So the word is getting out and things are in motion, so it's time to let it all out! MadHouse Gym will be merging both the Austell Location (11,000 sq ft) and the Lithia Springs location (7,000 sq ft) into one location to house EVERYTHING AND MORE in our new 32,000 square foot facility just two miles down the road in Mableton, GA! Lots of work still needs to be done before the move can happen, but the room we'll gain and new toys we can add will be incredible! A gym should be just like it's members...always trying to be better today than it was yesterday...and that's exactly what we're trying to do for you! Thanks for all your support and for helping us in trying to achieve our goal of being the best gym in the United States! We hope everybody has some exciting plans to celebrate the holiday weekend! MadHouse Gym has decided to mark the occasion by adding a much requested piece. Please enjoy the 474th addition to our line-up, the Arsenal Strength Reloaded Incline Fly, and thank you to @bridwellpenny for modeling it for us! This type of machine has had mixed reviews, with some brands just not having a good feel and some really hurting the shoulders. But we kept hearing that the Arsenal version was the best, so we gave it a chance...and it is awesome! No shoulder pain, good stretch and squeeze, and the curved back support feels like the perfect setup for full range movement of the pecs. We definitely picked the right one and we hope it helps to you get to your goals a little faster. Thank you to MadHouse Indepent Personal Trainer @_htxn for modeling our 48th leg press and 472nd piece of equipment, and one that I've been hoping to add for YEARS now! The Elite FTS Power Squat has a really great feel and is very easy to use via it's foot petal-based re-racking system. But what I LOVE about this piece is it's ENORMOUS foot plate! There's nothing else like it in the industry and I want our people to have the best. With a foot plate this size, the setup options are limitless and you'll be able to hit angles that no other machine offers. Side note: I've noticed that (with the way it was made) it may be difficult for the user to rack and unrack this machine if you're 5'4 or less when facing toward the back pad. Thank you to @dr.allenbobbyjr for demonstrating our 471st addition to MadHouse Gym! The legend Fitness LeverEDGE Incline Press. This morning, we posted the Nautilus Power Plus Incline Press, and this piece is a perfect complement to that one...because what one doesn't offer, the other definitely does. Two primary advantages of the Legend are the adjustable angle incline and the convergence. Since it's Monday, we wanted to make sure this piece was installed early for INTERNATIONAL CHEST DAY!!! Please welcome our 470th piece to the MadHouse Arsenal, the Nautilus Power Plus Incline Chest Press. Honestly, I'll never understand why some of the best stuff out there was made over 35 years ago, but this is another perfect example. This machine is made to easily and quickly adjust in seat height, depth setting, and switching from Isolateral to bilateral movements. This plate loaded Incline doesn't really have a convergence, but that's really a good thing since almost every modern piece does, and we're looking to change movement styles for muscle confusion and preventing repetitive motion injuries. I think this is going to be a favorite in our gym, but we've got a few more things in mind that will be coming soon. This work in progress never stops, and just like our members try to do for themselves, we want to take strides to make MadHouse better every single day if we can. New to MadHouse!!! The Nebula Fitness Seated Calf Raise! Yes, we still have the Hammer Strength Seated Calf sitting a few feet away, but this was a piece we couldn't turn down because of it's versatility, it's history, and honestly, we're just huge fans of Nebula. As I've been told, this is one of the earlier designs by @eilermantom that has more adjustment points than later models. The foot bar is curved for arch support and can be adjusted forward or back to meet the needs of the user. The lap bar adjusts forward and back to accommodate upper leg length, and it also adjusts up and down for lower leg height. Even the seat adjusts up and down to help you find your perfect positioning. We love this piece because it's literally made for anyone whether you're four feet tall or seven. You'll have no problem making this machine fit your frame! This piece, made by Nebula Fitness, came by way of our friend in Maryland, @alikbean after he purchased it from Rob and Dana Linn Bailey's legendary Warhouse Gym in Reading, Pennsylvania. Thanks to @getfitwithchrys for modeling our newest Leg Press...the Hammer Strength MTS Squat! It's somewhat like the Hammer Strength H-Squat was combined with a Nautilus Duo Squat. Each leg has it's own weight stack and it keeps the pressure out of your knees but still hits quads and glutes well. This machine is a great tool to reveal and allow you to address your imbalances. There are very few of these out there and we really appreciate @bigdoggym in the UK for helping us secure this piece. Here's a quick tutorial on one of our most unusual, rarest, and most versatile machines in MadHouse. While we loved this piece before, a lot of our bigger guys couldn't use it very well because the beginning phase of the lift had them reaching way back into the armpits to grab the handles. After a minor alteration, it's better than ever! It has two separate 230 pound stacks that can easily challenge our strongest lifters, a killer convergence, and the seat and back pad can be adjusted to fit any user to press at virtually any angle from a slight decline press all the way to overhead work. For anyone wondering what happened to our blue Magnum Fitness Perfect Squat, it was used in a trade deal to help us secure the Precor Squat Machine, and was immediately replaced with this identical model Magnum Fitness Perfect Squat. Hope I didn't scare too many of you over the weekend when it was removed. Several years back, when Hoist Fitness came out with their Roc-it line, I wrote it off in my head as a gimmick...another way to try amd grab attention and steal sales from more legitimate strength equipment companies. Well...as I get older I'm slowly starting to "grow up" and learn that I'm not always right and and that it pays big to keep an open mind. At MadHouse, we're continually looking for new and different ways to move the body, shock the muscles into a response, and alter movement pathways to keep the risk of repetitive motion injury low. The Hoist Roc-it Plate Loaded Shoulder Press is a perfect addition to our lineup for all of these causes. Of the 20+ Shoulder Press machines we have on the floor here, this is the ONLY ONE that alters the direction of the press during the movement in the way it does, completely setting it apart from all the rest. The large grip area gives the user a lot of grip positions to use, and the convergence is strong, making it feel more comfortable to not lock out at the top, thereby keeping the stress in the delts where it belongs. But it's also just a fun machine to use and that goes a long way when training. So you were right #hoistfitness and I was wrong. We spent Sunday working on some upgrades for the gym. About half of the room directly connected to the women's restroom will be dedicated to plate loaded glutes training! The other half of that room is a very special project that will start soon. This move frees up a good bit of space in the main gym area for new equipment AND provides a little privacy for glute training now that it has it's not out in the open. We also added a new doorway that will allow direct access from the main room to this area and the women's restroom. We weren't really looking, but we found so many deals on epic equipment that we couldn't help but make a few additions to the MadHouse lineup. The Flex Fitness Selectorized Pec Dec has a great feel and moves at a slightly declined angle, feeling somewhat similar to the movement of the Nautilus Double Chest, but different enough to warrant a place here. The Flex Fitness Leverage Shoulder Press is a part of the hard to find and highly sought after Leverage line. After Flex was purchased by Star Trac, they continued making similar pieces, but they just don't feel like the original. I like this piece, but it's hard for larger people to use it in the traditional way, and they tend to lay on their stomach to use this piece, rather than their back. The Nautilus Power Plus 10° Chest Fly is the direct predecessor of the Hammer Strength 10° chest, both being designed by Gary Jones, son of Arthur Jones, founder of Nautilus. The two feel similar, but different body types will likely prefer one over the other. This is a great historic mid-eighties piece! The Strive Selectorized Shoulder Press and the Strive Selectorized Chest Press are both great additions to our gym. The movement path is always great with this brand, and they continue to make quality equipment under their new name of Prime Fitness. The Shoulder has a 250 pound stack while the chest has a 350 pound stack. Both pieces use SMART Technology, allowing you to alter the cam using 9 different settings to make different parts of the movement more or less difficult based on your needs.
