we got bacl from grammie's wake. it was surprisingly pleasant despite how sad we were
#i gotta hand it to the funeral home--she really looked like she was asleep#mickey.txt#despite well. the occasion#it was a surprisingly pleasant get together#a lot of her old coworkers from when she worked at the supermarket were there#and i got to see my stepcousins i haven't seen since before covid#and it took my niece about an hour to get fidgety and antsy#which is an impressive for an 8 year old tbh#it was funny after awhile whenever the mood got really low my mom was like 'okay kid--do a cartwheel'#because my niece LOVES cartwheels and there was so much space for cartwheels#it was fun lol#just what grammie loved honestly; everyone sitting and shooting the shit#and the grandbaby/ies being cute#ngl everytime my niece did a cartwheel or jiggled the fidget toy i lent her#i had an instinctual gut reaction of 'SHH NOOO YOU'RE GONNA WAKE UP GRAMMIE'#i miss her already. i never got to bond with her the way i would've liked to#but she was a lovely grandma. the type that always fussed over everyone#'did you want anything sweetie?' 'jen you want help in the kitchen?' 'want me to do anything?' type of grandma lol#she was a worry wort but very sweet. growing up she always sewed us coats and dresses and blankets#she taught me how to knit; like 80% of my knitting stuff used to be hers#she gave me a whole carpet bag of knitting gear and yarn when i was like 14/15#she taught me card tricks when i was kid. she used loved brushing my hair but she used#her old lady metal brush that hurt lol#she used to take us to the library#and she used to take us to the movies a lot as kids but she'd take us to a convenience store first to buy our candy#and as kids we thought that was the coolest most badass thing in the world#growing up we used to spend a weekend at her house once every few months#and on sundays she'd take us to her mom's apartment to organize her pills and stuff#idk. im glad she was in my life but i miss her already. at least now she's with her mom and brother 💕

pt got canceled today bc of technical issues, so i spent the day deep cleaning. let me just say i did SO much that i haven't had the energy or motivation to do in MONTHS. i am so fucking proud of myself ahhhh
#tbh the only reasons im scrambling to clean rn are 1) the fact that we're moving in march and#2) a moving company is coming on thursday to give us an estimate. and i dont want the house to be dirty#HOWEVER a w is a w in my book!!#today i vacuumed and mopped the laminate. SCRUBBED the wall and floorboards where lucky eats#bc she flings food around and splatters watter IDK WHY. but food was stuck to the wall and stuff#that hasnt been done in probably 8-10 months#decluttered my side of the bedroom and deep cleaned the carpet#last year during the hurricanes our master bedroom window leaked brown water EVERYWHERE#and the blinds got splattered and stained. we never cleaned them bc we were waiting on maintenance#to fix the window. they never did lol. so now i FINALLY cleaned them and theyre white again!!!#plus other little things i thought of while moving around!!!#i feel fucking amazing and SO much less stressed out bc my house is CLEAN#u get used to the mess/clutter after a while and dont realize how much it stresses u out#but now i must have thrown out at least 4 bags of garbage or clutter that we dont need#AND packed a full box of stuff for the move#its been so fucking satisfying and helpful too w my depression. bc i actually feel productive#anyway i love cleaning i love having a clean house#and im glad im finally getting some energy back post surgery & chemo#chatter

had a little fall earlier while carrying my heavy as fuck mtg bag with my whole collection in it down the stairs and I accidentally swung the bag forward which made me literally hop over two whole stairs at the bottom, launching me forward and stumbling into the living room, and landing my on my left ankle at an awkward angle that initially hurt a bit, but it’s been like six hours and it’s hurting WAY more now. if I put too much weight on it it twinges real sharply and just walking in general causes a pretty bad twinge. even while resting it has little twinges. and it’s probably gonna hurt way more once my Advil wears off and it’s not bruised but it’s a little bit tender and very slightly red. i definitely didn’t break it, but I’m pretty sure I sprained it or twisted it or something. all i know is that tomorrow morning is gonna be hell with the pain
#pro tip: DONT put 7600 cards in twelve different boxes#and put them all in one giant duffel bag and DEFINITELY don’t take it downstairs when the carpet on ur steps is coming up#also ripped up my left knee pretty bad and had a little blood from the rug burn#bc I basically fell face first onto the living room carpet#I’m lucky I didn’t straight up break it or hurt anything else when I fell#literally I was flailing like a goddamn idiot
