I damn well know Maeda Gouki when i hear him.

Todoroki x Female MC

8 years after HaLWX

Todoroki Yosuke, along with the other full-time Oyakou members, has created a private security agency with Todoroki as the CEO.

He still remains as stoic as he is but takes his job very seriously.

He easily gets stressed and pissed when an assignment has some issues but relying on his friends (Fujio and the gang) always helps resolve the issues.

As Oyakou alumni, they still look after the district as part of their mission (Todoroki assigned Fujio to lead this group).

Though very diligent, with the help of his friends, he has learned to take things easy and unwind when they could.

He hasn't dated in a long time because most girls just go after his looks and status, so he mainly focused on his responsibilities and only hang out with his friends (including Odajima).

The boys once again set up a dating mixer and upon remembering the funny and failed encounter they had back in high school, Todoroki decided to go just to witness his friends fail hitting on girls for the hundredth time.

You are finishing your master's degree.

You are working part time on a bakery (since you started college) to help pay for your expenses.

You also haven't dated since your 3rd year in college because your last boyfriend cheated on you.

Your best friend from the same department tagged you along (by force) to go to a dating mixer because she thought it's time for you to get to know someone.

During the mixer, Todoroki immediately caught your eye because of how he carried himself. Something about him was different from the other guys.

While doing the introductions, he only curtly bowed to you, so you took it as him not being interested in you.

He was the quiet type but also wasn't dismissive when being talked to. He didn't crack jokes like his friends, but he smiled, smirked, or laughed when he found something funny.

Still, you couldn't help but steal glances at him because when he laughed or smiled at one of his friends' jokes, it made your heart skip a beat.

It was obvious that he was annoyed at the girls who were pushy and aggressively flirted with him, but he was being a gentleman on how he turned their advances down.

You easily got along with his friends (some from Oyakou, some from Housen) because they were so funny, and they enjoyed your comebacks.

In the middle of it all, your best friend and Odajima were in their own world, your best friend completely forgetting about you. She looked happy and they obviously liked each other, so you didn't get in their way.

Those who found each other interesting also started pairing up and talked to each other.

Feeling out of place and a little skeptical about mixer relationships, you decided to head outside for a breath of fresh air.

You were startled when a manly voice suddenly asked you if you regretted coming. When you turned around, it was Todoroki who was already outside long before you, reading something from his phone.

He told you he recognized you as one of the girls from the mixer and that he thought his friends could handle themselves, so they probably don't need him around.

You told him about your best friend being engrossed with a conversation with Odajima. He told you that if Odajima found your friend interesting, you might as well consider going home alone. He awkwardly paused and stuttered because he realized the rudeness of his joke and his reaction made you laugh, taking zero offense to what he said.

You exchanged jokes and laughs with each other, mainly about his friends.

Small talks led to you telling each other about yourselves.

When he noticed you were slightly trembling from the chilly night breeze, he asked you if you wanted to go to a cafe somewhere.

You tried your best to conceal how surprised you were at his offer. You couldn't believe that he might be a little interested in you and the conversation you already had. Wearing the most casual smile you could, you agreed.

None of you used the map to look for a cafe nearby and just strolled around the block and the next, carrying on with your random topics.

At the coffee shop, your conversation with him continued smoothly and naturally without being forced.

It was already past 2:00 AM when you both remembered to check the time.

While you were both silently waiting for the ride you booked for yourself on your phone, he broke the silence and asked for your number.

You were smiling like a teenager on the ride home thinking about Todoroki and any interesting thing he mentioned to you that night.

Your phone pinged, "Good night. Would be nice to see you again soon (if you'd like). -Todoroki," an unknown number texted you.

That night, you know for sure, you've finally come to like someone again after a long time.

High&Low The Worst X (Video Interview)

1:20 Question 1: If you were to switch places with someone, who would it be?

Gouki -- > Hokuto / Hokuto --  > Gouki / Kazuma -- > Akihisa / Akihisa -- > Kazuma

1:26 – 1:44 Gouki joked by saying there was mutual love between them since the matches were perfect and how they succeeded in creating couples (xD). Akihisa suggested changing places and experiencing each other’s work place for one day.

1:46 Gouki: I chose Hoku-chan, because inside himself is something that I could never imagine for me. The softness he has and the characteristic atmosphere he creates, those are things I can’t see inside myself at all. That’s why I chose Hoku-chan. Also, earlier when we were taking the pictures, I thought he was cute. I pointed at him because he was cute.

2:38 Hokuto: My reason (for choosing Gouki) is kind of similar. Gouki-kun has traits that I don’t have, he is unexpectedly really good at talking and he lights up the mood of the room. I can’t do these at all, if it were something like a joint party (they are teasing him here asking if he really is alright with just a joint party, Gouki added that he feels thrilled/fluttered and gestured him to go on), he’d be the most interesting person and the one to bring the tension up, I feel like he’d be one of the popular people.

3:19 Gouki: Let’s go to a bar together after this (everyone laughing). I am really happy, thank you.

3:31 Kazuma: I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who reflects the word “Beauty” as much as Akihisa, that’s the first reason. His external appearance is one thing of course, but taking into consideration his heart too I start thinking if it’s possible for a person to be so beautiful/pure. Personally, I am the type who is pretty calm/composed and Aki-kun is too. But when we are together, I can’t feel this, the atmosphere isn’t stressful. He is even more composed than I am, it makes me wonder where that maturity comes from.

4:28 Akihisa: Lately though, I am doing more and more as I like. I am trying to bring back my innocence/naive part.

4:41 Akihisa: For me, I admire Kazuma as a man and when for example he stands in the middle of the stage as an artist I’ve been thinking that it must feel good. The mysterious feeling he gives off and this calm side of him become into a performance, I find this amazing. You can’t of course pass this feeling without doing anything, and I think he has a lot of potential in him. And I understand that he is not achieving all this without giving it any thought at all, so including that part of his I respect him.

5:45 Question 2: What are the highlights/the parts to look forward to in this movie?

5:50 Kazuma: The atmosphere in Oya High School. This time, right from the start everyone is on good terms with each other and have strong bonds. I would like you all to look out for that emotion and passion that comes to life thanks to those strong relationships.

6:08 Hokuto: Thinking of HiGH&LOW, actions comes to mind first. This time, I think the actions scenes make up more than half of the movie! It’s filled with them more than half. The action scenes that will make you feel nervous and excited are the highlight.

6:27 Gouki: With time having passed at Oya High School, everyone has taken on their individual roles creating an atmosphere where their chemistry shows. Similarly to the previous works, Housen joins forces (with Oya High School) and they form a team carrying similar aspirations. This time we see other schools appearing too and I feel like their “colours” (their traits basically) are divided pretty clearly. I think it’s a good chance to start looking for your favourite character/team again!

6:59 Akihisa: Among the 4 of us I am the only one who is coming from Housen and not Oya High School, I’d like you to see how Housen will be involved in the story with Sachio absent. Even without Sachio, I’d be happy if you’d look out for the resolutions and the soul Housen has inherited.

7:23 Was there a change in the relationship between Fujio and Tsukasa?

7:28 Kazuma: Compared to the previous works I felt like there were more easy scenes and parts in terms of acting, it came out very natural at some times.

7:36 Akihisa: Last time, after the movie you also had the shooting of a drama right? In the drama you also had a one-on-one fight, I believe the relationship you two had there had a great impact.

7:50 Hokuto: There was that feeling of distance between them having crossed fists once, but they have managed to create a strange relationship where they understood each other without words.

8:02 Kazuma: Aside that we are also together in THE RAMPAGE working as a group, and even in the group as positions as quite similar to the ones we have in Oya High School. During that time we were able to talk a lot, and so even after we entered the movie (as characters) we naturally maintained that good relationship without having to talk much.

8:41 Gouki: Fujio definitely looks like he wouldn’t dance! Like a concert.. (imitating Kazuma’s and Hokuto’s poses and moves). And Tsukasa would never do anything like dancing! So are you two really able to act so different characters without any switch at all? Do you just say like “Start” and get right away to it? (Kazuma agreed) Tell me about that switch later! 

9:14 Hokuto: We’d actually like to ask you instead

9:20 Gouki: Like even if you think of Yuta there are some expressions that might be similar to performing on stage, but he showed such amazing acting that it’s difficult to believe it’s his first time. I felt that from you two as well. And I guess we grow and develop along with the roles we have, so that’s why it becomes easier to get into them. I ended up talking all the time though even though I intended to ask the question to you.

9:48 Kazuma: Even though our roles confront each other, we normally interact together openly, talking even when there is no camera and strengthening our relationship like that.

10:05 Akihisa: Seeing the poster you know right away that Fujio and Suzaki clash with each other, and so me and Gouki-kun were watching from the side that fight of “soul vs soul” (their spirits, their will and passion) and were discussing that it was amazing.

10:22 Gouki: I am not sure from what position exactly we should be saying it but objectively we both ended up thinking “Wow that was awesome”.

DESCRIPTION

Sato Ryuji, Maeda Gouki and Uekiya Satoshi go on a trip together where they are allowed to do whatever they want to do.

In this episode, they decide to do a walking food tour and visit a local shrine. Along the way, they get their love fortunes told, and we get a rare opportunity to witness Ryuji's shyness in action.

TRIVIA

Sato Ryuji, Maeda Gouki and Uekiya Satoshi co-star with each other in "HiGH&LOW THE WORST" where they play Nishikawa Yasushi, Todoroki Yosuke and Yokoyama Kiyoshi respectively.

In addition to working together, they hang out in private quite often too. They have gone on trips together where they've celebrated New Year's Eve, and Gouki-kun has talked about how Ryuji and Satoshi-kun are supportive of him even in his personal life. Both he and Satoshi-kun have attended Ryuji's performances multiple times, and Ryuji has invited them as guests for his personal event, "Tada no Kai".

Satoshi-kun also acted in "Castor & Pollux", which is the stage play Ryuji directed, wrote and acted in, and Gouki-kun has also attended this stage play.

Got these Gouki Maeda photo books and omg 😭💕 The pictures are all so cute! I can’t share more images than the cover of the books per the rules from his fan-ily, but I am allowed to say my thoughts on it and what pictures I liked. I pretty much liked them all but I am partial to the ones where he’s wearing glasses in the first book and this one with a white sweater ahhh��� Second book he has a lot of cute smiley ones and the ones with the lanterns are very pretty. Very nice books and quite big. I thought they’d be like the scale of my Kenichi Matsuyama one. ^^!

In "Sexy Tanaka-san," taking on the role of Shingo Nakahara, Kazuma Kawamura (THE RAMPAGE) will play the friend of Akari (Meru Nukumi). The two of them share a peculiar history together.

"Sexy Tanaka-san," a new Sunday drama series on NTV (which airs every Sunday at 10:30 p.m.), will premiere on October 22 (Sun).

Haruka Kinami, who plays the main character as Ms. Tanaka, and Meru Nukumi as Akari, a temporary office worker who recognizes Ms. Tanaka's true charm. Katsuya Maiguma, Kazuma Kawamura, Gouki Maeda, and Ken Yasuda co-star as male cast members falling in love with the two!

Kawamura will play the role of Shingo Nakahara, a friend of Akari’s who slept with her once.

A fascinating cast of characters is present in the original story of the manga. Despite the distinct attractions of each character, Ms. Tanaka serves as the catalyst for change in the thoughts and behavior of those around her. The manga is remarkable for its content and direction, which are both encouraging and positive.

Shingo Nakahara is a captivating character; transparent or not, he has a firm yet seemingly unreliable air about him. I am excited to see how well and naturally I can portray his qualities. And, above all, because it is an adaptation of a manga, unless there is something more convenient, I would like to act as if I had jumped straight out of the manga. I want to perform the character's actions without altering them. Although there are past depictions of unacceptable behavior, I personally like that the character seems a lot less flirtatious and playful from then on.

I haven't met Mrs. Kinami, who plays the lead role, and I don't know what kind of person she is, but I am looking forward to working with her in the future. I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Nukumi before, and I can attest to the fact that she is a skilled actor. Her on-air performance left me astonished. I think this is a very well-balanced environment, and I will absorb and learn from everyone every day.

I’ve been meaning to ask about the High & Low franchise since you seem to know about it. How heavily interconnected are all the different tv series and movies? Yes, I’m one of those Yuta-biased people that would love to watch the movie he’s in but got overwhelmed with the amount of content that precedes it. 😅 So basically can I get away with watching just that one movie (or that and the previous one) and still have some idea what’s going on or is there like ”previously on” type of summary that I can read/watch? 😅 I tried watching the first tv series a while ago but couldn’t really get into it so I don’t think I can commit to watching every single installment.

hii!! and you've come to the right place 🤣 you don't need to watch all of them to be able to understand it in my opinion they're definitely connected but not heavily connected. I haven't watched The Worst X movie yet so I can't be 100% certain if you need to watch The Worst before watching it but I'd say you probably should to get context especially on the characters since that's where they (other than the new ones) are mainly introduced. it's no thoughts head empty kinda series so you don't really need the context and can probably figure it out yourself 🤣

i'd say the high&low series is broken down into 2 parts and the worst is the second part so you don't really need to watch the prev instalments to understand the worst universe (if you wanted to watch the H&L 1-3 movies and/or the red rain move i would have a different answer because those are definitely connected and the 2 series also would give more context to those, but still aren't necessary to watch them) (just for clarity road to high&low is literally just a movie version of the first series)

the school in the worst movies is introduced in the earlier series/movies but only really todoroki (maeda gouki's character, if you've seen any of the trailers for The Worst X then he's the black haired character with the glasses) is introduced there and it does give his back story within those but that's not necessary to understand the worst movies, the earlier movies/series mostly focus on tokodoroki's dynamic with the gang leader at the time Murayama (YamaYuki's character, who you do see in The Worst movie but isn't as much of a leading character as he was in the series/movies that focused on the non-school related gangs)

there is a high&low wiki it's not extensive but it can give you some of the knowledge you might want to know about S.W.O.R.D & the school that The Worst/The Worst X focuses on without having to watch the previous instalments (sadly there's not much on the specific series themselves) & you can always ask me if you want any like context or something explained (though i do recommend watching them all but it is a lot so i can understand not wanting too, even i haven't managed to watch them all yet 🤣 mostly due to lack of access to subs & raws like i still need to watch 6 from high&low the worst so i don't know if it's necessary to watch that one before watching the the worst x but i don't think you'll be missing out on too much other than possibly some introductions to some characters, i know Morisaki Win's character was introduced in this series and he does make an appearance in The Worst X but most of the time when they do reference prev instalments it's in a way that makes sense even for people who haven't seen it, plus the worst x is said to be a sequel to the the worst movie so you shouldn't need to watch the series, am i just repeating myself now 🤣)

so in conclusion i'd probably recommend watching The Worst movie before watching The Worst X
