New data from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has revealed that K2-18 b, an exoplanet nearly nine times the size of Earth, could be an example of a theorized class of planets with hydrogen-rich atmospheres, vast liquid oceans and the potential to support life. Observations taken by the telescope detected the presence of carbon-bearing molecules such as methane and carbon-dioxide, according to a NASA press release published on Monday. Astronomers also picked up signs of a molecule called dimethyl sulfide (DMS) – which, on Earth, is only produced by living things. K2-18 b is an exoplanet orbiting a dwarf star roughly 120 light years away from Earth in the constellation of Leo. It is categorized as a sub-Neptune, a class of planets that are between the size of Earth and Neptune and common in the universe, although not in our solar system. Scientists have known about K2-18 b for a while, with initial observations taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, but these new observations taken with the James Webb Telescope have provided details that astronomers had previously only wondered about. "Our findings underscore the importance of considering diverse habitable environments in the search for life elsewhere," Nikku Madhusudhan, an astronomer at the University of Cambridge and lead author of a paper announcing these results, said in the release. "Traditionally, the search for life on exoplanets has focused primarily on smaller rocky planets, but the larger Hycean worlds are significantly more conducive to atmospheric observations."

Mahabharata AU—pt.4
Masterlist<– rest of the parts here <3
This time...something happened even more shocking...
Savyasachi had started glowing in yellow light, it was like Suryanarayan had bestowed himself behind her.
Her form had suddenly changed to an ancient, elegant, beautiful yet utterly powerful woman with a silhouette of a goddess sitting on a lotus with four arms and holding lotuses in two of them behind her, as if signifying an incarnation of them. "From now on, i am not one of the Pandavas, i am not a Kaunteya, or even a member of the Kuru clan!" She snapped at everyone present.
Kunti gasped, horrified, while the Pandava brothers cried. The Kuru elders didn't know what to feel and shook their heads in sorrow. "Raaj Maata Kunti, Maharani Gandhari, Panchali, if you wish to save yourselves, then renounce and leave this court room. Because this whole court will drown today…" Everyone's eyes widened in horror or shock.
"I am not a human anymore...but Death..ONLY DEATH! I am the death of all the wicked men present in this unrighteous court! And I curse that....right now! At this very moment!-" "no Arjuni!" She got interrupted by Gandhari. Gandhari joined her arms before her. "Please don't curse, Arjuni! Forgive them! Please forgive them!"
The divine woman ignored the pleas of the Subalaputri. "Duryodhan! You are very attached to the wealth and throne of Hastinapur, no? Well, i curse you! I curse every single greedy men here! All of you would become poor, poorer than beggars! You all would have no food, and would be under so torturous conditions that you would beg to god for death every moment, but your suffering would not end, not until the Almighty himself decides to...That includes Dhritarashtra and Shakuni as well as the Kauravas too..." She looked at everyone with rageful eyes, not caring about any of the looks she was recieving.
"And those who stayed quiet...they would go through grave consequences..." she stated, her voice velvety and grave.
She looked at the dice table, clenched her teeth and flipped it over with such force that it broke into pieces, scattering all over on the lower floor.
Karna had then walked up to her, but she backed away yet again. "I am telling you! Do not even dare to come near me!" Arjuni, still in her unknown form, held out her hand again to stop him in his way. Karna did stop, but said "Arjuni, please, please calm down, please Behena, for your Jyesht...please."
The Kuru members couldn't even comprehend what was happening. First, the Vastraharan attempt of their Rajkumari, then her changing her form to an ancient, slightly blue yet dusky, powerful, exquisite, divine woman and now this? Angaraj calling his greatest rival his sister?
"I am not Arjuni any longer! I am not the person you all once knew!"
"Parthavi..." a soft, melodious, impossibly gentle voice called out. Everyone turned their heads towards the sudden appearance of the godly presence. Duryodhan scoffed, angrily.
Krishna ignored the stares and focused on the other divine presence and walked towards her with benign steps. "Oh Parthavi...you are right. You are only Madhav's Parthavi and Narayan's Naari..." The mention of the names seemed to break something inside of her, because her body had jerked in a way as if she had just broken out of a trance herself. Krishna still continued his way towards her with tranquil steps.
The divine form as well as the silhouette of goddess Lakshmi broke and dissappeared, as if mixed into the air.
Madhusudhan by that time had gotten close to Vijayaa and had embraced her, his embrace providing her the solace she needed so much. Her body finally became tired and she had finally embraced the oblivion she had so wished for, falling unconscious in her Madhav's, in her Narayan's arms.
He was right...she was Madhav's Parthavi...and Narayan's Naari...

An article accepted for publication in the journal "The Astrophysical Journal Letters" reports the results of a study of the exoplanet K2-18 b, including the discovery of carbon compounds such as methane in its atmosphere. A team of researchers led by Nikku Madhusudhan of the British University of Cambridge used observations conducted with the James Webb Space Telescope's NIRISS and NIRSpec instruments to probe the atmosphere of K2-18 b. It's an exoplanet already considered interesting due to its characteristics and its position in its planetary system's habitable zone. Spectral analyzes also suggest the possible presence of dimethyl sulfide (DMS), a compound considered a biomarker. These are discoveries that add to the previous ones regarding an exoplanet that led to the proposal of the Hycean class.

Odisha’s Silver Filigree; A Timeless Craft Touching All Hearts
Odisha is a cultural treasure trove, known for its rich heritage of art and craftsmanship. Art flourishes in every nook and corner of Odisha such as Dhokra, Horn Work, Terracotta, etc. Every craft has its beauty.
One such prolific craft is Silver Filigree, from the historic city of Cuttack. Today as we delve into the art, we will unfurl what makes the craft so loveable and amazing. Also called Tarakasi locally, it stands out as a testament to the state’s creative spirit.
A Brief History
Tracing its roots from Cuttack, silver filigree art has been perfected by skilled artisans for over 500 years. The craft has been passed down through generations, which gives Cuttack its own distinct identity- the Silver City of Odisha. The artisans, with years of professional training and guidance, continue to produce masterpieces that captivate us all with their beauty and detail. Many of you might not have known that the art form received significant patronage under the Mughal Empire, which helped it flourish during its reign.
The Crafting Process
While every silver filigree artwork brings out creativity and craftsmanship in the best form, have you ever thought of the tedious process of making a tarakasi product?
Silversmiths use 90% alloy or pure silver in their work. It all begins with melting silver lumps in clay pots over a coal fire, with the temperature carefully regulated by bellows operated it takes about ten minutes for the silver to melt completely, and it is then poured into a rod-like mould, which is then submerged in the water for cooling.
Next, the cooled silver is placed in a machine that will press the rods into long, thin wires. These wires are then twisted and moulded into interesting shapes and designs by the artisans. Once the designs are complete, the artworks are then put through the process of cleaning and polishing. The pieces are dipped in an acidic solution and polished using various tools, bringing out a fine shine that highlights their intricate details.
A Saga of Revival
Over time, the craft began gaining popularity under the Mughals and the Marathas. In between the craft lost its sheen for the buyers. But again, it was revived during the 20th century, by Madhusudhan Das, who is known as the architect of modern Odisha. He set up a workshop called Utkal Arts Work Factory.
Despite the daunting challenges our artisans face, their dedication and hard work is unwavering. Their creativity shines through the products and jewellery that they craft, which features intricate floral designs, and finely crafted animals and birds. These handcrafted pieces of joy often serve as cherished souvenirs, adorning elegant homes.
As Decors & Utility Items
For those who love adorning themselves with handcrafted jewellery, Odisha’s silver filigree offers a variety of options. From earrings and necklaces to bracelets and brooches, these handmade pieces suit every occasion. If you are an avid shopper and also a lover of handicrafts, you must visit silver shops in Odisha for an enchanting piece of silver filigree to add to your collection of jewels and décor items.
If you frequently attend parties, outings, and functions, consider wearing silver filigree ornaments to stand out in the crowd. Embellished with intricate designs, these ornaments have an allure to them! They will add a unique touch to your personality and style.
If you are an admirer of art, remember that silver filigree work is not limited to only jewellery, but there is a vast variety of art pieces to explore from. Jewellery boxes, pen holders, purses, sindoor boxes etc, you will be enthralled to see the variety of silver filigree products from Cuttack in the marketplaces.
So when are you planning to buy a silver filigree product for yourself?
Weekends will be a good time. Take some time out and visit a good silver shop that sells silver filigree products form Odisha.

FONTE: https://www.theguardian.com/science/article/2024/jul/17/signs-of-two-gases-phosphine-ammonia-in-clouds-of-venus-life #VENUS #LIFE #UNIVERSE

Arjuna groaned.
Krishna's dusky skin seemed blurry.
Maybe it was his own vision that had blurred or his eyes had gone dilated, Arjuna was not sure.
Arjuna suddenly felt his back hitting a wall, and his hands were pinned above his head. He was pushed and pinned to the wall. He gasped and he saw who did that. It was his Madhav.
Krishna simply came closer till him and his Parth were breathing in the same air. He paused for a moment and then closed the gap between their lips.
"M-madhav..." Arjuna whispered in a moan. "T-this is wrong...Madhav...w-we are c-commiting a sin." He managed between his panting.
Krishna smirked mischievously. "So who is going to punish us for it? The Lord of the Universe?"
"You...–" Arjuna couldn't continue anymore as Muralimanohar slammed his lips onto Savyasachi's. The latter couldn't retaliate because his hands were pinned above his head and only He himself and God knew how much he wanted this, for who knows how long.
Krishna broke the kiss again. Arjuna's vexation was shut off with a minute of bliss so complete, that it hurt. He would do anything for that bliss again, where he would not have to think anything, just Krishna, Krishna, Krishna...
"Madhav...–"
"Say my name again." Krishna groaned.
"W-what...?" Asked Arjuna, confused.
"You say my name so sweetly, Parth. Like...like honey..." Krishna leaned in more, having an unknown glint in his multihued eyes.
"Your name means honey...Madhav." Arjuna smiled.
"Say it again." Krishna unpinned Arjuna's hands, who in return wrapped his muscular arms around Madhusudhan gently, and whispered in husky tones in his ear. "Madhav...My Madhav..."
Shudders of desire ran through Krishna's body. He put his head on Vijaya's shoulder, as the latter whispered his lover's name in husky tones, accompanied by how much he loved him.
When it was too much to handle, Krishna threw Arjuna on the bed roughly, almost violently, and kissed him abruptly, inserting his tongue in the mouth of the other.
The sun blushed red at the union of the two souls, who were desperate and yearning for each other, and set for the day.
Arjuna didn't mind the roughness of his lover. He didn't mind at all..
