(2) Butler: Forgive my impudence, but surely a visit to the Palace calls for something more formal? A fancier cloak or perhaps a brooch? Lurien: For what purpose? Butler: Master? Lurien: What purpose would such a garb serve?

(3) Butler: Well, it would be a show of respect, to the King and his court. To others, it would show your status and rank. Lurien: Precisely. It is for show. Which is why I have no need of it.

(4) Lurien: Take heed, dear butler. Lurien: I am the Watcher, not the watched.

Something else I did late last night, the first iteration of Lurien's outfit in the AU (subject to change). I want to eventually draw his dreamer outfit as well, but considering this is what he currently looks like in the AU, I decided to draw this one first.

(Don't mind the awkwardly folded wings, I drew them like that just to get them out of the way)

To be the Beast is to be part of a people. A claim of belonging.

To be a Watcher

To be the Watcher is to become an outsider. To see, but not be seen. To ostracize oneself from the watched. To observe, without taking part.

Watcher, Master, Seal, Dreamer, those are his names.
