Is there any specific difference between butch and masc? I know that butch is essentially just queer masculinity, and I’m queer and masculine, so most would say that I’m butch, but that term doesn’t really feel accurate. The way I express my masculinity doesn’t feel queer, it feels like a toned down frat guy.

they can and do mean different things to different people! but masc is a catch all term that all masculine people can use, queer or not. if your masculinity doesn't feel queer, then masc might work better than butch for you. butch masculinity is generally viewed as queer masculinity. hope that helps somewhat!

I’m gonna be completely honest, I don’t care if masculinity makes you uncomfortable. I don’t care if you don’t like that trans men take t and that makes you uncomfortable. I don’t care if you don’t like men talking about how much they love men because men make you uncomfortable. I don’t care if you don’t like that I mascs about their experiences because in your eyes they’re “privileged” for being masculine. I don’t care if “ugly” or “aggressive” looking masculine people make you uncomfortable. I don’t care if masculine people in queer spaces makes you uncomfortable. Masculine people have every right to be where they want and do what they want, even if it makes you uncomfortable. Because that is you problem.
