hm. i need a new retainer so that I'm not eating plastic quite so much . anyway if anyone wants to commission me to make this hurt my wallet slightly less (I'm uninsured 💔), go for it . Last time I had to replace a retainer like this it was $250 for one... Luckily! I only need one this time!

And that's it! Metal Gear Solid, finally done. And what a ride it was! I now understand the hype. This game is phenomenal, with stellar writing, emotional moments, and tough but rewarding gameplay. Yeah, I kept a walkthrough with me the whole time, but honestly, without it, I might still be stuck somewhere.

The last section of this game took me so many tries, but looking back... beyond the Rex fight, I don't know what I was worried about.

Also I legit teared up about Otacon. I didn't know that being a decent person to Meryl locked you into the heterosexual route, so I was terrified that he was actually gonna die. Thank goodness he didnt!

Now, I'm gonna go watch the Olympics, and start the next playthrough soon. How exciting!
