I love your AU and the miraculous side effects are fascinating. I’ve been wondering about the rabbit though.

It seems like there could be a few different things. Would the wielder just eat a lot of vegetables, would they start randomly time looping, or experience the events of their lives out of order?

If you’re not going to include the rabbit because of the time travel, though, I completely understand and I really hope that I’m not coming off as annoying.

Alix's side effects are rather different from the rest. She's experiencing life outside of time for the most part, which makes her not only prone to mundane things like combining together fashion and slang from various centuries, but also larger issues like being unable to form meaningful interpersonal relationships!

Her emotions are also affected too—Alix does not feel things, really, as her emotions are more of a natural extension of What Must Be Done. If things go haywire she's angry, if things are as they should be she's mildly content (but never really happy), but nothing beyond that. Especially not grief for the life she could've had if only she wasn't destined to turn out this way.

Her experience of life "out of order" is also a side effect that's more self-imposed than any of her peers', but even still it wasn't as if she truly had a say in the matter. She's just a cog in the machine now, not a person. Not a girl.

(actually I personally have some thoughts on how adrien and alix could parallel each other in terms of gender and how they've been forced into identities they didn't ask for. Le Dauphine and L’héritière. so on so forth)

Also Alix cannot date anybody without it being problematic because she's technically millions of years old even though she was born only 16 years ago.

I know in one of the comics Nino says he hasn’t had any side effects, but I kinda doubt that as true (or at least ones he’s noticed, or maybe just hasn’t happened yet). So what will his side effect be? Will his skin just start to harden? (Nino, you’re the one that chose the name Carapace, buddy.)

Since nino gets sidestepped a lot in the show i took a lot of liberties, everybody say yay for watsonian explanations !!

Nino, being the holder of the protection miraculous, is on the more responsible end of the spectrum, so as it goes his symptoms are more mental than physical.

He's very uncomfortable about the topic, so like marionette he's in deep denial about it.

however, historically, it's common for turtle holders to develop thick green crystal like scabs along the spine.

Does the miraculous exposure stack? Does Marinette have to deal with the effects of the ladybug AND mouse miraculous?

For that to happen, marinette would need to spend equal amounts of time as multimouse as she does as ladybug. We also have to take into account that Marinette is particularly resistant to corruption from miracle exposure but huh...

She's not all there these days.

Is there a cap on miraculous exposure? Like, if luka unified the mouse and snake and spent a million years looping would he just get worse and worse until he dies/shuts down or would he reach 100% exposure and stop there? (Become a snouse?)

No snouse ! You get to go to limbo until what's left of your soul is consumed by the primordial consciousness.

is that THE actual Emilie?? and if so does that mean that a broken miraculous affects the user as in basically augmenting by 100% the weird soul-mixing overdose thing that makes the exposure effect happen here but instead of having to time-loop around like Luka did in that scenario it just happens naturally and a lot faster? does that affect the whole Gabriel's wish? like idk if he could pull a soul completely intact outta the primordial consciousness or at least pull it out and Emilie turning out to be sane

1. using a broken miraculous is like sticking your fingers into an uncovered power outlet ! Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

2. when you make a wish, you destroy the current universe and create a new one ! Current-Gabriel's Emilie is gone forever <3.

Hey, since the snake, tiger and turtle miraculi eat foods similar to ones that the actual animal eats, will all the wielders have the urge to eat whatever their animal typically eats? Or is it just a thing with those particular wielders? Because it would make sense with some of the more mammal ones, but not the insect based ones. Anywho, love this au and all your ideas for it!

How miracle exposure manifests in a wielder depends on the amount of time exposed and their perception of their situation (their specific miraculous, their relationship to their kwami, their role...)

it's all very personal and nothing is permanent, but as a rule of thumb I try to place everyone on this spectrum !

Marinette sees her role as ladybug as a means to an end. The cons outweigh the pros, so she spirals into sleeplessness, anxiety and ocd-like behavior.

Adrien looooves being chat noir. It takes him a very long time to understand how dire the situation is. Like for a lot of their friends, it's a game to him, so he tends to be very susceptible to catboy side effects.

Unfortunately for Luka, the way his miraculous works means he accumulates miracle exposure syndrome much faster than the rest of the gang. He feels rather mixed about his new abilities, so he oscillates from one hand of the spectrum to the other.
