The MPs in the UK passed a bill that will allow doctors to kill their patients. Maybe this is their solution to the rampant immoral immigration they can’t make themselves stop? Who knows. In any case, there is some to-ing and fro-ing left in the legalities before the bill becomes an official law, but all expect that it will.

Doctors in the UK have grown squeamish, coincidentally, I’m sure, at the same rate the profession becomes female. So this bill says doctors will only give Death Pills to patients, and have the patients swallow them on their own, albeit under supervision of Dying Experts. This is contrasted with the manly way of just bashing patients over the head, or slitting their throats.

At this early date, we won’t see, like in the Netherlands and Canada, doctors sneaking into patient rooms in the dark of the night and slipping them the needle. At first, anyway. Doubtless the Slippery Slope is being greased even as you read this.

They won’t slather on too much, though. Because consider: if you kill patients as they walk in the door, what you gain in dying efficiency and bed space you lose in the amount you can bill insurance companies. There has to be a balance of killing and care that maximizes revenue.

The UK Bill says doctors can’t kill just any old patient. Or any young patient, come to that. Doctors first have to pronounce the patients have only six months to live. Now I have read countless stories of doctors insisting patients are “brain dead”, right before the patients come back to “brain life”. Meaning the prognosticative ability of doctors is right up there with their ability to make moral arguments. Look for lots of “six months left” diagnoses to be charted.

Surely some pharmaceutical has tasked its marketing department to develop a clever, happy name for its Dying pills. Easy Off? No, that’s an oven cleaner. Could be the same ingredients, though. She's Not a Jinx

Note: We continue to follow Jinx as she develops a relationship with Isha. Little time skip Jinx goes back to the scouts and begins to make her butterfly bombs prototype. Levi now knowing a little of her past begins to be a little soft for her. I plan to make Jinx 5'1 in this fic btw.

Something so simple can change your whole life. Thats what Jinx found in Isha. After following Jinx around awhile just watching and admiring, Jinx finally took her in. She couldn't help but see Powder in her. They spent so much time just goofing around and being kids again. Something Jinx was forced out of at such a young age. "You know you're lucky I never got to do any of this with my older sister. I had a different name back then... Powder. Stupid right. You ... kind of remind me of her." She took a grenade out of Isha's hands disarming it. Isha didn't speak but that was good for Jinx, someone that wouldn't scream at her in her mind.

It was time for Jinx to go back to the surface. It's been 2 months of hiding and killing. It was finally safe; at least for now. She sent her message to the MPs and nobles. Don't Fuck with a Jinx. Her time in the underground was needed to forgive herself for her past. It helped to have someone to care about again. Jinx grabbed her stuff and made her way home back to the person that cared most about her. She snuck into Erwins office waiting for him to return Isha on her lap.

She couldn't hold in her excitement when she heard soft footsteps outside the door. A tall figure opening the door followed by another tall man. 'Sniff' "It smells like...." "Erwin!!!!" Jinx jumped up moving fast towards the blonde. Taking him in her arms, she could feel him relax at her touch. "Jinx who is this?" He asks looking down at the child hugging them both. "Oh that's my new best friend!" She pulls away giving Miche a hug now. "I knew I smelled axel grease. Welcome home Jinx!" Being so small compared to him she had to stand on her tippy toes. "So whats your name?" Erwin asks the young girl. She tries to sign to him but he doesn't understand. Jinx put her hand on her head "It's Isha, Doesn't she remind you of me." He gave a slight nod. "Where is that journal I gave you?" She asks looking around the room. "Levi has it. He should be in his office." Jinx gave him another hug and took off with Isha by her side.

"Come in." Jinx took Isha hand and walked into the captains office. "Business?" He didn't even look up from his paperwork to see the woman he couldn't get off his mind for months. "It's me! Hi Captain!" His eyes shot up to see Jinx standing there. No words came out. "Erwin said you have my journal?" He nods his head still looking at her not wanting to look away again. "Um can I have it?" He shook his head trying to focus. "Right. Here... Who is that?" Isha was now looking around his office having never seen anything like this before. It was so clean and didn't smell like death around every corner. He knew who the kid was from watching her in the underground for a few days. "Thats Isha but you already know that don't you captain?" She took the journal off his desk and gave him a little wink before walking out.

"What would you like to see first?" Jinx asks Isha showing her around the grounds. Levi made his way to Erwins office. Did he tell her? Did she just know? "Looks like you were right. She came back." Erwins looked down at him with a smile on his face. "Indeed. She showed up in my office this morning." Miche stepped forward "I could smell her from miles away, She has a very specific smell." Levi knew that; he thought about that scent since she left. "Did you tell her that I went down there?" His eyes shot daggers towards Miche knowing he and Jinx have been close. "No I would never tell her I sent you. Id probably get my ass beat if I did." The tall mean both chuckle a little at that thought. "tch" He crossed his arms in-front of his chest deep in thought now. "Speaking of if you could Id like if you can both keep an eye on her for a while." "Tch. She is fine without us." Levi made his way out of the office and back to his. He could see her through the window in his office; she was playing with Isha on the grounds seemingly back to the Jinx everyone knew. Smiling, laughing and talking with such intensity about the things she loves.

Jinx set up an area for Isha in her now cleaned up warehouse. While she slept Jinx worked all night on a new prototype that might make a huge difference for the next expedition. She designed them to look like butterflies cause why not it's so cute. The sun was coming up and Isha noticed Jinx sleeping at her desk her face resting in a little paint. This got a giggle out of Isha who was now trying to wake her up.

I'm sharing a bit of the next chapter of my AoT fanfic today, because that fic lives in my brain 24/7 now

While Erwin and Levi do feature in this chapter, I wanted to share a snippet of character and world development that's included (and unedited because I have zero capacity to do that today) as Lozen returns home from her murder trial for the first time since the MPs arrested her.

The noise of water running was muffled, but Auntie Rita's voice rang clear like a beacon, keeping Lozen from slipping further and further into her mind. "You are Lozen Daniella Pierce- born to Chief Emmanuel Daniel Pierce and Elizabeth Marie Locken. You are my only niece," Rita recited the facts, a tether to the shore of the present, as she helped Lozen remove the scratchy prison clothes. "You come from a long line of strong men and women- fighters and healers, fire keepers and story tellers." Old bandages were peeled away from grimy skin still caked in dirt, falling as dirty puddles on the pristine marble floor. "You are a relative of the first Circle of this land, given to our ancestors as a gift for assisting in the Titan war, where both our people and theirs fought side by side nearly to the brink of extinction and nonetheless persisted." Lozen let Rita support her weight as she put one foot into hot water, the temperature numb but radiating with each word from Rita. The next foot followed and Lozen soon watched her own body lower itself into the soapy water, feeling as though she was merely observing a scene over which she had no control over or feeling. "And while we may not be royalty, we are survivors- stubborn, resilient, fierce." Slowly, warmth broke through the fog of Lozen's mind, shifting to heat as the scent of lemongrass and mint flooded her senses. "We have been, we are, and we will continue to be keepers of our legacy, stewards of the land, and protectors of our culture." Gently, Rita helped her lean back into the water, a stabilizing hand to help pull Lozen back to the surface, lending stability where there was none. Nimble fingers massaged her scalp, firm and dexterous from decades of beading intricate designs onto hides and working the land, working out the dirt, dried blood, and grease that clung on to the roots. And as its grip washed away, Lozen came back into her body.

In ARR, you automatically kick in your auto attacks, but they don't actually do more damage, they are just for show.

Oh, Shoulder Tackle, you will be missed. Removed in EW and replaced with Thunderclap, which is a gap closer but does no damage. This is also a FFXI weaponskill.

Fists of Wind! Our final fist stance. Removed in EW, replaced with Riddle of Wind, which increases your auto attack speed.

Still in Modern XIV, although a lot less exciting.

Lvl 8 Enhanced Physical Attack: Increases attack power by 8 Lvl 12 Enhanced Evasion: Increases physical evasion by 8. Lvl 16Enhanced Physical Accuracy: Increases physical accuracy by 8. Lvl 20 Enhanced Second Wind: Increases HP restoration of Second Wind by 25%. Lvl 24 Enhanced Blindside: Adds a physical attack bonus to Blindside based on INT The fact this is based on INT is an interesting choice.

Lvl 28 Enhanced Featherfoot: Increases MP restored by Featherfoot by 25%. Lvl 32 Enhanced Physical Crit Damage: Increases physical critical attack power by 10 Lvl 36 Enhanced Fists of Earth: Increases physical defense bonus of Fists of Earth by 5%. Lvl 40 Enhanced Physical Attack II: Increases attack power by 10 Lvl 44 Enhanced Fists of Fire: Increased attack power bonus of Fists of Fire by 5%. Lvl 48 Swift Taunt: Reduces Taunt recast time by 15 seconds.

Taunt itself is an interesting choice.
