I joked to a friend of mine that Rainbow meeting Pinkie was a scenario in which "instead of a shy pegasus that struggled to fly, Rainbow encountered the unmedicated undiagnosed adhd kid in her class" and I don't think I've ever been more correct in my entire life.

Gang,.,… gang I’m thinking. I’m thinking of making gen 5 semi/full on canon in the Oops ALL Alicorns AU..,,,.,, things tie in together so well I MUST MAKE IT CANON

The idea that twilight took/locked away all magic translated to my au would mean she would need to fistfight the GOD OF MAGIC. HAVE YOU SEEN THEM? SHES GONNA NEED TO AT LEAST CONTROL THE THING.

- The reason the dragons looks so plain and similar is because the lack of gem diet. Gemstones are vital to dragon health, without them they arnt as strong or healthy. The magic makes them change physically aswell so without it they’re all just blank slates waiting for a magical push to start growing spiked tail balls or whatver!!

- The reason why earth ponies have such stronger magic and why unicorns seems to be able to cast any spell is due to the tribes magic l being separated completely equally! As stated before, Pegasi are technically the most magical, so when it was split up the amount of magic was even out. Pegasi now lack the ability to control the weather, that magic potential was split between the other tribes

- the lack of a crystal empire is due to The First Alicorn DESTORYING IT when he surfaced in the fight. The auroricorns town is what is left of the crystal pony tribe and the crystal empire itself

- the reason why Sunny Starscout isn’t a true alicorn is due to there not being enough magic left to fully transform her after Twilight erased everything! Opaline is the last alicorn, the last true alicorn to exist before the magic was erased, so she would’ve had to exist in gen 4. Most likely she was Twilights pupil, Luster Dawn!! Girl got nightmare moonified, she got pony of shadowsified,..,

- the together trees are lesser Trees or Harmony!!! (It is canon that there are multiple, seen in the season 10 comics (which have been said to be canon!!)) Trees of harmony require MASSIVE amounts of magic to become what they are, that’s why theyre crystallized, the crystals are formed from pure magic. But in a situation when there isn’t enough magic to grow, it becomes a together tree. Still magical and special in their own right, connected through harmony and friendship, but not what it could’ve been. In the future there isn’t enough magic available to create trees of harmony, so shits fucked

Equestria has long endured tensions with the umbrum, and though violence has largely been avoided, the situation has become untenable. In a bid for peace, King Eclipse (Gerald Robotnik) proposes something to the ruler of the umbrum, King Comet (Black Doom). They will use magic to create a half-pony half-umbrum child- their own spawn- who will serve as the liaison between their peoples and represent the hope for lasting unity between their kingdoms. King Comet agrees to this, and Prince Midnight Star is born.

The two rulers spend much time together raising their son and improving their kingdoms' relations. King Comet even begins wearing jewelry bearing the symbols of the Equestrian royal family (the eclipse, stars, moons). All seems to be going well, and an era of peace seems to at last have been heralded across the land. But it wasn't to last.

Soon after the true extent of Midnight Star's magical prowess makes itself known, the palace suddenly finds itself under siege from the umbrum army. King Comet wishes to take his son and use him as a weapon to conquer all of the world, all strides towards peace and harmony eschewed in favor of greed and lust for power. In the struggle to protect the prince, many are killed, with the final casualty being Princess Fragile Dawn. Face to face with the king of the umbrum, the young princess refused to back down, standing bodily between father and son and protecting her brother with all her might.

It wasn't enough.

The moment her body fell to the ground, a piercing cry filled the stagnant air, and a burst of magic so strong and bright it was seen across Equestria consumed the entire castle. Once the light faded and the dust settled, each and every umbrum within the palace was dead, including their king. When the guard and King Eclipse entered the throne room, they found the prince laying protectively over his sister's body, his horn shattered, his face wet with tears, and his head resting on her silent chest.

A long time ago, in the far away land of equestria, two siblings ruled the land.

The elder used her magic to raise and lower the sun and moon. The younger one helped move the stars to bring forth the dawn and dusk. They brought peace throughout the land.

But jealousy grew in the heart of the younger thinking that he deserves to be able to raise and lower a Celestial body like his sister. One fateful day he decided that he would not move the stars along the sky to make way for the dawn. The elder tried and tried to reason with him, but it was too late.

The bitterness in the younger's heart had fallen to a curse that turned him into a bird-like beast named the dark moon Phoenix. He vowed to never bring light back to this land for all of eternity. The sister was left with no choice but to gather the most powerful artifacts in the land, the elements of harmony.

Using the magic of the six elements she banished the beast that was her brother into a dying star far far away. The elder took on responsibility for both sun, moon and stars and peace was brought to the land once more, and has been for generations since.

But the effects were not permanent. On the five hundredth year, the star shall die and he shall be freed

I was walking in one of the hallways of the castle.

The glass windows looked more butefful in the night then in the day, I must admit.

I stopped in front of one where Queen Twilight Sparkle and her friends are shown after their victory. Just like me and my new friends now.

"hehehe..."

I heard some laughter from somewhere near me.

"Hello? Who is there?" I asked while getting ready to defend myself.

"Oh, dear Princess, is that anyway to treat you're guest?" a mare appeared out of nowhere in front of me.

"Screwball?! "

"One and only!" she snaps her fingers.

"*sigh* What are you doing here?" I demand and light up my horn.

"Oh, you look scared? Don't be. I'm not going to kill you."

"Well I'm sorry, but how could i not be. You're a thief. How am I supposed to know you don't decide kill me?"

"Now, Luster Dawn. Listen here. I may be a thief and a 'crazy monster' as you ponies call me, and I just escaped prison again... I don't kill!"

"Then why are you here?"

She smiled a big grin. It was scary how she could stretch her smile.

"Why, I'm here to help you're brother."

"My brother?"

"You got it Doll. Has he told you he cant have any children? "

I frown. I knew that he wanted someone to take care of. A family of his own.

He asked for my help before I left. I told him that magic would be dangerous and that it would be Impossible. I regret not helping him more.

" But why you? "

" I don't know, to be honest. Lets just say before I got taken to jail again, when we met, he started talking and talking. But when he told me about his problem... Well I ussaly don’t care, but he be looking adorably hot."

" don't you dare - "

" Relax! I'm not going to do anything bad to him. Lets make a deal... "

" A deal? What kind of?"

" I help him get a kid for him using our DNA. "

" Our DNA? "

" Ofcurse! Even with magic, its too dangerous to use his DNA! I thought you knew that. Ha! "

" How about... When you and you're friends don't need them, I'm going to keep them Well... Umm... You know safe. " she said the last word in a bit lower tone.

" Why? Do you want to risk upsetting you're brother? "

I frown and look down.

" No, ofcourse not!.. I just want to keep the world safe... "

" And you will, but right now, you're brother needs you're help more."

"* sigh *alright... How do we do it?"

"Give me you're hair and blood."

"Wait, should we -"

"I'm not sleeping with you! although if you want to -"

"No!"

"Good. This is the way to avoid that awkward stuff."

now im curious. what are your favorite and least favorite g4 episodes, and in a similar vein, your favorite and least favorite g4 characters

i won’t elaborate on all of them because it’s just like. way too much lol there’s so many episodes in characters but LET’S GO

favorite characters: TWILIEEE, I like all of the mane 6 but she’s my girlie, the royal sisters, trixie, maud, sunset, starlight as a villain (she should’ve stayed a bad guy she’s so FUN! a villain who’s power is her words)

least favorite: neighsay, star swirl (the pillars are all just boring as hell honestly), the wonderbolts (seriously? why do they all suck?), “reformed” starlight, maud’s Sheldon cooper boring boyfriend, daring do (i don’t care for the implications of her character), discord (sort of? in canon, because i adore him conceptually and also occasionally. he’s so fun when he’s not awful

not a strong attachment but yona is also really cute, i just think her design is ridiculously adorable and also love her va’s delivery. very funny

For episodes, there’s quite a few but I’ll try and limit myself per season! There’s are ones that I just find the most comfort and enjoyment out of, I like other episodes but these are what really stand out.

Favorite episodes:

season one: ticket master, look before you sleep, winter wrap up, suited for success (a fantastic episode that really made mlp stand out!), and best night ever

season two: return of harmony & canterlot wedding, lesson zero, hearth’s warming eve, hurricane fluttershy,

season three: sleepless in ponyville, wonderbolt academy, magical mystery cure

season four: pinkie pride, it ain’t easy being breezies (ty for a fluttershy episode that breaks away from the usual plot), maud pie, twilight’s kingdom

season five: the cutie map (yay villain starlight!), castle sweet castle, make new friends but keep discord, canterlot boutique, crusaders of the lost mark

season six: a hearth’s warming tale (minus the shaky introduction, the songs are soooo so good), the times they are a changeling, to where and back again (I know I complain about the treatment of Chryssie and those ugly Changeling designs but it’s a solid shakeup from the status quo and sells me more on Starlight as a character)

season seven: parental glideance, discordant harmony, perfect pear, it isn’t the mane thing about you

season eight: horse play, sounds of silence (i just like the kirin’s designs lol)

season nine: she’s all yak, between dark and dawn, the last problem

Least favorite episodes vary between i don’t like this for personal reasons and I don’t like this for obvious reasons:

season one: bridle gossip, over a barrel,

season two: a friend in deed, putting your hood down, dragon quest,

season three: none i really hate? more neutral or positive feeling tbh

season four: three’s a crowd, trade ya

season five: slice of life (it’s just a bit too much, even for a guilty pleasure episode), party pooped, amending fences, brotherhood social, what about discord,

season six: newbie dash (this one is just plain mean), spice up your life (so bad it’s good. rarity is wildly out of character, the main antagonist is a straw man, and so on. kind of in a disbelief at how much this episode doesn’t work lol), stranger than fanfic and honestly every daring do episode, every little thing she does (not selling me on that redemption pony show!)

season seven: flurry of emotions, hard to say anything and really any fucking sugar belle/Big Mac episode, a royal problem (IT SHOULDVE BEEN TWIIILLGFIITHTHR FOAMING AT THE MOUTH THEY TOOK HER FUCKJNG EOISODE), fame and misfortune (“we’re REAL ponies” says the purple horse written by grown adults), once upon a zeppelin (far too mean of an episode for me), shadow play (for the crime of being boring)

season eight: school daze and school raze, fake it til you make it, the break up break down (hate these types of plots), a matter of principals, a rockhoof and a hard place,

season nine: a trivial pursuit, dragon dropped, a horse shoe-in, the ending of the end

MLP FIM Season 1 Reimagined: Episode 1

"Her Faithful Student"

So. With Nightmare Moon being the season finale villain, as she should have been, how does this all begin now? Well, very similarly. We begin on Nightmare Night itself in Canterlot, where a studious young unicorn begins researching the origins of the holiday to comfort her dragon companion…

We open with a scene of Canterlot itself decked out in creepy festivity, and pan to a solitary lit window that zooms in on Spike hiding under Twilight Sparkle's bed. I feel like this is a great opportunity to establish a closer bond between Twilight and Spike as opposed to how they're first depicted in the original first episode. Yes, Twilight's still learning friendship, but we're shown that she had some clue of how familial bonds worked and I didn't like how she was first shown with Spike. Anyway, she promises him that she'll research how Nightmare Night came to be, claiming that once Spike has "the power of knowledge on his side" or something along those lines, he'll be less scared. Cut to theme song.

Next morning in Canterlot. Twilight makes her way to the library at the crack of dawn, a sleepy Spike in tow. We see her smile as soon as she enters the library's doors; as if her bookwormishness isn't going to be obvious, we get to see that the library really is her happy place. She and Spike set off to find any books that mention the origins of holidays, maybe name-dropping a few others in there as well. This can reinforce the idea of friendship being a prominent theme, with Hearth's Warming Eve being briefly described as "a holiday to celebrate friendship" and Hearts and Hooves Day maybe mentioned as well. They also find something on the Summer Sun Celebration, a holiday to celebrate Princess Celestia, summertime and warmth, and all that the sun provides for Equestria. Twilight suddenly notices a footnote at the bottom, mentioning that this celebration is also the anniversary of the defeat of a certain Nightmare Moon, marking the victory of Princess Celestia and the preservation of thousands of days yet to come. She seem surprised at this, and then Spike mentions he's finally found something on Nightmare Night. And there's that name again- Nightmare Moon. It's said she's just an old pony's tale, and the holiday has emerged from hundreds of years of fiction mixing with tradition, but Twilight wonders aloud at this "old pony's tale" possibly being a real past threat that Princess Celestia had to vanquish.

Her curiosity alight, Twilight continues her search to find anything she can on Nightmare Moon, also known as The Mare in the Moon. She eventually finds a brief retelling of the story- but it only mentions Nightmare as "a jealous pony who wished to overthrow the rule of the sun, before Princess Celestia used the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the moon forever." Another footnote mentioning a prophecy on Nightmare's possible return sends Twilight on yet another rabbit hole searching for any record of this prophecy. By this point, Spike is satisfied with these answers and wants to go home, but Twilight insists on staying until she can find something on this prophecy. After a moment of searching (and some grumbling from Spike), she eventually finds the prophecy that states Nightmare Moon is due to return on the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration… which is due to occur in less than one year. Twilight, panicking, grabs Spike and the book and rushes home. Perhaps she nearly runs out of the library forgetting to properly check out the book, and the librarian, familiar with her antics, tells her not to worry about proper checkout as long as she brings the book back in good condition within a few days.

On the way home, Twilight has her encounter with her other friends who ask her if she's coming to Moondancer's birthday party, which she declines, being very much preoccupied. Spike expresses his disappointment that he won't be able to give Moondancer her gift. Twilight is too busy Twilighting in her room, thinking up nightmare scenarios (ha) as a result of the prophecy coming true. Her musings are interrupted by Shining Armor and her parents knocking on her door, concerned that she's upsetting herself for no good reason. Twilight insists that this is in fact a good reason to be panicking and everypony should be preparing themselves for imminent disaster. Her family tries to reassure her, knowing that she gets like this sometimes, but ultimately it seems for the best that they just let her get this one out of her system. After they leave, Spike suggests that she send a message to Princess Celestia if she's really that worried about it, and maybe her mentor can offer her some advice. Twilight lights up, thanking Spike for the idea and setting out to compose a letter… only to find she's still so anxious that her penmanship is a total disaster. Spike just takes the parchment and pen from her and tells her to dictate the letter and that he'll write it. So Twilight and Spike set off sending a letter to the princess, Spike sends it off with his fire breath, and now they wait.

That evening, they receive a letter from the princess informing Twilight that Celestia has an important assignment for her that she wishes to give in person, and they can discuss the prophecy then. Twilight immediately rushes out to meet Celestia, wary of any shadow she sees along the way. (Spike stays behind to have dinner with the rest of the family, who seem concerned at Twilight's demeanor.) Eventually, she reaches the throne room and we get to meet Princess Celestia, who greets Twilight warmly and says they should go for a little stroll together. Twilight follows her, and Celestia tells her not to worry about the prophecy of Nightmare Moon's return. She knows of the prophecy, she knows that it is soon due to possibly occur, and she will have plans in place for if that happens. Twilight doesn't seem fully satisfied with this explanation, wanting to know more about the battle and how that prophecy came to be in the first place. Celestia just says that's to be discussed at a later time. Twilight seems a little hurt that her concerns are being brushed aside for now, but doesn't bring it up again. Celestia then explains that Twilight will be sent to Ponyville for several tasks that she is to take on at the same time.

First, the librarian of Ponyville is retiring, and the town is in need of a book-loving pony to take their place to run the library. Second, Celestia wants Twilight to learn "lessons that I (Celestia) cannot teach you," and she is to spend time basically studying abroad in Ponyville, but instead of learning from a school or "proper" teachers, Celestia tells her to report back periodically with lessons she's learned from observing and interacting with the ponies of Ponyville. Lastly, she says that in the next year, Ponyville will host the next Summer Sun Celebration, and Twilight is to oversee preparations then (although that will still be almost seven months off at this time). And, as a final note, Celestia tells her to try to make some friends while she's there. Twilight doesn't seem too keen on the idea, but doesn't want to disagree with the princess. Throughout this interaction, it's clear that these two are rather close, but still kept at an arm's distance from each other by Twilight's fear of disrespecting royalty.

Cut to Twilight back at home packing to leave for Ponyville, with Shining Armor and her parents hugging her and making her promise to write them often, and Twilight reassuring them that she'll be in touch. They plan to have Spike go with her, and as she catches him up on all the details (including complaining "why is she making friendship such a priority? How is that going to help?") he says that she should give friendship a chance. Twilight still seems to be worrying about Nightmare Moon, though, and as she stares out of her bedroom window contemplating what will come next, the camera angle goes through the window to the clear night sky outside, focusing on the moon… and the mare within… before fading out. Cue ending credits.

You know those g5 concepts of a g4 remake? These ones?

I'm making my own fan continuity using them and the vague ideas that are illustrated through these concepts! Currently I'm calling it Dawn of Harmony (sooo original I know, that name's definitely been used somewhere before) but that could change, I have some ideas for it but it's going to take a LOT of workshoping. Some infodumping of my current concepts below, really just mane 6 info:

Pinkie Pie and Rainbowdash are childhood friends that met in their flight school as foals. Pinkie had a rough start in flying due to her smaller wings and Rainbow decided to coach her a bit, which is how she discovered their shared love for pranking and how much Pinkie could cheer a pony up, thus sparking a lifelong friendship.

Applejack keeps her country flair and still lives/works on a farm, and she's the only non-family friend of the lone Twilight Sparkle, an earth pony with a knack for science and inventing...but less of a knack for making friends. She and Applejack are childhood friends, but Applejack still wishes she could be closer to Twi and that her pal would spend more time with other ponies and less time at home, they used to hang out all the time but Twilight got more "busy" as she got older. Applejack and Rainbowdash are quite competitive with each other, and they often get into spats during AJ's free time.

Fluttershy is very much like her name implies...very shy, but she doesn't flutter because she's a unicorn! She uses her magic to heal animals and fix the environment around her, the woods around her cottage home are said to be the prettiest in all of Ponyville. She's incredibly shy with new ponies and struggles with confrontation, but she's actually quite the social butterfly with those she feels safer and more comfortable around. She's close to Applejack and the farm pony has TRIED to set her up to be friends with Twilight, but Twi seems to always just miss her.

Rarity is the fanciest unicorn in the entirety of Ponyville, a Canterlot born pony who moved to the more rural village in order to find herself and discover inspiration for her career as a fashion star. She even brought her younger sister along with her! Rarity is quite difficult to get along with at first, but those like Fluttershy know that if you can get past her blunt commentary and insistence to measure you to make you a complimentary outfit, you'll find a friend that will do everything she can to be there for you. If you mess with Rarity's friends, you get the horn. She also has a side hobby of gemstone collecting and loves to use the sparkling gems in her fashion as often as she can.

Back in 2015, I made an OC for the world of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Now, I don't know too much about the show's lore and its impact, but if there's one character I owe for getting me into the spirit of the show, it's Pinkie Pie, but that's another story.

Anyways, this is my bio for my OC, Cuddles. For the pictures you see above, I made these in GeneralZoi's "Pony Creator v2" when the game was playable at the time.

One thing I should mention is Cuddles doesn't have a cutie mark, but I am open to suggestions. I remember someone suggested maybe a heart with two moon symbols. I'm also open to suggestions on what Cuddles' Element of Harmony should be. Unlike Twilight's which is a tiara, and the rest of Twilight's friends who wear necklaces, Cuddles' Element of Harmony would be a cloak, with the gem of his Element of Harmony having a clip on the back. When Cuddles wears his Element of Harmony, he has all the powers of an alicorn such as flying without needing wings and performing magic without needing a horn (the magic would come from Cuddles' hooves instead).

Cuddles used to live with his mom until she got lost one night in a storm. When Cuddles went to look for her out of worry, Cuddles wound up lost in the woods and into the home of Equestria. Ever since he came into the world of Ponyville, the Mane 6 all agreed to look after Cuddles and show him that he doesn't need a mom to have a family. Thanks to Twilight, Cuddles would learn what family really means.

PERSONALITY

Cuddles is dumb, but cute and lovable. He loves giving hugs to anyone and anything he comes across. Cuddles can also be a bit clumsy, but what Cuddles lacks in common sense and personal space, he makes up for with his heart.

INSPIRATION

On July 20, 2015 when I visited California, I came up with an idea for a green earth pony as I walked across Muscle Beach. Before that, I spent some time watching "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" on YouTube (like "MLP in Real Life", duets of certain users singing with Pinkie Pie, and other sorts of fanmade content) and seeing pictures of Pinkie Pie.

Unlike my other OCs who are self-insert characters, this was the first OC I made that has his own stories. My plan was to not make Cuddles a self-insert character, as following the release of the 2017 movie, I wanted to introduce Cuddles after the events of the film. In recent years, I found the best way to introduce Cuddles is after the events of "The Ending of the End - Part 2" and "The Last Problem". However, Cuddles would only be introduced before the Mane 6 aged up, as I Cuddles' final appearance to be where before leaving Equestria, Cuddles would make a promise to come back someday, leaving things open-ended enough for your own imagination to work off of. And after the ending of "The Last Problem", Cuddles would come back to be with his friends again, even though I haven't thought that much about a good continuation. It could even be possible for Cuddles to meet Twilight's student, Luster Dawn.

***SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON 9 MIDSEASON FINALE***

Again, apologies for the lateness, I spent the last weekend traveling to @Eliyora and @Acharky's wedding.... it was a ton of fun except for the part where I got sick T3T so after Rainbow Roadtrip, I'll actually be looking forward to a little hiatus from Jasper reacts ^^;

Jasper's ACTUAL Thoughts: So, after sitting around doing barely anything for 9 seasons, the Princesses finally decide to get their acts together and see the world.... and it is plentiful of fun!! We get to see more of them as actual sisters and characters - Celestia's a bubbly adrenaline junkie who wants to live life as much as she can and Luna's an excitable dork who wants to take it easy and loves the post office.... and I love it!! And I really loved the song (And yes, I did notice Capper sneaking around in the background... I kinda feel like it loses the impact when you realize they might not be able to get the movie actors again to reprise their characters), and of course seeing the sisters fight and make up was a treat because it reminds us that they're not just some almighty gods, but also siblings. ...That being said, I didn't really care for the B-Plot with the Mane Six taking over for the Princesses doing the whole "swanifying" thing. Suddenly the rest of them are apprehensive about doing their duties and Miss Twileynanas is all "We got this"? And yeah, I'm with Rainbow Dash on this one.... what was the point of the Swanifying? And of course, the major issue everyone brings up - Fancypants is kind of a snobby jerk in this episode -which was sad cus in Sweet and Elite, we got to see him as the one exception to the whole "aristocrats are jerks" trope Canterlot seems to have... guess hanging with his two country club buddies finally had a negative effect on him. So yeah, I honestly kinda feel like we could've cut the B-Plot out and just have the funny little bit of Twiley trying to raise the sun and the moon at the end (Also, everyone points out how sinister Twilight looks when she says "so THIS is how you rule Equestria" ...maybe Discord's little one-off gag of her on a throne might actually mean something :P.
