How many kinds of âblueâ macaw are there? I knew of hyacinth and spixâs, but not the indigo/learâs.
Hyacinth, Spix's and Indigo/Lear's are the only species I know of... (as far as mainly blue macaws).
Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus), nesting pair, family Psittacidae, order Psittaciformes, found in central and eastern South America

Learâs Macaw aka Indigo Macaw (Anodorhynchus leari), family Psittacidae, order Psittaciformes, found only in northeast Bahia, Brazil.
ENDANGERED.

Spix's Macaw (Cyanopsitta spixii), family Psittacidae, order Psittaciformes, historically found in the Caatinga habitat of eastern Brazil
ENDANGERED.
This species went extinct in the wild, and is being reintroduced into a small area of its historic habitat.

They are almost all I think about at the moment and I just started thinking about this specifically sooo
Smiling Friends Headcanons:
Things the Main 4 Would Do Together And How Often (Part 1)
1. Clubbing/Hanging Out at a Bar - Theyâd go about monthly or less, mostly just for drinks, but I think theyâd get silly and dance a bit on occasion.
2. Card Games/Board Games- Theyâd do these at least twice a month based on the chess board in the show. I think theyâd like games like Uno, Monopoly, and Sorry the best. Even though it brings out the evil in them (/j; Theyâre just competitive about it; I imagine them jokingly saying stuff likeâfuck youâ (Charlie) âyou bitchâ (Glep) âassholeâ (Alan) âson of a gunâ (Pim) when they lose or get fucked over LMAO)
3. Puzzles - Theyâd complete about two of these with 1000 count pieces a year I think. Itâs either relaxing or frustrating for them and no in between, so anymore than two would be rage inducing and in poor taste. The worst would be the circle puzzles (I imagine Alan shouting âWHO TOOK MY FUCKING EDGE PIECESâ [they fell under the table] [Charlie tells him to fuck off] [glep talks shit] [pim is cringing] [itâs a whole thing] [the pieces arenât discovered for at least an hour] [once theyâre found, bickering resumes])
4. Video Games - Itâs brought up somewhat often in the show, so I think they would play weekly or twice a week at least. Fighting games like Super Smash Bros are definitely a preference, but I think theyâd enjoy things like Mario Cart and Mario Party sometimes too. Theyâre a little competitive, but mostly chill overall. Lots of high fives and fist bumps go around regardless of who wins. Maybe a bit of playful rage for fun, but nothing too sincerely angry (honestly theyâre more chill about it than the board games in my head).
5. Fishing - This is either a yearly thing or they only do it once. Some crazy shit like a shark jumping on the boat or the boat sinking would happen and then they would swear to never do it again. Other than that, I think Pim would be into it, Alan would be super into it and have all the gear, knowledge, and stuff, Charlie would be chill about it, and Glep would just enjoy looking at the water. It would be relaxing assuming thereâs no incident or intense weather.
6. Visiting the Zoo - This would be an annual occurrence where theyâd go when itâs not so busy. Their favorite exhibits would be the following: Pim would love all the birds like Macaws and the Koalas (they like to sing and hug (respectively)!!! So cute!!!), Alan would love the wildcats like Lions and Panthers (I feel like his previous favorite would be the bugs, but after the incident where he got crucified, he wouldnât like them so much anymore since theyâre small and potentially violent like the bliblies; Also he gives cat lover vibes), Charlie would like the frogs and apes (for the memes and alpha male vibes), and Glee would adore the llamas and camels (they spit just like him). I also think they would be really into collecting those souvenir coins you make with a quarter and a penny and get one each after every visit.
7. Visiting Cheese Factories - This would also be an annual occurrence courtesy of Alan. Theyâd go to different ones, but a favorite would probably be the Tillamook factory! (I can speak personally when I say their ice cream and cheese are sooo good and I think they would be Alan/Smiling Friends approved; Their free self-guided factory tours are pretty cool too imo!). There would be no complaints because there are free cheese samples and Alan would pay for ice cream for everyone. Also it just makes Alan happy, so Pim, Charlie and Glep are glad to tag along and pitch in for stuff like souvenirs and gas money after going a couple times and knowing they like it too! I have also thought about their favorite kinds of cheeses and ice cream (not put together for clarification, just separately): Alan would be into Swiss and Coffee Almond Fudge, Pim would like Colby Jack and Carmel Swirl, Charlie would be a Medium Cheddar and Mudslide kind of guy, and Glep would like Provolone and Mint Chocolate Chip.
All of this is assuming they have time, of course, which means they can freely cancel this stuff or postpone it because life is crazy bro. And they have full time jobs. And I still have more stuff that I think they would do, so some stuff that they do more often would probably alternate.

A snippet that won't leave the recesses of my brain:
When the tour bus stopped at a random gas station in Minnesota, and Gustavo said they could stretch their legs, Ronnie didn't bother with a coat while the guys tripped over each other eagerly. They grew restless on the bus, especially without hockey for so long.
Across the way, there was a snow mound. The frosty air nipped at her skin. The apples of her cheeks and the tips of her ears flushed. Ronnie haphazardly put on those fingerless gloves and walked across the street to the snow mound. Everything was covered in a pristine, white blanket. The surrounding trees lost all their leaves, and the snow piled on the thin and seemingly flimsy branches.
Without much warning, the songwriter fell face-first into the snow mound. Logan, James, and Carlos were preoccupied with throwing snow at each other and trying to tackle each other in the cold. A snowball smacked Kendall in the cheek, and he turned his head. Panic shot through him, and he rushed across the street, narrowly missing one of James' snowballs. Without missing a beat, he rolled her onto her back and crouched over her.
"Ronnie? Ronnie, are you okay?" Kendall gently tapped her face, and she swatted his hand away.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Aside from her red face, her eyes were watery, and she sniffled.
"You're going to get sick." Kendall made her sit up and then helped her to her feet. "What's wrong? You've been... Off for most of the tour."
"Like I said, it's fine." Ronnie pulled her hood on and pulled the drawstrings, making the fabric bunch up tight around her face.
"You don't seem fine." Kendall followed after her as she started walking in a random direction. "Hey, we could go on a walk. Not a long one, obviously."
"Kendall!" Ronnie gasped when she nearly tripped over him.
The blonde crouched to the floor and smiled over his shoulder. She stared at him like he had three heads. What was his plan? What was he trying to do?
"Except, I'm not letting you walk because I know you'll blame me for how exhausted you'll be when we get back."
"So, you're giving me a piggyback ride?"
"Come on. I won't drop you."
Ronnie sighed and rolled her eyes. There was no harm in letting Kendall give her a piggyback ride. The blonde chuckled and made sure he had a tight grip on her legs. The songwriter wrapped her arms around the singer, but not too tightly. She leaned her cheek against the beanie sitting atop his head.
They hadn't walked long until her eyelids felt heavy, and exhaustion overtook her. She hadn't been sleeping well, not because of the tour bus but because of her breakup with Curt. Ronnie exhaled slowly. Her muscles relaxed, and she felt the tenseness in her shoulders melt away. Out of all the people, she would fall asleep the easiest. Did it have to be Kendall?
"Hey, Birdie?"
Ronnie grumbled and hoped he couldn't feel how warm her face was through the beanie. Kendall gave her that nickname not only to annoy the shit out of her but because she changed her hair color frequently, which made him think of the Rainbow Macaw. She didn't hate the nickname, but she would never tell Kendall that. He was pretty proud of the nickname. If Ronnie were any type of creature, she would be a poisonous tree frog.
"What happened? The day Gustavo announced the tour, you and Curt had a fight."
"Nothing..." Ronnie mumbled. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she sighed contentedly. The blonde was a great space heater.

Soooo I saw you're taking requests for mini fanfics đ Could I request something with Elena and Skylar? I really love their friendship :>
â âÂĄHola Reina!â
âElena knew that voice, she looked up from the scroll she'd been reading. âHi Skylar-â But the words were cut off with a gasp. Instead of the blue and gold macaw jaguar she expected to see, before her stood a somewhat shaggy looking fellow with dark hair, bright eyes, and a golden & blue outfit.Â
â âWait, Skylar is that you!?â She exclaimed.Â
âHe shrugged his shoulders, looking around. âSkylar, who's Skylar? I'm uhh, Tylar, yeah, Tylar the totally normal human!â But the goofy grin on his face betrayed his attempt at a prank.Â
âElena leaned forward âReally? Hmmmmm, you certainly sound like him...are you SURE you're not Skylar?â
â âOh, come on I didn't recognize YOU when you were a jaquin!â
â âHa, well you still gave me a shock!â she replied, getting up from her desk, the paperwork could wait, this was important. âSo, Mateo made you a human potion?â
âHe nodded âYeah, I thought that if you could have such a great time being a Jaquin, then it's only fair that I try out being a human to see how fun it was. Come on, you can show me how to do human things!â
â âSure, I have some spare time, what kind of âhuman things' do you want to do?â
â âWell, Iâve never gone shopping before, and if we go then I can get stuff for even more human activities! I saw some really cool looking musical instruments being sold at the market. If I got one for my own, then you could teach me how to play it!â
âElena clapped âSounds like a plan!â They both walked out of the room and down the hall together. âThe mercado gets pretty busy in the afternoon, so we better get going.â
âHe smiled âThen there's no time to lose, right?â They were at the top of a staircase, but instead of taking the stairs, Skyler climbed over the banister and jumped.
â âSKYLER NO!â Yelled Elena, her fear magic kicking in and pulling him back up before he could hit the ground.
â âWhoops, I forgot humans can't fly.â he said, looking slightly shaken from the realisation.Â
âElena caught her breath, calming her dress back down to red. âYeah, it's a pretty unfortunate part of being a human.â
â âI'll just go down the stairs the way they were meant to be.â He said, climbing onto the railing and using it to slide all the way down. Then he waved at Elena from the bottom. She shrugged and took the railing slide as well.
âA while later, Elena and Skylar were walking down the busy street, carrying over a dozen shopping bags between them. With Elena paying for the two of them, they had both gone a little bit overboard with their spending but they were having such a good time, they didn't even notice.
âSkylar pointed at the one building they hadn't visited yet. âLetâs go there!â
ââAre you sure? Thatâs Doña Palomaâs emporium, shopping there might be pretty intense compared to everywhere else we've been.â
ââBut we're royalty, so that'll probably make things easier, right?â
ââPossibly?â She said with doubt in her voice, but Skylar was already running through the door.
â When Doña Paloma saw them both enter, she turned away from two of the other customers she had been talking with to give them her full attention. âHello and welcome to my emporium, Queen Elena. And hello to you as well, I don't believe we've met before?â
â Elena gave a wave that was weighed down by her shopping bags. âHola Doña Paloma, this is-â
â âI am a Prince from a distant Kingdom, and Iâve come here to do some shopping!â Said Skylar with a big smile. Elena noticed the touch of mischief in his expression.
â âA Prince!â Her eyes lit up with the light of opportunity. âWell, hello there, your majesty.â She said with a bow âYou have definitely come to the right place, my store carries a grander selection than any other in the kingdom! Here let me take you on the grand tour.â She took him by the arm and led him into her store.
â âÂĄGracias!â said Skylar putting down his bag before walking along beside her.
âElena followed along behind, as she realized this may have been a bad idea.
âAfter what felt like hours Skylar had been shown so many interesting things that Elena had to hold him back from buying the entire store. But in the end he had selected a fair number of things to get, including a harp, an extra large bottle of paprika, and a shovel.
â âAn absolutely wonderful selection, your majesty. Thank you so much for choosing to shop at my emporium.â Exclaimed Doña Paloma, personally ringing up the goods at the till.
â âYou're welcome, your store is really cool! Adios!â replied Skylar once he loaded the final bag into the waggon he had also just bought and began to walk towards the door.
â âHaha, wait a minute, Your Majesty, you have forgotten to pay for those.â She reminded him with a very forced smile.
â He stopped âOh, well I don't have any money.â
â âYou don't have any money!?â She looked shocked, but she quickly regained her composure. âAh, so I see, His Majesty doesn't carry around any money, that is wise, you wouldn't want to get robbed. So, I assume you have a line of credit you could use?â
â âWhat's credit?â
â âYouâŠyou don't know what credit is?â
â âDonât worry, Iâll pay for the stuff.â said Elena,
âBut she ignored her âHow do you not have any money or know what credit is?â
ââWell, back in my kingdom we don't need to buy anything, so it's not necessary to have any money. Honestly, I'm not even sure I understand what money is. Why is it considered valuable in the first place?â
â âYou don't know what money is!? I canât believe it; no, I refuse to believe it!â She looked personally insulted.Â
â âHere Doña Paloma, this is all the money for the stuff, weâre sorry if we offended you.â She put the money on the counter âOkay, Skylar, let's go.â
â âWait a minute, Skylar! You are that jaquin prince, aren't you? You have a lot of nerve to pull a stunt like this after what you did four months ago!â
â âWhat do you mean?â he asked.
âShe scowled at him âReally? You don't remember how you knocked over my entire display I had in front of the store. Then you said you had to leave on âroyal businessâ before you could help clean it all up?â
â âOh yeah.â He looked at her sheepishly âWell, in my defence I was trying to get home fast, my dad gets really grumpy when Iâm late.â
â âHmph, well, since you don't have those wings to knock things down anymore, how about you make it up to me now. I need the tops of the shelves dusted.â
âElena stepped between the two of them, âLook, Doña Paloma, I can pay you back for any of the damages he caused.â
â âNo, itâs okay,â Skylar insisted âI want to do this, itâs the responsible thing to do and I've never dusted a shelf before, could be fun!â
â âGood, you can start with that one.â Said Paloma, pointing to the nearest shelf with her fan.
âHe walked confidently towards it, then turned back with a confused look âSo, do I just put dust on the shelves? There's plenty of dust outside I could get, the Mercado has some really good dust.â
âPaloma smiled smugly âNo, that's not quite how you do it, but I'm sure Queen Elena would be able to show you how.â
âSkyler looked at her hopefully and Elena sighed, they were probably going to be here for a while.Â
