This is a Death Note gift exchange of fanart and fanfiction that works just like Secret Santa. You will receive a gift of art or writing from your very own Secret Shinigami, and return the favor by creating a gift for your very own Kira. This time, we’re celebrating the birthday of Kanzo Mogi (9/13).

i ordered some gashapons to make a higuchi themed gacha pouch! i'm so happy with it 💜

some details about my choices: -slide phone instead of a regular flip phone, since higuchi has a similar one -a smith & wesson revolver miniature, the same brand higuchi has -vol 6 of manga because that's where higuchi appears most (+i like the purple color scheme)

One cannot be a Death Note fan without frothing at the mouth at the sight of religious imagery, so my fanart is always bound to be littered with it - and I especially love drawing Teru with wings! The bible quote at the top is one I saw chiseled into the ceiling of a cathedral I visited recently, while this was still a sketch, and I thought it just fit perfectly so I added it!

Anyway, I hope this reaches other Teru Mikami enjoyers :]

I did not know this. I was vagueposted by the official writer of the fever dream audio drama four years ago and I straight up didn't know.

I admit I do feel sorry that my personal impression is the only version of this drama actually available for an international audience - that must be pretty frustrating for this author.

They wrote it in English, it was translated to German, and THEN summarized and translated back into English by me... and that is just forever going to be the only way their work is going to be available to people who speak their actual language. That must suck immensely.

But ultimately it's kind of the fault of publishers for not valueing their work. Shitty situation all around.

I truly do not think their audio drama is a Good Representation(TM) of the story, but it IS one of my favourite adaptations solely for the absolutely surreal experience I had listening to how out of pocket it got. Hats off to this guy!
