I absolutely love splatterpunk, I'm a published splatterpunk author myself lol. AB just ain't it though. There are wayyyyy better splatterpunk books out there, that are much better in every aspect. AB is mainstream splatterpunk, I honestly suggest you go digging and get into much more underground books.

another splatterpunk novel that people on tumblr seem to have some...interesting takes on.

to the people saying it was too much, too gory, too graphic, etc., i beg you to do more research on books before picking them up. there is LITERALLY a warning at the beginning of this book. complaining about the gore and dead-dove-esque content of a splatterpunk novel is like complaining that there are cows at a cow farm.

to the people calling the metaphors and descriptions shit, to each their own, but consider some of the wording and descriptions were written to be somewhat satirical, and even ridiculous.

and to everyone calling this meaningless gore, did we read the same novel? because imo playground is a very good example of a splatterpunk novel that also puts work into fleshing out characters, motivations, emotion, etc. it very clearly wasn't meaningless gore. think critically.

i've read two splatterpunk/extreme horror novels in the past week and i've come to the conclusion that tumblr just doesn't like splatterpunk as a concept

・He talks and moves in his sleep (and punches sometimes). Julius has been punched at least once before.

・Sometimes when he's reading instead of paying attention to Jules, Julius will throw a book at him to get his attention. That or he gets bit.

・Despite the fact the Julius doesn't really like going out Killian will take him out at least once a week. He really likes showing him off and spoiling him.

・He's a switch but will never admit it.

・Sometimes he'll have father and son days where he takes Cian out. They're usually really awkward but Killian's trying his best.

・He's color blind and only see mostly reds which is why it's his favorite color.

・He talks and treats his weapons (mercy and bethany) like people. (He does this in the mwtsn if I'm not wrong). Sera calls him out on it and thinks it's rlly weird.

・He acts all big and mighty infront of everyone else but he's a huge softy for Jules. He'd do anything for that man.

・If you mention his interests around him he'll start yapping for hours at a time.

・He keeps a journal where he draws and writes. Kinda like Arthur's journal in RDR2

I really wanna know what Cian thinks of the fact that Killian just keeps accidentally having tons of kids lmao😭😭😭

Well, accidentally isn't exactly the right word xD Killian just doesn't care and doesn't stick around either.

Cian has plenty of children of his own lol. He generally likes kids and is actually good with them. I wouldn't really say he holds any option on Killian having a lot of kids, the way Cian sees it: it's just part of how Killian is. Though Cian definitely is quite smug about the fact that he's Killian's only child that Killian has in his life. It makes him feel special. To his dismay, Killian is rather distant emotionally and puts Cian down a lot.

Killian does love and care about Cian, in fact he is actually very proud of him, but Killian doesn't ever say it or let it show. Thus, Cian is fully unaware he already has earned his father's approval and constantly is spiraling trying to earn that.

Cian would definitely be very jealous and upset if Killian were to have any other child of his remotely in his life though. He takes "daddy issues" to an entirely new level, even Julius has given Cian the side eye for it 😂😂😂

We know that Killian draws the line at hurting kids, but where does Julian draw the line?🤨🤨 Or does he even have a line?😭😭☠️☠️

Julius abused his children when he was human verbally and physically (well, really only Octavian and Devlin, given Flynn and Emma were actual babies). However, those are the only children he hurt, but that's really due to the fact he hates children so much and is extremely triggered by their mere presence (due to a very traumatic event that you will have to wait for Hellbound to find out about). Given that, he avoids them at all costs. Teenagers, he finds annoying, though he's not triggered by them but he still tends to just avoid them. However if they get in his face or make the error to enter his shop...he won't take mercy. Plus, when it comes to his shop, his deal (binding contract) with the Devil includes he must kill anyone who enters his shop.

As far as Julius commiting SA on a child, no, he would not. He has absolutely no attraction to minors and due to not even wanting to be around kids in the first place, yeah, that's just not something that he would do. It's not the type of moral line Killian has, but Julius is still icked out by it. So, uh, rare W for Julius...? 💀😭

Omg help because I literally remember saying to one of my co creators a week or two ago that Julius/Jules watched AP and thinks Patrick is so over the the top😭😭 Julius is like "skin routine? With no radioactivity?! How boring!" 😭😭 But in all seriousness, yeah, Julius would see it as very over the top and probably call Patrick a "flaming homo" in a semi affection way 😭 (Julius is gay in canon)

I'm really glad you enjoyed MWTSN! I'm definitely going to do a lot better with my next book, at least typing wise- for I fear TDMFH has a very easily lost message along all the fuckery and corpse stuff that goes on (however I think it's absolutely worth a read if you enjoy splatterpunk - coming 2024!)
