how to find things to cut with

anything that has a sharp point or can be made into a sharp point. eventually you kinda just know what you can use and adapt.

example:

the first thing I ever used was the metal on the top of a number 2 pencil, that holds the eraser to the wood. I bit the metal and eraser, the eraser came out and I could pull the metal off with my teeth. unfold the metal into a line and use as a razor, this will result in cat scratches mainly

you can use thumbtacks, metal wire, safety pins, or anything else like that to scratch as well.

the classic is the pencil sharpener, depending on the type of sharpener it could get difficult. I had one where the blade had a little metal tube where usually a screw is and was molded into the plastic, that was a hard one. usually you can just get the little bit out with the blade pretty easily. if it's the type that is part of the top of a little sharpener then throw ts on the ground or at the wall as hard as you can, best bet is the lil piece will be left.

alr, to get it out you ideally want a little screwdriver, flatheads work too ofc. if you don't have one, sometimes you can use your nail or a ruler. anything with a short, flat edge should do.

shaving razors are usually flimsy if you take them from a Gillette or Venus. they'll be small and thin and really hard to get out of the head that holds like 4 of those things and you have to be careful not to cut your finger, that's ultimately the goal ik, but I'm sure you don't want little knicks on ur fingertips. honestly, scissors like kitchen scissors help, you start with the sides that are pretty thin, but the top and bottom will suuuuckkk. dead fucking ass i use my teeth. when in doubt bite the shit out of it for real. there's really no advice for this method, just wing it 🫡

double edged razors are my pookie babies, I used to be scared of them but once I found one I had to keep it, like I sorta alr said I don't wanna be cutting my fingers and hands trying to cut my arms and legs 🙄 so I put it in a napkin and break it in half like you would for some of the shavers these are used for. then I've got a second blade that won't get dirty with this one and I won't forget which side I'm using. these are everywhere in the US, so tbh if you can't buy it steal ts 💀

BOX CUTRERS

oh GURL I don't even wanna correct that typo, if you get a good sharp one and not one of your dad's dull ones that he uses for boxes at work, GURLL. you be careful cus ask and you shall fucking receive. no retrieval method for this one, it's just there and ya crank it.

exacto knives will get you a good fucking styro ts got precision girl. and anything else like this, like those little paper cutter pens things those are similar. its harder to go long with these but they will be thick deep and juicy just like this pussy

GLASS break a mason jar and pick your fav, break a wine glass ur mom won't miss and pick ya fav, break a glass bowl, break a girl's glasses in the psych ward, etc etc like the options are limitless unless you like don't have any glass at all. these will usually give you a nice jagged cut, I've only gotten styro but glass usually makes you keloid scar so that's a plus.

i feel like there's not enough talk abt safe spaces 4 men getting mocked or invaded by women, like ppl go off constantly abt "men invading safe spaces 4 women" and how "women need safe spaces from men" but like i never c any1 wanna talk abt women who r not a part of the queer community invading queer only spaces and queer men only spaces and basically acting like queer men only safe spaces should double as safe spaces 4 them bc they c queer men (especially gay men) as a safe space 4 them bc of the assumption that none of us r gonna flirt w them

apart from the obvious bisexual erasure tho there's something they also usually fail 2 consider, a lot of queer men don't feel safe around women who r not also queer bc of the power in society that non queer women hold over queer men

just 2 b clear, im not talking abt pre transition transmascs or transmascs who simply don't want 2 medically transition, im also not talking abt queer women that ppl often 4get r part of the queer community like ace or aro women, im not talking abt heterosexual transfems im talking specifically abt women who do not identify as queer in any way who go into places that r specificly meant 4 queer men who don't feel safe around women 2 hang out in a safe environment w/ other queer men bc "this way they dont hav 2 worry abt guys flirting w them" and they just expect all of the queer guys 2 let this happen and b like "omg yas queen we r honoured that u would trust us lowly fags w ur safety like this" like gurl no, u r coming into a space that is meant 2 b a safe space 4 us away from u and acting like we should b proud or smth 4 making room 4 u, u realise we only do that bc we feel forced into doing so right? bc if we don't then u'll accuse us of being misogynists or u'll try 2 act like us not letting u into our safe space means u'll 100% get assulted and that that's more important than u possibly harassing us or our friends or assulting us or our friends or trying 2 make us or our friends completely reliant on u so u can turn us into ur new accessory

Hope you are handling life with better wits about yourself than I am. I’ve tried to look at all sides in this "SK-Media Sich" we are in, I’ve been crying, ranting and yelling during Mercury Retrograde and I’ve been silently nodding my way through the past couple of days, but surprise-surprise, I’m done with alla dat, so I’m here to bitch and let bygones be bygones. I just gotta do it loudly if not my brain will not register, cause you know I’m getting old an all.. And by bygones I mean, the hope that SK Media will, somehow, see the light and rectify their ways.

SK-MEDIA 👏🏾 DOESN’T 👏🏾 LIKE 👏🏾BTS.

The quicker we get that engraved in our skulls the easier EVERYTHING will get.

They absolutely never had, they presently definitely don’t, and most likely never will. Media is a profession, and like every profession they need money, to make a living you know, like I do, and you do. However, there are certain jobs which have a moral code that should be higher than others. Such as doctors, lawyers, law enforcement officers, to name a few, as they are directly involved with the safety of citizens/civilians. Media, in the big year of 2024, should also be considered directly involved with the safety of citizens/civilians.

Media is supposed to be the eyes and ears of the citizens, so that, among the many things, we can be properly informed, in order to make the rightful judgement and/or be warned of dangerous situations we might encounter, so that we can be properly prepared. All the while, presenting themselves with integrity, by always upholding good ethics and abiding by a wish of reporting truthful news. Well, my people, SK MEDIA HAS MANAGED TO DO NOT A SINGLE THING OF THE AFOREMENTIONED.

NOT ONE.

To begin with: They are fucking bullies.

Honestly you need to look no further, no k-drama, no old-school urban legend, just figure out who they hate and you’ll have A-Team Bully Squad What?! You thought all those years of bullying, or being bullied, at school would have gone wasted once you graduated from the education system? Child … . Once they’ve found their target, complete annihilation is the goal. Did you drink a few? Caused no physical harm to anybody, damaged no property, but fell at the entrance of your property, mainly because of a sharp turn, took full accountability, and immediately apologised?

AYTE, BET.

Fuck all the women in my country that have been finding it excruciatingly hard to live in their own country. Fuck the young girls who are being contantly s3xuall1 h4rassed. Fuck the upcoming generation suffering from so much collective generational trauma that they may not even make it past elementary school age alive. Fuck the fact that my own country is, for the most part, raising entitled male brats, who don’t fundamentally understand the value of life. Fuck the fact that when S-M Entertainment was created, they unfortunately ended up also creating the foulest and most flawed system for success, aka the Idol Sytem. FUCK ALLA DAT. You don’t go through SK Media to guarantee your success? You don’t pay us to keep your darkest secrets? You offended us in some kinda way? You are not part of the Elite? … You are a woman? … We will end you, bro! Illegally or illegally, cause, who’s gonna stop us?

… And you wonder why K-ARMY has been acting like they have?

And I am not talking about the ones who became anti, FUCK THEM TOO, they are the type of people, who would kick out their own children if they were caught doing the same thing, instead of figuring out causes, teaching accountability and figuring out punishments and future prevention. I’m talking about the K-ARMY who presently are so paralysed by fear that they are scared of even breathing in the fear that perhaps their government/police/media will create some inexistent crime and pin it on 🐱cause we all know how fact checking is paramount and still alive nowadays … 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡. Even as we speak, K-ARMY fear that Samsung might decide to drop 🐱, which hey, it’s your country, do what you gotta do, I can almost guarantee you that Apple is probably literally outside the door waiting for their opportunity, cause here in the West we have our 99 big issues, but an inebriated kickboard, ain’t 1.

They are living this Black Mirroresque kinda reality everyday. You know who else is? 🐱. He is also very aware of how things work in his country UGH! does after all have a reason for existing, can’t stress this enough … and though he definitely would have the right to contest unnecessary mistreatment, he knows he will definitely “die” before he even “attempts to get to the top of that hill”, which is why after he’s done all he needed to do, he’s handeed himself to the A-Team Bully Squad for their Exclusive + Deluxe Treatment reserved to the likes of 875.

Y’all want an extreme example? Here we go:

Picture Germany, 1943 yes I’m going there , their Media at the time was completely controlled by their government, hence allowing them to report lie after lie after blasted lie to their citizens, in addition, from the testimony of many a citizen citizens swore up and down to not know what was going on the concentration camps, just “people would go in, and never come back out …”. So it was that many German Jews because lets not forget that they were all German, just not “aryan” , decided to either find ways to fight which will almost certainly ended in them being k1lled, or just directly un4live themselves rather than being subjugated to that hell, the majority as we all know, had no other choice but to comply.

Yet we do have the likes of Schindler, who managed to save hundreds of German Jews. How did he do that? He most certainly did not try to go against the Media or the government in power, I can guarantee you that. He found other trusted non-Jew Germans, who had contacts with Allies, who had other contacts and so on and so forth. But it was all covert. After all the Allies existed, they were fighting the war, they all knew what was going on in Germany and eventually they found their way to get in and help put an end to it all.

In this horrendous scenario, I-Army are the Allies and K-Army is Schindler, but unfortunately, I have no idea how we can help them, because it has to come from them to us, not the other way round, as we know nothing about how to deal with things over there, BUT, if they need help they all know where to find us and how to get the help they need without attracting unwanted gazes, I’m sure of that. So we must let them be and we will be here for them if/when they need.

While the rest of the world slowly keeps finding out about the SK Media Clown Show, we’ll keep doing our “storming”. We won’t be silent, we’ll keep reporting injustice, we’ll keep fact-checking and make sure that people also do the same, we’ll keep reporting fake/anti accounts, we’ll keep sending fan letters even if it is just 3 per month now we’ll keep buying merch, we’ll keep streaming songs, we’ll keep doing projects in their name, etc etc etc.

I will never surrender.

Because they are worth fighting for.

Hiya! 🍓 and 🍄 for the writers truth and dare ask game?

Hi hello and thank you so much! :D <3 How did I get into writing fanfiction. Well, I was watching my favorite TV show at the time with which I was obsessed and I thought, “Fucking hell, they’re gonna mess up this relationship dynamic next episode, aren’t they?” And I was just like, “Welp, I better write what I think they ought to do before they fuck it all up I guess.”

What I wrote was pretty shit, but I guess good enough, because this fandomer—and I would say she was the equivalent of a @capiturecs or @sitp-recs in HP fandom, somebody who made it their business to read a LOT of fic for the ship and who would readily hype and rec new and old writers alike—found my fic right away somehow and was like, “Oh, you need to post here and here and here,” and taught me about Yahoo groups (this was in 2001, I believe), and the rest is pretty much history. I simply never stopped.

Share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings.

LOL as soon as I get one I tend to write it into a fic, so I’m not altogether good at spontaneous head canons, I don’t think. Hmmm. I guess one of my favorites—and this isn’t a pairing thing—is that Harry and Ginny both realize their queerness through failing to make their own relationship work post-war. I mean, they had this crush in their school years almost entirely based around perceptions of who they were at the time and not necessarily the reality, and certainly not the reality of who they would become. Plus I think Harry conflates safety and love with all things Weasley, as naturally he would, and thus is like, oh hey, here’s the very heterosexual next step it seems like I should take toward maintaining that safety and sense of belonging for the rest of my life. And Ginny. I just want to be like, gosh, gurl, go find yourself! And I think she might find herself interested in pussy.

I absolutely adore the way you write Maegor and make him so creepy, I am so happy to have found someone that's obsessed with Maegor like me and again I wanted to ask you (I know I've been asking too much, please take a break if you need it) what would Maegor do if his little princess killed herself when she found out that she needed to marry someone or died mysterious.

Oh and one more ask (it's definitely not for my self insert fanfiction 👀 and again totally get it if you don't wanna answer my asks) how would the Targaryen Dynasty or Maegor (if you only do him) react to a kingdom or emperor where the royal family are Dracotaurs (Half-man, half-dragon people, in my fanfiction they aren't lizard people but humans with dragon features like dragon horns, scales on their skin and are able to turn into big ass dragons)

Haiiii!!! No worries! Your asks have actually made me really happy this past couple of days! I actually have never written any fanfiction on Maegor before, mostly because ASOIAF as a piece of literature intimidates me, so i am really happy that you like my little bits of Maegor!

I think the reaction depends a lot of the way of dying. Nobody reacts the same to a violent and impressive death than a slow but clearly progressive sickness that may cause death. Depending of the way of his little princess dying he would react differently, but the constant is the same: Rage. Rage to her ladies-in-waiting and septas and guards that did not secured her safety, Rage to the Maester for not being able to do anything to save her, Rage to her, because, how dare she to do such a thing to her life? Have he not been a good father to her? Look how the tantrum she throwed ended! And now Maegor is alone! She left him alone! She abandoned him! Perhaps, on the deepest of Maegor's mind, he also is rageful against himself, because he know that somehow he caused his little girl to take such decision... but it is just in the back of his mind, like a distant echo that it is only heard when it is all dark and he is not able to sleep.

As for an empire of Dracotaurs, i think it would literally flip the Targaryens world upside down. For centuries they tought that they were the only family that holded the power of the dragons. That itself gave them excuses to believe themselves different from the rest of Westeros to the point of have a permit to commit incest. To see another dynasty that not only have some parts of dragons but are dragons themselves would make them all defensive, that dynasty are not dragonriders, they are THE DRAGONS THEMSELVES!

The Saga comics for the fandom ask

M/F OTP: as I told you I wanted to catch up with the comics (and Monstress for the other ask) before I answered this (65 issues so far... #66 initially came out next week but it's been pushed back to September)... but I strongly suspected what my answer was going to be lmfao.

The only romance I'm here for it's Alana/Marko. It's foundational to the story, it's impactful. I love the star-crossed shit, I love the real messiness in their marriage, and I love the PAIN and ANGST they cause me *cries in issue 54*.

And... they made Hazel. I love that girl to pieces. And not only did they make her but also they raised her like this:

[Redacted]: Last Night, [my son] and I had a disagreement. In the heat of the moment, I may have inadvertently… laid hands upon him. Alana: You hurt your own child?! Hazel (narrating): Despite all the violence I’d seen by then, this was the first time I had ever considered that parents could do anything but love and protect their kids.

The usual caveats: not a lot, only when he “really deserved it”, never too hard, they were just trying to raise a good boy, products of another time... you get the idea. Hazel's life is next-level chaos. One look at her -at the horns in her head and the wings on her back- betrays her mixed heritage between two warring empires and puts a target on her back. But these two, whatever their flaws might be, tried their hardest to give her safety and joy during her childhood against all odds and in conscious direct opposition to their own upbringings*, and I love them for that.

(excuse me I have something in my eye *sniffs*)

*we don't know as much about Alana's youth (yet) but we know her father ends up marrying a girl she went to summer camp with and that she joined the army "to escape" so err... yeah.

M/M OTP: well, if whatever ends up killing The Will has a male pronoun in my language, I'm all for that xDD

This is not even about him [spoilers]. I could balance that out with him saving Sophie. It's about how this motherfucker keeps surviving every single righteous and not-so-righteous assassination attempt on him and all the collateral damage it takes to make that happen ¬¬

But I guess Doff and Upsher were cute too LOL.

F/F OTP: none yet and I'd like the story to go there with some character tbh. Hazel, or Klara; a f/f love story could work for either of them.

OT3: when Petrichor said she'd be down for a threesome with Alana and Marko... get it gurl xD

So, I never received any spoiler for the other parts of this Trilogy. So, my prediction would be the Krang is here or somehow Shredder lived.

So your gurl looked at the article. To be honest I don’t like earmuffing when people I disagree with I am talking because a) I want to know if I am wrong and b) to see why I disagree with someone and what made them think they way they do. In my personal opinion JK keeps looking at trans issues -and to be perfectly candid other groups she doesn’t belong to- in a very cold way. She always distances herself from groups she does not relate to and studies them just as experiments and social speciments. I don’t think she could ever be truly understanding if she keeps this way of learning of communities outside of her own and I can’t imagine her being friendly with anyone that is fundamentaly different from her. However my feelings on how the internet cancelled her is questionable. On one hand I think her opinions are uneducated at best and harmful at worst with her grievances around trans rights and the legislation surrounding trans health and safety. On the other hand I do not think that death threats should be the answer to this. The majority of posts I have seen have been boycotting the art that directly supports her financially and thus removing her power. There is always in every cancelling wave and extremely agressive people who just scream-tweet at the void and harass until they make their target fearful enough to be ostracized from the internet. I feel very strongly about this type of behaviour as I feel it underminds people’s actual concerns to JK Rowlings statements and makes the unaware think that this is simply an hateful meltdown by the alt-left.

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

Howdy-do to all you smart Gurls, passionate Bois and brave Enbys!

I hope that you are doing well and that you are all packed and ready, as today, is finally the day. No, regrettably, we are not going to Oz, but we are off to a very treacherous, and to some bewildering, journey nonetheless. So grab your comfort whatever food, drink, plushie, etc and hold on tight cause it's about to be a looooooong and bumpy ride all the way to, and through; Idol World not the show by the way 😬.

🛫 Once again, welcome aboard flight DSS-875. This is Captain Marengo speaking and I would like to share some safety information for your flight today. Though the topic at hand is Idols, we are only going to be discussing Male Korean Idols as this journey is aimed to eventually demonstrate how the boys from Bangtan could successfully manage to escape from said “World”. In order to do so we will be making use of a couple of Definitions and a bit of History, and as always, logical deductions and educated guessing will be applied. As of present, the weather on our route is a bit overcast, with some rain, and I do expect a bit of turbulence. If, like me, you've unfortunately made it a habit to spend an unhealthy amount of time on the Blue Bird App, you will have noticed the increasing amount of abhorrence felt by Western fans with regards to the usual treatment of Korean Idols. Notice how I highlighted those two words? Yeah …Thing is, in our present day, a Korean Idol, and their Korean fans, will never be shocked at their blatantly unfair treatment. However, for us Western fans, who only have Boy Bands as a frame of reference, such treatment is unheard of, unacceptable, and just down-right stupid.

Of Male Korean Idols and Male Western Boy Bands

The concept of Idol originated in Japan in the 1960s, and was later on adopted by Koreans as well in the 1980s. An Idol can be a musician, but can also be an actor, a dancer, a model, etc, whereas if you are part of a Boy Band, being able to sing is literally the one thing you should be able to do. Below is an excerpt found in the Wikipedia page talking about Japanese Idols, which I believe perfectly explain what an Entertainment Idol actually is:

Let’s keep in mind the words Sell Dream and Escapism, it will come in handy later. Now, because of my “limited” experience with Japanese Idols, as you all know ARASHI is very dear to me, I’d like to offer my two cents on something I’ve been wondering about with regards to the name Idol itself. Below are the definitions of the words Idol and Ideal:

For the longest time I've wondered if Japan named this type of entertainers Idols even though what they perhaps meant was actually Ideal? But then Ideal doesn’t sound as powerful as Idol, does it? Regardless, at the end of the day, that’s exactly what an Idol is; an Ideal. An Ideal that is being “sold” for lack of better words and fans can “buy” this Ideal, which was made specifically for them I mean when you think about it now, in 2024, it is a terribly dangerous “product”, but in the 1960s, they probably couldn’t even imagine things like cellphones would exist so …. In comparison, we in the West never had high expectations for our Boy Bands. Sure, dancing was fun if there was any, but we didn’t really care if we did AJ would have gotten the love he deserved 😩 all we needed was a handsome face singing about how they were gonna love us forever. Literally, that was it. The definition of bare minimum.

Eventually, once we’d grow up because don’t forget that Boy Bands are primarily considered a teen phenomenon …, so would our Boys in the Band, and we would fully expect them to fall in love with someone, preferably us, but still someone. Eventually when they would fall in love and get married, sure, there would be some fans crying cause, “it should have been me”, but that would have been about it. After a week or so we would have either made peace with it, or it would be off to Boy Band Graduation Station🫡. But A Korean Idol? Falling in love with an actual person? How is that possible when the instructions on the box clearly state that they are here for me? Like … you are telling me that, you who is supposed to be here for me are now going to be property of someone else? Like.. I literally bought you, don’t play with me! …😬🤡😩

Now before we land, I’d like to share a bit of history.

The first group to be considered an Idol Group in Korea is H.O.T., an 5M group, so here I present their debut song “Candy” - September 7, 1996.

In comparison, around the same time, the biggest Boy Band in the West actually world in 1996 was … you’ve guessed it … Backstreet Boys. So here I give you their debut song, which was actually from the previous year one of my fav BSB songs btw “We’ve Got It Goin’ On” - September 11, 1995.

On one hand we have five American boys from Orlando, who also introduced themselves, so that we all could remember their names right away with their first song smart AF if you ask me, and just seemingly having a good time. They are not promising you the world off the bat, but they are letting you know that they are cool AF and maybe you should hang? Whereas H.O.T. are five boys from Seoul telling you that they woke up with the intention of breaking up with you, so y’all already in a relationship, like … but basically despite all odds, you are the best thing on this planet and so they will not break up, and instead they are going to be with you; forever. Basically, one group is flirting but promising nothing, the other is already committed to you. And that is basically one way you can describe the difference between Western Boy Bands and Korean Male Idols, but in better words:

A Boy in a Band would love to be heard, an Idol really needs to be heard.

✈️ I’ve already started my descent procedure into Idol World Airport. We expect to land in the next 30 seconds as scheduled. The weather is still overcast and rain is still falling. More Coldplay, Less One Direction

Our boys didn’t come from that Orlando Boy Band platform, they came from the Seoul Korean Idol one, and this is something we need to understand, because when they signed up to be idols, they originally signed up to sell dreams and be your means to escape reality, willingly or not. And I am not saying that escapism is bad, not at all, but like all things it has its negative side, and I can positively say that nowadays, Idol Culture is mostly associated with unhealthy escapism, which subconsciously, is one of the reasons why 4RMY fights tooth and nail to prove that 875 is for example not-Kpop. And by not-Kpop we actually mean that Bangtan are not Idols, and by not-Idols we actually mean they are not a boy band, and by not-a-boy-band we actually mean that they are more like Coldplay and not like One Direction… does that make sense?

Let’s take a quick look at 4RMY before the Tannies: I’m a 90s kid, meaning I was around when Boy Bands were IT, from Take That all the way to Blue who were officially my last Boy Band. I was there when boys would try and cover the “As Long As You Love Me” dance in order to impress girls in elementary school and I was there when, during my last year of high school, N*SYNC disbanded and Boy Bands were officially declared uncool/losers, same as the people who liked them seriously and were not teenage girls because, once again, never forget: teenage girls only are allowed to like boy bands 🤡. In fact, One Direction even being a thing was probably because the West suddenly felt some sort of Boy Band Nostalgia, as there hadn’t been a good Boy Band or any at all actually for almost a decade then.

But eventually, they ultimately became more of the same: one member was the most popular, the relationship between the members wasn’t as good as they were portraying it to be, the songs were always the same topic, etc etc etc. So when 875 slowly made its way into our lives, they came like a breath of fresh air, for us who didn’t even notice that we actually weren’t breathing. To begin with, even though we couldn’t understand the lyrics, the fact that the musical production was top-notch, was enough to keep you listening. Then, realising that these boys could really sing, that they could really dance, really rap and that they really did get along, was short of mind-blowing for many. And that was it; we were locked in.

Now, Let’s Look at the Tannies before 4RMY: To be anyone in the Idol World in the big year of 2010 everybody knew you had to be part of either Y6, JY9 or 5M, aka The Big 3. Nevertheless, hundreds of other little Idol Companies did exist, because every once in a while there would be a not-Big-3 One Hit Wonder, which could put you on the map. But also, and probably mainly, if you are a musician, a performer, a rapper, ultimately you would appreciate people appreciating your art, so any company is better than no Company at all. Hence, when the boys found their way into Big H1t, I am sure they didn’t go with the intention of winning a Daesang, they knew they couldn’t happen, I’d assume that all they wanted was a platform, a stage to perform.

Because they weren’t part of the Big 3, they were not as busy as their counterpart Big 3 groups who were constantly on shows, ads etc. They had time on their hands, but they didn’t waste it. In addition to the endless hours of training that any Idol Trainee in any company would have to do, they used the hell out of their YT channel, because what did they have to lose? Dance practice, song covers, YT challenges, V-logs, Blue Bird app updates, fancafes etc etc etc. They probably figured that if the majority of the people in their own country weren’t interested, someone in the world might be. And they were right; people in the world started tuning in.

And so it was that a group of Male Korean Idols found their perfect group of fans. Fans who genuinely wanted to listen to what they had to say, to watch them dance, to laugh with them, not because they owe it to the fans, but because it made them both happy to do so. Eventually the fandom grew to unimaginable proportions and the artist reached unbelievable fame, achieving goal after goal after goal, so much so that I mistakenly thought that we had actually managed to free the boys from Idol World (as I naively said here → QA~C 8). But I’m realising now, as I am writing this blog that The Genie is Still In The blasted Lamp.

875 are still trapped on Idol World, but not for lack of trying to get out of it mind you. Most definitely Chapter 2 has made escaping virtually impossible. “But 875 have transcended Idol World Marengo, what are you saying?” You might want to tell me, and I would ask you: Have they really now? When a man is being made a public example for falling off a scooter in front of his own house. When a man was potentially dating and its fandom went literally berserk and through obnoxious lengths to try and deny it. When said fandom can’t even manage to pull up to stream for all members when needed. Basically all the Laws in Idol World still fully apply to our boys.

Even after Chapter 2 ends, when the boys are all together, will we ever be able to get them out? Mmmm … I think that perhaps what it is, rather than getting them out, we probably would need to redefine what an Idol is, change the Laws within the World, so to say. Make it so that fans of Idols are not being given the authority, and liberty, to think they are actually “buying people” instead of “their art”. But like everything which involves money, and the Idol World racks in a lot of it, this is very much easier said than done. We are after all talking about trying to change an almost 40 year old institution in a country where women are finding it hard to even be treated with decency 😩😩😩.

Obviously I don’t know what the solution is, but I am sure there is one, there has to be. There has to be one because the Tannies deserve to have a carefree career like Coldplay. That would literally be the ultimate goal. A career where they don’t have to worry about who they date, where they live, who they talk to, what they eat etc, but just enjoy making music and having a blast while performing it, with a fandom that respects them and looks forward to listening and supporting them. Once again, I know Chapter 2 hasn’t been easy but the most important thing at the moment, is to do what @chikooritajjk say they literally say this 👏🏾 every 👏🏾 single 👏🏾 time 👏🏾: WE GOTTA TRUST THE BOYS. Everything else will solve itself eventually, Karma will make sure of it.

And I am done. Idol World is hella big, so I’d suggest you go wander around a little just to understand the environment that the boys are still connected to, and in their own way I’ve been trying to change for the better. Don’t stay too long though, or wander too far, some areas are hella dangerous I tell you, and nobody has any business being there. Oh and have you heard of this new song called I’ll Be There by Jin of 875? Is very good, you should check it out while you wander.
