A/N - IDK ABOUT YALL BUT ITS COLD AS BALLS OUTSIDE MY GOSH. every winter i’m appalled at the temperature drops in the morning, the only good thing this year is that i got inspired. i actually dont use Sana’s name btw so if you wanna imagine someone else, you’re free to do so it’s none of my business, ENJOY

Getting woken up by the mattress bouncing a couple times underneath you wasn’t something you expected the night before.

Confusion levels were high, and the sheets ruffling together behind you weren’t any help. You had to open your eyes and look over your shoulder to find answers.

You still didn’t really know what to expect, but seeing your girlfriend shivering as she adjusted the blanket around her own body nearly got it off yours.

“What are you doing?” You mumbled still half asleep.

“It’s so cold.” She complained as she continued to wrap her body in whatever way she could. “Like, actually freezing it’s insane.”

You chuckled, rubbing your eyes before turning on your back. “Did you turn the heater on?”

“No, do you want me to die?”

You rolled your eyes at her drama and began to sit up in order to do it yourself. Sure, there was a possibility she wasn’t exaggerating, but that’s one more reason to do it. The love of your life will not freeze to death on your watch.

“Where are you going?” She asked with her head peeking out of the covers.

“Going to turn the heater on.” You answered, throwing the covers off yourself before leaving a kiss on her forehead.

“Okay, well hurry. I don’t want to go retrieve your frozen body in the hallway… I’m not in the mood.”

You only laughed, promising her that it would only take a couple minutes—and it did take a couple minutes, but that was two minutes too long.

She was not exaggerating at all, even the wooden floors beneath your feet felt cold to the touch. You ended up having to sprint back to your bed the way she had done a moment ago.

The sight seemed to amuse her according to the giggles that left her lips and bounced off your bedroom walls. You couldn’t ignore them, nor how they warmed you up on their own on this cold morning.

The way she opened her arms up to invite you into her blanket cocoon made you sway. You gladly jumped into it with the biggest smile, letting her coddle you as you focused on actually warming yourself up.

“Don’t laugh, that was you five minutes ago.” You said, snuggling into her side.

“So what? You should have laughed then too.” She shrugged.

You ignored her words as an idea popped in your mind. It was a little mean, and you felt a little bad about it, but the eventual reward of hearing her laugh was enough to make you proceed.

So instead of answering her, you snuck your cold hand beneath her shirt. Your fingers only grazed her skin, but it was enough to make her shriek at the temperature shock.

“Y/n!” She whined, slapping your hand away as the annoyance in her voice turned into the melodious giggles you loved so much.

“What? You can do the same.”

“It’s not fair, my hands are warm now.”

“And I need to warm up. Sounds ideal to me.” You shrugged innocently. “Although, I would like it either way…”

“This behavior will only get you on the naughty list.” She warned, reminding you of how close the year-end festivities were.

“I wouldn’t mind not getting presents.” You shrugged again before adding, “That means you’re all I need by the way.”

“Am I weak or was that good?” She wondered, making you laugh.

“That was easily my worst work, I’m sorry baby, but you’re weak.”

“Your worst work, huh?” She repeated, and you nodded. “Well your fingers have been doing a great job…”

She finally acknowledged the random shapes you gently caressed all over her side, and your heart started racing as the near future she let on allowed various ideas to bloom in your mind.

“Maybe I’ll give you a chance to redeem yourself.” She whispered, making the moment that much more intimate.

You only smiled at her suggestion. As much as the ideas were enough for your blood to rise in temperature, it was just too damn cold.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t right now. There’s no way I’m getting out of this blanket.”

“You tease. Who said you’d have to get out of it?” She pointed out, leaving soft kisses along your jawline only for you to try and get away from them.

“Come on, Y/n, can you think of a better way to warm up?”

“Yes, by cuddling you like this and going back to sleep so I can ignore it” You argued, nuzzling your face further into her neck, where she couldn’t access any of your weaknesses.

You felt her breathe in before letting it out in a heavy sigh. “You’re lucky I like you.”

i (x21) am visiting family in shanghai rn, i have never prior been here, and i am actively learning about the work situations in this city

my problem: i’m baking right now. macaroons to be specific, and we didn’t have any powdered sugar left so we ordered some online. the package should have arrived over 20 minutes ago, we already called and he said that sugar is not important, so he was doing other stuff first, my brothers gf told him to get here asap (he still ist here btw), and i suggested that we report him to his employer.

yeah? he might? but he isn’t doing his job? everyone would get fired for that he’s not special?

So a bit of context: this is actually inspired by a video shared by a friend, where a man pulled away his cat from a fight, as if the cat is his child. Lecturing the feline even as he pulled him back to his house, and yet the kitty is still eyeing the other cat in the street. This video was so funny that I have to make it an inspirational idea to add in the poll, and it won. Now Starburst, my Luxio-sona, has another bit of a backstory.

Stacey, Scott, and Lawrence inherit this big house from a distant great aunt they have never met after she passed of old age. Scott is in debt so he cant take the house like he was supposed to, and Lawrence wants nothing to do with it, so Stacey gets it instead.

It’s perfect though cause her and Neil, who is also her husband now here, were planning to move houses anyways and were struggling to find a good place. Also since the house is super big, they thought about opening a hotel at one point once the house is all fixed up.

What they don't know is that the house is haunted. the ghosts in question are:

Knives Chau: A teenage girl from the 1950s who was a fan of rock n' roll that got pushed down the stairs by a jealous classmate (not Tamara btw that was her gf) at a party

Julie Powers (IDK her married last name yet): An Edwardian women who got pushed out the window by her husband (who is Joseph in this AU btw)

Stephen Stills: A folk singer from the mid 60s who dies in a fire (people confused him with the other Stephen Stills all the time)

Gideon Graves: A music producer from the late 60s early 70s who was poisoned by a rival producer

Lucas Lee: A Victorian lumber guy who was crushed by a wooden beam during the construction of the houses renovation

Todd Ingram: A 90s Rockstar who died while having sex with his bands drummer (which like in the comic, was also cheating on his girlfriend and it is still Lynette and Envy)

Lisa Miller: A somewhat famous 1930s actress who died while filming a scene

Matthew Patel: An early 19th century poet who died in a duel that was orchestrated by a good friend of his

Roxie Richter(she has no last name in this au btw, putting it here cause I put everyone elses last names here): A Viking who was struck by lighting

Ken and Kyle Katayanagi : Inventors/mechanics from the late 19th century who died in a car explosion along with their dog (who is a dog version of robot 0-1 btw). They live in the carriage house as its far more peaceful than the main house

The ghosts overhear the hotel idea when Stacey and Neil are talking about it and they are not too pleased with it. So they try to haunt them so they'll leave, but ultimately fail.

Then either Gideon or Todd, come across Stacey leaning out the window and decide to push her in an another attempt to get them to leave which in turn, almost kills her. Because of this, now Stacey can see ghosts and forms a close friendship with them. Neil, like Mike and I assume Jay in bbc and cbs ghosts respectively, will have a collage of what they all look like since he cannot see them.

So yeah that's my idea so far! I’m still tweaking things but I’m happy with this rn. I’ll definitely make art for it at some point (and if people want it, an ask blog). Feel free to also suggest some ideas for this au if you have any :]

world cup happened this past summer (2023), btw. to give you an idea of timing.

while you, anon, presumably know how the world cup works, ill give a mini explainer for anyone lost: there's the group stage, where the teams get divided into groups (in this case, of four), and your team plays every other team in the group. you get three points for winning a game, one for a draw, and none for a loss. those points add up and top two teams move on. and then you go into the knockout stage, where you have to win to advance, and if you keep winning you make it to the final yay!!

but for this we only care about the group stage. and more specifically, about group B.

group B is made up of nigeria, canada, australia, and (drumroll please) ireland!!! it is the stuff reality tv shows WISH they could make happen.

ireland and australia play. it is (almost*) the very first game of the tournament (but it's still on july 20th). it is at 5am my time. you would not believe the timezone fuckery i went through that month.

Okay one last long post for the night. Since my pixel day art has been getting a lot of attention here lately (how this thing is still getting notes after all this time is beyond me lmao but hey that piece just goes hard), I figured "hey what if I made an AU of Deltarune but it's just popular Newgrounds characters?" so here we are :D

Presenting NGRune (name not final!)! Now not all of these roles and the story are final (this post is basically just me brainstorming ideas for the AU if I decide to go forward with this AU) so just keep that in mind.

The story: Salad Fingers (Susie in this AU) accidentally provokes Pico (Kris in this AU) after walking into school grounds and then Pico tries to take him out in a storage closet, only to stumble into a dark world and meet Hank (Ralsei in this AU), who took the dark world he ended up in away from its original rulers (who wanted him dead because they feared him) and now basically just owns the joint I guess. Hank then tells Pico and SF that while going through the former rulers' stuff in the castle while searching for stronger weapons he found out about the legend of the NGRune *cue The Legend* and how three heroes are ment to banish the Angel's Heaven and junk. Now, instead of encouraging Pico to spare enemies, Hank tells him to shoot up everything in sight, to which SF refuses (in the dark world SF is a bit more aware of his actions and others) and wants to spare enemies instead. And thus, the story begins. Each world is inspired by popular Newgrounds stuff (and I might add in some stuff from Newgrounds creators I like idk) btw.

my friend(they/them) just started a LDR with their gf(she/her). they met ~3 weeks ago. they've met irl once for a weekend, after that they have been talking about moving out to her pretty much ASAP.

last week we were planning to hang out one day and I woke up to texts from them saying they were cancelling our plans bc they had started driving across the country to their gf at 3am to meet her kids because she expressed not wanting more kids (despite my friend having stated from the beginning of the relationship that they want to carry a child of their own and this is important to them, which she'd previously been enthusiastic about) this made me feel a bit abandoned (my problem ik) but also seems like a really bad idea and if anything a reason to hold off on meeting the kids because of a new found incompatibility. I haven't really heard from them all week. it sounds like they'll probably be back in town mostly to get their stuff before moving.
