Hello there! There's a fic with kid Draco getting lost in a muggle museum watching world war stuff and making friends with a muggle family. Where one of the kid leaves him a satellite walkie talkie (had to google that 😭) so his first accidental magic is making the radio work. For years it'll run without battery.

Draco grows up being challenged for all of his spoon-fed views on muggles. But he still has to act like a Malfoy pureblood and whatnot. He also doesn't break the statue of secrecy suprisingly. The family just thinks he's a coddled posh private school kid who is a bit odd and doesn't know some basic stuff. I don't clearly remember if he does get the mark or not. Because I only remember like him being deep in angst about all the voldy resurrection stuff and Harry finding him in the astronomy tower talking to this muggle kid. Oh I think the muggle kid might be non-binary.

Harry is super jealous that Draco has a best friend.

Also I think Harry wanted to be friends with him from the start and is the only one who believes that he's just putting an act. That's why they both end up meeting up and talking to the muggle on the radio. I don't remember beyond that. There are very clear moments of growth from Draco after a talk with the muggle kid. First it's not so good because he thinks himself superior but he becomes close with the whole family and they send him care packages and stuff that he hides. I think dobby or some other elf knows about this.

I also think Draco gets beaten by Lucius. I'm not 100% sure but ye he gets at least slapped or something. Something happens so bad that his respect for his father drops. Something to do with muggles I think.

Thats all I can remember. I can't remember if it's from wattpad ffnet or ao3 sorry about that. But I vaguely remember ao3 images hopefully I'm not wrong. Anyway hope you find this it's a really good story if you can't that's alright 🫂 have a noice day!!!

I'm hoping you can help find a fic thats been on my mind for WEEKS. It might be a full series rewrite or just book 5 onward? But I have a distinct memory of an ootp au where part of Harry undermining the ministry was a series of articles featuring magical creatures and dispelling misconceptions/ministry lies about them. And then the grand finale of the article series was sentient dragon locked in the department of mysteries. Fairly certain it was Draco and Ron who interviewed it and saw a dinosaur while searching for the dragon? I cannot remember anything else except for that single plot point! 😩😩 Thank you!
