.
„Yeah. But that’s nothing we want now.“ We just laid there until the timer went off. I slowly got up from the bed dreading what would come next. Before I could even get a peek of the result Sam stopped me. „Listen, before you do anything you have to know what you’re gonna do next.“ She held my hand. It was comforting. „What are you going to do if it’s positive?“ I took a few breaths thinking about it.
„I’m gonna tell him, easy.“ I shrugged. „Are you sure? Would you keep it?“ She eyed me. Would I keep it? My thoughts wandered to beautiful picture. A little baby girl in Cameron’s arms. They stood in a spacious garden. She was all dressed up and he smiled at her as if she was everything he needed in life. He looked content. I sighed. „I don’t know.“ With that she let go of my hand.
I grabbed the test and looked at the result. Before I knew it I packed it in my bag and rushed out of Sam’s apartment. „Y/N! Why are you rushing?“ I heard Sam shout behind me. Sam was right. I should have thought about what would be next. Because right now everything was blank. I rushed back to his place. I should tell him. I should, right?
I was in such a rush I didn’t see anything until I stood in his apartment. He looked confused. He was definitely confused. „Y/N. What is it? Did you just run a mile? You’re so out of breath.“ He chuckled but the frown on his face was not accommodating to that. I just dropped my bag and hugged him. Tight. „Hey hey. Are you okay?“ He spoke in a hushed tone.
I didn’t respond. I just tried to pull him closer though it was not possible. „Are you trying to break my bones?“ He mumbled into my hair a light chuckle leaving his mouth. „Talk to me. Please, tell me what’s wrong.“ He begged. „Was it something with Sam? Did you guys have a fight?“ He questioned. God, he was too good for me. I shook my head. „Did something happen on the way here?“ Yet again I shook my head.
My ear was against his chest. I could hear his heart beat. It was thumping hard. Did I make him nervous? Was that the effect I had on him? Sooner or later I had to pull away from him so I decided to do it sooner. „When are you going to Europe?“ I looked him in the eyes. He still looked as confused as when I first got here.
„Uhm.“ He was taken aback. „In a week or two. I’ll be back in June.“ He lifted his hands to cup my face. „What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?“ I gulped. I had to decide. Now. What do I do? „Come on. You gotta help me out here.“ He forced a light smile in order to give me some sort of comfort.
„Cameron.“ I rested my hand on his. „Y/N.“ He smirked at me. I sighed. „I love you.“ He kissed my forehead. „And I love you.“ He was so patient and kind. God. I can’t ruin his life. His career. Everything. „What’s on your mind?“ He asked again. „I wasn’t at Sam’s because of an emergency.“ He tilted his head. „Well actually if I think about it it was an emergency but it had nothing to do with the wedding or Sam.“ I didn’t dare to avoid his eyes. I needed to know what he would think.
„Okay. Just tell me. Was it because of Europe? I know I pissed you off and I’m sorry, alright? I’ll make it up to you. I’ll do any-“ I interrupted him. „No. It wasn’t your fault. I guess it somehow is but the most part’s on me.“ He dropped his hands from my face. „You are worse than all these shows where they go to commercials just before the big reveal. Just please get to the point.“ He sighed.
I took a deep breath. „Why don’t we sit down?“ I lightly smiled at him pulling him to the couch. „What kind of bomb are you dropping?“ He chuckled. A big one buddy. He stroke up my thigh making me feel all giddy inside. „I was at Sam’s because I had a suspicion about something. Turns out I was right, well I think.“ He raised his eyebrows. „And that suspicion was?“
„Cameron. I might be pregnant.“  And with that his expression fell blank. His hand stopped mid thigh. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t move. He might have stopped breathing. „Cameron? Please say something.“ I instinctively grabbed his hand. His eyes were on me but it didn’t feel like he was looking at me. His thoughts were way beyond this place. He didn’t even blink for a while and I was considering calling 911 because it seemed like he died for a moment. But after a good minute it looked like he was breathing again and he even blinked.
„Are you-“ He stopped. He took a breather. Squeezed my hand. „Are you sure?“ His eyes moved to my stomach. „I took a test at Sam’s. It was positive. But I’d have to go to the doctors. To confirm it.“ He got up and pulled me with him. „Let’s go than.“ I still didn’t know what he felt. Was he mad? Was he glad? Was he even okay? „Cameron wait.“ But that didn’t stop him from just pulling me along. We were nearly out of the flat when I finally yanked my hand away.
„Cameron.“ I pleaded. He turned to look at me. „Can we talk about this?“ He slowly nodded. „What are you thinking?“ He stepped closer pulling me to him. „When did this even happen? When did we-“ He groaned. „I haven’t had my period and I should have had it two weeks ago. And I’m like motherfucking clockwork, alright.“ He chuckled. „Remember before Valentine’s when you were in New York?“ I asked.
His eyes lit up in realization. „Shower.“ I nodded. „Shower.“ A light smirk formed on his lips at the thought of it. We just stood there for a while not saying anything. „We’re both in this. Together.“ He finally spoke. „Whatever happens. I mean it’s not even confirmed yet, right?“ I sighed and nodded. He squeezed my hand. „Lets just go to the doctors now, so we know for sure.“  I nodded again.
We went to the hospital. He held my hand tight while resting it on my lap. The car ride was quiet. I couldn’t stop but think of endless scenarios. Me not being pregnant. Me being pregnant. Him leaving me. Me leaving him. Us dying in a car crash on the way there. On the way back. That would solve the problem though if we’re being real.
I was so invested in my mind that I didn’t even realized we arrived until he opened my door and pulled me out. I filled out the forms and we were sat in the waiting room. Cameron was on his phone, checking twitter. So I decided I’d do the same.

Sam: you good gurl? you need help?
I sighed and answered her quickly with a: yeah everything’s fine. call you later.
Luke: just checking up on you as promised. Are you feeling any better now?
I looked up from my phone to Cameron. It looked like he was invested in his phone but it was just mindless and endless scrolling without any recognition of what was on his timeline. He was deep in thoughts. Was he thinking of leaving me? Was he thinking of not going on tour? I would always wonder what was going through his head. I would never know.
Y/N: everything’s fine. thank you. sorry again.
With that I locked my phone and leant my head on Cameron’s shoulder. His head almost immediately fell onto mine as he sighed. „I love you. You know that, right?“ That he even had to ask if I knew. „Of course I know and I love you.“ I sighed and left a small kiss on his shoulder.
We sat there playing the waiting game. We didn’t talk. I think we were both just too much in our head, thinking of endless possibilities how this could end. What if it was just a false alarm?
Next Chapter
A/N: so sorry about this. i really don’t know where to go with this anymore. I should’ve never started a sequel .-.

Get the Girl
A/N: This is based on How You Get the Girl by Taylor Swift. To be honest I’ve been wanting to write this for a while. It is going to be broken up into sections, based on the song. The words in italics are lyrics. I would suggest listening to the song while reading this.
Warning(s): Light swearing
Word Count: 978
Tumblr media
It was storming quite heavily outside when you hear the doorbell ring. You toss your blanket to the side of the couch and pause the tv. You wonder who is crazy enough to be outside in a storm like this. When you open the door, you see Shawn standing there. He is absolutely soaked, as if he ran here.
“Shawn are you insane? It’s pouring out there!” You say as you pull him into your house.
“It’s just been so long since I’ve seen you,” Shawn began to say “And I just got back from tour and...”
“And you decided the fasts way to get here was to run?” You ask, grabbing him a towel from the closest bathroom.
“No it’s just... I don’t know...” Shawn said beginning to mumble.
And you were too afraid to tell her what you want.
“Is everything okay Shawn? You look like you are freezing. My brother has some clothes upstairs you could change into.” You say, very concerned for the boy.
Shawn just shook his head and finished drying off as best as he could. When he was done he returned the towel to the bathroom, where it belonged. Shawn knew where everything in your house belonged. He practically lived here when he wasn’t on tour. You were his best friend.
“I actually came to tell you something” Shawn began to say, hesitating slightly.
“How about you tell me while I make you some warm tea?” You offer, grabbing his hand to lead him into the kitchen.
“No, I need to tell you this now.” Shawn insists, separating his hand from yours.
“I don’t like you as just a friend anymore. In fact, I’ve liked you as more than a friend for quite some time now,” Shawn said
“Good, so you it wouldn’t be awkward if I did this” you say as you pull Shawn into a kiss.
“I don’t think you get it Shawn,” your voice starts to rise with every word you say “I don't think you get how hard it is for me to sit here at home, thousands of miles away from you. When you are on tour and are surrounded by attractive girls practically drooling over you. Why do you not understand why I am so jealous?”
“You made the choice to leave me and go home when I was on tour! I don’t see how you are jealous considering you made the decision to leave!” Shawn stated, trying not to yell back at you.
When you left her all alone and never told her why
“I would have stayed on tour with you if every night after a show you didn’t go out with your crew! It made me feel like you didn’t want me there with you. We never spent any time together.” You barely choke out the last words as tears began to fall down your face.
Shawn walked over to you and brushed a tear off your face with his thumb. He gave you a small kiss on the nose and walked over to his carry on and pulled out a small object. He walks over to you and hands you a picture frame. Inside is a small picture of you and Shawn. He was giving you a kiss on the cheek, and you were blissfully smiling.
“I got this made for you. To remind you of how things used to be before we fought.” Shawn said softly.
You look up at Shawn with burning red eyes. Without hesitation, you throw the frame to the ground. Glass goes flying everywhere, and Shawn takes a step back.
“How thing used to be Shawn. They aren’t like that anymore” You scream at him.
“What the hell?” Shawn yells at you.
He balls up his fists, and starts to walk towards the door in an angry rage. He opens the door, almost knocking it off its hinges. Before he leaves, he turns around and yells at you.
“I am tired of this shit you always pull. You always want to fight about something. Maybe I left every night when I was on tour because you were being a bitch! We are done. I am tired of this. I am tired of you.” Shawn yells, slamming the door.
You hear your brother open the door and let someone in the house, but you choose to ignore it. You haven’t left the couch since Shawn had broken your heart almost a week ago. Wrapped in a cocoon of blankets you change the channel looking for something decent to watch.
“Hey” you hear a familiar voice say.
You almost don’t turn around at first. It can’t be him. There is no way he came back here.
“I came here to apologize. Those things I said, they were terrible things. I didn’t mean any of them.” Shawn said, walking around to face the front of the couch where you were.
“But yet you still said them” You mutter, avoiding eye contact.
“Yes I did say them. But I want you. I want you for better and for worse.” Shawn confessed, sitting down next to you.
“There seems to be a lot of worse in our relationship.” You murmured, pulling the blankets more tightly around your body.
“Look I lost my mind,” Shawn said “but I can tell by your body language that you don’t want me to be here. I can just leave if you want me to.”
Shawn began to stand up, when you reached out and grabbed his hand.
“I don’t want you to go Shawn” you say to him, finally looking into his eyes.
Shawn sits down next to you, and you rest your head on his shoulder.
“Remind me of how it used to be” you say softly, laying your hand on his shoulder.
And that’s how it works that’s how you got the girl.

The Runner
Chapter Fifteen (Nate)
I laid there in bed and I couldn’t figure out how I got here. The party wasn’t too crowded but the boys and I always go hard no matter what. Everything became a blur the second I saw Ash with Colt. She deserves better...
The only thing I can’t understand is why I think we would be good together. Colt is a good guy, I don’t think he’d cheat on her but I can’t stand the thought of her being with him in the way she should be with me. But I know I won’t treat her the way she deserves and it kills me.
“Nate...” She said as she walked out of the bathroom. “What are you thinking about?”
I looked over at her as she leaned against the door frame, looking as perfect as ever. Her hair was still wavy from last night and the way she looked in my t-shirt...I could stare at her all day.
“Come on, what’s on your mind?” She said, making her way back to the bed. She straddled me and placed her hands on my chest while waiting for a response.
But I didn’t have one. At least, not one I could share with her. I really care for Bailey but I even mentioned anything about Ash, I know she’d drop me in a second and I don’t think I could handle that.
“I’m thinking about how much I like this...right here.” I lied, placing my hands on her waist.
She let out a smile before leaning down to kiss me. Unfortunately...all I was thinking about was Ash.
(Johnson)
“We need to fix this.” I said as the boys and I were still hanging around the house.
Colt left to finish up some homework so I knew it was the perfect time to bring it up. We need to find a way to get Nate and Ash to at least have a conversation about how they feel. Air everything out.
“How?” Swazz asked, without even asking what I was talking about.
Everyone knows the situation and everyone knows it’s not supposed to be like this.
“It seems like they’re pissed off with each other again anyway, what’s the point?” Jack asked.
“The point is, they love each other. They’re meant to be and if we can help get them to realize that, I’m in.” Sam said.
“Are we really going to do this? It might cause more damage...”
“Yeah,” I said, looking at a worried Swazz. “We’re really going to do this.”

Truth Untold | Shawn Mendes Fanfiction | Chapter Seven
I’m sorry for the hiatus, but I’m back with chapter seven of my Shawn Mendes fanfiction!
Chapter seven
I wasn’t sure how to even begin to broach the subject of Shawn and Jess. We’d only known each other for a few weeks really and already have had so much happen. I’ve seen him devastated, we’ve been tense, we’ve been awkward, we’ve been friends.
So was I supposed to just say ‘Hey Shawn, I know you and I have a complicated relationship, but what do you think of dating my friend Jess?’
No, no, that would be too weird. I think.
It was the next day at camp, and one day before the barbecue. Shawn and I were actually okay with one another right now. There was this mutual understanding that we would do our jobs and try to be nice. Because what else could we do?
“You’ve been quiet today,” Shawn said, as we were walking to the kids to their next activity.
“Have I?” I asked.
He nodded. “Anything on your mind?”
“No, not really,” I said, shaking my head. “Why do you ask?”
He shrugged. “Oh, I don’t know. I mean, Harry and Hannah told me my hair was too tall, and you didn’t even snort.”
“I do not snort!”
“Uh, yeah you do,” he said, with a cheeky smile.
I hit him playfully, and he laughed.
“What?” he asked, gleefully.
“You don’t tell a girl she snorts!”
“Why? It’s cute!”
“It’s not cute,” I said, trying to suppress a smile.
“It is. You’re a cute snorter. There I said it.”
I rolled my eyes, this time grinning widely. I shoved him again, and he smirked.
“You know -” he started to say.
“Alex!” we heard someone shout from behind.
I spun around, and I knew it was Liam. And he didn’t look too pleased. I glanced over at Shawn, and he went back to that distant look on his face.
I couldn’t help but feel my heart sink because we were getting along. But, I knew that was crazy to think about when I had a pretty peeved boyfriend right there.
“I’ll be right back,” I said to Shawn. He didn’t say anything, or at least, I didn’t hear if he did.
I walked over to Liam, and he had his brown hair pushed back and his hands shoved into his pocket. His eyebrows were furrowed together.
“Hey,” I said, smiling, trying to act as if everything is normal.
“Are you friends with him now or something?” Liam asked.
“What?” I asked, nervously. I tried to sound shocked or offended he would even ask, but I think it came about a bit weaker than intended.
“Alex,” he said.
“No, Liam,” I said. “No, why would you even think that?”
“What am I supposed to think? I hear you went bowling with him on Friday from Peter, and now I see you…joking around, laughing with him.”
“Bowling?” I said. My stomach twisted. “I went bowling with Lily because she was trying to hang out with Malcolm.”
“But he was there?”
I stuttered over my words. “Uh, well, he just happened to be there. I didn’t fraternize with him or anything.”
He shook his head. “Why didn’t you tell me you guys are hanging out?”
“We are not hanging out! He was just there, Liam,” I said. I glanced over at Shawn briefly, and he was staring back at us intently. He quickly turned away and resumed tending to the campers.
Liam looked at me, and I could see some sort of hurt in his eyes and I couldn’t help but feel extremely bad. How would I feel if I saw him joking with a girl I hated?
“Liam, I’m sorry. I should’ve told you, but I really didn’t even talk to him at all at bowling. We’re not friends. We don’t even really acknowledge each other half the time.”
“It doesn’t look like that to me,” he mumbled.
“I love you, Liam. I wouldn’t try to hurt you,” I said, pleadingly. “Okay?”
He didn’t answer that.
“Look, I gotta get back to my campers,” he said.
“Liam?”
“I’ll see you later.”
I watched him walk away, and I felt this awful feeling, like a knife was twisting in my gut. I was so conflicted, and I didn’t know what to do. I should run after him, but he wouldn’t listen to me right now. I would call him tonight and try to go over and explain everything.
I went on to swimming, where the kids’ next activities were, and I noticed Shawn with Harry. He was giving him goggles.
I walked over to him, crossing my arms.
“Hey,” Shawn said.
“Alex, are you gonna watch my dive in the pool?” Harry asked, the little kid jumping up and down.
“Of course!” I said, ruffling his curly hair. He beamed and then went on his way to the pool.
“He’s a cutie,” I murmured to no one in particular.
Shawn nodded. He looked over at me, slightly opening his mouth to say something, but then thought better of it.
“Go ahead,” I said.
I don’t know what willed me to speak, but I had a burning sensation that just forced the word vomit out of me.
“What?” he said, surprised.
“Say whatever you were thinking,” I nodded.
“I didn’t know I was allowed to.”
“Of course you are,” I said. “I just don’t have to agree with it.”
He laughed. “Oh, well in that case, let me tell you my deepest thoughts.”
I let myself smile, but I really had this pit in my stomach. If I didn’t want to hurt Liam, why should I still talk to Shawn?
I shouldn’t. That was the simple answer. But, I had to. I wanted to. I craved to, and I had no idea why.
I couldn’t even admit that to myself really, not in a full thought or sentence. I pushed down this feeling and thought about the bigger picture. Liam was my boyfriend. I loved him. I will always be with him. Right?
“Alex?” Shawn asked.
I looked over at him. Before he could say another word, I heard a laugh from my right. I turned around to see Jess walking with Malcolm.
“Hey Alex!” Jess said, seeing me. I smiled at her.
“Oh hey Jess,” I said, warmly.
“Hey Jess,” Shawn said, and he gave her a hug. I saw Jess’s face light up and she raised her eyebrows at me.
Great, she probably thinks I’ve already started to the lay down the ground work. Little does she know, I’m avoiding the topic of her liking him. I was the worst friend officially.
“How’s it going, Malcolm?” Shawn patted his friend on the back.
“Hey you two,” Malcolm greeted, slyly. Ugh, I knew what he was thinking.
“Are you going to the staff barbecue Wednesday?” Jess asked Shawn, pushing her hair behind her ears.
“Yeah, for sure,” he answered. “Will I see you there?”
She beamed. “Of course.”
“Okay good,” he responded.
I don’t know why, but my stomach dropped. I didn’t like seeing them like this. So friendly right in front of me. Which was an insane thought, since he wasn’t even mine. He wasn’t even remotely mine at all, in any sense of being a friend.
So why? Why did I have to feel this way?
“See you then,” she said, turning away and chatting with Malcolm.
I had to admit, that was very cool, calm, and collected.
“She’s cute,” Shawn said, nodding towards Jess.
My body froze. Don’t say anything. Because what I wanted to say wasn’t in favour of helping Jess. God, what was wrong with me?
“Jess? Oh yeah,” I managed.
“She seeing anyone?”
“Not sure.”
I don’t know what the heck compelled me to say that. Every inch of my mind was screaming at me to say the truth, but something else was leading my mouth in the opposite direction.
“Oh, she might be dating someone?”
“I don’t know,” I lied again.
“Aren’t you guys best friends?”
I laughed. Why am I laughing? This was not funny.
Shawn cleared his throat. “You think you could find out for me?”
I furrowed my eyebrows. I tried to look very chill.
“Oh, why?” I asked. Why did I say that? Why wouldn’t I just say that she was interested?
He chuckled. “Because she’s cute. Think she’d be interested?”
Yes! Yes, of course! My job here is done!
I cleared my throat, stalling for time. Why couldn’t I just say yes? What was it about him that made me want to say no?
“Oh, um,” I said, a little flustered. “I, um, I don’t know. I think she was pretty into Michael, but I can ask.”
He nodded and shrugged. “Okay, well, no worries. Mike’s my boy, I wouldn’t want to get in the way of that.”
Before I could even respond to take back the last idiotic sentence that left my mouth, he had turned away to tend to another camper.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but it could only go down from here.

What now? - Chapter 17
Cameron Dallas fanfic - Sequel to I’m not that kind of girl
Word count: 1′958
Previous Chapter
„That’s the perfect dress!“ I squealed as Sam slowly stepped forward to look at herself in the mirror. „Oh god. This is it.“ She quietly said as she sniffles lightly. She was all teary eyed. „You really look gorgeous.“ I get up from my seat and walk over to her. I played a little with the tulle. „Sooo pretty.“ I said in a baby voice.
„I love it.“ She brought out. „Alright. I’m getting this one this is for sure the one.“ I applauded a little when she said that. We’ve been looking for the perfect dress the past two days. The timing now was just perfect because I get one more spare day to spend here before I got to go back on Sunday.
After Sam was finally done, we decided to get a victory drink. So we sat down in a bar and had a vodka soda. Talking about boys as per usual. „I can’t believe you’re getting married.“ I stated bitter sweet. She sighed. „Gosh. SO. MUCH. PLANING. Don’t ever plan a wedding just fucking elope. I swear to god.“ She started to rant making me giggle all over.
„Come on. This is the beginning of happily ever after. That day you’re not even gonna worry about what kind of stress you went through“ I tried to reassure her. „Just think about walking down the aisle and Ethan standing there, waiting for you and you only.“ I smiled at her as I see her ease into the thought. „I’m gonna get married soon. This is insane.“ And there she goes off into her thoughts slowly mixing with the drunk fantasies playing in her head, which most likely will be played out as soon as she reaches home.
That was my cue to check my phone. What I saw was no surprise.
Cam: how’s the search for the perfect dress going? :)          currently sitting in a meeting thinking bout you          honestly I’m lowkey butthurt cuz u ain’t replying like whaaaat? I smiled at his texts. He’s cute. But please don’t tell him I think that. That ego does not need any more boosts as its already gotten enough.
Y/N: dress shopping was a success! THE DRESS IS AMAZING.         also. i didn’t think about you one second of the day.         does that hurt even more? ;)
I looked up from my phone to find a still dreamy Sam. I decided to pull her out of her thoughts. „What about bridesmaids dresses?“ She immediately snapped back to reality while I took a sip of my drink. „I found some really nice ones. We could actually go fit you tomorrow. Or maybe you don’t even like them, that wouldn’t be so much fun than.“ She pouted. I grinned at her. „I’ve known you all my life. You have great taste. It’s gonna be fine.“ I took the last sip of my drink.
„That’s it. We are done for today.“ I said getting up from the bar stool. „Can’t wait to get your mans, huh?“ She smirked at me. „He’s not my mans. He’s only my mans on the downlow.“ She giggled. „Yeah yeah sure. If you don’t mind I will go home to my fiancé now. You go to your acquaintance.“ I held back a laugh as we walked out of the bar. „I love you, you know that?“ I mumbled as I put my arm around her shoulder. „I knoooow. I love you too.“ She smiled contently. „I can’t believe I’m getting married.“ She looked down at her engagement ring. „Me neither.“ I sighed.
Back home, well technically Cameron’s home, I just laid in bed until I heard the front door open. That’s when I jumped up immediately. I didn’t even bother to change when I got back from shopping. „Cameron?“ I peeked out of the bedroom in hopes of seeing him. „Have to disappoint you. It’s just me.“ Aaron laughed as he sat down on the couch and I sat at the other end.
„How was your day?“ I simply asked, checking my phone to see if Cameron texted me. „Good actually. How about you?“ He smiled. Aaron is such a cutie. The whole time I was here, even if that might not have been long, he’s been the nicest. He gave Cameron and I space whenever he felt like we needed it and so on. „Good. Finally found the perfect dress for my friend.“ I grinned. „That’s great.“ I nodded in response.
„Soooo…“ He started obviously not knowing where to continue. „How are things with Cameron?“ Really Aaron? You wanna go there? „Uhm… Good I guess?“ I really didn’t know how to answer. What was I supposed to say we are in a long distance relationship and that’s pretty much it. „That’s good.“ And than we were quiet until he decided to bring something up. „Are you coming to Europe with us?“
Europe? What was I supposed to do in Europe? „What?“ I asked quite confused. „The european leg of the tour?“ He adorably smiled at me. „You’re going to Europe?“ I questioned. Now I was kind of mad. No, scrap that. I was pissed off. Why didn’t Cameron tell me about touring in motherfucking Europe? Did he not think it was somehow important to let his girlfriend know that he’s of to Europe for god knows how long?
„I guess Cameron didn’t tell you than.“ Speaking of the devil, as if he was waiting for the key sentence to barge in like that. „Who didn’t tell you what?“ Cameron asked all smiley as he closed the front door. „I think I’m gonna eat out tonight.“ Aaron subtly excused himself leaving Cameron dumbfounded. „What?“ He furrowed his eyebrows at Aaron as he was leaving.
„Bye guys.“ The door shut close and there was silence. A long undeniably uncomfortable silence. „What’s going on?“ Cameron finally broke the ice. Flustered. „Y/N? Are you gonna say anything?“ He sat down next to me. One arm slung around my waist. „Did I do something wrong?“ He asked after he kissed my cheek. I didn’t know what to say. I was pissed for no god damn reason. God damn it, am I overreacting?
„Europe.“ I spoke quietly. „You are going to Europe. Does that ring a bell?“ And that’s when he retrieved his arm. „I was going to tell you, you know that right?“ He raised his eyebrows at me. „I was not just going to bounce and not tell you.“ I sighed and rubbed my eyes. „I know. I just…“ And that’s when my mood switched. What was even going on with me? „I don’t know.“ I started sobbing out of fucking nowhere.
He pulled me into his arms as I cried into his chest. „Marshmallow, calm down. Take a breath.“ He sighed as he gently stroke over my back. He was such a great boyfriend. God damn it. I was being delusional and he knew it. How come he wasn’t sick of my shit yet? „I’m sorry.“ I quietly mumbled into his chest. „Hey. It’s alright. Everything's fine.“ Great boyfriend. I slowly pulled away from him.
„I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s going on, maybe I’m just PMSing.“ I started to laugh a little trying to lighten the mood. „I’m sorry for not telling you earlier. It’s a little late now.“ He chuckled. And that’s when it all came to me. „It’s fine.“ I didn’t dare to look him in the eyes. „So now that is settled, how about we grab some dinner?“ I could see his precious smile from the corner of my eyes.
„Uhm. I’m not feeling too well. I think I’m gonna go for a walk around the block first, alright?“ I stood up grabbing a sweater in case I’d be cold. „Are you feeling sick? Do you need anything? Should I come with you?“ He was close behind. „No! I mean no, it’s fine. I’ll be fine.“ I turned around and left him with a quick kiss. „I’ll be right back.“ I mumbled as I practically ran away from him.
I dialed Sam’s number in hopes of her answering which did not happen. So I went on to the next best person. Jen. My dear college friend, Jen. But she didn’t pick up either. I went through my contacts and debated wether or not to call Danny but that would be widely inappropriate. I came to a halt at the corner of the block as my finger hovered over his name. That would be the last straw for him.
„Hello?“ His voice sounded just like always. A small smile crept onto my face. „Hi.“ I took a breath. „Y/N? Are you okay? Why are you calling?“ He didn’t sound annoyed or anything. He was concerned as well as I was. God why did I call him? I could have tried to reach Sam again. „I- I don’t know.“ I broke into tears again. Great job at containing my emotions. Gotta give myself props for that one. Hell yeah.
„Y/N, where are you? Do you need help?“ I couldn’t breath. I was suffocating. I was going to die in this very spot. „Y/N?“ I tried to calm down. „Listen. Take a few breaths. Sit down. Alright? Can you please say something?“ I leaned against the building and took a few breaths just as he said. „Okay.“ I finally brought out and he let out a relieved sigh. „Alright? Where are you? Can someone pick you up?“ I debated wether or not to hang up on him and turn back around.
„It’s fine. I’m fine. I don’t know why I called you. I didn’t want to cause any trouble. I’m sorry.“ I pinched the bridge of my nose. I was such a lowlife piece of shit. Great job Y/N. You’re not only a disgrace to everyone but you are causing everyone unnecessary problems. „If you’re not telling me where you are I’m gonna fucking find you with the Find my friend app. I don’t care.“ I chuckled
„Listen. Luke. I really didn’t mean to wake any concern. I didn’t know who to call and I’m in a weird situation right now. I’ll reach Sam or something. Don’t worry about it.“ I sighed. I really didn’t mean to get him all worried. „Are you sure?“ I nodded. „Yeah. Everything’s fine.“ After a bit of a back and forth he finally let me hang up, but insisting on checking up on me later.
After that phone call Sam texted me asking if everything was fine as well as Cameron, wondering where I was. I texted Sam letting her know i’d be coming over. I texted Cameron, telling him there was a „bridesmaids emergency“ and needed to be at Sam’s asap. He bought the simple excuse.
Before I knew it I stood in front of the familiar entrance to Sam’s apartment. The door swung open and Ethan smiled at me. „Don’t worry. I was just about to go out to the bar with some friends.“ I nodded thankfully. „Thank you very much Ethan. You’re gonna be a great husband.“ I pinched his cheek and walked into the apartment.
After he was gone Sam and I just sat there on the couch with our tea. „So do you intend on starting what this is about or do I have to squeeze every tiny drop out of you?“ She sighed after a good half an hour. „Alright.“ I took a few breaths. She eyed me with curiosity. Just a few hours ago everything was fine and we were having a good time and now? Now I was an emotional mess. I didn’t really know what to do so I just blurted it out.
„Ever had a pregnancy scare?“
