Since I started by explaining more general things, now I'm going to explain the Paranormal Order and the teams! Maybe a little bit of the characters

So, Ordem Paranormal means Paranormal Order, but the official name inside the lore is Ordo Realitas and its a big and secret organization with headquarters in Brazil.

The agents are divided in teams and usually they are always together to fight the paranormal.

Equipe Aniquiladores: The oldest team! The members include Senhor Veríssimo (a NPC, the Order leader), Aaron (NPC, a mysterious sniper), Balu (Played by Calango, funny guy), Arnaldo Fritz (sometimes a npc, sometimes played by Rakin, a famous actor), Chizue Akechi (a NPC, uses Katanas) and some other unknow people, now inactive;

Equipe Veterana de Varredura: Balu, Arnaldo Fritz, Johnny Tabasco (played by Alanzoka, really impulsive) and Luciano Carvalho (played by LJoga, a former military), now inactive;

Maria Judite de Carvalho foi uma escritora portuguesa, unanimemente considerada uma das vozes femininas mais importantes da literatura nacional do século XX. É autora de contos, novelas, crónicas, assim como de uma peça de teatro e de um livro de poesia. Trabalhou nos periódicos Diário de Lisboa, Diário Popular, Diário de Notícias e O Jornal.

Escreve sobre a solidão, o isolamento a perversão e a ironia sempre de uma forma discreta. The most anticipated sporting event in the wizarding world is coming to Britain!

The Departments of International Magical Cooperation and Magical Games and Sports have been hard at work to make this year’s Quidditch World Cup the best yet. A shining, new stadium has been constructed in the remote reaches of Connemara National Park in Ireland, and devoted fans have been camped out since mid-July in anticipation of the August 24th match. This cup has been dubbed “the Battle of the Under-Crups” by many commentators, referencing the surprising shake ups that have led to Brazil and Mali facing off, a pairing no one saw coming! The match will be commentated by James Potter of the Wizarding Wireless Network, and former Holyhead Harpies chaser, Rolanda Hooch. To celebrate the occasion, the Department of Magical Games and Sports is hosting a Team Pride contest, where the individual with the best costume will have their picture taken for the special commemorative edition of the Daily Prophet. Additionally, in an effort to discourage illegal gambling, the Wizarding Wireless Network is gathering predictions on the final score, and the winner will receive a voucher worth 93 galleons to Quality Quidditch Supplies! 

OOC Description

For this event, we will be celebrating the Quidditch World Cup! The event begins today, Saturday, August 19th, and will end on Monday, August 28th. Threads that have already been established (i.e. open starters that have been replied to and closed starters that have been posted) may continue past the end of the event, but we ask that you not post new replies to open starters after the 28th. More details about the event can be found under the cut.

How to Participate

You can create an edit, pinterest board, or written description of your character’s team pride costume to enter the DMGS contest! A winner will be chosen from the characters who participate at random.

You can make a prediction on what the final score will be! The admins have already come up with the final score, and the player with the closest guess will win nothing but bragging rights.

You can post starters during the game, or in the days leading up to it. 

Things To Do

A variety of vendors have set up stalls around the stadium, selling souvenirs, memorabilia, and fan merchandise, as well as traditional Irish food and drink, and some Brazilian and Malian fare. 

Like in the fourth book, there is a campground near the stadium for people to stay and visit. For those unaccustomed to roughing it, and with the right social standing, Eamonn Burke has opened his nearby family home, Burke Lodge, to select guests.

The costume contest will take place on the day of the match, and predictions opened the week before, both in game. 

The match itself lasts 23hr, from 8:30 pm on Tuesday, August 24th, to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 25th. 

The Teams

Brazil; This is the first time in over 100 years that Brazil has made it past the quarter-finals. It was predicted that they would do middling-well in the tournament, but when a doping scandal overturned the final ruling of a game, the team grabbed their second chance with both hands and have been fighting tooth and nail to keep it. In their semi-final match, which lasted a grueling four days, three players suffered injuries. This is team Captain Beatriz Alves’ fourth time on the national team, but her first time in the finals; at 38, many expect this to be her last shot at the cup.

Mali; This is Mali’s first appearance in the tournament, and no one expected much from them. However the team has been steadily climbing their way to the top with a series of decisive victories. Many credit the team’s success to the talent of beaters Hawa Toure and Miriam Kieta. At only 19, Toure is the youngest player to ever make it to the finals.

Ministério mantém manuais digitais por enquanto, mas vai avaliar impacto do projeto-piloto

O Ministério da Educação, Ciência e Inovação vai manter os manuais escolares digitais no próximo ano letivo, mas com a avaliação do seu impacto nas aprendizagens para decidir a continuidade do projeto-piloto que não convenceu todas as escolas.

O projeto-piloto dos manuais escolares digitais vai entrar na quinta fase no próximo ano letivo, depois de, este ano, ter envolvido cerca de 24 mil alunos a partir do 3.º ano em 103 escolas.

No entanto, segundo o Ministério da Educação, Ciência e Inovação (MECI), os impactos do formato digital na aprendizagem dos alunos ainda não foram avaliados e, por isso, a tutela vai pedir um estudo de avaliação de impacto que poderá ditar a continuidade do projeto a partir de 2025/2026.

Para já, esclareceu o ministério em resposta à Lusa, mantêm-se os mesmos moldes para os alunos do 2.º e 3.º ciclos, com a possibilidade de novas turmas aderirem aos manuais digitais, mas não serão integradas novas turmas do 1.º ciclo e do ensino secundário.

Do lado das escolas, nem todas parecem estar convencidas com a transição digital a esse nível e estabelecimentos de ensino que no ano passado aderiram ao projeto-piloto estão agora a recuar.

"Muitas escolas estão a colocar os projetos em banho-maria", disse à Lusa o presidente Associação Nacional de Diretores de Agrupamentos e Escolas Públicas (Andaep) que, sem precisar, explicou que várias decidiram não alargar a mais turmas.

Noutras, o projeto parece mesmo ter sido suspenso e na região de Lisboa há, pelo menos uma escola onde os encarregados de educação de alunos que utilizavam manuais digitais receberam indicação para ir levantar os livros em papel para o próximo ano letivo.

O problema está sobretudo na falta de condições técnicas, considerou Filinto Lima, que relatou que a ligação à Internet falha com frequência e que nem todos os alunos têm computador.

"Temos de começar a construir o edifício digital pelos alicerces", defendeu o representante dos diretores escolares, considerando que a aposta, neste momento, deveria ser o reforço das condições antes de os alunos largarem os manuais em papel.

A opção de adiar a transição digital também não desagrada aos pais.

Em maio, um inquérito sobre o projeto-piloto dos manuais digitais, realizado pelo Movimento Menos Ecrãs, Mais Vida revelou que mais de quatro em cada cinco encarregados de educação estão insatisfeitos e defendem o fim da iniciativa.

Entre as 462 respostas, 90% dos encarregados de educação dizia preferir os livros em papel por permitirem uma maior concentração dos alunos e apenas 8% preferem os manuais digitais. Quase um terço continuava a comprar os manuais em papel, apesar da transição.

Pela Confederação Nacional das Associações de Pais (Confap), Mariana Carvalho reconheceu vantagens na utilização de manuais digitais, mas entende que não existem condições para a substituição dos livros em papel.

"Os manuais digitais poderiam ser uma alternativa caso o planeamento fosse um bocadinho diferente e se tivéssemos infraestruturas para ter uma boa implementação", considerou a presidente da Confap.

Além da ligação à Internet nas escolas, Mariana Carvalho acrescentou que nas salas de aula não existem, por exemplo, tomadas para carregar o computador de todos os alunos e que, muitas vezes, os aparelhos não têm capacidade para que os manuais sejam descarregados e possam ser utilizados 'offline'.

"Há vantagens, mas como não temos infraestrutura, não conseguimos apoiar a 100% a transição digital neste caso específico", lamentou a representante dos pais.

No ano passado, os manuais digitais chegaram a 24.011 alunos, a maioria do 3.º ciclo (46,8%), seguido do 2.º ciclo (28,5%), secundário (16,3%) e 3.º e 4.º anos (8,4%), segundo dados da Direção-Geral da Educação.

Foi o ano mais participado do projeto-piloto que se iniciou em 2020/2021, em plena pandemia de covid-29, com cerca de mil alunos em nove escolas.
