Summary: As a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, fraternizing with the players was strictly off-limits. However, being the team’s coach’s daughter afforded you certain privileges, and you were able to pull a few strings for Rafe.

As the music blared through the stadium, you stood front and center, commanding the field with every precise movement of your iconic routine to AC/DC’s Thunderstruck.
The crowd’s energy was palpable, a roar of excitement that matched the electric rhythm of the song. Dressed in the iconic blue and white uniform of a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, you knew all eyes were on you the second you all moved into formation.
As a four-year veteran of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the dance felt like second nature to you. Your smile never faltered as you executed the routine flawlessly. The first game of the year was always memorable, with the excitement in the stadium buzzing through the air.
Fans were filled with anticipation for the Cowboys’ upcoming season. As you executed each precise kick, turn, and cheer, you felt the collective heartbeat of the stadium pulsing in time with your own.
Adrenaline coursed through your veins as the spotlight followed your every move. The crowd’s roar echoed in your ears, a testament to the excitement of the first game of the season.
Rafe had just joined the Dallas Cowboys after being offered the spot, and tonight was he debut with the team. As he jogged onto the field, the energy of the stadium washed over him. Amidst the chaos, his eyes were drawn to you.
It wasn’t just your position at the front and center of the formation that caught his attention, but the confidence and skill you radiated. Intrigued, he turned to one of his teammates. “Who’s that?” Rafe asked, nodding in your direction.
Chris, his teammate, followed his gaze and smirked. “That’s Y/n. Coach Johnson’s daughter.” Rafe’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “The coach’s daughter?” Chris chuckled, giving Rafe a friendly slap on the back. “How haven’t you seen her around, dude? She’s one of the hottest girls on the cheer team.”
Rafe’s eyes remained fixed on you as you executed flawless high kicks and sharp turns. There was something about you that captivated him, something he couldn’t quite put his finger on. You moved with a grace and precision that spoke of both natural talent and relentless hard work.
As the routine built to its climax, you prepared for the iconic jump-split. The crowd held its breath, and then erupted in cheers as you all landed perfectly. Chris leaned in, shouting in Rafe’s ear over the deafening applause. “Remember, you can’t be seeing any of them, right? Especially Y/n. It’s part of the contract.” Rafe chuckled, giving a resigned nod. “Yeah, yeah, I know.”
But as he watched you take your final bow, the applause still ringing in his ears, he couldn’t shake the feeling that you were someone worth breaking the rules for.
~
After the game, you and your teammates strolled through the bustling hallway, still basking in the post-performance adrenaline. You and the other cheerleaders were busy toweling off the sweat from the night’s game, the familiar routine a comforting end to a high-energy evening.
Spotting your dad leading the Cowboys team towards you, you waved excitedly and jogged over to him. His face lit up with pride as he greeted you with a side hug, his voice filled with warmth. “Hey, kiddo! You were amazing out there, as always.” He leaned down to kiss your forehead, and you couldn’t suppress a delighted giggle.
“Thanks, Dad,” you replied, your smile mirroring his. As you walked alongside him, discussing the game and upcoming plans, you couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. A subtle sense of curiosity drew your gaze over your shoulder, where you locked eyes with an unfamiliar guy.
Your dad noticed your glance and affectionately patted your side. “That’s Rafe. You know, the really talented guy I offered the spot to from the Outer Banks?” Around him, the other players playfully slapped Rafe on the back and teased him with knowing grins.
Rafe grinned sheepishly, accepting the good-natured ribbing from his teammates. Turning back to face your dad, you hummed in response.
~
“Where is Y/N?” Kelli’s voice echoed through the pre-game excitement backstage, cutting through the chatter and preparation of the cheerleaders lined up, ready to go onto the field. Panic surged through you as you hurriedly made your way over, adjusting your hair and straightening your top.
“I’m here! I’m here,” you called out, slipping into position just in time. Kelli, raised an eyebrow, her keen eyes taking in your slightly disheveled appearance. Kelli stepped closer, her demeanor stern. “Sweetie,” her hand reaching up to gently touch your face. You looked at her in confusion as she rubbed your chin, then showed you her thumb smeared with your lipstick.
“I—” you began to explain, but she shook her head, “Not right now,” she hushed firmly as she brushed away stray strands of hair that had fallen across your face. “Have fun out there, ladies!” Kellie called out, her voice projecting over the backstage buzz.
With a deep breath, you led the charge onto the field, the exhilarating pulse of Thunderstruck fueling your every move. The routine flowed flawlessly, each kick and turn executed with precision. The cheers of the crowd blended with the music, creating an electrifying atmosphere that drove you to perform at your best.
Later that night, after another Cowboys victory, you found yourself in the locker room, wiping off your makeup. One of your teammates, Kelcey, approached you with a curious expression.
“Hey,” she greeted, smiling as you returned the gesture, glancing at her through the reflection in the mirror. “Did you hear what happened after tonight’s game?” she asked, sitting on the bench and swinging her legs.
You paused, turning to face her. “No? What happened?” you asked, intrigued. Kelcey looked around briefly before leaning closer. “Y’know that new player? Rafe Cameron. Well, he showed up late on the field and Coach Johnson was furious,” she explained.
Your mind raced. One thing your dad valued the most was punctuality. “I think Coach was even threatening his spot! What was he thinking, he’s only been on the team for a week!” Kelcey shook her head in disbelief.
~
As you stretched in the locker room, your dad walked in, his authoritative presence immediately commanding attention. “Hey, kid,” he greeted, pulling up a chair to sit facing you, his expression a mix of warmth and concern.
“Hi, Dad,” you replied with a smile, continuing your stretches, hoping to appear nonchalant. His gaze lingered on you, scrutinizing every detail, his face unreadable.
“Everything all good?” you asked, sensing his unease and hoping to dispel it. He cleared his throat, “Yeah, everything’s fine, sweetie,” he said, but the smile on his face didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Listen, Kelli mentioned you were running late before the game. You’re never late, Y/N.”
You chuckled, trying to ease the tension with a light laugh. “Dad, I scuffed up my boots, so I had to fix them,” you lied smoothly, hoping your tone was convincing enough. He nodded slowly, though skepticism lingered in his eyes. “Really? Because you know what’s funny? Rafe was late to arrive on the field too.” He chuckled, shaking his head slightly as he leaned back in the chair, studying your reaction.
You threw him a look, feigning innocence. “What are you trying to say?” “That’s just a coincidence, right? I don’t need to be worrying about my daughter and one of my best players, do I?” He raised an eyebrow, giving you a pointed look that made your heart skip a beat.
You forced yourself to maintain your composure. “No, Dad, you don’t need to worry,” you assured him, hoping he wouldn’t see through the façade you were putting up. Your dad sighed and gave you a look you knew too well, a mixture of concern and fatherly protectiveness. “Sweetheart, I’m not stupid.”
You furrowed your eyebrows at his words, feeling a pang of guilt. “Dad, I never said you were—” But he cut you off, leaning forward slightly. “Rafe is a good-looking guy, I get it. And well, of course, you’re a stunning girl who happens to be a cheerleader for his team, so naturally—”
“He’s a really nice guy, Dad. And he cares for me, I know he does,” you said quietly, your voice almost a whisper, your eyes fixed on the ground to avoid his piercing gaze. Your dad watched you in silence for a moment before sighing deeply. “Is that what you want?” he asked, his voice softening as he looked at you intently.
You looked up at him and nodded your head, your heart pounding in your chest. “Yes, it is.” Your dad stood up and walked over to you, his demeanor shifting to one of tender support. “Well, I want you to be happy, okay?” He smiled at you warmly, his hand coming up to gently cup your cheek. You leaned into his touch, feeling a wave of relief.
“Thank you, Dad,” you smiled gratefully at him. You pulled him into a hug, and he kissed the top of your head, his embrace comforting and familiar. “You’re looking more and more like your mother every day, y’know,” he whispered, his voice tinged with nostalgia. “Whenever I see you out there on the field in your uniform, I have to double-look because I think it’s your mom.”
You both chuckled softly, a stray tear escaping and running down your face. Your dad pulled back slightly, using his thumb to gently wipe away the tear. “Try not to be late next time, yeah? Don’t want Kelli on my back.” You chuckled and nodded, feeling a sense of peace settle over you. “Got it, Dad.”

OOC POST
Here's a little behind the scenes so you guys have a better idea of what's going down! One shot below the cut, enjoy!!
Blu Demoman x Blu engineer
_________
Caz took a deep breath as he knocked on the workshop, the sounds of machinery stopped abruptly and he heard shuffling.
"Who is it?"
Dallas' voice rang through the workshop door and Caz regretted he hadn't drank this morning. He wasn't sure he could do this without some liquid courage. "Jus' me lad. I'm sober as a judge, I promise ye." Caz responded and the door opened slightly, Dallas standing in the doorway looking wary. "What do you want, Caz?" He asked, looking at the Scotsman and then behind him to the empty hallway.
"I jus' wanna talk. I promise I'm not drunk." Caz assured, but Dallas hadn't stepped aside. "An' talk about what, exactly? That you're sorry, for outing me to the whole fuckin' world? That you're sorry my own family disowned me cuz' of your big mouth? That you're sorry-" "I was scared," he interrupted, his voice strained.
"It donnae excuse me poor actions or the fact that I jus' dinnae think about how ye feel- I was selfish an' scared an' I took it out on ye." Caz admitted, and Dallas had gone quiet, looking away and crossing his arms. "An' I'm so sorry fer it. I cannae apologize enough for it." Caz continued and Dallas took a shaky breath.
"Why are you here, Caz?" He asked softly, still not meeting his eyes. "I... I need ta tell ye." But the words caught in his throat like sandpaper to concrete. "Tell me what?" He finally looked up, his face unreadable.
"I.."
I care for ye, lad.
Ye mean everythin' to me.
Please forgive me.
I cannae live without ye.
Ye mean more ta me than anythin'.
Ye are everythin' ta me.
I'm scared.
I don't know what to do.
I love you.
"I'm...sorry." Caz stuttered and Dallas frowned. "You already told me that, I get it, you're sorry for outing me, that's it. I don't want to talk about it. Go away, please." He started to close the door and Caz's panic spiked, reaching out and putting his foot between the door and frame. "Och, tha's nae what I meant! Let me explain-"
"There's nothing to explain, Caz. What more is there to say?"
"I loved ye since before ye ever looked twice my way, an' I'd be a doon right edjit tae ruin tha' over something I'm scared of." He blurted and the words hung heavy in the air. Dallas stared at him, his grip on the door loosening as the words processed. A deep sigh came from the shorter man as he knocked his head against the wooden frame a few times with a soft thump.
"Caz I....Cameron," he started and Caz's heart dropped to his stomach. "I don't know if I can just let go of all the shit you've put me through." Caz nodded, a lump forming in his throat as he felt a sharp sting in his nose, his tounge became thick in his throat, and his eyes burned.
He didn't know why, he really didn't, but the thought of losing Dallas, the one thing that was worth anything to him was just too much to bear. Still, he listened. "But lovin' you scared the shit out of me. And it fuckin' hurts. So much."
A tear rolled down Caz's cheek as his chest began to hurt. It felt like someone had reached into his chest and crushed his heart. "Dal-" "Please, leave me alone, Cameron. Please. I can't do this right now. Not with you." Dallas had his eyes closed and Caz nodded, moving his foot as the door clicked shut. He just stared at the wood, his mind reeling.
Caz was quiet, and he could see Dallas' face screw up in the attempt to hold back his tears. He always was a bit of a crybaby, that tended to be that way with Mama's boys. "I'm tired. I'm tired of hurting. I'm tired of hiding, I'm tired of pretending." Dallas's voice cracked, and he was full on crying now, trying and failing to hide his sobs.
"An' you of of all people should know how that feels, Cameron."
Caz stood there, trying to calm his racing heart, the words replaying in his head, and he was left feeling lost, numb. Like he was walking in a haze. He turned, not entirely sure where he was going, and started down the hall.

wnba recap 6/20
chicago sky vs. dallas wings
aight team stats wise - genuinely terrifying fgp from the wings and 3pfg from the sky. what the hell guys. rike scores 31 points off of 24 shots - but really 27 points off of 24 shots, which is
fine. rike’s efficiency is always concerning but imma move past it to address the fact that miss ucla monique billings played 31 minutes of basketball to score 4 points. girl you better be glad you caught 9 boards, because what the fuck.
yeah i genuinely don’t understand why the wings’ offensive rating is so high. natasha howard is the only player besides rike who was in double digits. jesus christ bro dallas basketball is so disappointing rn.
on the OTHER HANDDD!!! MISS ANGEL REESE!! MISS DOUBLE DOUBLE QUEEENNNN!!! MISS EIGHT. GODDAMN. O-BOARDS. MISS 16/18!!!
if there’s one thing kim mulkey gon do, it’s prepare her mfking girls for the league. and DID thank you miss angel reese đŸ€
marina mabrey, chennedy carter solid minutes. bench production low except from dana evans. if you ignore that 3pfg from the sky
solid basketball!! yeah atp wings gon have to rely on their own pick if they want paige lol bc the sky have a better record than them.
los angeles sparks vs new york liberty
first game for la without cameron brink, and they honestly fared better than i expected. obviously they’re missing a huge defensive presence in the paint and an offensive front court present, but they kept it pretty close those first two quarters before new york pulled away in the third.
s/o to talbot and hamby for a near double double; 9/11 each, solid. great second string work from the sparks, but the liberty just worked better together as a team in terms of ball movement - you can tell just from their assist numbers.
speaking of numbers: miss sabrina ionescu with 31 points on 11-19 shooting with 6 made threes!!!! jj also had a night with 22/7. new york looks good y’all icl.
the liberty also work really well with tempo; if new york pulls away, it’s pretty hard to catch up. even tho la out scored them in the paint, they play a fast paced game that you just need more guards to keep up with tbh.

DALLAS - Typically, on Sundays, thousands of people attend the State Fair of Texas. But this Sunday morning, only vendors were there.
The fair didn’t open until 1:45 p.m. Sunday after Dallas police said a man shot at another man Saturday night, injuring three people.
The victims – two adult males and an adult female – are all expected to recover. At least one appears to have been an innocent bystander.
Dallas police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Cameron Turner. He ran from the scene after the shooting, but officers quickly located him and took him into custody. A gun was also recovered.
Turner is now charged with aggravated assault.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. in the Tower Building, which is a food court.
Jessica Mettlen was working as a food vendor at the time.
"All of a sudden there were four gunshots. It was pow, pow, pow, pow. Then there was about a minute delay and then there was another gunshot. People fled," she said. "People were jumping over my counters. I was pulling people to safety. I was pulling people behind the counters."
FOX 4 News producer Kacinda Crump was at the fair Saturday night with her sister. The two were inside the food court ordering a drink and ducked down when they heard the gunfire.
"I literally saw the smoke clearing from you know how gunpowder or gun smoke happens," Crump said. "Out of nowhere everybody just starts running. We’re trying to get out of the place and people just trampled us. It was chaos."
Kneisha Crump said she had footprints all over her body.
"They actually ran over my body, a lot of people," she said. "Someone stopped them and said, ‘Let them get up.’ You know, and so we got up. It had to have been an angel."
The fair prohibits weapons on the property. However, its policy makes an exception for licensed gun owners.
"We don’t allow weapons in the State Fair of Texas. However, we understand that Texans have the right to carry their weapons. So, we have a middle ground where those that have a license to carry are allowed to come in with a concealed weapon," said Karissa Condoianis, the senior vice president of public relations for the State Fair of Texas.
It’s not clear yet how the suspect got a gun onto the fairgrounds.
The fair has an open-gate weapons detection system that’s new this year.
"When people walk through it detects if there are any weapons on them and notifies the security team to then do a deeper inspection at that point and time," Condoianis said.
The fair is planning to enhance security during the final week of operations.
"We do plan for a heightened security presence not only on the perimeter of the grounds but throughout the fairgrounds for the remainder of the 2023 State Fair of Texas," Condoianis said.
Meanwhile, Kneisha Crump shared her views on the fair’s gun policy.
"If I had known that they could carry weapons inside – guns – I would not have even gone," she said.
But Saturday’s shooting didn’t stop others from showing up as soon as the fair reopened on Sunday.

Tumblr media
Requested:Yes/No Song(s):None Warning(s):None Summary:She’s the new girl in town, and Cameron feels like it’s his job to make her feel comfortable with him and the rest of the group.
Hey love, this didn't come out the way I wanted but it’s way better than what I had before. Hope you like it. @thoughtfullyyoungduck
She was nervous, she had been all morning and now knowing that the people she would be stuck with for God knows how long were behind this door made her sick. She bite down on her lip as she was lead through the doors and laughter was heard. Her eyes followed each one of them, as they ran across the room. They were energetic and loud, and she was tamed and quiet. Lots of thoughts ran through her head before one of them walked over to her.
“Hi!”
She blinked before offering him a soft smile.
“Hello.”
“You must be Y/N, Bart was telling us you would be join us for this leg of the tour." He stated as she nodded her heading searching for Bart who had seemed to disappear. “I’m Aaron by the way.” He flashed her a soft smile.
It had been three weeks since she had officially joined Magcon and had still felt on the outside. It’s not that She didn’t like the boys, that certainly wasn’t it. She was just finding it hard to get comfortable with them, she felt as though they didn’t like her. It was one of those strange days where everything was still and not much was going on, she had planned to stay in her hotel room and catch up on some shows she was majorly behind. Three episodes into Game of Thrones someone knocked on her door. Sighing, she stood up and opened it to come face to face with Cameron.
“I was wondering if you wanted to go have a cup of coffee or something..” He stated as she blinked slightly confused. “I just noticed how on edge you were and thought that maybe I could help..”
A soft chuckle left her lips as she nodded her head and moved to the side allowing him in. “Yeah of course, let me just get changed into something more suitable..” She smiled as he felt relief wash through his body.
The two didn’t go too far seeing as their was a coffee shop about a block away from their hotel. In recored timing they were both seated in the back with a cup of coffee and a muffin each. Cameron had asked a few questions, just simple getting to you type of questions while giving her a bit of background facts on each of the guys. He learned things about her as she learned things about him.
“You know you're really cool..” He stated once they got back to the hotel. A slight blush casted its way onto her face.
“Thank’s Cam, you’re not so bad yourself.” She joked as he rolled his eyes with a smile on his lips.
“Promise to not be a stranger?”
“Promise..” She whispered as he smiled. “Thank you by the way..” She added as they waited for elevator.
“For what?"
“For helping me feel a bit more relaxed..”
“No problem babe, we’re friends I'll be here when you need me.”

ESPN: *posts anything about women's hoops*
10,000 male comments: "Kitchen. Make me a sandwich. Me and 4 other casual male players could beat this WNBA team by 100 points."
Casual male players: *Get beaten by casual female players*
Casual male players:
Andrea Womack is mourning the loss of her 21-year-old daughter, Asia Womack. She was killed Monday evening after playing basketball at T.G. Terry Park just up the street from her home.
"This was supposed to be a friend of Asia's. She's eaten with the man," Andrea said. "She's fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way."
Asia was a whiz at basketball, playing her high school days at Madison High School.
Her family says she was in a pickup game at the park playing against the guy who is said to have shot her, and she won. The family also says there was trash talk, too.
According to the family, the shooter took his kids and brother home and came back to the park, shooting Asia five times.
Tumblr media
Cameron Hogg, 31, murdered Asia Womack, a woman 10 years younger than him, after she beat him at basketball. He's on the run in Dallas Texas and has not been apprehended.
Tumblr media
All across the US, a million girls and women play basketball at public parks exactly like this one. No female player is ever completely safe at a pick-up hoop around men. Not even around men they consider friends. And men are always around because they are extremely territorial about this sport in particular. They believe basketball, especially casual basketball, is male territory.
Where I live, every single public pick-up court is dominated by men. Any woman who tries to dribble on these courts faces severe harassment. But some women like Asia Womack are so in love with this sport, they are fearless and powerful with a ball in their hands. Harassment and intimidation and trash talk can't keep them away from public hoops. Men who believe casual basketball is male territory feel threatened by women like that.
Women's basketball shouldn't just be about the top 0.1% elite women who get paid to play. Basketball should be accessible for every woman. Women should not have to dodge threats, sexual assault, and bullets just to play basketball. If men can't share the court, they don't deserve to play.

Jason McCann - Mr. McCann (Best Friend) - (Part 2)
A/N: As requested by you guys. Hope you all enjoy ! Check out the first part if you haven’t, link below. Much love .xx
Credit to @sensualkisses for GIF
(PART 1)
“Oh okay yeah that’s fine, I don’t mind. Make yourself comfortable” I said and gestured towards the couch across the my desk. She laid down on it and after a few moments of silence she started to throw questions at me. “So Y/N, if you don’t mind, can I ask you a few questions ?” she asked as she stared up at the ceiling and dared not to make eye contact with me.
“Go on” I said and carried on writing in my diary. “Why haven’t you moved out, start a new life after college or university and open up your own business instead of staying with Jason, and being partners ?” A question that really made me think as to why I’m still here. “Well we’ve been best of friends since high school. I’ve had his back all the time and he has mine. We’re inseparable I guess you could say. Even though he shows his bad side to many people, he never does to me. He’s everything to me honestly” I said as I started to daydream and think about all of our memories together.
She got up abruptly and turned to look at me “Then why haven’t you guys decided to get together and tie the knot already ? I myself can see that you’re into him. He seems to be the only oblivious one out of everyone, not realizing that you guys are meant for each other.” Oh how the tables have turned, to think that she wanted him, she was basically shipping us this whole time.
I didn’t reply. “Look I know this may be all a shocker to you but last week I just had a feeling that what I was doing was all wrong. If it makes you happy, Jason and I didn’t sleep with each other last week. We just had dinner, talked, made out and that was it.” Than why the hell did he call her this week if he didn’t get any sexual pleasure from her last week.
I dropped my pen and turned to look at her. “The only reason I’m shocked is because you’re the only girl who he called over and doesn’t seem interested in money, yet here you are trying to get Jason and I to become one. Also the fact that he called you here again, which he never does and you guys didn’t do anything sexual. Is their something I’m missing here ?”
“Well I guess theirs only one way to find out” she said.
We waited until later this afternoon when it was peak hour and it was time to close up. I of course was going to be the last one to leave. Jason didn’t say a word, just simply entered my office and called up Malia then left. Guilt ? If so, why ?
I got home safely and into the kitchen to leave my car keys. The house was oddly silent, far too silent. Is anyone even home ? I left my purse on the kitchen counter and walked upstairs. Might as well check if I’m home alone or not so I can make plans. I walked to Jason’s room and put my ear against the door in hopes of not hearing moans. I knocked on the door and it opened on its own. Oh great, no one is home. I sighed in relief, I like the house to myself from time to time.
I kicked off my heels and went back to the kitchen to get myself some food. I made grilled chicken and vegetables, I honestly can eat this all day. As I scrolled through my phone whilst drinking water, the door burst open. There was Malia and Jason making out, hands on each other, lips stuck to one another. I lightly coughed, I deserve some recognition and respect around here.
“This is my house too and I would appreciate it if you don’t do that in front of me whilst I enjoy my delicious meal. Thanks” I faked a smile and went back to eating. From a side eye view I could see Malia trying to fix her hair and dress, Jason just removed his tie and through it on the couch.
“Wanna finish this upstairs ?” Malia giggled. I can tell she’s drunk, this won’t last long.
“You head on upstairs, I’ll catch up with you in a bit” Jason said in a plain tone. Well at least he isn’t drunk. Looks like he decided to be responsible for once in his life.
“Okay sure thing babe” she pecked him once more and bit his lip as a tease as she made her way upstairs to his bedroom. He ain’t coming hunny.
He opened up the fridge, grabbed himself a bottle of water and took a sip. I carried on eating as if they weren’t here 5 minutes ago. He pulled up the seat beside me and sat down. What could he possibly want to talk about now ?
“So Y/N I’ve been thinking
” he spoke. I didn’t say anything as a reply for him to go on. “I think I should put an end to the whole hook up thing and stick to one girl” Jason said. Boy say what. I dropped my fork in surprise, is this reality because I never thought that Jason McCann would come to this point.
“You lie” I said plainly. “This isn’t a joke Y/N, I think I caught some feelings for someone and well I just want to stick to that one person” he said then bit his lip. “That’s great Jason, I’m really happy for you” I said as nicely as possible and went on eating because if it ain’t me who he’s interested in then why should I care ? What’s the point in hearing someone go on about someone they’re in love with that’s not you when you’re in love with them.
The silence has come upon us. I finished up my meal and washed the dishes, yet Jason still sat in the same chair and stared at me. Is their something wrong with me ?
“So why aren’t you upstairs already with Malia ?” I asked as I wiped my hands. He stood up and walked towards me “Well she’s probably passed out by now since she’s drunk, I decided to be the better person and not drink tonight” he said smiling.
“I’m honestly really proud of you, this girl must really have some affect on you. Not drinking and not having sex all in one night. Some record you set their McCann” I smiled and headed towards the stairs to my room, he followed behind me.
“Well what can I say, I have to impress my love” he grinned. He sat on my bed as I went ahead in my closet to get changed into my pyjamas.
“Look Jason I’m really proud of you for your effort of progress to be a better person but don’t you think the girl you love deserves to know ?” I asked.
“Well she will eventually, I’m just afraid of commitment, you know that” he said lowly. I came out 2 minutes later - in a crop top paired with shorts - and sat next to him on the bed. He took a good look at me but I just brushed it off “If you ever need help or advice, you always know that I’m here for you. Drop by here anytime even if you just want some comforting okay” I said as I rubbed his back and lightly smiled.
“Thanks Y/N it means a lot” he said and engulfed me in tight hug. “So when are you planning on confessing your love for Malia ?” I asked and crossed my legs over, leaning back on my bed. “Woah no need to jump to conclusions. Who said it’s Malia ?” He asked in his cocky tone.
“Well I just assumed and kinda did the math. She’s the only girl you’ve hooked up with that has been called twice and most importantly you guys haven’t hooked up, you’ll just made out” I said shrugging my shoulders stating the obvious. “And how do you know that ?” He questioned, raising his eyebrow.
“Girls tell each other everything. Duh” I rolled my eyes. Should’ve learnt that by now. “Righttt
"he said. “Why did you call her twice anyways if you don’t have any romantic interest for her ?” I questioned out of curiosity. Why did he ?
“To make my lover jealous. Is it working ?” He asked. “You’re asking the wrong person, I’m not her” I laughed. Where is this conversation going ? The awkward silence hits again.
“You should probably go to bed now, we have work tomorrow and well you have Malia to take care of” I faked a smile and opened the door for him. I’m so rude but ugh this is too awkward. “Yeah I should probably get going, this was a good conversation. I should make more time for these. Maybe theirs more to us that we don’t know” he said and placed his hands in his pockets.
He’s still wearing his white shirt unbuttoned halfway down with his sleeves rolled up, straight cut black pants and formal dress shoes. Is it bad that I want to kiss his right now because he’s looking so damn fine.
“Goodnight. I’ll see you in the morning” I lightly shouted as he walked off to his room across the hall. “Night boo” he said and slammed the door. I closed the door behind me and sighed in relief. I got into bed and stared at the ceiling in hopes of falling off to sleep.
It’s been 45 minutes yet still no luck because only one question seems to cross my mind is who is he in love with ? I was struck away from my daze - there was a knock on my door. Pushing the door open and praying it was Jason on the other side with an answer to my question. Surprise surprise. God had answered my prayers.
“Sorry to disturb you, I just thought on checking on you because I couldn’t sleep” he said. He stood before me in just shorts. His body. Good gracious. “I’ve been awake for the last 45 minutes but no luck” I said and bit my lip. “I see, may I come in ?” he asked. I moved aside for him as he closed the door behind him.
He laid next to me with his arms behind his head and staring at the ceiling. I laid beside him and just ran my fingers through my hair. “Its you” he said breaking the silence. “What about me ?” I asked and turned my body to look at him, he was already looking back at me.
“I’m in love with you” he said. “Oh
wow” I said in shock and sat up on my bed. “Look I know it may be a lot to take in, I couldn’t hold it in anymore but -” he went on but I cut him off “How long ?” “About a year ago or way before. It was until earlier this year that I decided that I’ll eventually confess my feelings for you” he said and sat up as well.
“Why wait this long to tell me Jason. We’ve been best friends for so many years now” I said with hurt in my voice. “You’ve known me since high school, ever since high school I haven’t ever been in a relationship, it was always the hook ups and I was afraid of ruining our friendship” he said.
“I honestly hate you” I said, not making eye contact with him. “Why ? What did I do ?” He asked curiously. “It took an idiot like you so many years to finally realise that you like me when I’ve been liking you all these years” I said annoyed.
“How was I supposed to know ? I did the whole hook up thing to see if I actually did have true feelings for you and if it wouldn’t change. If it makes you happy, the hook ups weren’t actual hook ups but rather me and some girl sharing a few kisses or sometimes not. That’s it” he said. I lightly slapped his face. “Ouch what was that for ?” He whined. “A slap from reality. You’ve finally came through” I giggled and leaned in for my lips to finally meet his.

OOC POST
Just another one shot about their date :)
As they took their seats at a quaint and rather...unusual diner, Caz would say, he had never seen this place before. Despite knowing this town like the back of his hand, he was quite sure that he had never been here before.
Caz looked over at the menu, the words blurred together, the letters dancing around on the paper. He squinted, the letters improving a little bit. The feeling of anxiety clawed at his stomach like a fox in a stinkpit.
Dallas knew him better than anyone.
And yet.
He didn't know the dark thoughts that plagued his mind, the ones that whispered horrible, unspeakable things.
That he was a disappointment, that he was worthless, unlovable.
And the worst part of it all? Dallas would still love him anyway. Even if this turned sour and they tore eachother apart, skin to soul.
"Whaddya thinkin' of gettin'?"
Caz snapped out of his thoughts, his eye darting up to meet the warm, honey gaze.
"I..uh, dinnae ken yet." Caz admitted, giving the menu a quick glance. "What are ye gonna get?" He asked and Dallas hummed, a small smile spreading across his face. "I'm not too sure yet."
"What is this place, anyways?"
"It's a bit of a dive. Some place we can be ourselves without judgement, if ya catch my drift. Take a quick gander at the clientele." He nodded to his left,
Caz glanced around the diner, and it seemed to be a mixture of both men and women, with a handful of androgynous looking people.
Some in duos, others in groups. Two women sat across from one another, chatting away and giggling like schoolgirls. Another duo, two men, were sitting across from one another, one laughing a bit too loudly, causing the other to go red and start scolding him in hushed tones.
"See? No one's givin' us a second look." Dallas assured, and Caz nodded.
"I'm glad ye thought o' tha'.." he trailed off and Dallas' smile widened.
"Anyways, the food's alright, could use a lil' work, but it's fine for the price. An' they've got a great bar, which is what I come here for."
Caz chuckled a little bit.
"Well, if ye're here, tha' must be a good sign, aye?" He offered and Dallas shook his head, chuckling as well.
"They got a pretty killer shepherds pie, too. Ain't too shabby, actually. You wanna try it?" Dallas asked, and Caz gave a half shrug. Seemingly trying to hire a hole in the table with his eye.
"Hey, you okay, Caz?"
The concern was evident in his tone, and Caz could only shrug. "I..dinnae ken, lad." He sighed, the nausea still not leaving him. Amongst their people, huh? What did that say about him, though? Did Dallas expect him to be the girl in the relationship, and himself the guy?
"Is there something wrong, Caz?"
Dallas was leaning forward, he placed his hand over the other man's gently. "Hey, I can see somethin's troubling ya, what's up?"
Caz didn't meet his eyes, and instead focused on the table.
"How's this work?" He asked, and Dallas' brow furrowed in confusion.
"How's what work?"
"You're the girl, right? I'm the guy?"
Dallas was a little confused, and didn't seem to have a good answer for him. He was a little caught off guard by the question and almost laughed.
"No, not necessarily. There's no girl and boy, really." He explained.
"There's just... two people. People who love each other."
"An' what if I dinnae want ta be the girl? Would you make me?"
"Cameron..."
His voice was soft and gentle, similar to the way an exasperated mother might talk to her child. Caz's eye darted up to meet the concerned expression of the other, immediately feeling embarrassed for asking such a silly question.
"There Is no such thing as boy and girl in this typa thing, it's...just different. We are who we are and that's the end of it. You don't have ta act any sorta way, an' you don't have ta do anythin' that makes you uncomfortable. Just be yourself, I wouldn't want anyone else."
"Dinnae have to be no lady?"
"If that's not your cup o' tea. Were ya a lady before this?"
"Of course not."
"Then it's no problem, then. Now, whaddya want, hon?" His gaze softened, Caz felt his cheeks heat up slightly as he stared at the menu. "Shepards pie sounds grand."
"That's a mighty fine choice. You'll love it, I promise. Any drinks?"
"A lil' scotch wouldn't hurt."
"Sure, hun."
After they ordered, they made light conversation, talking about the new project the engineer was working on, and what the Demoman had been up to recently.
Still, he had to admit he wasn't fully listening, the term echoed in his head.
Boyfriend.
It felt weird to think about, but also comforting, in a way.
Caz glanced down at their hands, their fingers interlocked.
He couldn't help but notice how perfect his hands fit.
He squeezed them gently, and he heard a soft chuckle.
"You're thinkin' awful hard, Caz. Anything I can help you with?"
Caz's eyes flickered up to the soft smile.
"Nah, it's nuthin' important."
"If you're sure."
They chatted idly, as time passed the sun grew low and the crowds began to clear, empty glasses crowded the table space. Dallas paid before they left, despite the other's protests.
They were both a bit tipsy, walking a few paces apart from each other, not too far but not too close.
Caz stopped for a moment, before they had to exit the alley, grabbing Dallas's hand and pulling him close, and closer yet still
Until their faces were mere inches from one another.
Caz took a slow, deep breath, their eyes meeting. Neither of them spoke for a moment, and before he could second guess himself, their lips met.
The kiss was slow, and careful.
As if they were testing the waters, and the taste of liquor still lingered on his lips, his tounge exploring the inside of his mouth, feeling his tongue ring.
God, his stomach was doing flips.
When he pulled back, Dallas was staring at him, a mix of surprise and joy evident on his features.
"What's gotten into ya, Caz?"
He sounded genuinely surprised.
"I... I love ye, Dal. I really do."
He leaned his forehead against the others, his arm wrapped around his waist.
"An' I'm sorry. Sorry fer puttin' ye through all the pain an' bullshit I did."
"Oh, Caz.."
Dallas's expression was tender, he leaned in and pressed his lips to his forehead, causing his cheeks to go red.
"I forgive ya. An' I love ya, too. Don't you ever doubt that."
His grip on his waist tightened slightly, and he buried his face into the crook of his neck.
"Now, let's get home before someone sees us."
He could only nod, and they began to walk back to base, breaking their hold on one another before they exited the alleyway, back to reality.

Now he’s worthy of prison and most likely be somebody’s girlfriend..đŸ€”
Male Ego Is Killing Black Women
A man recently murdered a woman after she beat him in a basketball game—a senseless and bizarre example of the dangers of all-too-common misogyny.
This article originally appeared on levelman.com
Of all the examples that highlight the dangers posed by the fragility of men, few have frustrated me as much as the story of Asia Womack, a 21-year-old Black woman who was murdered in Dallas last week due to a man’s bruised ego over losing a basketball game. Yes, you read that right.
“This was supposed to be a friend of Asia’s. She’s eaten with the man,” Asia’s mother, Andrea Womack, told Dallas’ Fox 4 News. “She’s fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way.”
In her obituary, the family notes the young woman affectionately referred to as “Fat Baby” had a lifelong love of basketball. She was also an active churchgoer who participated in the youth ministry at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in neighboring Mesquite, Texas, and studied kinesiology at Texas A&M Commerce. The obituary indicates Asia was known for having “a big heart filled with so much love, joy, and laughter” and describes her “smile that could brighten your day.”
The circumstances that have caused Asia’s loved ones to never see that smile again center on a pickup game she played last Monday evening. “We’re taking it kind of hard because it was senseless,” Asia’s aunt Juanita Smith explained to another local affiliate, NBC DFW 5. “I just don’t understand why you kill somebody over a basketball game.”
Asia’s family members acknowledged to reporters that there was some “trash talk” involved, but that sounds like any other sports game played. There’s no reason for anyone to die over that.
The Womack family’s pastor, Rev. John Delley, told CBS11 that he, too, had trouble understanding how a basketball game could result in this type of violence. “This is so senseless... you are embarrassed because a female beat you in basketball?”
With respect to the pastor, the use of “female” here has a lot to do with the underlying sexism that undoubtedly motivated Asia’s shooter.
I’m not saying the use of “female” alone makes a man a killer, but men who fail to see women as people deserving of equal respect often use that as a noun in place of “woman.” Asia might have been a female basketball player, but she was a woman. Women deserve that distinction for the sake of their humanity, not to mention proper grammar.
Asia’s alleged gunman, 31-year-old Cameron Hogg, is said to have been unable to handle not only the loss, but the teasing and taunting that erupted in response to losing presumably a low-stakes game to a woman.
Nevermind the fact that she’s a decade younger than him. Or that she apparently was a skilled basketball player. All that matters is that she was a woman, ergo, less than.
Based on the available reporting, Hogg seemed very intentional in allowing his frail ego and sexism to push him to violence. After he was said to have taken his kids and brother home, he returned to the park and shot Asia five times as she was walking home. His car is believed to have been captured speeding away by a nearby surveillance camera.
He left her dead on the sidewalk.
We live in a society that continues to instruct men to view women as not only weaker than men, but to see them as objects to be dominated by men. So men are told that they can’t lose anything to a woman—certainly not anything that requires physicality. When a man does, it’s not a testament to the athleticism of a woman but the perceived inadequacies of the man who lost.
It’s an attitude you often find in men who play sports, but it applies to men collectively in their broader treatment of women. And when it comes to Black women in particular, this mindset leads to a dangerous reality.
In “Black Women Deserve The Right To Be Free From Violence,” Alicia Nichols and Christina Jones write: “In 2020, every day in the United States, four Black women and girls were murdered by their husband, boyfriend, father, or another man they knew.  In 2019, Black women accounted for 14 percent of the female population in the United States, while 28 percent of the females killed by males in single victim/single offender incidents where the race of the victim was known were Black. Firearms were the weapon most commonly used by males to murder Black women in 2019.”
As other Black women have expressed in response to Womack’s killing, the violence and attitude behind her death are common—and they can trace their own stories of men or boys losing their cool over “losing to a girl.” It makes me think of some of the little boys I’ve been tempted to stomp out for trying the same thing with one of my nieces.
None of this can change unless we confront misogyny at every level in every single person. Otherwise, we are complicit in the spread of violence against women.
There are so many four-letter words I want to use to describe a man like Cameron Hogg, but punk feels most fitting. A bench warrant has been issued for his arrest, but at present, he has not been apprehended.
“Detectives are still working the case,” said Dallas PD’s Kristin Lowman in a recent interview. “No one is in custody at this time. They’ve been working it since Monday night trying to find justice for Miss Womack.”
Someone that violent, stupid, and Black will most certainly be caught in due time. And while I won’t meet violent acts with violent rhetoric, I hope the rest of his life is marred by misery and containment.
And I want that misery to be spread to all men like him. Because women like Asia Womack shouldn’t have to die over a weak man and his pathetic ego.
They should be able to celebrate their wins in peace.

The much-talked about production did not disappoint; the modernized visuals create many new layers to the show, and make you think about events and characters in a whole new way. Nehal, Allison, Justin, and Christia were probably my favorites, but the entire cast is so talented, it’s difficult to choose any as standouts. A very nice capture overall. There are a couple quick dropouts in act one, but no major blackouts. There is one head that can be seen occasionally, but it only blocks a small portion of the stage and only affects the action for about 20-30 seconds of the entire show. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent as usual. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. Les MisĂ©rables - Duisburg - 1996 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) CAST: Jerzy Jeszke (Jean Valjean), Hardy Rudolz (Javert), Cornelia Drese (Fantine), Deborah Dutcher (Cosette), Felix Martin (Marius), Sanni Luis (Éponine), Martin Berger (Enjolras), Tom Zahner (ThĂ©nardier), Anne Welte (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Willi Welp (The Bishop) Les MisĂ©rables - Dutch Revival - Spring, 2008 FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) CAST: RenĂ© van Kooten (Jean Valjean), Wim van den Driessche (Javert), Nurlaila Karim (Fantine), Suzan Seegers (Cosette), Jamai Loman (Marius), CĂ©line Purcell (Éponine), Freek Bartels (Enjolras), Gerben Grimmius (u/s ThĂ©nardier), Marjolein Algera (Madame ThĂ©nardier) NOTES: Complete show, Amateur capture A, Double dvd Les MisĂ©rables - Fifth National Tour - October 5, 2018 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Nick Cartell (Jean Valjean), Josh Davis (Javert), Mary Kate Moore (Fantine), Jillian Butler (Cosette), Joshua Grosso (Marius), Paige Smallwood (Éponine), Matt Shingledecker (Enjolras), J Anthony Crane (ThĂ©nardier), Allison Guinn (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Sam Middleton (Gavroche), Cate Elefante (u/s Little Cosette), Matt Moisey (Grantaire), Monte J Howell (Combeferre), Tim Quartier (s/w Feuilly), Christopher Viljoen (Courfeyrac), Patrick Rooney (Jean Prouvaire), Gabriel Sidney Brown (Joly), Andrew Maughan (Lesgles), Felipe Barbosa Bombonato (Babet), John Ambrosino (Claquesous), Steve Czarnecki (Factory Foreman), Ashley Dawn Mortensen (Factory Girl), John Ambrosino (Bamatabois) Les MisĂ©rables - First Broadway Revival - November 11, 2006 FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Victor Hawks (u/s Jean Valjean), Norm Lewis (Javert), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Fantine), Ali Ewoldt (Cosette), Adam Jacobs (Marius), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Éponine), Aaron Lazar (Enjolras), Gary Beach (ThĂ©nardier), Jenny Galloway (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Jacob Levine (Gavroche), Drew Sarich (Grantaire) NOTES: A nice capture here of Victor as Valjean. The capture is a little on the dark side, but still enjoyable. Les MisĂ©rables - First Broadway Revival - February 17, 2007 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Alexander Gemignani (Jean Valjean), Norm Lewis (Javert), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Fantine), Ali Ewoldt (Cosette), Adam Jacobs (Marius), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Éponine), Drew Sarich (u/s Enjolras), Gary Beach (ThĂ©nardier), Jenny Galloway (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Jacob Levine (Gavroche) NOTES: A really nice video of the first broadway revival. Widescreen. Cleaned up nicely in remastering. And it has Sarich. This is 100% NOT Louise Pitre playing Fantine Les MisĂ©rables - Second Broadway Revival - March 1, 2014 (Preview) (Highlights) (where is your red schaaaf's master) FORMAT:  MOV (HD) CAST: Ramin Karimloo (Jean Valjean), Will Swenson (Javert), Caissie Levy (Fantine), Samantha Hill (Cosette), Andy Mientus (Marius), Nikki M James (Éponine), Kyle Scatliffe (Enjolras), Cliff Saunders (ThĂ©nardier), Keala Settle (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Gaten Matarazzo (Gavroche) NOTES: First preview. It includes most of the show. Loud excited audience. Blind shot from stage right third row, with no zooms. Keala Settle sprained her ankle at some point between The Robbery and One Day More, resulting in her not being in One Day More and using a cane during Wedding Chorale/Beggars at the Feast. It’s refreshing to see different faces in the lead roles, and both Nathaniel and Earl carry the show well. Nathaniel’s vocals are powerful and he has a great rapport with Caissie and Samantha. A lovely capture overall with no obstruction. Look Down is mostly blacked out and there are a couple quick dropouts during The Bishop scene and Lovely Ladies, but the show is otherwise fully intact. There is also some washout in high contrast wide shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. Les MisĂ©rables - Second Broadway Revival - July 1, 2015 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Ramin Karimloo (Jean Valjean), John Rapson (u/s Javert), Erika Henningsen (Fantine), Melissa Mitchell (u/s Cosette), Chris McCarrell (Marius), Brennyn Lark (Éponine), Wallace Smith (Enjolras), Gavin Lee (ThĂ©nardier), Rachel Izen (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Sam Chuck (Gavroche), Joe Spieldenner (Grantaire), Weston Wells Olson (s/w Combeferre) NOTES: Act I begins at "The Runaway Cart" and nearly complete Act II. First time in history two same productions of a major musical played in the same city. Les MisĂ©rables - West End - May 9, 1987 (House-Cam's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) CAST: Martin Smith (u/s Jean Valjean), Clive Carter (Javert), Kathleen Rowe McAllen (Fantine), Jacinta Mulcahy (Cosette), Maurice Clarke (u/s Marius), Jayne Draper (Éponine), Martin George (Enjolras), David Delve (ThĂ©nardier), Myra Sand (Madame ThĂ©nardier), Cameron Stewart (u/s Grantaire) NOTES: Commonly mistaken as December 28, 1988! Les MisĂ©rables - West End - December 28, 1991 (House-Cam's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Stig Rossen (Jean Valjean), Paul Leonard (Javert), Jenna Russell (Fantine), Sarah Jane Hassell (Cosette), Daryll Winslow (Marius), Meredith Braun (Éponine), Mike Sterling (u/s Enjolras), David Hampshire (u/s The Bishop), Amanda Dainty (u/s Factory Girl) NOTES: Black and white. Audio is nice and clear. A more rare color version does exist. (Proof: https://youtu.be/KI_KHnLwk_k) Les MisĂ©rables - West End - May 6, 2006 FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Tim Godwin (u/s Jean Valjean), Cornell John (Javert), Kerry Ellis (Fantine), Julia Möller (Cosette), Hayden Tee (Marius), AJ Callaghan (u/s Éponine), Nolan Dark (u/s Enjolras), Barry James (ThĂ©nardier), Tracie Bennett (Madame ThĂ©nardier) NOTES: Taper’s comments: Amanda and Nolan are better than the principles and Tim sounds uncannily like JOJ (Home Counties accent not-withstanding). He first understudied in 1999, when JOJ was the principal, which may explain the similarity. About half of the Chain Gang song missing and filming starts in earnest during Valjean on parole. Other parts missed because of ushers include several random one-second cover-ups, part of the wedding and about half of Finale. Heads in the way sometimes block the action on the lower right of the stage, but they are shot around well. Vantage point provides some interesting views such as of Fantine during Lovely Ladies. Wonderful performances from the entire cast but especially then soon-to-be-Elphaba Kerry Ellis.
