ohh okay so tbh i didn’t know who he was until gen v, but what i’ve gathered is that wayyyy back in the day, he was like magcon-adjacent??? which, for those of you who might not know, magcon stood for “meet-and-greet convention” and was basically a group of teen boys who were famous viners and they would host meet and greets and stuff and yeah (shawn mendes was in it, nash grier, cameron dallas, they were all in it.) so yeah, if ppl are saying they were obsessed w him back in the day, they’re probably talking about this era

he also used to be a rapper and some of his music is still on spotify, but i haven’t listened so i couldn’t tell you if it were good or not 😭 he’s also done some acting recently, apparently he was in marvel’s runaways???? which, i don’t remember seeing him in, but i’m planning on rewatching the show so i’ll look out for him 😭

It’s one of those you had to be there type things. I’m sure there’s extensive deep dives somewhere on the internet, but I don’t even know where to begin explaining to you what Magcon was. There is a Cameron Dallas documentary somewhere that gives kind of an overview, but it’s all actually insane. Some of the music we got still slaps though.

The country singer Willie Jones that just collaborated with Beyoncé was on X-Factor when he was younger and he was also part of that Magcon group Shawn mendes was part of back in the day with Cameron Dallas but Willie became part of Magcon towards the very end when it was falling off so it was after Shawn Mendes already became known for his music ANYWAY the crazy thing is Willie was also kind of bullied by the guys in Magcon for singing just the way Shawn mendes was In fact Willie was part of Cameron Dallas‘s Netflix documentary show and there was an episode where all the guys in magcon got on the plane home without him and abandoned him in a foreign country… so it’s just kind of crazy to see how everything has turned out for Shawn Mendes and Willie Jones versus how everything has turned out Camron Dallas and the rest of those Magcon guys 💀

When Magcon was a big thing, she got in trouble for being underage and drunk, also people at that time said that she was also high and there was a scandal, it was when Carter Reynolds filmed his thingy out of his pants in front of her. This didn't make me hate her or anything, i was feeling bad for her because her bf was mistreating her like this. (I mean i still don't hate her), i just don't like her and used to think she's a troublemaker because after this scandal and her breaking up with Carter, there were many rumours about her saying that she actually blames Cameron Dallas and Hayes Grier about all of this, how it's their fault and how it was Hayes who was hitting on her/kissing her and that he's the reason Carter and her broke up. Pretty much she cheated on Carter, and blamed it on Hayes cuz they kissed or something, tho everyone in the fandom expected for them to break up bc of Carter dangling his thing in front of her. Those were the rumours at that time

And then she started dating somebody else, also a YouTuber, and things got nasty too but i wasn't interested so didn't look further into that. I think they really didn't get along and she was spending time with other men, he was spending time with other women, so they came to an agreement to break up

So as a conclusion, when lightning strikes twice u become cautious. So that's why i don't really support her feature with the vamps that much. Love the song, she really has a nice voice and is talented, but i draw the line at personal haha
