Ooh, the Stone Egg coming out when Xiaotian is courtnapped by Ruyi? Xiaotian is already stressed out from being abducted by a creepy older guy and now having to deal with Demon Bull family drama and Ruyi's incel/conservative uncle behavior-
But-
*slides idea that DBK's parents still alive and FURIOUS when they learn that their great-grandbaby is being born early because their son's an idiot and adding to the drama when the grandchild they never met SLAMS down the door to get to his mate*
Best way to describe my idea of the Immortal Ruyi is somewhere between "Scar" from Lion King + a stereotypical dark wizard.
Tumblr media
Ruyi feels inferior to his older brother, banished or not. He feels that he must scrounge and hoard whatever power he must in order to secure his position - everything except changing a thing about himself.
When the Pilgrims encountered Ruyi; he was busy extorting the Kingdom of Women for access to the Abortion Spring - water that acted as a 100% guaranteed birth control for women (and unlucky monks) who did not want to have children. It wasn't just a matter of money - Ruyi has some pretty backwards ideas of what women should be "thankful for".
Makes sense why the Pilgrims beat the crap out of him and steal back all the money and treasures he's extorted from the women.
The Underworld is pretty inuslar - not much commincation between Realms happens down there. Even in the capital city of Youdu, communities are pretty self-isolating.
Except ever since what happened with the Ten Kings...
Yama/Yanluo needs to hire new staff.
Ruyi thinks he'd be a shoe-in for one of the Ten Kings! If only he had a good piece of arm candy to show off to the court...
Ruyi has a Compliant Hook that acts very simialrly to Wukong's Staff - and he might just use it to "hook" himself a stolen bride.
MK: (*finally managed to sneak out of the apartment to get a limited flavour of cheese tea*) Ruyi: (*whisks him away like an old-timey dastardly villain*) The Stone Egg, waking up: "Oh? It's game time now?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MK of course; is NOT HAPPY with being kidnapped by some old incel demon to a corner of the Underworld!
Even more so when he realises from context clues that this is Red's Uncle!
Ruyi thinks it's foolproof. MK is a creation of N眉wa herself, and helped stabilise all of creation with actions - having him as a spouse would be major Rep points!
MK: "Dude! I'm taken! By your nephew!" Ruyi, preparing a concoction of spring water: "Do not worry. I will remove that roadblock when we come to it. Now you be a good wife and stop scolding me." MK, growing more and more furious: "I AINT YOUR WIFE!"
MK's own kaiju-form tries to activate, but can't due to the immense discomfort he's in. Only he knows the real reason for the cramping. He whispers to his baby to hold on just a little longer, as he staunchly refuses every piece of food or drink his captor tries shoving at him.
The chaos of the courtnapping, plus MK's own loud objections - alert the true masters of the Underworld Ox Palace...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I imagine DBK assumed that his parents had passed in the centuries he'd been gone - only to realise that they weren't dead, just retired from the political scene.
R谩nsh膩o/鐕冪儳 ("to ignite") and F膩d菕u/鍙戞姈 ("shivering") were an arranged pair from birth - the union of two royal oxen clans spanning both the Hot and Cold Narakas of the Underworld.
One a dense, long-haired plume of fire. One a stern pillar of ice. Unseparable. If DBK respected anything of his parents; it was their bond.
From their union came the one who would be named "THE Demon Bull King"... and their second-born Ruyi.
They try not to play favourites but... the incident in the Kingdom of Women has soured their opinion over Ruyi's political standings. They have tried hard to throw off the imperial politics their own predecessors had imposed, and return to the "old ways". But clearly their current heir isn't wise to change.
The only thing stopping them from welcoming DBK back into their home is ultimately; Pride. If he didn't seek them out, neither would they.
Cycle of bull-headedness.
Until they smell and hear that their second-born has courtnapped himself an unwilling bride. One already with child.
MK: (*terrified and heavily pregnant*) Ruyi, showing off his prize: "Well..?" (*both ox demons look at one another... before slapping Ruyi across the head.*) R谩nsh膩o: "YOU FOOL. Courtnapping is only legitimate if the other party accepts your affection!" F膩d菕u, leaning down to MK: "The poor thing is shaking! Did you steal them from their maternity nest!? Their birth clan will have our heads if talk gets out!" Riyu, scrambling: "Well uh- I feel that they would be the perfect spouse for the heir of the Underworld Ox clan! Sun Wukong's successor is-" Both Oxen, so loud it shakes the palace: "THE WHAT?!" R谩nsh膩o: "Are you telling me, this child is the successor of the ONE DEMON able to match our family in battle!? And you dared to kidnap him for your own selfish desires!?!" F膩d菕u, hugging MK to her cool fur: "And what of their mate? Surely the existence of the calf in their stomach signals an existing sire!" Ruyi, kowtowing: "The child they carry was immaculately formed! Like the waters of the Mother-Child River! If it is an issue, I will remove it using the Spring-" (*Ruyi receives angry huffs from both parents, their breaths combining to create a boiling mist that forces him back*) R谩nsh膩o: "Get out of my sight. We'll deal with you later." Ruyi: (*scuttles away by a cockroach*) F膩d菕u, voice soft: "Child, does your clan know where you are?" MK, calming down: "No... but I imagine that they won't rest until they find me. Macaque can hear for miles, and Mei put trackers on my phone." R谩nsh膩o: "We should prepare for guests then. We must apologize to them for the distress our second-born has caused." F膩d菕u: "Is what Ruyi said true? That your child has no sire?" MK, little embarassed: "Uh! Well! It's a stone monkey thing I accidentally did. Baby is technically being made by me alone, but with Dao my body absorbs from my closest peeps and mate." F膩d菕u: "Then who is your-?" (*The gates of the Underworld Ox Palace burst open as a stampede of kaijus arrive on-scene; dragon, demon, and celestial among them. The lead of the charge is a fiery cloud in the shape of a bull - the eyes burning with True Fire. The bull crashes through the front gates and throne room, trampling any obstable in it's path. It's charge only stopping when they see the monkey demon.*) Kaiju!Red Son, bellowing deep: "RETURN HIM." MK, surprised but delighted: "Red!!" :D! Both Oxen: (*share same looks of confusion and wonder*)
The sight in the palace is adorable; the tiny monkey demon waddling as fast as he can to embrace their mate, their furry arms not even able to encompass the snout. The massive bull gently nudging their smaller mate's face and belly, as if to ask "Are you okay?" The fire receding back to it's natural shape and size as more desperate kisses are shared.
No arrows or swords drawn - the appearance of Sun Wukong in his War Form put the fear of Buddha in every single one of the Oxen Palace guards.
And the appearance of the prodigal son put joy in their hearts.
DBK: (*arrives seconds later in his regular form, PIF on his shoulder. He looks confused as he realises where Red Son's trail has lead them.*) DBK, seeing the royal couple: "Mother? Father?" The Oxen couple: "J菒n C脿i Niu!?"
R谩nsh膩o and F膩d菕u don't even question why their first-born is there. The fiery tornado that ripped through their palace was nearly identical to the kaiju-form of their elder son - only now sporting the True Winds of the boy's celestial mother.
PIF herself is caught in the embrace. She's shocked by the closeness. She had not seen her in-laws in millennia - but now they greet her as if she were beloved kin? She barely manages to squeeze out of the giants' hold to watch her husband reunite with his parents.
F膩d菕u: "A grandson! Xiaoniu - a grandson! And you never told us!" DBK, crying with frustration and joy: "I assumed that you did not care for him! I sent many letters to Father's office over the centuries!" R谩nsh膩o, angry growl: "My office... the same office your younger brother as occupied for the last eon?" DBK, realising: "That bast-" F膩d菕u, pulls his ear: "Do not finish that exclamation, calf." R谩nsh膩o: "Do not blame him, my snowdrop. If Ruyi is only responsible for what happened today, he should be so lucky to live to see the next one." PIF, floating above the oxen: "I take it you've met our son's intended?" F膩d菕u, gasping: "The expectant one!? Oh dear... barely a moment to adjust to knowing we're grandparents..." R谩nsh膩o: "Now we are to expect our first great-grandchild!" Wukong, leans in to whisper: "So. We aren't in a fighting mood now, right?" DBK: "No. Now is not time for quarrel... unless you wish to catch up with my little brother. Odds are; he's already fled the palace." Mei, racing past in dragon-mode: "I CALL FIRST DIBS!"
Reunions and curb-stomps are cut short however - as MK is forced to reveal something that has been causing him grief ever since Ruyi kidnapped him.
Macaque, ears flickering: "He's in labour." Everyone present: "WHAT!?" MK, smiling through winces of pain: "Surprise?" Red Son: (*turns Kaiju-form off and in a feral rush, carries MK to a soft surface*)
Everyone is panicking, even the ones trained in midwifery. Wukong is stammering as he tries to manifest supplies from his transformed hair. Pigsy and Tang are screaming - realising that they need to grab the Bodhisattva K峁tigarbha just in case babies aren't supposed to be born down here.
PIF is holding MK's hand, coaching him through the contractions and kissing his sweat-soaked brow. She knows the pain he's enduring.
Red is holding MK's other hand, not minding that the bones are most certainly broken by the stone monkey's grip. He's silent with excitement and fear.
Nezha briefly disappears, returning with Guanyin and Xiwangmu themselves at his side.
Guanyin: "When Nezha told me you were due - I certainly did not expect to come here! It's been some time." MK, Wukong & Macaque: "Same!"
It seems that the second MK is assured everything is prepared; the Egg pretty much shoots out - cracked and ready to go. The other monkeys barely have time to collect the broken rainbow-quartz shell when the baby starts howling to the universe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Room: (*stunned silent*) Newborn Haoye: (*immediately chirping and clinging to MK*) Macaque: "Wow. That kid did not wait at all to be born." Wukong: "Stress from the courtnapping probably scared him out." (*angry growls radiate around the room. Ruyi will be lucky to be found alive after tonight.*) Red Son & MK: (*both unintelligible blubbering*) "He is so small!!" "And orange!"
Xiwangmu nearly roars at seeing her great-grandcub alive and so loud. Her fellow great-grandparents do not hesistate to embrace the Empress when she hugs them out of joy. ("He's beautiful!" "He is!" "His taigong would have adored him!" "Did he get his fur from you Empress?")
The Underworld and the Celestial Realm are united fully in this moment... all for a tiny orange puffball who's barely a minute old.
Tang faints obviously. Pigsy holds it together long enough to say hi to his grandpiglet before passing out on the nearest sofa. Wukong and Macaque get a few sniffs in before joining Pigsy on the sofa.
All is calm.
Then Haoye sneezes and rainbow-coloured flames shoot out.
The Room: ( 0_0)? MK, laughing nervously: "Oh yeah. The Five Stones! Ha ha ha-!" Nezha, defusing: "To be fair... I spit rainbows." Mei, taking photos: "Aww, our little rainbow monkey man!!" <3
Now the baby has another set of great-grandparents to visit!
If one of the Man Yue gifts is a familar ox skull - MK doesn't comment on it.

I was re-reading the baby being introduced to the Courts and Red mentions that he and Xiaotian are legally married. When did they decide to do that? I'm imagining after the pillar when Red confesses his feelings he also proposes because go big or go home, right?
(Xiaojiao pointed out that Red had made it so he and Xiaotian were kinda having a baby together, which is like the biggest commitment already, but Red ignored her.)
Prev.
The "celestial legal marriage" happened in the months leading up to Haoyu's birth + after the confessions at the Pillar. Once it became clear to Xiwangmu that these two crazy kids were in it for the long haul - she started planning a real royal wedding.
As for "demon legal marriage" happened... even before Red confessed his feelings!
You see; demon courtship may involve a lot of kidnapping and fighting your future in-laws for their approval (something that spicynoodles has already done unintentionally), but it's not a one-sided street. The target of affection gets some pretty big say in the matter.
Kui Mulang, for example, is hated by demon and celestial communities alike for forcing a demonic marriage upon Princess Baihauxing without her consent. In demon customs, if the Princess had said "hell no." thats end of discussion. She has to be let go and returned to her clan. The Wood Wolf did not do this, and instead kept her captive and made her sire two children with him without any outside contact. Not many upstanding demons would defend him.
In Spicynoodles case; The confessions and commitment wasn't one-sided leading up to their confessions at the Pillar...
After the Xiwangmu (and the posthumous Jade Emperor) recognised Red Son as her grandchild - lots of demon clans and celestial noble houses came to the Demon Bull Clan with prospective marriage arrangements. Prospects that increased with intensity and hostility when rumours of the Bull Prince having a pregnant sweetie started rolling around the Realms.
A smokin' hot regal demon frequently tries to insert themselves into Red's personal bubble. Red is hesitant to swat them away due to recognising them as being highly-connected.
Mei isn't as passive, loudly telling the demon to get lost. She becomes more firm when MK is nearby, her demeanour much like a dragon protecting a gravid littermate.
One day the prospective suitor makes one huge mistake; attempting to courtnap Red Son.
It's a real crap show.
Somehow the suitor got their hands on some Binding-Gold Rope, pretty much lasso'ed Red Son and ran like a villain in an old timey western film. Red is angrily spitting his rejection at the Suitor, making clear that he wants nothing to do with this courtship!
The Suitor ignores the prince's demands.
Now it's getting serious.
Mei leaps forward with her sword, trying to keep up with Red Son and his captor. Before she can shoot off a burst of Samadhi Fire, another voice roars out;
MK: "BACK OFF! THEY'RE NOT YOURS!" (*MK is running after them in full golden kaiju-monkey glory. His stomach still protruding with the Stone Egg*) Red Son, blushing pink flames: "Noodle Boy?! When did you get-" The Suitor, cowering: "Nobody told me they were taken! Honest!" MK: (*Looms over the Suitor before smashing their vehicle like it's a soda can. Picks up Red Son and bites the Rope off of him. Gives Mei the scraps of rope*) Mei, surprised but understanding: "I'll deal with the trash disposal." (*Mei turns the rope into impromptu handcuffs*) Mei, gloating: "There! I've already been streaming this rescue to the rest of the crew, so you about to be cancelled! Right, guys...? Guys?" MK, still in Kaiju-form: (*loud purring noises as he nuzzles Red Son to his face*) Red Son, almost magenta red with blush: "I don't think he's in the mood for conversation!"
The rest of the gang finally arrive as backup; only to see Red safe in Kaiju!MK's arms, and the attempted court-napper completely humiliated.
Macaque, chuckling: "Oh ho ho! I've seen this before!" Pigsy: "Huh? Where?" Macaque, fond smile: "Tieshan - when she was pregnant with Red. If you think a demon can be possessive of their mate, you haven't seen a pregnant one think someone is trying to take them away." Tang, lore-thought: "OH! Like the Jade Faced Princess..?" Macaque: "Yep. Old friend of the gang. Jade Face asked Bull to help fake a marriage licence so she could claim her father's inheritance, and Iron Fan, well... she didn't take it well. Only time she's ever used her kaiju form, actually. Best thing to do is let MK calm down, and he'll return to normal size. Though he'll act a little feral for a bit." Pigsy, dreading: "How long is a bit?" Macaque: "Eh. Depends. Tieshan wouldn't let Bull out of her sight for a whole week." Red Son, thinking: "A week wouldn't be so bad. Or a few weeks even."
MK refuses to stop clinging to Red Son, even after he's returned to his regular form. He's just buried his face in Red's neck and hair, pressing his round stomach against him as a heat pack. Full nesting-mode.
Red has no true complaints about the situation.
Especially since MK has pretty much, in his feral rage, reverse-courtnapped Red Son from the Suitor.
Red Son hopes MK isn't so oblivious to not realise what he's done. (hint: he is).
When news gets back to PIF and DBK about what's happening; they both share a knowing look with one another. MK may be the successor of their old fre-enemy, but he's far better a potential in-law than any mock-title demon from an uncouth new-money clan.
PIF: "This is why I declined all of those marriage arrangements for Red Son. Clearly, the Noodle Boy has already staked his claim." DBK, nodding: "And our child has accepted the proposal in his own way. It would be hypocritical to deny him a loving mate." PIF: "One who's already providing us with a potential heir, too." DBK, tail wagging happily: "The Little Thief has shared the ultrasound photos."
So by demon standards, Red Son and MK are already married before they even fully confess towards one another!
Mei demands to host a mock bachelor party.

Okay, but, BUT, what if Wukong wasn't drugged and just went along with it for the fun of it. Or to make Macaque jealous. Or just Tripitaka got kidnapped again and it was the only way to save his ass.
prev.
Hehe!
The Pilgrims or Tripitaka got poisoned/drugged by an enemy who wanted to kidnap the monk, only for Wukong to bait the demon by pretending to be affected the same way.
Except once he's in the demon's grasp... a familar voice calls out;
Macaque: "HANDS OFF MY MATE!" (*shadowy limbs punch the lead demon out before picking up Wukong and the monk*) Wukong, still pretending to be unconcious: "???" Wukong & Tripitaka: (*are dumped back at the Pilgrims' camp*) Macaque: (*leaves thinking no one saw him*) Wukong: (*100% saw and his mind is reeling with the implications!*)
If these two had been a little smarter and less emotionally constipated back then, they could have fast-tracked their re-courting.

Just read through the MKEgged tag, and where's Redson? I want to see the roller-coaster he goes on of "A baby!? Wait, who's the father If it can't be me? Oh, okay, no other parent. I'll step in and help, what do you mean the pregnancy has a high mortality rate!?"
Just this guy trying to figure out what he's feeling and how to handle things with this baby, because yay baby, but also No you're not allowed to die!"
Prev.
haha yes! XD
Red Son's bull-brain tells him "Whomst is the father!?" immediately, even if him and MK aren't in a fully romantic relationship yet. His infatuation tells him that only *he* can father Noodle Boy's progeny!
The fact that the pregnancy was magical in nature calms him down only a little bit... until he learns that MK's true species have a high maternal mortality rate due to this unique form of reproduction.
Red Son, busting on into MK's prenatal appointment: "Noodle Boy!! Who said that you're allowed to die!? I strictly forbid it!"
Red Son goes out of his way to investigate what knowledge is available on Stone Monkeys so he can devise a way to help MK survive and recover. He knocks on the door of every soul he can think of who would hold some idea of what to do; Lao Tzu, The Gold Star of Venus, and even Guanyin herself.
The alchemist and planet god both only had second-hand accounts of how Stone Monkeys lived, but provided copies of their literature all the same.
Approaching her old master was a little awkward, but the Bodhisattva Guanyin is a patron god of safe childbirth, and Red Son wanted to have their input on the matter. To her surprise, Guanyin was equally concerned for MK's well-being - and had already offered to attend the birth to ensure that they could monitor MK and the baby. Red Son learns from Guanyin that Sun Wukong himself had such questions many centuries ago, but curiously dropped the matter sometime after the Journey. Former master and disciple share a warm goodbye, finally reunited by their worry over a noodle monkey-boy.
Xiwangmu was still mourning the loss of her husband, so Red Son thought it improper to bother her on such a matter - but clearly Lao Tzu or Gold Star blabbed. The very next time Red Son stepped into the Celestial Realm, he found himself swept into a suffocating hug by the Queen Mother of the West.
Xiwangmu, weeping: "Oh, my little fire opal. You are so proactive! Scouring the Heavens and Earth to find a way to save your mate and child!" Red Son, confused: "EHH!?!?"
Turns out, the Queen Mother had a gut-reaction to hearing that her grandson's beloved ("WHO TOLD!?" shrieks Red) Monkey Prince was pregnant. And that reaction was; "GREAT-GRANDCUBS?!?!"
Red Son barely has a second to object. The Queen Mother weeps how the Jade Emperor is to miss the birth of his first great-grandchild, but that the pregnancy is a light in a very dark time for her and the court. She orders her court secretary to give Red Son unlimited access to the celestial library so that he can continue his research.
After the whirlwind of discovering that apparently even Heaven itself blames him for MK's Egg, Red Son turns to only two known members of the Noodle Boy's species.
Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque.
The Macaque was the most difficult to get information out of since he kept slipping into the shadows whenever Red brought up questions on his species. Luckily one attempt/battle (it got out of hand) lead to the appearance of Sun Wukong on the scene.
Wukong: "What's the issue, firecracker?" Red Son, holding thick notepad: "I need to understand your species so I can devise a way to prevent MK's stone egg from killing him!" Macaque, turns off powers: "Oh! Why didn't you say so? I thought you were trying to dissect me or something!" XD Wukong: "We know almost everything there is on our species, so fire away kiddo." Red Son: "Yes! Finally! Question 1; in the case of self-spawned eggs, is the child a genetic clone of the parent?" Wukong & Macaque: (*both shake their heads*) Wukong: "Oh no. Its not a clone. You see, the Egg absorbs Dao from it's surroundings - not just it's parent. So it steals bits of DNA from whatever troop happens to be around. You know like friends, family-" Macaque, slyly: "Former mates." Wukong: "Former ma- hey!" (*glares*) Red Son, thinking: "So an additional source of life energy could supplement MK's own depleted supply?" Wukong: "Yeah... but the healthiest option is usually a dear friend or life partner. Someone who can cling to them and supply the most juice. Also helpful if the pregnant person wants their kid to look like their fave person." Macaque, knowing smile: "Or... whoever they have a big crush on." Red Son: (*hair-flames briefly flicker pink in blush as he imagines a red-furred baby monkey with calf hooves*) Red Son: "Wait. How come you both know so much about this topic? I know Sun Wukong has access to the celestial library, but Macaque has been barred from the palace grounds since the rebellion! Why do you share the same knowledge?" Wukong & Macaque: (*both start spluttering and choking on air*) Wukong, trying to find words: "You see-! We uh...!" Macaque: (*fades into background at 50% opacity, hiding face in scarf*) Red Son, realising: "Ah. I see. Thank you for your input, gentlemen." Wukong: "Where are you going now?" Red Son: "I'm going over to Noodle Boy's place. I have been invited for company." (*Red Son leaves. Macaque phases back in*) Wukong: "Well. The Egg might not be her doing. But she certainly wishes it was." Macaque: "I'm just glad they didn't try getting more out of us." Wukong, cheeky grin: "Like what? How we both know so much about Stone Eggs because once upon a time we wanted some of our own?" Macaque: (*hides face in scarf again*) "Shut up, peaches."
As for the Demon Bull parents? Well..
PIF, calmly writing letters: "Even if the child was not made the traditional fashion, we will both adore them all the same. I expect any grandchildren of mine to be as beloved as a prince or princess ought to be." DBK, arms full of baby shower gifts: "Make sure to note the exact hour, day, month, and year of the child's birth! It's very important for divining the calf's fortune!" Red Son, flames twitching: "Are you two-!? ARE YOU PLANNING A ROYAL BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT!?" PIF: "Do not shout dear. My mother visited shortly after you left. Seems that a certain child of mine has been asking around about celestial monkeys and safe magical birthing practices, and it's stirred the court's rumour mill. Me and the simians are planning a formal announcement once the child arrives." Red Son, blushing pink: "I would have gone through the same effort if I only considered them a mere ally." PIF: "I know you would. But a mere ally, does not donate so much life energy to the parent in hopes that the child becomes theirs." Red Son: (*blush grows even bigger, flames spit embers onto the surrounding furniture*) PIF, brushes embers off of desk: "Hopefully, Xiaotian doesn't experience the terrible heartburn I did whilst carrying you." Red Son: "Mother!" DBK, wincing with sympathy: "Only exacerbated by your cravings, my love! You had a great desire for charcoal and spiced meat on the bone."
MK texts Red Son a few hours later asking if he'd like to go out for some barbecue; "Just started craving it for some reason. Oh! And we should make sure to get cheese tea too! Acid reflux acting up rn and I need something to quench the flame."
Red is so down bad.
It's not all sunshine and baby monkeys though - there is genuine worry across the families about MK's condition. None more so than the men who raised him.
(*Red is leaving MK's place after a hang out session, when a certain pig-man in the kitchen speaks up*) Pigsy: "Hey... thanks for being there for him." Red Son, surprised: "Huh? Oh! No problem..." Pigsy: "I know you like him. Like, like-like him. I don't exactly approve but.... you've been going out of your way to find ways to help me. Make sure he..." Pigsy: (*trails off, eyes puffy*) Red Son: (*quietly approaches, awkwardly places a hand on Pigsy's shoulder*) Pigsy: "Promise me something." Red Son: "Ok." Pigsy: "If the worst happens... I want you to still be there. For them. Not just because you like him. But because you really care about him and his kid." Red Son, certain: "I do. I truly care for Xiaotian. And I wish to be there for him through it all. And if the unthinkable were to occur, I would still be there for them." Pigsy, wipes tears with sleeve: "Thanks, punk." Red Son: "Again, no problem." Pigsy, changing tone: "Now! What's with this letter I got saying MK and his baby are gonna be presented to the Heavenly and Infernal Court?" Red Son, remembers previous encounters: "oops."
Once he fully explains the misunderstanding in heaven, Pigsy whacks Red with a spatula.

How do the courts react to Haoyu? I mean, this is the youngest stone monkey in existence and also looks like, in Pigsy's words "a Lisa Frank" piece and a mixture of Spicynoodles, so...
Haoyu arrives + Royal court confusion.
For those confused by the "Lisa Frank" comment; Haoyu has been imbedded with the power of the Five Heavenly (or Five-Coloured) Stones, and comes out with bits of rainbows in his features - notably his eyes. Add in Red Son's absorbed life energy, and you've got a ginger-furred baby monkey (reference pic is a langur) who sneezes rainbow fire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The celestial and demon courts are jubilant, if not very confused. Haoyu's birth is the greatest news all of the Celestial Realm has had in months since the passing of the Jade Emperor. But the knowledge that the parents of said child is the Emperor's recently-recognised half-bull grandson + the surprise stone monkey successor of Sun Wukong = makes everyone baffled at the same time.
The Queen Mother has gone all out on the celebration ever since she learned that both parent and baby were safe and healthy. She's been planning the whole event for at least five weeks. Xiwangmu's great-grandson is the shining light of the universe as far as she's concerned!
MK shows up to the royal birth announcement wearing sweatpants cus monkey boy be exhausted. Red Son appears in traditional court attire, happily showing off MK and the baby like they both didn't just roll out of bed that morning. Also his big royal robe makes a great impromptu blanket once the three of them become too tired with the festivities.
Haoyu himself is still in "will not stop clinging to mom or will scream"-stage of development. So if a hard-headed noble or servant tried to take the baby off of MK; they get hit with the loudest screeching a barely-1-pound baby monkey can make. And a near-death experience courtesy of all baby's protective family members. MK has to stop Xiwangmu from reflexively tossing the offender off a cloud.
Many of the celestials and trusted demons of the party at first assume Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque to be MK's parents, only to be shocked to be introduced to a stout pig-man and a gangly human scholar.
Tang, proudly: "He takes more after me, as you can see." MK & Pigsy: (*fond sighs*)
Wukong and Macaque still proudly refer to Haoyu as their "grand-student". Especially Macaque ever since the baby saw his real ears and started making his own wiggle and glow as some sort of wordless communication - Mei calls it "baby rave mode".
DBK is trying his best not to cry or explode out of his clothing. Haoyu isn't even the size of a human baby, and the old Bull sobs whenever he sees him. Haoyu loves his big purple Yeye Bull, and has started doing little calf-headbutts to greet him. DBK would destroy heaven itself for this little orange puffball.
DBK and Xiwangmu have also come to a tentative agreement; even though the Queen Mother didn't approve of the method in which DBK and PIF eloped, he's still the better of her son-in-laws (Li Jing has been kicked down the celestial food chain ever since the incident with the Stones).
PIF is busy making her presence known since this is her first time presenting to the celestial court in centuries. She's worse than Red for showing off MK and the baby; bragging to any curious ear that dare listens.
PIF, talking to another noblewoman: "Well clearly Xiaotian and my son would produce the first great-grandchild! Red Son has had an infatuation for the boy ever since they met!" Red Son, embarrassed: "Mother!" MK, laughing: "Aww!! Babe! You had a crush on me?" Red Son: "MK, we're legally married with a baby." MK, giggling: "Still!"
Nezha's hackles are raised, watching over MK's shoulder like a guard dog. Not only keeping to his duty as Protector of Children - but also because part of the ceremony is him giving Haoyu his 100-day blessing (his Man Yue was a lot smaller and personal). It's a big deal for him. Erlang thankfully provides him some backup. At least the little guy isn't keen on being anywhere not attached to his parents anytime soon.
At the end of the day Mei and the rest of the Noodle Gang manage to distract the party so MK and Red can get out of there and relax. it's been a busy day for these two, and an even bigger one for the baby.
Xiwangmu goes searching for them frantically after noticing her Grandson and Grandson-in-law missing from the party. She finds them curled up in their guest room with little Haoyu snoring away between them. She quietly grants them her blessing and leaves the three sleep on. Her little rainbow quartz has a big universe to see.

Why you shouldn't courtnap an uninterested pregnant demon;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Referencing these three posts, and including asks sent in by anons, @raccoon1008, @crazysaru99
Why you shouldn't courtnap an uninterested pregnant demon;
Imagine a regular demon tearing you apart, and multiply that by said demon being full of pregnancy hormones.
The pregnant demon could have family nearby that will gladly tear you to shreds if you even step near them.
The sire of the baby is 99% nearby just waiting for you to do something.
Baby could have magic of it's own, and not take too kindly to it's mother being kidnapped.
Guanyin might kick your ass.
Xiwangmu might kick your ass.
Despite all these reasons to NOT try and courtnap an unwilling pregnant demon - someone in the universe would be stupid enough to try. Especially as the first points out; free spouse and heir! And if the stone monkey solo-reproductive method gets out, then the kidnapper believes that they have no rivalling suitor for MK's affections.
Examples:
A demon from a long-lasting demon clan deciding to try and muscle in on Sun Wukong's prestige by forcing a marriage onto his successor and/or him. Like a random member of the Nine Headed Lion's clan - who's made up of six lion demon brothers and their hard-headed kids. Two bros that give Jin and Yin a run for their money in stupidity deciding to grab themselves a monkey waifu as a status symbol.
Or a demon who admired Macaque's acting became stalker-ish and decided to try and courtnap so he must fall in love with them! [/sarcasm] Good old Immortal Ruyi - DBK's wimpy younger brother. Might just snatch MK away to try and "steal" his nephew's mate ("I'm older, I should get one first") and/or another celestial monkey in order to keep his throne in the Underworld for just a little longer.
Or even a foe from Wukong's past that decided that the greatest defeat of the hero would be to force him to be their bride/concubine. One in particular I can see happening is with Sai Tai Sui/Golden Haired Hou, Guanyin's old pet who was so horrid that even they couldn't forgive them. He had been creeping hard on Wukong in the Jttw canon, even after Wukong dropped his "human queen" glamour. Confirmed sexual predator in Jttw - having abused many stolen female servants to death before the Pilgrims got him.
In the scenario of MK and Macaque being unwillingly courtnapped? Those demons have signed their death certificates!
Wukong would be the first to notice if he suddenly couldn't sense or smell Macaque around the island. The baby monkeys would panic and run to him in hysterics - chirping that a "bad demon" took his dear shadow away. He might still have unexpressed emotions for his ex-mate, but he'd never leave him to be trapped in the arms of an enemy or worse a romantic rival. He immediately sounds the alarm to the rest of the Monkie Kids.
Pigsy goes upstairs to check on MK since he hasn't heard anything yet, and the gang needs their Monkey Kid if they're planning a rescue!
Only to find the room wrecked and the window open...
Red Son is called immediately - Mei blowing up his phone with half-hidden shrieks of worry asking if MK is just with him. Red says that MK decided to stay home at Pigsy's that night, but that himself had to leave to fix a bug with the Bull Clones. He puts Mei on speaker as he asks his parents if they'd seen his Noodle Boy around.
"Macaque is missing. And now it looks like MK is too..."
Red pauses for a moment.
Then she feels something in her explode.
Tumblr media
Wukong is quick to join the charging bull - knowing that the Prince has MK's scent on the wind.
Soon the Monkey King loses reservations on his own War Form - transforming into the godly kaiju that once sent Heaven running.
MK and Macaque's captors haven't even a moment to put on their charms when they see; a cloud of flames, and a three-headed being of light coming right for them.
Both rescuers get many victory cuddles afterwards!
Red is reluctant to let anyone near MK for hours afterwards. Huffing puffs of ember-rich smoke from their nostrils at the trespassers. MK finds his mate very warm during this time, but silky. Red hums as she nuzzles MK's face and belly, gaining ticklish giggling when she licks her Noodle Boy's red face.
Macaque in turn is revelling in Wukong's feral mindset. That's the King he fell for all those centuries ago! Even if Macaque had fled the first time he'd seen the King's Kaiju - he has since grown to adore and appreciate it. Turning into his own slinking shadowy form to make sure Wukong's three heads gets as much kisses as possible. <3
As for if Wukong and Macaque ever participated in courtnapping...
Tumblr media
When Wukong and Macaque were young and still discovering their feelings for one another, neither knew what "courtnapping" was about. FFM monkeys lived in an isolated community where the closest to "courtnapping" they participated in was flirtatious chasing. And Macaque was raised by Chang'e - so all he knew was Celestial dating methods.
Until the recent-college-drop-out Wukong busted on in to fight the Demon King of Confusion/Havoc, and helped save many of his own people as well as celestial agents and demonic royalty kept captive by the Havoc King. Macaque was among the captives and helped to sneak the smallest monkeys out first.
Wukong had been too busy fighting/injured in the aftermath to realise it at the time, but he accidentally "reverse-courtnapped" Macaque - who had been specifically taken as a potential bride for the King of Havoc. When he awoke, Macaque was tending to his wounds and nuzzling his face; having lived among demonkind enough to understand the basics of demon social cues. Wukong was confused... but overjoyed to learn that he'd made a great step in confessing his feelings for his dear moonflower! DBK was there to witness the reunion as one of the saved captives - he thought it was a fairytale moment.
DBK: "Wukong just flew in, saving Macaque from the clutches of that pathetic King of Havoc! And when Wukong's injuries forced him to rest, he awoke to Macaque tending his wounds! I can only dream of such a courting!" The Rest of the Brotherhood: "Aww!" Wukong, blushing terribly: "It wasn't exactly like that." Macaque, smiling slyly: "On no. He's being pretty accurate."
Many years later... Macaque manages to repay the favour. But inly because he thought Wukong would never find out about it.
In the modern day I could see Macaque rushing to save Wukong if someone like Sai Tai Sui ever came back and decided to courtnap Wukong as revenge.
Imagine a Kaiju-form shadow monkey completely no-selling the celestial beast's powers, all to finally prove to his former-mate that he'd return the favour of reverse-courtnapping him back.
Macaque: (*groans as he comes to from going feral. Vision fixes onto Wukong looking over him as he slept.*) Wukong: "Hey..." Macaque: "Hey." Wukong, cheeky smile: "I think I heard you say something about repaying the favour before you powered-up?" Macaque: (*realises that Wukong is tending to his injuries... as he had done to him centuries ago*) Macaque, hopeful smile: "I guess so. Has it worked?" Wukong: "You tell me." (*aggressively nuzzles Macaque while chirping*) Macaque: (*enthusiastically nuzzles back!*)
MK walks in at some point and quickly covers his eyes.

Spicynoodles with egged MK content.
The angst, the fluff, the hurt/comfort, all of it.
That's all I got right now.
That feel when the boy you have a crush/rivalry with is having a (literal) single-parent crisis, and he's just learned he's a primordial stone monkey that may die due to the unique process.
Tumblr media
Red Son is confused af - when did *this* happen?! He was in a Scroll for a lot of the process, so he's a little out of the loop!
Not to mention, everyone's gut reaction is to look at them!! As if they had something to do with it!
Red Son and his family have been in more frequent contact with Sun Wukong and his prot茅g茅 ever since the events surrounding the release of the Brotherhood. DBK forms an unexpected friendship with Pigsy over their shared journeys of cooking and fatherhood. The same occurs on a smaller scale with Tang and PIF getting together to gossip about immortal drama over cocktails.
The fact that Red's parents see MK's future cub as a surrogate grand-calf could be part of that. Red still blushes whenever she remembers her father's first assumptions on the matter.
MK becomes a bit of a recluse in the days after S4. Not only because of what he's learned about himself and his Egg, but because his energy is severely sapped.
At Mei's insistence, Red Son agrees to come over and spend some time with their fave monkey-boy. MK appreciates the company. The Egg absorbs so much life energy that he can barely get out of bed some days.
After a few weeks MK breaks down into hormonal tears. Sobbing into his former-enemy's jacket.
MK: "Everything I do leads to pain.... I'm sorry. You're the last person I should cry to." Red Son, rubbing MK's back: "It's ok. This is all... very new for all of us. You being the only other known celestial monkey besides Sun Wukong and Macaque has been a shock to everyone." MK, sniffling: "No. Not just that... this... I don't think I'll be able to be there for them." Red Son, stiffens: "What do you mean?" MK: "I'm..." (*gets quiet*) Red Son, thinks for a bit: "My mother does share the stories you know. How she almost died bringing me to life. To make that risk... It's admirable." MK: (*quietly leans head on Red Son's shoulder*) Red Son: "You've stated your intentions many times before to continue the pregnancy despite the risks. All I can offer is that I'm allowed to be there to see you through it." MK, looking up with surprise: "You will?" Red Son: "Yes." MK, regaining cheeky smile: "Not just because your parents are convinced it's yours?" Red Son, coughs awkwardly: "WELL uh!" *cough* "Uncle did mention that proximity to a preferred... partner, could help alleviate the worst of the symptoms caused by lack of life energy. But that the child could become peppered with the Dao of the partner and therefore their DNA..." MK, happy laughing: "I don't mind having a baby with red hair or horns, if thats what you're worried about!" Red Son: (*blushing furiously*)
So Red Son unofficially deems herself "the sire" of the Egg so she can donate her life energy to the depleted MK.
Then Season 5 happens...
MK actually manages to fight back against the restraints of the Ten Kings - his body providing a beacon of Life that they have no power over. Li Jing still handles the pregnant creature roughly, father or not - he sees MK as a beast that needs to be tamed. Nezha growls at his father's actions, and quickly comes to MK's aid - declaring his duty as a Protector of Children (although stretching the definition considering said child could be MK himself or the unborn cub) to preside over Li Jing's orders.
Somehow, knowing about his Egg, makes MK even more self-sacrificial. Because in his mind; if his Stone Egg is going to kill him anyway - why not sacrifice himself to repair the Heavenly Pillar?
Everyone reacts even worse than in canon.
The Nine-Headed Demon certainly didn't expect the Harbinger to "sprout off" so soon! They tease and prod MK - pointing out that he's accomplishing something not even the Monkey King has done; have a child of his own.
Wukong and Macaque snarl and bite at the snake for that comment...
Xiangliu is kept busy from trying to stop multiple heroes and anti-villains from tearing him apart.
Wukong can't even bring himself to fight MK's sacrifice, only able to hang onto his successor in a desperate hold. Begging him to please think of himself. His family and friends! His Egg even!
But MK still makes that leap.
Upon entering N眉wa's sanctuary within the Pillar and learning that his sacrifice was to only upkeep a destructive cycle, MK... has the expected reaction.
MK: "You expect me to sacrifice myself to when my kid won't even live to see the world?!" N眉wa, surprised: "I... I will admit. I had not known you would be able to do that."
After hearing her Harbinger's tearful plea, the goddess can only smile and sigh.
Although the safest option is to continue the cycle, she knows any child of her blood or clay would not dare leave the world or people they love so dearly. Heavens weep when a mother/father sets their mind to something. Something she struggled with many eons ago...
She gives her Little Heaven the Five Stones and the instructions for how to split their powers evenly across the cosmos. Humanity has certainly increased in number since her time!
She also gives blessings to her future grand-creation! The little stone monkey will be the first born naturally since Sun Wukong after all. She can spare a blessing or two to ensure their safe arrival!
MK leaves the Pillar, seeing his friends and family clasped together - all believing that the world was truly coming to an end.
Red Son, emboldened by the coming apocalypse, suddenly declares something that's been on his mind for a while now.
Red Son: "I like-like you, noodle boy! I did not lie when I said I want to be by your side through it all! If the world is to end now, I do not wish for it to end without saying I wish we could have been courting!" MK, touched: "Aww!!! Thats really sweet, Red Son! But I actually have a plan to save the world!" Red Son, stuttering: "Oh um. Ok?" MK: "I totally reciprocate the feelings though!" Red Son, excited: "You do!?" Macaque, interrupting: "Excuse me, lovebirds. End of the world?" MK, fumbling the five stones: "OH YEAH! RIGHT!"
The stones are still destroyed, and the Queen Mother of Heaven watches as the power her husband harboured for so long spreads across the universe like petals on the wind.
It takes some time for MK's egg to be fully ready, so him and Red Son have some time to do some courting before the little guy arrives!
PIF and DBK totally called it.
Tumblr media
Also it turns out harbouring the Five Heavenly Stones while pregnant has some... unexpected effects on the Stone Egg within...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Whole Family: "..." Baby: (*eyes glowing with a rainbow shimmer*) Baby: *chirp*! Pigsy: "Why does my grandson look like a Lisa Frank drawing?" MK: (*tired shrug*) Mei, taking photos: "He's so pretty!!"
The baby is named "Haoyu - the "Vast Universe/娴╁畤" to MK's "Little Heaven/灏忓ぉ". Depending on the characters it can also mean "cloudburst/璞洦" aka an unexpected rain.

DBK: Oh, you should have seen Macaque when Azure first showed up at our doorstep. Had Wukong not been right there and clear that we had needed the alliance at the time, he probably would have ripped that lion to shreds the moment laid a claw on Wukong's shoulder in greeting!
Macaque: I did not- You know as well as I did, that Wukong can handle himself just fine when it comes to courtship!
Tieshan, cackling: Doesn't stop you from being jealous about your precious 'Sunshine' having so many suitors, my dear brother!
DBK: You still get that way as well, or do we need to remind you of just how you decided to introduce yourself to young MK here? And he hadn't even been a suitor, merely someone spending for too much time with Wukong for your taste until you realized the nature of their bond!
MK: Wait... the reason you attacked me was because you were jealous of me!? Because I was close to Monkey King? Who, need I remind you, is your ex??
Macaque: Look, you were a strange mortal who Wukong just randomly picked as his successor after years of isolation, and I was freshly revived. What the hell else was I supposed to think!?
Prev.
YUP! Simp Macaque behaviour! XD
He was so aggro towards MK at the start because this shadow monkey is a yandere in denial.
HIs feral brain was firing off thoughts like; "Who's this? Why are they occupying my mate's time? Angry!" which after some time developed into "Oh nvm. It's a cub. Our cub now." :3
Wukong isn't any better. If he saw how many admirers Macaque had before and after they broke up - he'd turn into a snarling jealous monkey in an instant.
Random Demon, slides up to Macaque: "Hey handsome, can I get your numb-" Wukong, jumps between them:
Tumblr media
Random Demon: "Oh damn! My bad!" (*leaves*) Macaque: (*smugly preens over Wukong's shoulder*)

Now I'm imagining a courtnapping sequence with Wukong and Macaque. Like... for soem reason I get the feeling it'd be Wukong who gets kidnapped in one of these? Tbw Great Sage Equal to Heaven would be a very tempting potential mate and it's not like her and Macaque were very public before.
Well. It's about to become VERY public when a very young Macaque goes full jaiju for the first time in an attempt to save Wukong and reverse courtnapping him. The reason Wukong couldn't fight back was because he was young, arrogant, and drugged. This was during the Journey, but Wukong doesn't remember it happening due to the fact he was knocked out for the majority of the time.
Years later, DBK tells the story to a very embarrassed MK who throught the way he acted when Redson was taken was unbecoming of the Monkey King's successor. He'd heard it from Tieshan, who heard it from Macaque.
Prev.
When MK finally snaps out of his feral state, he's apologetic af. He comes to in his apartment, his whole sleeping area turned into a makeshift nest, and wrapped around Red Son like he's a body pillow.
MK, nearly jumping to his feet: "OHMYGOSH! RED SON, I AM SO SORRY!!!" Red Son, chilling: "What for?" MK: "Didn't I like-!? Demon kidnap you!?" Red Son: "Yes, and you reverse-courtnapped me from that despicable mara. You have my gratitude... and my unending loyalty." MK, not understanding: "Wut?" Red Son, disappointed sigh: "You don't even know what courtnapping even means do you?" MK, quickly hides phone: "Maaaaybe... maybe I knew about it, and sorta forgot when I thought that guy was gonna hurt you...?" Red Son, moves to get out of bed: "I should have know..." MK: "Does this mean we're like, dating and stuff? Cus Pigsy says Tang did this to himself before they got married." Red Son: (*chokes on air, flames briefly flicker pink*)
Even if MK seems to be oblivious to the situation... it's more that he's genuinely happy but unsure if Red even thinks of him "that way". He doesnt want to rock the boat, especially in case Red is only sticking around cus of the Egg.
Mei, look of disbelief: "You're having a baby together, bro." MK, drinking cheese tea: "Yeah. But like, as friends." Mei: (*looks at her livestream audience like she's on The Office*)
MK of course apologises to DBK and PIF; bringing Wukong to vouch for him. The Monkie Kid is disappointed in himself for losing his self-control in that moment, pregnancy hormones or not. But all the adults look... amused?
DBK, fond chuckle: "This all reminds me of a certain sneaky simian, who rushed to reclaim what he thought was rightfully his King." PIF, smiling with a hum: "A simian who nearly stopped the Pilgrims' Journey in its tracks because he believed they were keeping his mate from him." MK: "Wait. Do you mean-?" Macaque, popping out of the shadows: "I know you ain't gossiping about me, sis!"
The demon bull couple proceed to dunk on Macaque for the next hour; regaling MK and Red Son with stories of how often Macaque would fly off the handle at any perceived rivals for Wukong's affections.
Turns out MK isn't the most possessive of the monkeys! XD
Wukong: "How come I don't remember that story?" PIF: "I'm not surprised. Your suitor had drugged you. It was during your Journey, and though you were not on best of terms; Macaque felt it necessary to save you from a dishonourable courtnapping. I assumed he already told you." Wukong, amazed: "Really, plums?" Macaque, blushing and hiding face in scarf: "Is' no big deal." DBK, bellowing laughter: "HAHA! No big deal?! You transformed into your Smoke-giant form and tore that demon to shreds! I'm surprised that you had the sense to return him to his Pilgrim brethren afterwards." (*Macaque sinks deeper into scarf as DBK and PIF laugh. Wukong smiles at him with a newfound appreciation. MK feels a little offended hearing that his actions reminded them all of Macaque.*)
Note: if a similar courtnapping of Wukong were to occur in the modern day; Macaque would still show the same level of ferocity. He'd just have backup in the form of adoptive-cub MK wanting his mentor back.
Pigsy can't say anything about how MK busted out his Kaiju-form out of jealousy. Lets just say a certain scholar got hit-on at a bar once, and they came face-to-face with a giant snorting boar demon glaring them down. Tang brags about the incident to this day. ("It was hot.")

Does that last ask mean Nezha is on MK鈥檚 side the whole time during the MK Egged au?
Ref.
Yup.
The second Nezha learned about MK's Stone Egg, his loyalty has been to his role as Protector of Children.
To ensure that the youngest Stone Monkey (whether that be MK himself or the future infant) is safe outweighs any other duties Nezha may have. Except perhaps finding safe place to hide the Emperor's power.
So when Li Jing treats MK like animal that needs to be tamed and caged, Nezha's trust in his father falters.
Nezha busts the monkeys out on purpose. And pretends he sees nothing when he attends the Dragon-Tiger festival.
Li Jing: "You let them get away!? Why didn't you react?!" Nezha:
Tumblr media
When the gang jump into the Pagoda, Nezha is jumping in after them cus "Gotdang it! Gotta make sure MK is safe!"
Also once the Queen Mother of the West arrives on-scene to see what the commotion is about, Li Jing gets the crap beaten out of him for putting a pregnant person in distress.
Xiwangmu, destructive power lashing at Li Jing: "You are truly the worst son-in-law I have!" Li Jing, dodging her flames: "Do you forget the Bull!!?" Xiwangmu: "HE WOULD NEVER HURT A PREGNANT PERSON!"
Xiangliu barely has the screen time to explain their plans since they get a War Form Lotus Prince and Primordial Destruction Goddess squeezing them like a stress ball. Meanwhile, MK still puts himself in harms way by sacrificing himself to the Pillar, only to pop out moments later with Nuwa's permission to destroy the heavenly stones.
Once the baby Haoyu is finally born/hatched, Nezha holds them and prays; "Please, do not be as much trouble as your parent."
Haoyu sneezes and flames spit onto Nezha's face. Nezha sighs fondly.

Wukong, not realizing MK is a Dtone Mpnkey until the Brotherhood incident somehow, watching him take on his monkey form for the first time: *Eye twitching* He's a Shi Baomu.
Macaque: Yup.
Wukong: You know what that means... why he smells like that?
Pigsy: What!? What does it mean...
Wukong: We are so screwed.
Macaque: I'd run for cover if I were you... a Stone Monkey whose mate and child are at risk is the most terrifying thing in the world. Take Wukong as an example, and he hadn't even been pregnant at the time!
Prev.
Wukong would be that kind of out-of-the-loop during the earlier seasons since he was busy trying to find info on LBD, and immediately the gang got tossed out the frying pan into the Samadhi Fire.
Note: MK still embraced Mei when her True Fire nearly went out of control. The whole gang was horrified. Especially since MK's body seemed to try and eat the fire.
Pigsy: "YOU TWO HADN'T KNOWN!?!" Wukong, flustered: "Things were a little busy what with the BONE DEMON TRYING TO DESTROY THE EARTH!! I hadn't time to ask my student; Hey, are you a pregnant extinct monkey? Cus you stink. Not exactly polite conversation!" Macaque: "I knew. I was just waiting until MK admitted it." Tang: "Since when?" Macaque: "Ehhh... I started suspecting since you guys went to my shadow play. When I captured you guys, he was so distraught thinking you ditched him that his human form glitched out." Wukong: "YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!?" Macaque, smug: "I wanted to watch you suffer the uncertainty."

MKEgged AU-
Someone tells the younger Spicynoodles children that their parents aren't going to love them when Spicynoodles announce their second bio baby.
Spicynoodles have to pretend to be very stern when they're called in the school about their older kids fighting and biting the idiot. The minute they're out of sight, Xiaotian asks who wants ice cream for being good siblings.
Prev.
The second MK pregnancy occurs in the middle of a very awkward time.
See, MK and Red had been in the process of adopting the little calf twins Shuixian & Chuju + their protective foster brother Zishan.
Red and MK had started talking about the idea of adopting another child around the time the girls (Xuancao & Yingsu) had started primary school. Each of their three kids had come to them from unusual circumstances, and it only seemed "right" to open their hearts to one or more little ones lost in the foster system.
Megapolis, being like any modern city, still has orphans and abandoned children who need homes.
And sadly, demon children are most often forgotten...
It was relatively easy to organise a visit to one of the group foster homes and meet the children there. MK and Red made sure to downplay their identities, hoping that the organisers wouldn't try to "sell" them on a child.
During their visit, a pair of calves slowly approach the couple out of curiosity. They barely reach past Red's boots, and tip-toe inch by inch as the couple are greeted by other hopeful children. They share the same ragged plush rabbit doll, each twin holding an arm.
Shuxian & Chuju: (*very shyly point at Red Son's head, patting the little budding spots on their own skulls*) MK, understanding: "Oh Red~ I think these little ladies want to see your horns better." Red Son, surprised: "Really? You want to see my horns?" Shuxian & Chuju: (*happy nodding*) Red Son, kneeling down: "That's no issue. I'm half-bull demon myself. My horns only grew in the last few decades..." Shuxian & Chuju: (*pat at Red's usually-hidden horns, their little hoofed fingers unfazed by his fiery hair. It's like they've never seen another ox demon before.*) Red & MK: (*share defeated, adoring smiles*)
They think's the most adorable little thing on the Mortal Plane. And Xuancao & Yingsu had been requesting that they bring them home a baby sister or two...
Shuxian & Chuju (named for their yellow and white furs respectively) are a pair of minotaur-like ox demons. They had been passed over for adoption many times due to their lack of humanoid features. For the longest time, they had only each other to lean on. For all anyone knows, Red really is the only other ox demon they've ever seen.
However, as the couple ask if the girls would like to come and live with them - the calves shake their heads.
Red Son: "Hmm? How come?" Both toddlers: (*walk toward the older kids' section of the foster home, pointing at a door with "time-out in-session" written on a crude sign*)
MK and Red share curious looks. Did the girls have an older sibling?
Inside the room they see a little boy, about the age of five, sitting alone in a pen amongst the empty play room. He's been crying, and appears to have scuffs on his face.
The demon couple immediately inquire about the boy - only for the owner of the group home to brush off their concerns.
Group Home Organiser: "That's Zishan. He's been having these random tantrums where he starts headbutting everyone, boys and girls alike. He's not related to anyone as far as his birth record shows. I think your potential girls are attached to him for some reason."
That "some reason" is quickly discovered when another child in the group home pushes one of the calves to the ground during playtime. The girls' beloved rabbit plush is torn out of their hands.
Zishan lets out the loudest roar he can and rips the netting of the "time-out pen" open; charging at the larger child.
It's love at first sight for MK and Red. Their new girls had long anointed the "troublesome" child their big brother since very first time he had a "random" headbutting spree.
You could say that they "Bought 2, got a 3rd extra!".
As the parents are at home finalizing the paperwork - MK has a sudden Feeling.
The same Feeling he had around the time he learned he was pregnant with Haoyu...
MK: "Red, hun?" Red Son: "Yes, my dear sunflower?" MK: "When's the last time we did Bedroom Twister?" Red Son: (*chokes on drink at the sudden question*)
One emergency-pregnancy test later and...
Red Son: "Five weeks..." MK, silently panicking: "Yup." Red Son, hugging him close: "The children will have opinions on the matter." MK: "Yup." Red Son: "Are you considering options?" MK: "Yeah. But you're gonna think I'm crazy." Red Son: "Try me, Noodle Boy." MK: "I still want to bring the girls and Zishan home... but I still want this baby too? Demon Monkeys cook for two years according to Wukong and Mac, so it's a lot of time to prepare." Red Son: "And it's very early to announce. The children can settle in and adapt long before we tell them." MK: "You're on board too?!" Red Son, genuine smile: "MK, back before I even had the courage to admit my feelings for you, I said I wanted to be with you for the whole ride. And I will do so again no matter how many times you choose. Even with three extra passengers." MK, happy crying: "You're such a sappy bull!!" (*throws arms around Red's neck and kisses her*)
Shuxian, Chuju, and Zishan are welcomed into their new home and family within the next week. They quickly single out Yeye Bull as their favourite grandparent, The old demon king is completely spellbound the girls' adorable cow-eyed faces and their brother's protective-if-hot-blooded nature. DBK is somehow even more soft than when he met Haoyu and the older girls.
This perfect family dyanmic becomes strained when it gets harder for MK to hide his condition...
Wukong, gold-vision activated, pointing at MK's stomach: "Egg." MK, eating three bowls of noodles: "Egg." Wukong: "How long?" MK, nervous smile: "About the same time the trio came home with us?" Wukong, tired smile: "You're a Sh铆 B菐om菙 through and through, MK." MK, confused: "Thanks??" Wukong: "Hopefully she isn't as eventful as Haoyu was." MK, excited: "SHE!?!"
The pregnancy announcement goes as expected. DBK and PIF are overjoyed and immediately demand to know the due date and if they have thought of any names. Pigsy and Tang both have minor fainting spells before hugging their son tight, both crying incoherently. Mei and Sandy start comparing ideas for a new baby room. Macaque goes into "grand-monkey-mode" and quietly grooms MK's fur, mumbling that the baby will have dark hair. Xiwangmu and the Ox great-grandparents are also ecstatic, jumping in each other's arms like dear girlfriends.
But amongst the joy of the announcement; someone (likely Li Jing tbh) makes the accidentally-insensitive declaration of "Now you'll have a real daughter!"
*record scratch sound*
The room gets quiet.
MK and Red get this look on their faces, soon followed by every family member with a braincell.
They realise that all of the children are present, and their face's have just dropped. The older twin girls, Xuancao and Yingsu, run from the dining table - trying to subtly hide their faces. Haoyu looks confused; why are they upset? Don't they know they are *real* sisters?
Similar moments like these occur through out the next week or so.
Zishan is the most explosive. Alone, he throws his plush monkey toy (his "welcome home!" gift) to the ground and screams that he hates them.
Shuxian and Chuju revert to the silence they once held when they first met the couple. They even begin storing their most precious items in garbage bags under their beds. As if they're preparing to be moved to another group home...
Not even reassurance from their parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, or even Mei seems to lighten their spirits.
It all comes to a boiling point one day when MK gets a call from the primary school.
There's been a fight.
At first, MK and Red assumed it was Zishan - he did have earlier altercations with other children that year. Or even the elder girls - both were bottling up a lot of emotions, and it wouldn't surprise them if either had lashed out in class.
But when they get to the office they see Haoyu.
Haoyu. The same child who's only stain on his academic record was "singing too loud in class" or "lost focus and fixated on spider on his desk for an hour".
Their eldest child has a black eye and tissue shoved up his nostrils. He looks wrecked. But the kid beside him looks like they met the business end of a chair.
Which it turns out they did.
Apparently there was an incident. A classmate in the lunch room had claimed that Haoyu's parents "had no need for the fake kids" anymore - in front of the monkey demon's little sisters...
It doesn't take a genius to imagine why.
MK and Red do their best "aghast parent" acts as Haoyu is given a month of detention. The offending child is given the same for their insensitivity and rough-housing.
The moment they get outside and start walking to pick up the younger kids, MK gives his son the biggest smile ever.
MK: "You're a good brother A-H贸ng [little rainbow]. I'm proud f you for sticking up for your siblings." Red Son: "I'm impressed that you didn't send that child to Diyu. You certainly have better self-control than I would have in your shoes." Haoyu: (*surprised tiny smile. His one adult fang is chipped.*) :3
The younger children are surprised and overjoyed when dinner that night is ice cream and cakes. Pastries cooked by a very proud Granddadsy and Yeye Bull.
The very public demonstration by the eldest Spicynoodles child seemed to quell much of the worries the younger children had about the up-coming baby. In their minds; it proved that their big brother saw them as his *Real* siblings no matter what. The chipped fang his seal of promise.
And maybe that means that Bama and Baba, and all their relatives aren't lying when they say that they're *Real* to them too.
A week later at the end of a PTA meeting' MK nearly gouges the eyes out of one of the other parents after overhearing them ask why he "didn't return the rejects" when the pregnancy was discovered. the fight got out of hand. Pigsy joins in on MK's behalf after telling him to not stress himself out.
Seems that over-defensiveness comes from his side of the family.

When does MK figure out his mate and son are in line for the Jade throne?
Also I know his pregnancy happens after the brotherhood, but I want Azure's reaction to his crush's son carrying and being mated to the royal line. ( Given other au's he'd see it as double black mail against Wu kong and the emperor.)
MK probably finds out that he's now connected to the royal family sometime after Red discovers his own connection to them.
One idea for the Au is that MK met Xiwangmu & the Jade Emperor on accident after one of his medical checkups with Lao Tzu. The Emperor feeling a guilt he had not felt in millennia, whilst the Empress cradled the distressed soon-to-be-parent in her arms.
Soon when he runs into her again around S4/5;
MK: "Hi Queen Mother lady!" Xiwangmu, smiling pleasantly: "Hello Xiaotian." Red Son, aghast: "What?! How do you two already know each other!?" MK: "I had a big-sad moment after one of my appointments, and after I unloaded a bit onto this tall guy in the gardens, the Queen appeared and started comforting me. She gave me a much-needed shoulder to cry on." Xiwangmu, soft laugh: "That tall guy you encountered was my husband." MK: "OH! Sorry I hadn't know at the time! I really feel bad I hadn't a chance to get to know the guy before the... you know." Xiwangmu: "It's perfectly fine, your mind was preoccupied with thoughts of yourself and your future child. My husband thought you were a charming spirit." Red Son, thoughts malfunctioning: "How in Buddha's grace did Noodle Boy meet my grandparents before I did!?"
Once MK and Red Son are a confirmed mated pair - MK realises from context clues that his mate is actually a Prince. Not just the heir of a demon clan - but "The Prince of the Cosmos" even!
MK has a little panic episode when he realises that in future, he might be considered the new Queen Mother (or King Dad) since he'll be married to the only other heir besides too-busy-for-romance-rn Nezha!
And his baby is considered an heir too!!!
Wukong finds his successor four-noodle bowls deep into a stress eating binge. He rubs MK's back until he calms down. He's quick to point out that the Queen Mother isn't retiring anytime soon, and that no one can really "replace" the Jade Emperor after he's been a fixture for the last thousands of years.
He's got forever to prepare.
Unless Nezha finds a certain handsome icy eastern dragon prince, or Erlang gets an heir within that time, and they beat him to the succession race. Then he doesn't have to care at all about celestial politics and just focus on being the Monkie Kid. That makes MK feel a little better. XD
As for the pregnancy itself! It actually started before the Brotherhood!
Possibly even as early as Season 2 with no Wukong to check if MK has buried himself recently (spoiler; he did on accident while trying to meditate the ick of LBD out of his brain). Lao Tzu could grab the gang to ask where tf his Furnace went, only for MK's human form to glitch out from hormonal changes, exposing the pregnancy on accident.
Wukong and Macaque both spend S3 staring at MK like he's Schr枚dinger's pregnant. He smells like he is. But clearly he isn't that clumsy or unfortunate to accidentally self-spawn a stone egg, right?
Spoiler; he is.
LBD has more ammo to torment MK with.
As for the Brotherhood themselves...
If Azure had sensed/smelled the Egg on MK when they had first met, he would have been shocked. Not only has Sun Wukong chosen a successor - but the same successor has an heir of his own cooking in the oven! How time flies.
Azure would more gently try to convince MK about the Brotherhood's plans, only for MK to go berserk thinking of how the Queen Mother, Nezha, or even Red could be hurt in the coup. But the monkey boy's powers are too weak and erratic to prevent canon from happening.
Peng and Yellowtusk are hesistant to raise their weapons to he pregnant demon. Peng has suffered the loss of a young niece and nephew before. And Yellow Tusk knows the anger a pregnant demon can wrought when pushed to their limits.
Red Son was another thing the Brotherhood was surprised to learn about when they busted down DBK's door - they had heard rumours but were not invited to any family events. The former agents recognise Iron Fan as a former celestial princess, and therefore her child an heir to the Jade Emperor's throne.
One slip of the tongue also reveals that MK is connected to all this... as the mate of the Emperor's grandson! Small world.
The scene with The Brotherhood vs The Demon Bull Fam still plays out as in canon, though with the Brotherhood more focused on taking hostages than convincing Bull to rejoin them. The Emperor's daughter & grandson would make pretty big bargaining chips after all. Red Son still manages to get away - his father pushing him aside to take the brunt of the Scroll's power.
During the attack on the Celestial Realm, Azure steps one foot towards MK, and suddenly has multiple blasts of Samadhi Fire to his face.
Red Son, burning furiously: "DO NOT TALK ABOUT MY MATE! DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT HIM!" DBK & PIF: (*surprised but proud clapping from the Scroll!!*) Mei, is amped up with her own fire: "I FUCKING KNEW IT!"
MK was a bit far away to hear Red's words amongst all the fighting and flames, but Macaque def heard it.
At that moment; Azure knows if he got his hands on MK, that the Queen Mother or even the Jade Emperor would bend to his will.
As selfish as the emperor is; even he would not risk the life of the one carrying his first great-grandchild...
If the boy doesn't tear him to shreds first.

Was Red Son going up to heaven and being granted unlimited access to their library the first time he met his grandmother or ANY of his grandparents?
Idk about DBK'S extended family situation, but if that's Red Son's first introduction to her (biological) extended family OMG that's probably a lot to handle with everything else going on in their life.
Ref.
In terms of paternal family; there isn't much left. DBK's parents kicked him out after he made it clear he was marrying Iron Fan, and her alone. His younger brother Ruyi inherited everything as the sole heir after their parents passed from age. DBK always thought that his parents had strayed from their demonic roots, many demon clans had - preferring to mimic the mortal or celestial politics beyond the Underworld.
DBK kinda wishes Red had time to know his paternal grandparents, but he knows they wouldn't have approved of the boy either. They might have seen him as a worthy bargaining chip for marriage contracts, but doubts much else.
The less said about Ruyi the better.
As for PIF's side of the family? Well...
My hc is that Red Son accidentally met his maternal grandmother before - during New Years when he and Mei broke into the Peach Orchard.
Xiwangmu can recognise her daughter's features from a mile away. And farther still, the flickers of her own True Fire. But she simply patted both of them on the heads and sent them on their way. Her heart grew fond seeing "little ones" running around the gardens again, like how her daughters used to as cubs/hatchlings. If she knew her kin, she knew that the little fire opal would stumble back into their lives again eventually.
After the events of Season 3 and with LBD nearly destroying the world - Heaven had to get involved with the clean up (LBD broke a lot of laws).
Nezha, who knew Red Son when he was an infant, was ultimately the first one to ask openly;
Nezha: "Haven't you ever actually met your mother's parents?" Red Son, busy fixing the van: "No. She never discussed them. The only time I asked, she said that they were not welcome in our lives. I felt it was rude to pry." Nezha: "...you know we're cousins right?" Red Son: "EHH!?!"
In Red Son's defence; he just thought Nezha babysat him as a favour to an old fighting buddy. Turns out the real reason was because Nezha was the only member of the Celestial Royal Family brave enough to sneakily keep contact with Iron Fan after the war.
So now Red Son is dealing with the knowledge that he's a Celestial Royal Prince!?
Red Son begins accompanying Nezha to the Celestial Realm - not feeling comfortable without a chaperone to defend him. At first just to tag along with boring post-battle stuff; notably returning Lao Tzu's furnace. The alchemist was annoyed by the loss of three pills, but impressed that Red Son managed to concoct a cure to whatever LBD added to Spider Queen's venom on the fly.
And Lao Tzu is terrible for keeping secrets...
Within the next few visits; Nezha and Red Son are stopped by Celestial Guards. Seems that the Jade Emperor himself wants an audience with the fire demon.
Red Son swallows a lump in his throat. Nezha gives him a sympathetic, but supportive smile.
The Jade Emperor is... a lot taller than Red Son expected. But the woman at his side is familiar somehow...
Xiwangmu, delighted: "I told you he'd return, my jade!" Jade Emperor, stony face: "So he has." Red Son, remembering: "Hey, wait a minute! You're the woman from the orchard! You let me take a peach!" Xiwangmu, tittering: "Of course! I cannot deny my own grandchildren the fruits of my garden!" Red Son, stuttering: "Y-you knew...?" Xiwangmu, dismounting her throne: "Of course. It's not hard to recognise the tiny face I saw the day I nearly lost my youngest daughter. I still have my duty as Goddess to protect new mothers from misfortune after all... Tieshan is a proud woman. She rejected my help up until she lost consciousness. Then your father begged for me to intervene. Despite our animosity, he still kowtowed to me to save her and you. I respect him for it." Red Son, realising: "You... you knew about me since I was born. Then... why didn't you try contacting me?" Xiwangmu, shares sad glance with her husband: "If I had... It would have placed a terrible spotlight on our youngest grandchild. If the Realms had even suspected, imagine how many demons and celestials alike would have gladly torn you asunder?" Jade Emperor, finally speaking: "Once your True Fire emerged, it would not be long until people began questioning your heritage. Only my wife and your cousin Li Nezha have wielded it before you." Xiwangmu: "We were so delighted when Guanyin took you on as her disciple! It eased our worries so much that your aunt was keeping an eye on you!" Red Son, first time hearing this lore: "Wait what?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN AUNT!?!"
Red Son was starting to get used to visiting the Celestial Realm and getting to know his maternal family.
IF PIF and DBK saw him leave the palace and return with books from the imperial library, they didn't make any comment on it.
Then Season 4 happened...
Red Son's warning may have been too late to truly save his grandfather, but it was enough to evacuate the Queen Mother and the Princesses. The celestial army didn't believe him at first, but Nezha was quick to support his judgement. It only took a quick fact check with the Ten Kings to confirm that the Scroll of Memory was indeed missing, and that the three former-celestial agents were now loose upon the mortal realm.
The last time Red Son saw his grandfather alive was when he tried dragging him off his throne, not even big enough to fully grasp a finger.
The Jade Emperor refused to budge.
Jade Emperor: "Why are you here alone?" Red Son, crying from panic: "The Brotherhood-! They wanted to recruit Father back into their ranks, but he refused! Mother leapt to take the blow meant for him and he-! His last act was to try and save her!" Jade Emperor, noticeably stiffens: "The Brotherhood struck them down?" Red Son: "N-no. But they captured them in the Scroll of Memory. But! If Azure wanted to, he could snap the bamboo containing their souls! Please! I beg of you! Evacuate with the Queen Mother, so you won't suffer the same fate!" Jade Emperor: (*sighs with relief upon hearing Iron Fan is alive. settles back into his throne*) Jade Emperor: "...Child. If you are so insistent on protecting this world, go confront the Brotherhood at your cousin's side. I am not a helpless old fool." Red Son: "But-!" Jade Emperor: "But nothing! I am not ordering you as an Emperor. But as your grandfather. Leave me here to greet my foes, as a demon king facing a warrior's end." Red Son, stops trying to drag him: "I... I will ensure that they never make it past those doors! You can count on me! Nezha and I will crush them!" Jade Emperor: "I know you can. You are my daughter's son." Red Son: (*says nothing else, but tearfully nods to his grandfather for what he correctly feels is the last time. fire teleports away.*)
In canon it was only after the Scroll was collected and the captives free did anyone in the Celestial Realm confirm that the Jade Emperor was no longer with them.
But in the case of the extended royal family; they knew the moment Xiwangmu roared to the Heavens. A connection in her heart severing like a line of red string cut. The last time her grief shook the realms, she tore open the Heavenly River itself and flooded the earth. Now the skies are beginning to crack... doesn't take a genius to know why the Queen Mother is weeping.
In the aftermath, Red Son and his parents are released from the Scroll. Only to see Xiwangmu and the Maidens. The elderly tigress crying waterfalls into her hands as her elder daughters cling to her robes and sob.
Iron Fan's normally stoic expression breaks. She calls to her mother, dropping to her knees and burying her face in her arms like she's a child all over again. Even without words, the princess knows.
The Bull King does not join the women, but he gives clear permission to his child to. Red Son didn't even need to ask.
Xiwangmu: "You were the last one to see him, fire opal. What were his last words to you?" Red Son, clinging to PIF: "He said... that I was his daughter's son." PIF: (*breathes a shocked gasp through her tears!*) Xiwangmu, smile breaking through: "Typical Yudi. Deciding things without telling me." Red Son: "What do you mean?" Nezha: "The Jade Emperor has not recognised Princess Iron Fan has his daughter since the war." DBK, voice a mix of shock/delight: "He recognises your mother as his daughter again. Which means he-" PIF, determinedly wiping her tears: "He recognises you as his legitimate grandson, and as an heir to the Celestial Throne." Red Son: (*too shocked to speak. makes tea kettle sound as flame hair dies to embers. faints Yamcha-style*)

So, Egged MK is almost certainly put on house arrest after the self-sacrifice stunt, but whose house? His, Pigsy and Tangs, where he was raised and will be most comfortable? Flower Fruit Mountain where Sun and Macaque can keep an eye on him and he is constantly loved on by all the monkeys? The bull families where there's an entire army of bull clones serving him, Red is always close by and Iron Bull can keep an eye on him and their grand calf?
I feel like after a lot of fighting, they eventually set up a rotation, so MK won't go crazy staying in one place.
Ref.
Oh definitely!
MK hates the idea of being cooped up in one place for too long - no matter how much his dads, mentors, and Red try to get him to rest in his delicate condition. Especially after harnessing the powers of the Five Stones and trying to sacrifice himself to the Pillar. That put MK in timeout at Pigsy's for a while.
MK was pretty much passed out after harnessing so much power. Pigsy and Tang made sure he was all nice and tucked into his bed, and fed his favourite dishes every night. MK felt like a little kid staying home sick from school all over again.
Sandy always drops in to make sure MK is taking his natal vitamins and drinking ginger tea for his morning sickness. He's a big softie and can't stand the thought of the Egg being hurt from all that hero-ing they did. He very briefly curses the Black Tortoise for putting MK under so much stress, but quickly apologies and offers some peppermint cookies he baked. Mo happily curls up on MK's lap during these visits - purring loudly against the monkey's belly as if he can hear what's inside.
Mei visited near daily - keeping her fave monkey man up to date on how chaotic their world had become now that billions of people shouldered the Pillar. Lots of funny videos are shared of humans' whose powers activated for the first time.
Red visits as well, not only to tag along with Mei as they did before, but to "court" MK in a subdued fashion. His Noodle Boy isn't in the shape for hitting the town just yet - but MK def finds the flowers, sweets, and heartfelt conversations just as good. Often they fall asleep in each other's arms. Pigsy pretends he didn't see them.
Wukong feels nervous leaving MK alone at all. This monkey will leave a hair clone hidden in the room to keep an eye on MK. Macaque catches Wukong doing this after a single day and scolds him. Only for MK to reveal that he's been seeing Macaque watching him from the shadow of his tv all morning.
After roughly a week; MK develops major cabin fever and is nearly screaming to be let out of his room. It smells. He hasn't had a real shower. He wants to get his own cheese tea!
Begrudgingly his family lets him.
Only for an arguement to spike up between the dads, monkeys, and the Bull family about where MK is going to stay for the remainder of his pregnancy.
Pigsy and Tang advocate for MK to stay in his apartment. Keep him somewhere familiar and close to his family and modern medicine.
Wukong and Macaque suggest Flower Fruit Mountain. That's where MK was born, and where he accidentally spawned his Egg. Maybe his Stone Monkey instincts would prefer returning to his island of birth to have his own baby?
DBK and PIF of course want MK to come live at the Bull Palace in the Flaming Mountains. Him and Red Son have already expressed their intent to court one another, and the Egg has taken enough dao from Red to be considered her child. They can have an entire squadron of Bull Clone servants tending to MK's every need. They are not only concerned for their future grandchild, but for MK himself. PIF's pregnancy with Red was very risky, and they both have trauma from the dramatic birth. If MK were to truly go into distress as so many records of Stone Monkeys suggest, then they want him nearby so that they comfort him and even call in Xiwangmu or Guanyin to help.
The argument continues even as MK walks in through the door with Red and Mei at his side.
MK: "Hey guys, is it okay if I had like a rotation for where I stayed the night?" Wukong: "Huh? Why?" MK: "I want to keep up my training as much as possible, but I know Dadsy and Baba would get worried about me. And I know the baby is gonna be a little fiery-bull baby, so I need to get used to the palace." Mei: "Don't forget sleepovers with da best auntie ever." MK: "Word. And I don't want anyone to think I prefer anyone over them! I love all you guys, and I hope that the baby does too." (*puppy-dog eyes*)
The fam shares glances... and agree to MK's plan.
Being a monkey, MK is instinctually drawn to make a nightly nest, something that before only manifested as messy blanket-hogging. Now he's cooking a mini-monkey, that instinct evolves into making a literal blanket fort every night.
What better way to indulge this instinct than by letting him make a fresh nest in all his favourite locations (almost) every night?
Pigsy and Tang are as adoring as before. They start clearing out the upstairs storage space to make a nursery for the Egg. MK catches Pigsy swearing as he assembles a crib, and just starts bawling at the sweet gesture. The apartment is sort of MK's "default" nesting space when he can't decide on somewhere or would be left alone otherwise.
DBK and PIF are surprisingly protective of MK in this time - owing to PIF's own past pregnancy with Red Son being so risky. The queenly demoness shows MK all of Red Son's most embarrassing wood-block paintings, and all the baby clothes they had saved for just an occasion. DBK will literally carry MK to and from the bathroom if he so pleases it (Red has tried, but can barely carry MK to the couch before he gets winded). His nickname of "Little Thief" now evolved into a term of endearment - what else to call the one who stole his son's heart? The army of robotic Bull Clones tend to MK's every whim - he feels uncomfortable asking a regular servant, and still thanks the robots for their help. [MK just seems like someone who'd thank an automatic door or roomba.]
MK's stays on Flower Fruit Mountain is always time for celebration. The little monkeys can tell that he's carrying, and swarm him for grooming and nap times. Wukong isn't comfortable teaching MK anything too strenuous at this time, but he does trick him into attending pre-natal yoga classes. Macaque is barely any better - he helps MK with his nightly nest-building, like a grand-monkey helping their grown cub. Macaque is the first to confirm the Egg's "quickening" when MK starts to feel it. The monkeys are just delighted to be in each other's company at this time.
If MK just wants some time with his bestie, he heads over to Mei. She has her own apartment deeper in the city, and has already tricked out an "MK and EK room!" ("EK?" "Egg Kid!") for their visits. It took her a moment to understand why MK was making a blanket fort, but she happily joined in when she realised it was a nesting behaviour! Dragons naturally join in with nesting to keep their litter-mates and their eggs warm. There's def photos of MK fast asleep in the nest, hugging Mei tight. She captions one of the photos "Looks like I'm a body pillow tonight. Future nibling has started kicking!"
Occasionally during his time with the Bull fam; MK runs off with Red to the Fire-Wind Cave for... meditating. And actual meditating since MK learned that Red Son used to be Guanyin's disciple and wanted to know what he learned from that time. Lots of soft cuddling and bonding occurs.
A few time Xiwangmu has busted in and offered MK some time in the Celestial Realm so that she can get to know him and her future great-grandcub. MK only comes once he's assured that the time difference isn't how the stories claim it to be (a celestial day is just super long, not actually a whole year passing on earth), and that he can take Red Son or his family as company. Xiwangmu has already prepared an entire wing of the Jade Palace in preparations for the new royal baby.
MK get's time alone of course. If he's not in his regular spots, he's normally playing arcade games or enjoying some nice street food. He makes a point of leaving offerings at the Temple of N眉wa. He wants to honour the goddess that gave him life, and the choice to preserve the lives of this world.
So it's no wonder that MK's Stone Egg 100% ends up being born in none of these super-safe places...

I just had a thought- Spicynoodles in the MKEgged AU would probably want to wait for a bit before giving Haoyu a bio sibling, both because of the initial fear that his pregnancy gave them and because Xiaotian's body needs time to heal because Stone Monkeys aren't really built for multiple pregnancies.
But that doesn't mean they can't adopt!
Now I'm imagining my idea ages ago of Spicynoodles kiddos, but a few are adopted. I did conceptualize them before I thought of Stone Eggs
First set of babus were; Xuancao & Yingsu [#1 & #2], Zishan, Shuixian & Chuju [#3, #4 & #5]. Origin Post.
Then came "Iron Fan drawn from memory" Tiemian [#6]. Origin Post.
Then "You sure Tang didn't just mitosis?" Yinghuo [#7]. Origin post.
And then the "Rambutan babies" Muxi & Mudan [#8 & #9]. Origin Post.
+some unspecified future triplets, and the occasional inclusion of bud's @nem0lux3 oc Hua Jiao!
I can now imagine with Haoyu's creation being unusual + his birth not ideal - MK and Red Son would be more open to adoption than creating a fresh Egg.
MK is hanging out with Nezha - tagging along for the Lotus Prince's regular god-duties of blessing newborns and kids on their birthdays; only for them to encounter an abandoned baby.
Haoyu has been asking for a baby sibling so...
(*MK approaches his and Red's shared home in the city, nervously holding the tiny stray baby in a sling. The baby has reddish-auburn hair, and dark skin that reminds him of his spouse - little vitiligo-like stripes mark her skin. MK breathes deep to psyche himself up before entering.*) MK, walking in: "Heyyy Red, don't be mad, buuuut when I was out with Nezha we-" (*MK stops suddenly at the sight in the living room. Red Son looks a mix of flustered, horrified and hopeful, as he rocks a baby demon in a car seat.*) Red Son & MK: "..." MK: "How about you go first?" Red Son: "Thank you. I was visiting my father's parents in Youdu, and when I brought up the possibility of us adopting a child, they mentioned that the Underworld has a pretty large population of unclaimed young souls so..." (*Red Son guestures to the baby in the car seat; it's a little girl with dark brown hair and skin tone similar to MK. Seems to be mixed human-feline demon.*) MK, realising: "Aw! You thought she looked like me and couldn't even wait to ask?" Red Son, adoring: "Yes! I met with K峁tigarbha, and they brought me to the banks of the River by Naihe Bridge, and this little angel just... floated to the shore." (*Red Son gently kisses the baby's head*) Red Son: "They said that it's how little ones... enter the Underworld before they have the chance to be blessed. Their souls come to shore when they find someone to claim them." MK, leaning down to meet the baby: "Ohhh, a little floater baby. Hi!" Baby #1: (*barely old enough to smile. makes curious burbling sounds at MK and the other baby in his arms. Her hands have tiny claws, betraying her mixed demon heritage.*) Red Son, fixing on MK's baby: "What's the story with your little one?" MK: "Well now my story seems boring by comparison! Nezha has been helping train my astral projection powers, and he asked me to come along with him in spirit while he did his baby blessings. All was okay - I saw a lot of 100 day parties. But then Nezha got this look on his face, and we like swooped down to this riverbank where-" Baby in MK's arms: (*angry kitten-like sound*) MK, soothing her: "Yeah, baby, I'm telling them... She was all alone and... they tied her up in a bag. A bag, Red!" (*becoming distressed*) "Nezha was only able to sense her cus she just turned a month old and didn't have her Man Yue blessing. If we hadn't found her then-" Red Son, calming him: "Do not think about the buts, sunflower. She's with us now." MK, tear of relief: "Heh. Butts." Red Son, small laugh: "Puerile as ever... have you taken her to a doctor?" MK: "Even better! Your other grandma saw us after me and Nezha had her checked out by Chen Jiggu - you know the paediatric goddess? When I mentioned Haoyu wanted a sibling well... you know Xiwangmu." Red Son: "She shriek-roared, burst into tears, and started hugging you and the baby?" MK: "Yup. I could barely get a word out. She's already started calling her s奴nn菤 and demands we organise a proper Man Yue party for her." Red Son: "I hope she feels the same for the stray I acquired."
After tending to both babies, the pair notice that they have eerily similar features to one another... as if they were twins or close relatives. They try not to dwell too much on the possible reasons.
Within a few hours, news of babies Xuancao (named for a flower of remembrance; Poppy) & Yingsu (their little Tiger-Lily who's stripes have only just developed) gets out.
Haoyu arrives home after spending the day with Granddadsy and Gonggong Tang to see a pair of baby sisters in his old crib. He's overjoyed and accidentally wakes them in his delighted hooting (much to MK and Red's dismay).
Pigsy and Tang had been there to drop Haoyu off, and they quickly recognise the little cries that followed the hooting. The poor pig man nearly has a heart attack XD
Pigsy, pointing at the baby girls: "Since when!?" MK, holding one twin: "Haha - would you believe less than a few hours ago?" Tang, joking: "Wow. You two worked fast." Red Son, holding the other twin: "They were not made in that manner!" Pigsy & Tang: "Huh?" Haoyu, excitedly: "Oh! I know! L菐olao says babies float on the Underworld's river, and they get out when they meet their parents!" Tang: "Well, it's not exactly-" Red Son: "He's actually right in this case." Tang: "EH!?" MK, gesturing to the respective twin: "Underworld freebie. Above-world freebie!" Haoyu, smiling smugly: "Told you, Gonggong!!" Pigsy & Tang: (*both thinking hard*) Pigsy, shrugging: "Eh. I literally picked MK off the street. Finding one or two on the river ain't that odd. Now - let me meet my granddaughters." Both Babies: (*excitedly reach out tiny hands to inspect their grandadsy's face*)
MK and Red Son's phones are quickly blowing up with calls and messages asking "WTF!? Since when you two were pregnant?!" Wukong in particular calls worried out of his mind, asking if MK is ok and getting medical attention. Seems that a wire got crossed with Xiwangmu bragging about her new grandcub to who anyone who'd listen. XD
The bull grandparents, all three great-grandparents, and the extended Monkie Kids gang, happily accept the twin girls into their lives once the Spicynoodles couple finally manages to explain what happened.
Macaque: "You ordered one and got two. A great deal, in my opinion." MK, teasingly: "You're just saying that cus you managed to have twins too." Wukong, holding Rumble & Savage: "It's a fantastic deal either way!"
DBK and PIF in particular are overjoyed. They understand that a biological grandcalf is a huge risk to ask of the couple - so they happily accept the baby girls as if they were blood related anyway. PIF can finally spoil her girls with all the little dresses and accessories they could ever want. And DBK has a pair of tiny girls who have him wrapped around their little clawed fingers.
Any future spicynoodles babies likely have similar origin stories. At least one is a biologically-conceived child, though it's hard to tell when're all together and acting like they've always been together.
The whole family will fight whoever claims they aren't "real" children to them.
