The vivid pink eye of Jinx, the Loose Cannon, the most dreaded criminal in Piltover and Zaun, flicked hither and thither, reflected to gigantic size through the lens of the magnifying glass.

“Murder,” she declared, “Moist fowl!”

Thunder crackled outside, as if to punctuate her words.

Caitlyn Kiramman pinched the bridge of her nose between her fingertips.

“…most foul,” she muttered, “It’s most foul…”

“…dunno,” Jinx stage-whispered behind her hand, leaning in to Caitlyn's left, “His face does kinda look like wet chicken to me…”

Jarvan the Fourth, recently crowned King of Demacia, lay dead on the parlour floor, a fire poker pushed inconveniently through his brain.

Huddled around the body, eyes filled with trepidation, horror, grief, or morbid curiosity, eight figures held their fitful silence.

Eight luminaries of the nations of Runeterra, invited to Ferros Manor on the outskirts of Piltover for a secretive political summit; Jarvan the fourth, his bodyguard Shyvana, the ostensible host, Camille Ferros, Grand General Jericho Swain, his bodyguard Katarina DuCouteau, Luxanna Crownguard, Cecil B. Heimerdinger, and Caitlyn Kiramman herself.

One remote, stormed-in mansion; one cut-off road. Now seven trapped luminaries…

…one infamous criminal, caught red-handed trying to make off with the Ferros jewels…

And one dead King whose cooling royal blood was making a real mess of a fine Shuriman rug.

Caitlyn released her held breath as quietly as she could.

Shyvana looked up when she heard a not too familiar voice talking to her and felt something pressing against the exposed skin. The half dragon was dirtied with blood, mostly not her own but enough of hers was mixed there to create a strange color since dragon blood was in deeper shade than human's.

If someone was to help her tend to her wounds, she thought it would be one of the guards from the Dracoguard, or even Jarvan if he so happened to see her in that state, but Lux Crownguard? Now that was totally unexpected.

She tiled her head to the side, as if wondering if she should accept the help or just shoo the other away since they weren't even aquaintances, let alone friends.

If anything, they had mostly exchanged some courtesy nods on the few times they had crossed paths.

"It's fine, there's no need for this." Shyvana said, finally.

i am of course not including characters i explore them interacting with already. some of those listed i have briefly discussed at some point? but that was mostly it. also not listing stuff that's very character specific like irelia's brothers or other blade dancers. or varus even though everyone must have seen my propaganda by now 💖

for irelia

i think akali is very interesting given how independent she is and irelia's own conflict when it comes to finding her own way

karma.. please...... i'm begging on my knees i think them having to work together while standing for fundamentally opposite ideas is so interesting

xayah! there's a lot to explore with her fighting for the vastaya, given irelia's role as a leader and how she would genuinely care and want to find a middle ground

sona.... childhood friends please...

zed. a whole lot of potential there. btw i'll never get tired of pointing to this time a rioter said she was likely tempted to join the order at some point

at the same time i think riven could be interesting because of her being noxian and regretting what she did, i have so many issues with how that's developed in canon. i guess i'd be interested in exploring it differently, but idk how interesting that would be because i simply don't find it believable irelia would forgive someone who had such a big role in the invasion

also yasuo could be interesting maybe? given rito wants to place him as a defender of ionia and irelia's line to him being kind of about him staying and fighting idk

i think it's always interesting to have her interact with other leaders. noxians excluded, the different perspectives and situations in their respective countries can make it fun

also rell. rell could be adopted and freed of the noxian stain she already hates noxians we're halfway there (no but i sincerely think they could bond over hating noxians and also that it could be so good to have rell be influenced by someone whose magic is not a burden, especially considering the similarities in their magic)

sylas because irelia would be team sylas did nothing wrong tbh

syndra because having irelia deal with an ionian who suffered at ionian hands and hates ionia would be. interesting.

honestly for other verses i'm just always happy to interact with people writing in other verses asjnfksjfn i can't think of anything too specific. i love music verse and i love star guardian and i love spirit blossom and i have verses for those even if irelia doesn't have skins, but i really like odyssey and high noon too. i like immortal journey, but i have a hard time writing in that verse tbh

for ahri

canon ahri is more difficult because of how she is in canon. lore-wise she doesn't exactly have a role that connects her to other stories. her story does make it super easy to put her anywhere to interact with anyone as she looks for the vesani, but there are no strong ties generally speaking

the ruined king champions are the exception, i think, and it would be interesting to interact with any of them. MF and yasuo stand out

but i think pyke is particularly interesting. the sense of kinship they end up finding due to their monstrous natures (regardless of the different form that monstrousness takes) is so!!! i love that. i think their relationship is really interesting

hwei purely because he has a line about her about her artist lover and oof

the dilemmas about their origins and finding a sense of belonging make me think her interacting with shyvana could be nice

xayah! with how strongly yayah feels about wild magic and the first lands belonging to the vastaya and fighting for them etc ahri just not connecting with that could make it fun to explore

i want to say zed but i think that's just because i love zed tbh

for star guardian everyone but her team in particular. and other team leaders like lux and kai'sa/akali

for kda kai'sa and akali (again) of course but i'd love interactions with any of the true damage/pentakill/heartsteel members. and honestly with anyone else who made up something for those verses!! music verse is one of my absolute favorites and i'm always happy to explore it

Occasionally, I still think about how some of the Darksiders characters could work in a MOBA like LoL or SMITE. It's sort of a fun thought experiment. A couple posts ago I went over how I guessed the Horsemen could work, now let's try some of the other characters. Considering these are non-playable characters, I'll use what I can from the Darksiders games as a bit of a basis while also taking some inspiration from the move-sets of characters in MOBAs.

First, a slight addendum to a previous post about the topic. Death’s three abilities could be Teleport Slash, his summoning ghouls, and Dust acting as a sort of "scout" similar to Ashe's Hawkshot in League while his Ultimate is his Reaper Form. Fury's three abilities could be a dash, her one Hollowless Wrath attack in Ds3, an ability to pull an enemy towards you while her Ultimate would he her Havoc Form.

SAMAEL: Using his boss fight from Ds2 as a bit of inspiration, he would have lightning and fire as part of his kit. His first ability could be fire related, being something like summoning a pillar of flame in a specific area while his second ability could maybe be a skillshot of throwing a bolt of lightning which has a chance of stunning an enemy. His third ability could be based off of when he summons the huge balls of plasma during his boss fight, the ones Death has to dodge. Finally, his Ultimate could be something like him forming an aura of lightning and fire to boost his attacks. So I guess he's got bits of Aatrox, Brand, and Kennen as inspiration?

URIEL: Using he boss fight from Ds1 as a bit of inspiration, alongside that of Kayle from LoL. She has one ability where she launch a blade of energy at the enemies, another ability where she summons down a sword or two, while another is a dash attack or tempory shield that could grant invulnerability, and her Ultimate is... I don't know at the moment. I'm sorry.

The ARCHON: He could maybe like a weird mix of Kayne and Lux. Abilities based around both his Angelic nature and the Corruption infecting him, with his Ultimate being a huge beam attack from the Rod of Arafel. I'm sorry I can't think of how to go in depth compared to others.

The DESTROYER: His Ultimate is kinda easy. Make it turning into his huge dragon form. His overall move-set could be a bit like Shyvana's? Oh, or maybe his overall move-set could take a tiny bit of inspiration from both Deathwing and Diablo in Heroes of the Storm! That could maybe work?
